O grande mentecapto, de F. Sabino : a construção literária e social do anti-herói Geraldo Viramundo

Aragão, Hudson Oliveira Fontes 28 August 2015 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / We will analyse O grande mentecapto: relato das aventuras e desventuras de Viramundo e de suas inenarráveis peregrinações (1979), the second novel of the “mineiro” writer Fernando Sabino. We considered the work as neopicaresque, such as the theoretical approach of González (1994), and we had in mind that it is a comical genre of literature as well and to apply for a popular setting of main character: the roguery, in the Brazilian literature, usually is followed by the chimerical idealism of Don Quijote (1605; 1615), by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Far beyond of the comical and quixotic adventures, the anti-hero of the novel reverberate as well the tragic face of his intertextual model, because Geraldo Viramundo, “mineiro” walker, will be arrested, interned in psychiatric asylums and including murdered by the crowd, in a public lynching, being a scapegoat, just like Jesus Christ. The violence that the main character is submitted in the plot will be analysed, second the modern jurisprudence, through Michel Foucault (1975), and in an anthropologic and religious level, via René Girard (1972; 1975). The way of analysis will consider still the Brazilian representations – specially the Tiradentes – and the universal ones of the novel (more precisely the Christian elaboration of the main character) and the study will conclude that, in a national point of view, O grande mentecapto is pessimistic, but from the human and universal point of view, it propitiate us, in the chimerical space of the future, a possible escape of the violences that operates the mechanisms of the social coercion.

Mechanical Dynamics of a Sensorless PMSynRel Drive

Yu, Yingbei January 2013 (has links)
Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) concept has, combining conventional internal combustion engines and electric drives, gained more and more interest due to its environmental friendly features. A PMSynRel based electric drive is considered as a good option due to its high torque density and high efficiency. To reduce the overall cost of HEVs, the position resolvers can be replaced by Hall-sensors or using sensorless control. However, the dynamics of such electric drives may be degraded. The main objective of this MSc project is to develop torque dynamics of such electric drives when operating with/without a position sensor. The developed torque dynamic can be used to analyze the limits of hall senor/sensorless strategy when, e.g. anti-oscillation control isrequired. The torque dynamic is presented as a matrix based transfer function extracted from the speed responses and torque responses using Identification Tool Box in Matlab. Firstly, the transfer function was derived by means of simulations in both time and frequency domains. Secondly, similar procedures were applied to extract the transfer functions based on the experimental results.

Synthesis and Characterization of Pani-Coated Vgcnfs and Evaluation of its Use for Corrosion Inhibition

Cebada-Ricalde, Maria Concepcion 15 August 2014 (has links)
Recently, conductive polymer/carbon nanomaterials have drawn attention for use in corrosion inhibition, sensors, energy storage devices, and coatings for electromagnetic shielding applications due to their good mechanical properties and electronic conductivity. Therefore, efforts have been made to find fast and facile methods for the synthesis and development of these hybrids that allow control over key parameters, such as the thickness of the conductive polymer coating. In this study, such hybrids were prepared using polyaniline (PANI) as the conductive polymer and vapor-grown carbon nanofibers (VGCNFs) as the carbon nanomaterial or filler by a semi-dilute in situ polymerization method to be evaluated for their effectiveness as corrosion inhibitory additives to alkyd paints. Spectroscopic, colorimetric, and electric properties of PANI-coated VGCNFs were investigated. The thickness of the PANI coating, along with other parameters, impacts the behavior and mechanisms by which the nanomaterial performs its role in a given application, particularly in the corrosion inhibition processes. Thus, different synthesis conditions, including pretreatment of the nanofibers, the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) surfactant, PreT-VGCNF/ANI ratios (w/w), and polymerization times were tested and their effects on the PANI thickness were microscopically and statistically evaluated. It was found that only different PreT-VGCNF/ANI ratios allowed definite control of the PANI thickness. No clear effect on the thickness was observed after three hours of polymerization. The presence of SDS and pretreatment of VGCNFs displayed a synergistic effect on the appearance and thickness of the PANI film. PANI-coated VGCNF additives, with PANI in the leucoemeraldine base (LEB) and emeraldine base (EB) forms, were synthesized using a PreT-VGCNF/ANI ratio of 0.4 in the presence of SDS. Cold-rolled steel coupons were coated with 20-30 ìm thick alkyd paint coatings, and their electrochemical behavior was investigated by open circuit potential (OCP) and electrochemical impedance (EIS) measurements. The results indicate that, overall, EB/VGCNF additive performed better as a corrosion inhibitor, followed by PreT-VGCNF and LEB/VGCNF additives.

