Brobakken, Jonas, Martinson, Dag January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of the thesis was to gain a greater understanding of what motivates women to take up a position as a squad commander, soldier, or sailor (GSS) in the Swedish Armed Forces. The study provides a piece of the puzzle on what motivates women to take up employment, which is important as the Armed Forces is facing personnel growth while the agency today does not reach the stated goals in the mentioned personnel category.  In the study, we can see that women take a job as they are primarily looking for a profession that can give them opportunities for self-realization, a connection with a sense of belonging and community. These driving forces have been explained and reported with the help of motivation theories. The characteristic of the study is that women's motivation to take up employment as GSS has not been studied before. As no clear differences between theories and the empirical data of the study have been demonstrated, we see that there are other factors that must be affected if more women are to take a job as GSS.  The Armed Forces, and perhaps also society at large, must highlight the role of the Armed Forces and clarify the possibilities serving within the authority as GSS. Influencing an individual's willingness to take up employment is difficult but disseminating enlightening information about positions to the target group of young women is an important factor that can increase the influx of women into GSS positions. At the same time, we see in the study that it would be beneficial to examine the target group's knowledge regarding professions in the Swedish Armed Forces and then GSS in particular.  Recommendations to the Armed Forces are to study why developed goals are not achieved but even more importantly, review and edit the goals based on the target group's interest to achievable levels, focusing on the conditions of the population. Information activities within the framework of the basic training must continue to be carried out in a coordinated manner. The study shows that these information efforts have a good effect and should be developed as the Swedish Armed Forces is facing a growth where the entire population has a significant role as a recruitment basis to realize this.

Upplevelser av beslutsfattande under påfrestande förhållanden : En kvalitativ studie på sjukvårdsledare inom den prehospitala särskilda sjukvårdsledningen / Experience of decision-making under demanding conditions : A qualitative study on medical incident commanders within the special major incident medical management- and support team

Lopez, Ignacio January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to study medical incident commanders experiences of decision-making under demanding conditions within the special major incident medical management- and support team. The research questions consisted of which aspects medical incident commanders experienced as unfavorable and favorable for decision-making under demanding conditions. A total of 13 medical incident commanders were interviewed semi-structured with the support of the Critial Decision Method. The interview material has been data processed through a thematic analysis. This resulted in two main themes with seven subthemes that describe unfavorable and favorable aspects of medical incident commanders decision-making under demanding conditions. The main conclusion of this study is that experience is beneficial for decision making under demanding conditions. The other unfavorable and favorable aspects stand in contrast to each other.

Feliciter ! / Feliciter ! From Merovingian to Eastern Kingdoms : research on elites and ways of expressing power during Middle Ages

Nielen, Marie-Adélaïde 14 January 2019 (has links)
This thesis presents the results of research conducted over the past thirty years on the history of medieval elites.  The thesis focuses on two major topics. The first is the society of the Latin East. Publication of a genealogical text, Les lignages d’Outremer, has been followed by a series of studies of the noble families of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem and an edition of an account of a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The second area is royal sigillography. Studies of the seals of medieval French queens and their children constitute one facet of this research, whereas examination of the seals found on 250 diplomas in the Archives nationales has facilitated exploration of the seals of Merovingian and Carolingian kings and emperors. The discovery of human hair in the seals has prompted the search for possible explanations of this phenomenon, which are proposed and discussed in different parts of the dossier, particularly in an appendix, "De anolo." An additional, supplementary part of my work has focused on the conservation of seals and the development of methods to prevent their deterioration.

La participation a l'infraction internationale. / The participation in the international crime

Duffourc, Marie 12 December 2013 (has links)
Can it be extranational, transnational or international by nature, the international crime is always the same : it needs the reunion of a material element and a moral element, sometimes including a contextual element. This structural constancy, which dominates the definitional diversity, inclines us to campaign for the unification of the participation forms associated to the whole international crimes. In other words, the specifity of the participation in the international crime would be less due to the specifity of the first one’s forms than to the specifity of the second one’s definition. Now, there are only two grand systems of participation in the international crime : the one applied by the national criminal jurisdictions and the one applied by the international criminal jurisdictions. From the comparison of these two systems, it is possible to imagine a unique system of participation in the international crime, permitting a better understanding of the collective criminality by attributing a righter role to the intellectual participants within the participation. More precisely, and after a few necessary adaptations, control over the international crime, which is a mixed criterion recently developed by the International Criminal Court, could be used to distinguish the main forms from the secondary forms of participation in the international crime. Thus, main participants might be those who, with the suitable state of mind, take control over the international crime (co-perpetrators and intellectual perpetrators) while secondary participants might be those who don’t take such a control (accomplices by aid and assistance and “subordinators”).
