Participace hráček na týmovém herním výkonu v utkáních ŽBL / Participation of the players on the team game performance in ZBL matches

Novotný, Petr January 2014 (has links)
Title: Participation of the players on the team game performance in ZBL matches Objectives: My work deals with the proportion of female players on the team's performance in the game of basketball teams in the women's top basketball competition - ZBL. My main aim is to explore these trends from the season 1998/1999 to 2012/2013. The file of observed extraleague players was divided into three categories (Czech players under 20 years, foreigners, Czech players over 20 years). At the same time I determined the monitored characteristics (number of players, numbers of minutes played, numbers of points scored, coefficients of validity) that are signifiant for the research. This work follows my Bachelor thesis ( 2012). Methods: The study is based on the secondary analysis of statistical data of different teams that participated in the seasons from 1998/1999 to 2012/2013 in the Women's Basketball League (ZBL). For further processing I used basic statistical and comparative methods, whereby the situation in the Czech women's basketball is being mapped out. The data from the Women's Basketball League can be found on the website of Czech Basketball Federation, where they are available. Results: The given results have confirmed all three set hypotheses - an increase in players from abroad and their significant...

Rezidenční mobilita obyvatel Prahy se zaměřením na etnické menšiny / Residential Mobility of Prague Population with Focus on Ethnic Minorities

Přidalová, Ivana January 2013 (has links)
Since 1989, Czechia has undergone many changes. Increasingly important part of Czech society is represented by foreign inhabitants, who - most often - move to Prague. The capital city is target of economic migrants but also of those foreigners who seek a new home. The aim of the diploma thesis is to get to know spatial patterns of migration of population in Prague between 1992 and 2011 and to explain geographical causes of migration. The first part of the thesis discusses theoretical approaches dealing with mobility, especially with migration and residential mobility. Next chapter introduces development of migration of population in Prague and summarizes basic findings about the most numerous groups of foreigners living in the capital city. Based on data from registers of migration, general trends in population migration are identified, then, migration activity of Prague inhabitants by citizenship is analyzed. Case study of urbanistic district Nové Butovice-západ in the final part of the thesis verifies, by triangulation of research methods, the reliability of statistical data on numbers and movement of foreigners in Prague and analyzes the influence of immigration of Russian citizens on changing social environment of the studied locality.

Holinková, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis is the comparison of approaches to integration of foreigners at the local level in Prague and Barcelona. The author also wants to find out if the policies applied in Barcelona are transferable to the Czech environment. The thesis is based on selected concepts focused on the integration of foreigners into the host society (classical typology of national integration models or integration models based on psychological aspects by Berry) and its components included on the definition of migration and integration policy (Baršová, Barša 2005; Penninx 2016; Bosswick, Heckman 2006 and others). Due to the nature of the work, a qualitative method of research was selected, consisting on the analysis of secondary sources (expert studies, annual reports, governmental and municipal policies, statistical sources). In addition, semi-structured interviews were held with representatives of local governments in Prague and Barcelona. Local integration policies are created in a specific context of the state. The work is also an outline of the migratory history of the Czech Republic and Spain, the institutional provision of migration and integration policies at individual administrative levels (national, regional, local) and their development. It has been found that the city of Barcelona has a strong...

Xenophobia and the media: an investigation into the textual representation of black ‘foreigners’ in the daily sun, a South Africa tabloid (February 2008 - December 2008)

Mbetga, Marius Debonaire January 2014 (has links)
Magister Artium - MA / This mini-thesis is a discourse analysis of the representations of black ‘foreigners’ in the media with reference to xenophobia. In this specific context, the study investigates and analyses the textual representations of black ‘foreigners’ in the Daily Sun, a South African tabloid newspaper during the period February 2008 till December 2008. For the theoretical and systematic framework, the study essentially combined critical discourse analysis (Van Dijk, 1993, Wodak, 2012) and the notion moral panics to explain the language used and subsequent impact of the media in shaping xenophobic attitudes (Goode and Ben-Yehuda, 1994). This investigation into the representations of black foreigners examines the media coverage of black African immigrant stories that appeared in the Daily Sun in the designated time period. A total of one hundred and twenty-four (124) news articles were selected from the files reserved at the South African National Archives in Cape Town. These data are extracts of news articles from the Daily Sun newspaper collected during the progress of the study. The main focus of this investigation is on how the Daily Sun portrayed and depicted black foreigners and the violence perpetuated again them. This study found that, on the one hand the Daily Sun, portrayed black foreigners as victims and on the other hand as aggressors or abusers of the social and legal system in South Africa. This ambiguity reflects the relationship between black foreigners and black local citizens. Black foreigners themselves are a diverse group and the Daily Sun depicts these nationalities in different, often stereotypical ways. This study contributes to our understanding of black African immigration to South Africa as well as the responses of local citizens to this process. By focusing on how representations of African immigrants are constructed in this specific South African tabloid newspaper, we are given insight into the xenophobic attitudes of many ordinary South Africans.