This paper presents a theoretical approach to variacionismo the Brazilian Portuguese (PB), and stigmatized social variants, with emphasis on the Northeast Regional, as well as a discussion regarding the role of the new teacher of Portuguese front of the indication of PCNs (1998) , regarding the enhancement of the linguistic identity, with a focus on communication skills of the subject and linguistic diversity, as well as the use of text, not to address the grammar, but to reflect on the language and languages (BAGNO, 2002). It will show also that Facebook pages can be an instrument of linguistic analyzes in Portuguese classes. Indeed, the fanpage "Bode Gaiato" was used for this purpose in an experiment with didactic sequence (SD) applicable in elementary school classes. Therefore, it was used here as a theoretical basis, Bagno texts (2002, 2004, 1999), Bortoni-Ricardo (2004, 2013), Mattos and Silva (2004, 2013), as well as others. is purposed-to have these results, addressing, through posts of 'Bode Gaiato' (fanpage Facebook), the variacionismo of our language in all its aspects, as well as working with the appreciation of the linguistic identity of the student, demystifying the prejudice of our stigmatized variants, all with the use of a SD prepared and made possible by working with linguistic analysis of posts this fanpage, where he could see the playful viability that the use of Information and Communication Technologies can provide the language lessons Materna. With the implementation of this proposal, it was possible to reflect on the northeastern variant, as well as a small approach other when applied sequential modules that work through the fanpage of the texts in question, phonetic aspects, morphic, semantic and cultural of these texts. Also could understand that the use of SDs to work content through linguistic analysis of texts is a useful practice of using virtual media. It was, then, with this research, that 'genres' of Facebook can be used in addressing their linguistic aspects in regarding the phonetic-structural and semantic tags, demystifying the bias towards stigmatized variants. In 'posts' of the "Bode Gaiato" are found all these brands of the northeastern regional variety, as well as non-verbal signs (images) that complement the reflection of this variant of the PB. Finally, I can say that working with the linguistic-textual features of this page, through the use of mobile devices (on Facebook), in the classroom, allows the teacher address the linguistic variants of our language, aware the student of his linguistic identity, as it is possible to deconstruct the idea of 'right or wrong' and lead the student to reflect on the language, understanding that there are adaptations of social uses for the language and take over the use of variants property is to have a passport to equality of rights and citizenship.

Those are: Encontro no S-Bahn , A mulher que prendeu a chuva , A ponte na Califórnia and Um casaco de raposa vermelha . For this, we relied on the theoretical proposal by Wolfgang Iser, in particular literary anthropology in the category of violence, according to the assumptions of René Girard, and by the method titled topoanalysis, we want to identify possible answers to the following questions: To what extent when literature is interlocking the real with fiction and imaginary can it give us clues to rethink how anthropos - as a perceptive subject - reacts before a space that is unknown? And what about borderline spaces? In which way does the human being respond to the direct conflict of his or her desires with alienating processes with other forms of valid knowledge? What are the implications of that? How the violence is presented? We verified that all short stories analyzed presented a prominence of feminine perspective in common, the presence of a scapegoat, and the conflict that generates violence in spaces, when they are urban, intimate, borderlines or "non-places". Quais as implicações disso?

