ESTUDO SOBRE A SAÚDE DE CRIANÇAS USUÁRIAS DE UM SERVIÇO DE SAÚDE MENTAL INFANTIL: A HISTÓRIA DE CHAPEUZINHO AMARELO

Lena, Marisangela Spolaôr 14 March 2012 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Little Yellow Riding Hood, character in the book of the same name by Chico Buarque, tells the story of the girl who, from their physical and psychological apparatuses, managed to turn the "LO-BO" (wolf in portuguese), of whom she had much fear, in BO-LO (cake in portuguese). In this direction, it is thought that, by knowing the health of children and these 'apparatuses', one can think of better interventions for their welfare. The health of the child, both physical and mental, has been a topic of significant importance in worldwide research, as it is known that a healthy child is more likely to become a healthy adult. This work is linked to a larger project, which aims to apply an intervention in terms of a therapeutic environment in a children s CAPS (Psychosocial Care Center) of Santa Maria-RS (PROCONVIVE, announcement PPSUS/FAPERGS 002/2009 n° of process 0900982). Meanwhile, it was detected the need for an evaluation of data about the children's health, since this may not be always provided to them by the service. This assessment was aimed at knowing the health situation of the children through general health data, evaluation of stress - physical, psychological, psychological with depressive components and psycho-physiological, beyond the data on their emotional functioning. For this, we used a general data questionnaire, the Child Stress Scale (ESI) and the Test of Fables. The evaluation was made in 31 children attending the service, with ages between 4 and 12 years. This study was characterized a descriptive and correlational. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The calculations were performed using SPSS 13.0. The sample comprised 32.2% of girls (N = 10) and 66.7% of boys (N = 21), with a mean age of 9.39 years. Among the findings, stands out the fact that 80.6% of the children are using at least one medication, being, in its majority, psychiatric medication. Moreover, it is emphasized the fact that 63.2% of the children showed symptoms of stress, and most of them were in alert phase. Of these, 73.7% presented psychological stress with depressive component. Noteworthy is also the fact that 41.6% of the boys exhibit stress, while this data for girls is 85.8%. In regard to emotional functioning, the children showed, in most cases, less primitive defenses and the content of fables used, proved to be adapted. It stands out, in this way, the importance of evaluations of differential diagnosis and assessment of protective factors in considering health promotion and prevention for these children.

Zhodnocení současné situace dětí a mládeže romského původu v dětských domovech z hlediska lokality. / Evaluation of the Current Situation of Children and Young People of Romany Origin in Children{\crq}s Homes with regard to the Location.

KOUSALOVÁ, Hana January 2009 (has links)
The degree work titled ``Evaluation of the Current Situation of Children and Young People of Romany Origin in Children{\crq}s Homes with regard to the Location`` required processing of theoretical knowledge regarding the issue of children{\crq}s homes and children{\crq}s homes with a school specialized in the Romany ethnic group, and carrying out qualitative research. The theoretical portion is based on specialized literature and other sources of information. The first chapter focuses on the characteristics of childhood and adolescence and also includes some thoughts about mental deprivation. The second chapter comprises information about the Romany minority, namely Romany families, identity issues and the related concept of romipen (the Romanism). It also describes specific features of children of Romany origin and education issues of Romany people. The last section of the second chapter mentions the topical problem of social exclusion of Romany people and the current possibilities of social inclusion of this minority. The third chapter focuses on the system of institutional care in the Czech Republic, specifically children{\crq}s homes and children{\crq}s homes with schools. The fourth chapter describes behaviour disorders. The last, fifth, chapter focuses on the issue of further care for children and young people who leave schools and institutional care facilities. The objective of the work was to capture and describe the reasons why Romany children and young people are placed in children{\crq}s homes and children{\crq}s homes with schools in selected regions (Cheb and České Budějovice) and to map the thoughts and ideas of Romany children and youngsters living in such facilities regarding their current situation and their future life after leaving the institution where they are now. The practical section contains interpretation of data from the qualitative research performed in the target group by means of interviewing (the technique of semi-structured interview) and observing; as regards the supplementary target group the method of questioning (the technique of a questionnaire) was applied. A total of 20 people participated in the research out of whom the basic target group comprised 10 Romany children living in the Children{\crq}s home in Aš and in the Children{\crq}s home with a school in Šindlovy Dvory; the supplementary group comprised 10 people from the staff of the identified facilities. The research showed that the number of children in the children{\crq}s home and the children{\crq}s home with a school does not correspond with the total number of Romany people living in the region, but with its social and economic situation. The prevailing reasons for placing Romany children in such facilities include problems at school, problems in the family and behaviour problems (stealing, drug addiction). The Romany children living in such facilities think that after they leave they will join their families and start working, some of them want to study first. 70% of the interviewed children said that they have an idea how to look for a job. However, the children{\crq}s ideas do not correspond with opinions of the staff who consider the return of these children to their original family environment and unemployment to be the greatest obstacles for independent life of Romany children after their departure from children{\crq}s homes or children{\crq}s homes with a school.

Nem só bem-feitas, nem tão melodramáticas: \'The Children\'s Hour\' e \'The Little Foxes\', de Lillian Hellman / Neither only well-made nor so melodramatic: \'The Children\' s Hour\' and \'The Little Foxes\' by Lillian Hellman

Fúlvio Torres Flores 25 March 2008 (has links)
This work aims to analyze Lillian Hellman\'s plays The Children´s Hour and The Little Foxes, which were first performed in the United States in 1934 and 1939 respectively. In addition to the content of these works, the analysis discusses the well-made play and the melodrama in order to identify how social criticism and these theater forms are interrelated, as proposed by her. Based on authors such as Peter Szondi, whose work is fundamental to understanding the dialectics between form and content, and Jean-Marie Thomasseau, a melodrama theorist, as well as others who wrote about the well-made play, this dissertation searches for a comprehension of how the playwright made use of the dominant culture\'s own forms to investigate North-American capitalist society. For a comprehensive understanding of such issues, the dramaturgical texts, performances, as well as film and television adaptations in both the United States and Brazil have been analyzed. Hellman was constantly criticized for the formal choices of her plays, something revealed in articles and essays by relevant critics. These criticisms are presented in this dissertation in order to supplement the analysis. Lillian Hellman criticized the dominant class\' arbitrary conservatism and the strategies of capitalist maintenance by employing theater forms which were endowed by that class.