A experiência do estranho no romance Die Aufzeichnungen des Malte Laurids Brigge, de Rainer Maria Rilke / The Foreigners/Stranger´s Experience in Rainer Maria Rilke\'s Die Aufzeichnungen des Malte Laurids Brigge

Martins, Renata de Freitas 10 October 2011 (has links)
Inscribed within Interdisciplinary Germanic Studies in Brazil, the objective of this thesis, The Foreigners/Stranger´s Experience in Rainer Maria Rilkes Die Aufzeichnungen des Malte Laurids Brigge, is to analyze the concept of the foreigner/stranger in said text, considered to be the German languages first 20th Century modern novel. The diverse fictional elements comprising each one of the seventy one fragments of the work grant the central character/narrator access to the configuration of the semantics of the foreigner, presented in three strains: the experience of living in a foreign metropolis with which he does not identify yet serves him as a bridge to discovering an inner world in dialectic terms; the revelation of memories not manifested during his childhood and governed by particular occurrences that reconstruct his search for identity; and the projection of his ego through readings of narratives by others. With this group of elements and by way of the foreigners experience, Rilke manages to articulate the most diverse possibilities of Malte Laurids Grigges search for identity.

En broder, gäst och parasit : Uppfattningar och föreställningar om utlänningar, flyktingar och flyktingpolitik i svensk offentlig debatt 1942-1947 / Brother, guest and parasite : Foreigners, refugees, and refugee policy in the Swedish public debate, 1942-1947

Byström, Mikael January 2006 (has links)
Earlier studies have proposed that Swedish refugee policy started to change around 1942, when a restrictive refugee policy became more generous and humanitarian. From a quantitative point of view this statement is true: there were about ten thousand refugees in 1941, compared to almost two hundred thousand by the end of the war. However, this does not tell us whether the well-known discourses of Swedish inter-war anti-Semitism, nationalism and xenophobia underwent the same changes. The aim of this dissertation is to analyse the public debate concerning foreigners, refugees and refugee policy in 1942–1947. The dissertation puts forward the hypothesis of The Nordic prerogative. In brief, this prerogative meant that Sweden primarily held itself obliged to accept ethnical Northeners as refugees, and looked upon this obligation as more important than other considerations, such as the refugee’s ideological views, need of protection or humanitarian needs. Symptomatically, the groups which could not be entirely encompassed within the idea of a Nordic prerogative, particularly the Balts and the Danish Jews, were perceived as the most problematical refugee groups, both on a general level of the debates, and in specific issues. The idea of a Nordic prerogative did not derive from a sense of ethnical fraternity and humanitarian considerations alone, however. Several undertakings were also brought about by pragmatic considerations. Sweden sought goodwill, and reception of refugees was seen as one way of winning it. The dissertation also shows that the idea of a Nordic prerogative seems to become less important when the refugee comes closer to the everyday life of Sweden, where the Nordic refugees too were referred to as ”foreigners”, ”aliens” etc. As such, they had to put up with being spoken of in negatively loaded expressions, in the same way as other foreigners.

Λάγιος, Βασίλειος 13 April 2009 (has links)
The research examines the percipience held by the cultural group of the foreign students about their feelings, experiences and impressions they have developed through the behavior of other students in interactive situations. In particular, we examined if the cultural minority of the foreign students considers itself as stigmatized and marginal by causing to others prejudices and stereotypes. We also examined how other factors, like the origin, the sex, the age and the place of living, influence that percipience. In the research participated 411 foreign students of the elementary schools of the regions Achaia, Ileia and Aitoloakarnania. The students were given the stigma consciousness questionnaire. The results showed that a great percentage of the foreign students become conscious of these facts. They also revealed that the factor of origin influence this percipience while others factors does not affect stigma consciousness.