The scapegoat of José Saramago : reading of two essays in the light of the teory of René Girard

Brito, Melissa Barros, 1983- 24 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Mário Luiz Frungillo / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-24T15:02:52Z (GMT). This work aims to analyse the construction of José Saramago¿s scapegoat with the help of René Girard¿s theoretical writings. In order to do it, two novels writen by Saramago were selected: Ensaio sobre a Cegueira (Blindness, 1995) and Ensaio sobre a Lucidez (Seeing, 2004), whose themes derive one from another. The focus is put on the main character, named simply as doctor¿s wife, who shares the narrative space with other characteres responsible for the developing of the plot. It¿s doctor¿s wife who plays the role of the scapegoat in Saramago¿s novels. The reading of both books from the point of view of Girard¿s works is possible because there are a sort of resemblances between the novels and the theory: the mimetic desire, the founding violence e the choosing of the scapegoat are all themes and subjects that belong both to Saramago¿s literature and Girard¿s thought. Finally, the work also wants to understand the trajectory of doctor¿s wife from the first novel, where she shows herself as some sort of unselfish heroine, to the second novel, when she becomes a victim of the political system ¿ therefore, the scapegoat ¿ until her execution. The goal is to reveal what is behind the construction of the character in order to be able to comprehend the critics that Saramago draws to the democratic system in his literary works / Mestrado / Teoria e Critica Literaria / Mestra em Teoria e História Literária

Wilhelm von Bode a medzinárodný trh s umením: nepublikovaná korešpondencia s Rudolphom Kannom a Josephom Duveenom / Wilhelm von Bode and the International Art Market: the Unpublished Correspondence with Rudolphe Kann and Joseph Duveen

Watrelot, Michaela January 2021 (has links)
Wilhelm von Bode and the International Art Market: the Unpublished Correspondence with Rudolphe Kann and Joseph Duveen This dissertation explores changing trends in the European and American art market in the late 19th and beginning of the 20th Centuries, in particular their influences, presented from the perspective of Wilhelm von Bode, renowned connoisseur and, at the time, director general of the Berlin Museums and explored predominantly through his relationship with the private collector Rudolphe Kann and art dealer Joseph Duveen. At the time, the collection of Rudolphe Kann was considered to be one of the most refined among the European private collections, yet it hasn't received much attention by contemporary scholars. This dissertation therefore offers the most systematic review of Kann's collection since 1907, the year when Bode compiled the revised catalogue. Wilhelm Bode was actively involved in building the Kann collection, as shown by the extensive numbers of private, previously unpublished, correspondence, which provided the foundation of this research. After the dealer Joseph Duveen bought the entire art collection of this prominent Parisian collector in the summer 1907 and subsequently sold almost all of the artworks to American collectors, the competitiveness of European private...

Godoy, Edevilson de 04 December 2009 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-29T14:27:29Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Edevilson de Godoy.pdf: 2017172 bytes, checksum: 96fe04fb1ddbe914385d650c9d368340 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-12-04 / This study examines the sacrifice of Christ as a conquest of ancient sacrifice, from the paradigm of victimizing mechanism explained by Franco-American anthropologist René Girard. The thesis affront the theme of sacrifice in perspective Girard, highlighting the evolution of his thought: from the mimetic process that culminates in the classic concept of the scapegoat as exorcism of community violence, it reaches a more dialectic, in which maintaining the archaic theory, highlights the Christian message of sacrifice as gift of self for the life of another. The research fits into the context of studies on the role of religion in human relations, that is, the phenomenon of religion in community relations, to, from Girard, focusing on the "sacrifice of Christ as the greatest expression of love of history able to redeem sinful man. The study has a humble ambition to show the extraordinary contribution of theory Girard theology. It presents an overall discussion of the thought of Girard. Keep is the dogmatic biblical field, including the possibility of the compatibility between Catholic theology and thought Girard at a specific point and absolutely qualifying: the word sacrifice can be perfectly applied to the event of Christ's passion / Este estudo analisa o sacrifício de Cristo como superação do sacrifício antigo, a partir do paradigma do mecanismo vitimário explicado pelo antropólogo francoamericano René Girard.