The aim of this work is to study the only two Brazilian versions of the book Le petit Nicolas, written by Sempé and Goscinny (1960). The main purpose is to define the scope of these translations and the target audience characteristics of each of those versions by analysing their translation-briefs. As theoretical assumptions that guide this research, stand out the Translation Functionalist Approach, in the view of Christiane Nord (1997, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008), some studies dedicated to children and youth literature (Coelho, 1980, 1991, 1993; HUNT, 2010) and its translation (AZENHA JUNIOR, 1991, 1996, 2005, 2005, 2008, 2012).This work also focuses on theoretical discourse of the study of translation historiography. The data analysis was based on three corpora: the first corpus consists on the original book Le petit Nicolas, published by Denoël, whose edition consulted is from 1999; the second is the translation of Marcelo Corção, 1975, published by Artenova. The third was the translation of Martins Fontes Publisher, 1997, signed by Luis Lorenzo Rivera. Both translations are named O pequeno Nicolau. Data analysis highlights the different conceptions of translation work between the two publishers. While Artenova seeks a final result that eliminates the foreign presence in the text, Martins Fontes protects sources, invests and insists on the presence of the foreign culture.

Moegreen, Linn, Langsbo, Hanna January 2020 (has links)

Barn som upplever våld i nära relationer : En litteraturöversikt med fokus på konsekvenser / Children who experience violence in a close relationship : A literature review with a focus on consequences

Delin, Jennie, Ohlsson, Jessica January 2021 (has links)
Artiklarna kvalitetsgranskades, analyserades ochsammanställdes i kategorier. / Background: Even though children have a safety net in the form of laws and regulations, every tenth child in Sweden has at some point experienced intimate partner violence. Förutsättningar för barnets delaktighet i barnavårdsutredningar : En litteraturstudie

Lennholm, Emma January 2023 (has links)
In 2020, the Convention on the Rights of the Child became law in Sweden, and Sweden had already strived for years to follow the guidelines provided by the Convention of the Rights of the Child. Despite the ambitions formulated above, follow-ups show that children are generally not made sufficiently involved in the social services´ decision-making processes. Studies regarding how children with disabilities are included in the social services´ investigations show that social workers often lack the competence to speak with these children at their level and meet the children too rarely. Based on this, a problem area can be identified regarding how children should be made more involved in child welfare investigations and the conditions and working methods needed to make those possible.  The purpose of this study has been to increase knowledge about the conditions and working methods that can enable the child´s increased participation in connection with the social service´s decision-making processes. The questions are what different conditions and working methods are required for social workers within child welfare investigations to be able to create opportunities for the child´s participation in de decision-making process and witch favourable and hindering factors affect the child´s participation. The study is based om a review of 14 scientific articles generated by searches in PsycInfo, the University Library’s database and secondary searches. These were analysed using a meta-analytic approach.  Results: There are several different factors at the individual, organizational and structural level that can have a beneficial or inhibiting effect on the child´s participation. At the individual level, factors such as the professional´s attitude to participation, the social worker´s role and personal characteristics, knowledge of different conversation techniques and the child´s presence at meetings can be identified. At organizational level, prerequisites for preparation and refection, as well as an adapted environment and available material, can be identified. At the structural level, it can be identified that major changes regarding the content of the social secretary´s training as well as changes in the law regarding children´s representatives could have a beneficial effect.  The conclusion is that in order to strengthen favourable factors and reduce hindering factors regarding children´s participation in childcare investigations, dialogue and collaboration within the working group is required. There is an importance in jointly defining the concept of participation and clarifying the objective in order to then use each other´s knowledge and experience through collegial learning to create good opportunities for conversations with the children the social workers meet.

From child murderer to beloved empress : Analysis of Wu Zetian in media aimed at children

Brohlén, Hannah January 2023 (has links)
This thesis investigates and analyzes how Wu Zetian is portrayed in media directed at children. This thesis also plan to investigate how the portrayal of Wu Zetian in children´s media relates to academic literature. The main questions this thesis answered were the following: How is Wu Zetian portrayed in the source material? What qualities are attributed to Wu Zetian? Does the presentation of Wu Zetian in children´s media differ from the academic literature written by historians? If so, how?    The theories that this thesis was based on were the concepts that Bickford III and Rich presented in their study Examining the Representation of Slavery within Children´s Literature. These concepts were presentism, omission, chronological ethnocentrism, exceptionalism, heroification, and villainification. The second theory was gender theory. This theory was used as a theoretical interpretive framework for this thesis. The methods used were text analysis, close reading, and the theoretical concepts formulated by Bickford III and Rich.   The study concluded that Wu Zetian was mainly described in a glorifying light. The main attributes of Wu Zetian are positive, such as intelligence and beauty. The negative qualities attributed to Wu Zetian are that she was brutal. In general, Wu Zetian is presented and described in a positive and heroic light in children´s media. The difference in the presentation of Wu Zetian in children´s media and academic literature is minimal. In general, the children´s media downplays the brutal aspects of Wu´s life, while the academic literature talks about this aspect somewhat more. The main difference is that, children´s media is more glorifying and heroizing than academic literature.
