Effektivität ärztlicher Kooperationsbeziehungen - Aus den Augen, aus dem Sinn ... ?
The medical progress led to an ongoing specialization and differentiation of medical specialities. As a result the physician depends on co-operation with colleagues. But the patient often doesn't return to the general practitioner after consultation of the consultant or the results are not reported back. The task of the study was to reveal deficits of physicians' co-operation and to examine the effectiveness of physicians' relationships. Aims were description of type and extent of consultants treatment, completeness of referrals and analysis of determinants for the feedback behaviour. Written reports and entries in the electronic patient-file about treatments of other physicians as the general practitioner were examined in a general practice during one year. In addition the data of a database, which contains all consultations in the last three years, were available for the analysis. More than half of the referrals didn't have a feedback. On the other hand two third of the feedback information don't base on a general practitioner's referral. One fifth of the information, which reaches the general practitioner, were information by patients during the anamnesis. The frequency of general practitioners consultations had highest influence on the referral process. Patients with frequent consultations had more often referrals, feedback information and a higher proportion of complete referral processes.

This work aims at analysing co-operative and hierarchical forms of institutional change in the case of Bt-maize cultivation in Germany. Genetically modified Bt-maize expresses a toxin which is lethal for the larvae of a main pest in maize production, the European Corn Borer. From 2005 to 2008, the cultivation of this transgenic crop was legally possible in Germany and adoption took mainly place in the former eastern German federal states. In four empirical chapters, the aspects of 1) risk perception and institutional preferences, 2) hierarchical or co-operative provision of the good “GMO-free atmosphere”, 3) regional adoption patterns of Bt-maize and 4) the adoption as a bargaining game will be analysed. It becomes apparent that actors with a strong risk perception prefer stricter institutions when dealing with the cultivation of GM crops and also favour hierarchical governance forms instead of co-operative solutions. The adoption of Bt-maize at the federal state level in Germany is significantly influenced by the factor maize area per farm. When conceptualizing Bt-maize adoption as a game under a strict regulatory framework and different agricultural and social structures, several measures can be identified which are employed by the actors to improve one’s own bargaining position, such as private agreements on the reduction of isolation distances or impair the one of the opposite player through public pressure or field destructions.

The role of the Organisation of African Unity as an international governmental organisation in regional co-operation and stability: 1963-2000Schalk, Baba 30 November 2004 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to analyse the role of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) as an international governmental organisation in regional co-operation and stability from 1963 until 2000. It is also aims to evaluate the OAU's success or failure as the initiator of African unity and the driver of regional co-operation and stability in Africa within political, economic and social spheres. As background, the motivation for the study is discussed and the problem is stated. From this, research questions are formulated, and objectives identified. Three hypotheses are formed, which the study aimed to prove.
The range of core theoretical foundations, concepts, characteristics, theories, approaches and classifications are examined in detail as foundations for an understanding and evaluation of the role of the OAU. Regional organisations as a phenomenon are also studied in-depth with reference to their nature, meaning and historical origins. Inter-state relations in the international community are theoretically explored, as well as the position and potential of regionalism within international public administration. Concepts, characteristics, types and functions of regional organisations and the role of co-operation, sovereignty and supra-nationalism in regional co-operation are covered.
Following this, a study is made of the historical origins, nature and character of Pan-Africanism and the evolution of the OAU. Based on the structural-functional approach, the nature and essential characteristics of the organisation are analysed, with reference to its structures, and the tasks of the Secretary-General and its various commissions. In addition, the former relationship between the OAU and the UN is also highlighted.
The role of the OAU is evaluated as a regional organisation involved in the establishment of regional co-operation in Africa in the political, economic, cultural and social spheres. The study concludes with an evaluative synthesis of its findings, proposals and conclusions.
The OAU is found to have been successful in certain regards, but in others, it failed to attain its primary purpose: to forge unity on the continent and to create co-operation among states. Its successor, the African Union could learn some valuable lessons from the OAU's history. / Public Administration / (D.P.A.)

Prospects for political integration in Southern AfricaSpies, Yolanda Kemp 06 1900 (has links)
This thesis examines regional integration in Southern Africa and the evolution
of SADC. Regional developments are evaluated with the yardsticks of
integration theory, against the background of international regionalisation, and
in terms of the region's practical record, its rhetoric and future agenda. The
extent to which economic integration is progressing, is determined, after
which the thesis focuses on political integration within SADC - both de Jure
and de facto. Finally, developments within the region are evaluated in light of
normative prerequisites for increased political integration. The thesis finds
that the integration process in SADC does not fit into traditional integration
theory, and concludes that successful economic integration in the region is not
necessarily a prerequisite to political integration, but would facilitate it. The
research finally concludes that there is evidence of embryonic political
integration within SADC, which will wane or grow depending primarily on
the political will of its constituents / Political Science / M.A. (Politics)

