Jämställdhet ses som något eftersträvansvärt i Sverige idag. Hur jämställdhet kan uppnås anses handla om att kvinnor och män, inom en heterosexuell relation, byter sysslor med varandra. En av de sysslorna är att vara föräldraledig. Denna uppsats gör en queerteoretisk analys av faderskap. Empirin utgörs av intervjuer med, och observationer av, fem medelklasspappor i Stockholm. Uppsatsen undersöker hur informanterna tar sig an ett kvinnligt kodat område samtidigt som de förhåller sig till maskulina genuskonstruktioner och praktiker. Resultatet visar att pappaledighet är normerande inom jämställdhetsdiskursen. Jämställdhetsdiskursen är även medelklassbetingad. Informanterna förhåller sig till en maskulinitet som består av traditionellt maskulina värdeord som aktiv, tydlig och trygg, liksom av feminint betingade ord som närvarande och omhändertagande. Informanterna stärker sedermera denna maskulinitet i homosociala sammanhang. Genuskonstruktionerna störs utanför jämställdhetsdiskursen när mannen är föräldraledig medan barnet fortfarande kan ammas. En ammande man skulle även bryta mot genuskonstruktionerna inom en jämställdhetsdiskurs.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka och analysera hur fritidsledare genom tal och praktik ger mening åt “meningsfull fritid” och hur “meningsfull fritid” blir betydelsefullt. Studiens material bygger på 6 intervjuer med fritidsledare och 3 observationer på fritidsgård. Materialet analyseras med hjälp av poststrukturalistisk teori och politisk diskursteori. Resultatet visar att fritidsledarnas skapande av meningsfull fritid påverkas av fyra olika diskurser. Diskurserna påverkar värdena som läggs i meningsfull fritid och dessa påverkar fritidsledarnas utövande av ledarskap, vilket leder till drivkrafterna som skapar meningsfull fritid. Slutdiskussion menar att vikten av ungdomsperspektiv i meningsfull fritid behövs för demokratin och ungdomars deltagande i välfärden som samhällsmedborgare.

The purpose of the study is to investigate how people, in a situation of ongoing environmental and climate change, problematize Swedish forestry. Based on the discourses and logics that are expressed, the focus is on how the resistance is made through notions of the Swedish forest, social categories, nature and man's place in nature. The analysis shows how scientific knowledge and cultural knowledge from the participants' imaginary worlds interact in the crisis discourse the group creates about the Swedish forest. In the social reality of the crisis discourse, it becomes central to make other people "wake up" and see how forestry and the majority's way of life threatens not only the forest but all life on earth. The discussions can be described as a negotiation over what is "natural" as well as what and who is imagined to be part of "nature". Paradoxically, man is articulated both as part of ecological systems and as an "unnatural" intruder in nature: like a pest.

In this thesis, I explore how eight homosexual men who are pensioners orient and perceive their retirement in relation to their life stories. I have conducted six individual interviews and one pair interview with two informants using life course interview as method. How they perceive their lives as pensioners and life before retirement becomes visible through life course interviews. With queer phenomenology as theory, I analyse how the informants can move through time and space in their life stories. In addition to how normative lifelines effect what choices can be made for a non-normative individual and how they need to relate to heterosexual norms. Throughout the thesis, age and generation effect how the informants talk about their lives, no matter if it is “now” or in the past. Time and space are made visible through norms regarding family, marriage, and children, as well as through collective holding points such as memories, places, or events. In conclusion, the eight men have had to deal with both hetero and homo normative lifelines throughout their working life and retirement. What these lifelines have included has shifted over time, but, for most of them, in relation to sexuality and age.

I den här uppsatsen synliggörs effekterna av ett varumärkesbyte på en pappersfabrik. Fältet beträds med en autoetnografisk approach, då jag själv har behörighet till platsen som arbetare. Jag undersöker vilken effekt varumärkesbytet har på identiteten hos medarbetarna och hur de bemöter förändringen på arbetsplatsen ett år efter namnbytet på fabriken trätt i kraft. Genom ett fenomenologiskt perspektiv presenteras både fabrikens och arbetarnas berättelse och jag berör både minnet och ritualens sfär i mötet mer mitt fält. Med Korsnäs som forna fabriksnamn och nyckelsymbol möter jag Korsnäsaren som levd erfarenhet och som identitetsbegrepp samt Korsnäsandan som gemenskap och minnesrum. Hur alla dessa erfarenheter skapar arbetsplatsen som livsvärld och slutsatsen blir dess effekt på människan namnbytet berör.

North of the city of Stockholm lies the area called Södra Roslagen composed of several municipalities. The purpose of this essay is to discover how local informants describe the food culture of the region and analyse why some types of food are mentioned and others are excluded. Several people within the food industry of Södra Roslagen were given surveys asking them to describe the food habits of the area, from commodities and certain dishes to traditions. These answers were analysed using the theories regional food, regiocentrism, revitalisation, placeless food and the idea of viewing culture through the long and the short perspective. One informant mentioned that professionals in the food industry of the region tend to follow trends from the rest of the world and another that many producers work with ecological requirements. Södra Roslagen was also defined by some as having a taste of summer as this coastal area sees an influx of visitors during that season. Mostly though, the informants struggled with defining the food of the area with a few identifying it as anonymous. This might be due to no marketing attempts having been made to give foods of the area a regional profile or add a symbolic value. It might also be because these municipalities are composed of many families originally from various places of the world. Therefore this cultural melting pot has a rich mixture of global food instead of things the locals would specifically associate with the region. Instead of using a short term perspective and mentioning this foreign food as part of the contemporary culture of Södra Roslagen the informants use the longer perspective where traditions need to have existed in a place for many years for them to be considered as part of the regional culture and contemporary culture is ignored.