Formy spolupráce rodiny a školy na počátku školní docházky / Forms of family and school colaboration in primary schoolJelínková, Hana January 2013 (has links)
The thesis deals with the process of building up partnership between family, school and the class teacher at the very beginning of school attendance and the possible forms it can take. The theoretical part describes both, the family and school, as an educational institution, defines these concepts from the legislative and pedagogoical point of view. It proceeds further with showing the historical development and its logical continuation in contemporary tendencies to build up the relationship between family and school, which can happen in two ways; the first possibility is to view the position of the teacher as the dominant person in the process, another possibility is democratic, humanistic, child-oriented. The latter attitude is presented as "Step by step" (literally "Staring together"in the Czech usage). The empirical part brings up the author's actual research work, suggesting strategies and possibilities of partnership between parents and school, in the alternative offer of activites devised to involve the family into the educational process. The parents can choose according to their actual possibilities. This offer is reflected on the basis of the standards of the document "Competent Educators of the 21st Century" Principles of Quality Pedagogy. Furtheron, validity of the assertion "If the...

The educational and economic crisis generates a need to re-examine the education purposes and to reform the thought. “The seven knowledge necessary to educate the future”, (Morin E., 1999), aims at a democratic and scientific humanism. We constituted an international collaborative research on teacher training, supported by this philosophical and epistemological framework, within the the Modern School movement. An intercultural co-operative confrontation started, initially, by a participating observation in 5 European countries, in order to work macro and meso dimensions of their educational systems, and to develop an international network which officially came out during a physical meeting of teachers and trainers from various European countries, in 2009. It revealed blind points, on meso and micro levels, and generated a co-operative self-directed training, in a second step, thanks to the emergence of new professional socioconstructivist didactics, within the framework of teachers training, in February 2010, in Valencia, and trainers training, in July 2010, in Nantes, with a heterogeneous public of 3 continents. Based on the articulation between “experimental probing” and co-operation, they connect education, training and research. They develop ability to work in team, creativity and reflexivity. This thesis shows that cultural diversity can generate empowerment and international collective intelligence, transformative learning, developing a transferable “ingenium” in various contexts.

Energy, Environment and Transportation : An Actor-Role Network Analysis of the World Energy Outlook 1977-2016Söderqvist, Felicia January 2019 (has links)
This thesis explores how energy and environmental issues have been presented in the transportation sector over time in World Energy Outlook (WEO) publications; the flagship publication of the International Energy Agency (IEA). The thesis covers WEO publications from the first publication of 1977 up to 2016 (with the exception of WEO 1982). The data was extracted through the aid of interpretive content analysis, focusing on the transport sector. Energy and Environmental issues within the context of transportation were then discussed as to their roles and forms of action they were ascribed throughout the publications. Actor-network theory was used as a theoretical framework to map and showcase how these roles and actions conditioned and connected to each other. The results of the study show that energy has had a tendency to be divided into the camps of fuels that are either solutions or problems. The exceptions are biofuels, which stand out as fuels that are both solutions and problematic. The environmental issues are solved and caused through energy use, and in 1977,environmental consideration were presented as obstacles to energy security. In 1993 global warming and emissions have changed into being major policy concern. Pollution, congestion, dust, noise, and related health issues are added to the fray as time proceeds, and so are more forms of energy for solutions. Goals and interests showcased in the publications are shown to conflict with others, while energy efficiency as a solution has emerged as a solution to both global warming and energy security. The transport sector starts of as framed more asan area or space where environmental issues take place and solutions are implemented, however, increasing motorisation of the sector and traffic and its role as amajor emitter are later added as active aspects of the conditioning of thesector and in offsetting the solutions. Regional cases are used to exemplify the issues and solutions, with a major focus on OECD contexts, and technological renewal emerges early on as a mayor pathway in solving the environmental issues, through the support of consumers. However, the major issues still remain the same as in 1993.

La construction pompidolienne de l'Europe face au défi de la problématique allemande (1969-1974) / The pompidolian construction of Europe facing the challenge of the German problematic (1969-1974)Pierre, Joële 05 October 2018 (has links)
While France is only a middle power in relative decline, the FRG is in a phase of economic take off and begins an international influence. Upon his nomination, Brandt launches the emancipation of Germany. Could Ostpolitik have priority for the federal government over European Community policy? The Soviet threat to Germany is to be taken very seriously for Pompidou. Reunification; Neutralization. Faced with this plurially worrying situation, Pompidou needs Europe; but in 1969, the construction of Europe is deadlocked. 1971, Pompidou launches its construction model of the European Union: 'European Gaullism'. His asset, Edward Heath, a 'sincere European'. "We work jointly, even with Germany," says the President. The Elysée Treaty: major essentiality in the learning of the other; clutch of the Franco-German engine; normalization of Franco-German relations. Its challenges: European Monetary Pole; Common foreign policy cooperation (Middle East); Ambitious program of the Paris Conference; European identity ; Franco-German Common Foreign Policy against Moscow. But could an autonomous European policy exist for Washington? Nixon and Kissinger maneuvered to impose Atlantic partnership on Europeans. Dollar crises (1971, 1973); US-Soviet Condominium; Conference on Energy. Bonn strives in vain to work as a mediator between Paris and Washington.
