Da filantropia à responsabilidade social

No. of bitstreams: 1 3323.pdf: 1068977 bytes, checksum: e4175e75a7b16040c451e606b620e6e4 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-10-22 / Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais / In this work, from a case study approach, we discuss social responsibility from the idea of philanthropy. Analyzing the Brazilian subsidiary of a north-american cosmetics company whose disclosures says their social actions began in the nineteenth century, we point out and discuss the changes in the forms of involvement with society and how it deals with the issue of social responsibility. We addressed the most significant changes the behavior of the company in social issues and the kind of engagement with actors outside the firm. Therefore, we performed the analysis of the material of the company and its social projects, interviews with people involved in these projects and a literature search on the topics addressed. The results show a change in the treatment of social issues by the company and the importance of emotion in marketing the company and its social responsibility programs for customers and resellers of the brand, while for the market the use of this emotion is justified in a ' more rational ' manner. It became apparent even to the insertion of new actors in the framework of responsibility and commitment: government agencies, resellers, customers, non-governmental organizations are being included in the context of responsibility, making the idea of social responsibility be seen as a joint and not an individual attitude of the company.

Pedde, Valdir January 2000 (has links)
The objective of this dissertation is to understand how the ritual performance contributes in the elaboration and support of the charismatic ethos in two distinct religious institutions: the Evagelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil and the Roman Catholic Church. In order to do that, I pursuit to verify which performance resources are impelled in the ritual of each one of these charismatic groups. I focus the analysis in the comprehension of how the performance artifice acts on the participants of the ritual. In order to achieve this understanding, it is used the presupposed of ritual and performance theories. Besides studying the foresaid phenomenon in both churches separetely, The present text proposes a comparative analysis between them. This dissertation was built based on the ethnographic research realized into charismatic communities of the religious institutions in reference, placed in some cities of Porto Alegre Metropolitan Area.

This thesis discusses the insertion of the Charismatic Catholicism in the Brazilian elections in 2010. Faced with a political and academic setting that saw the religion vector as part of this political scene, the intention is to focus the attention on the political practices made by people who were part of Charismatic Catholicism, one of the segments that contributed to evidence that vector. Aware that the directions taken by religion in 2010 were extremely controversial, I tryed to emphasize the organization way that the Charismatic Catholicism developed to handle the elections, creating a specialized organ in politics; how the candidacy of members of this segment are fabricated within the limits and possibilities of their political-religious inserts; and how a media linked to the charismatic segment directed a political coverage on its television broadcast. The way that these sectors were observed took into account the existence of a multiposicional situation, evidenced toward the impossibility of realizing a vertical and uniform attitude in the political involvement of the Charismatic Catholicism. The articulations that pass through their actions and attitudes allowed the visualization of some provisional connections and points, difficult to generalize. This is the process that I will attempt to demonstrate.

Aparições de Nossa Senhora: mensagens e peregrinações na contemporaneidade / Apparitions of Nossa Senhora: Messages and Pilgrimages in contemporary

Lilian Maria Pinto Sales 17 February 2009 (has links)
The thesis analyses Our Ladys appearances in Brazil, trying to understand the social and symbolic process supporting the creation of collective beliefs about these appearances, a process that always start with personal witness about the appearances of Our Lady. In order to analyze that, we realize a case study in the city of Jacareí, São Paulo state. The thesis reveals the process in which these appearances occur, where different factors are fundamental. Among them we shall focus: 1) the relations and connections involving individuals and groups, inserting the apparitions in a net of Mary´s demonstrations, like pilgrimages; 2) the Catholic Church role in the production of ideas and beliefs which give legitimacy to the appearances; 3) the symbolic molding of theses appearances, which are fundamental to that legitimacy; 4) the presence of long terms symbolic elements. Each one of these topics was developed in a separate chapter.

A metodologia que orienta a pesquisa se baseia no arcabouço teórico da Análise de Discurso / The main objective of this thesis is to study the interdiscoursive relationship which acts as foundation of two religious groups of contemporary Brazilian Evangelical Church: Integral Mission Theology (IMT) and the Pentecostal Movement (PM). The analysis is guided in the research of the ethos of both groups, from the work of Dominique Maingueneau. Through interaction between different discursive plans (ethos, intertextuality and controversial), seeks to investigate how the exchange works forming the speeches of IMT and PM. In this sense, the analysis focuses on textual elements in the search to understand the mode of operation of this interdiscourse. The starting point of this work is the doctoral thesis from Silva (2006), who studied the discursive model of Liberation Theology and Charismatic Renewal within the Catholic discursive space. The theoretical framework that guides this work is based on the Global Semantics as proposed Maingueneau (2005), for whom the various discursive plans are both restricted and shape the discourse as a whole. The research corpus has a range of genres, ranging from books and documents to interviews, newspaper articles and magazines, which are seen as elements of discursive practice of both groups addressed. From the religious space, the work goes to the political, analyzing the interaction of both groups in the political scene, as the performance of the evangelical bench and progressive Protestant sectors. The methodology that guides the research is based on the theoretical framework of the discourse analysis

[en] THE NEW CATHOLIC COMMUNITIES: TOWARDS A RENEWED CITIZENSHIP? / [pt] AS NOVAS COMUNIDADES CATÓLICAS: RUMO A UMA CIDADANIA RENOVADA?

SANDRO DOS SANTOS GOMES 29 October 2008 (has links)
[en] The new catholic communities - the communities of life and alliance - are a new phenomenon in the catholic universe. Born from The Catholic Charismatic Renewal, the New Communities are the institutionalization of Catholic Pentecostalism. The Catholic Church in Brazil in the last fifty years has stood out by the participation in the civil society and in the political public sphere in defense of citizenship. The present research has looked to answer a question: could be the New Communities moving towards the civil society and political public sphere, developing what it could be named a renewed citizenship? Taking the New Communities from the metopolitan region of Rio de Janeiro as a field of research, the answer was negative. The charismatic spirituality, a mystical way of salvation, and the ideal of fraternity lived in community, which characterized the New Communities, are barriers for participation in the plural space of the civil society and political public sphere because they emphasize a radical rupture with the world - the society - creating a own private space - the Community - to live the fraternity and the gifts from the Holy Spirit.

Les réalités charismatiques déplacent-elles les frontières œcuméniques ? / Do the charismatic realities move the ecumenical borders ?

Bonnal-Caudal, Dominique 20 June 2016 (has links)
The so called charismatic movements have existed since the day of Pentecost, and the beginning of Christianity. Since the very start, they gave rise to enthousiasm, contempt or rejection. It is true that they manifest spiritual gifts, which are sometimes very strange. The authenticity of which has to be confirmed. Do they come from God or from charlatan and crowd seducers? To study them, we thought il was essential to place them in their historical context: history of their reception by the main streams of the Church, history of their evolution through two or three generations, and history of their filiations, especially between the three pentecostal waves of the XXth century. The heart of our work is to cross those charismatic realities with the ecumenical movement, also born in the XXth century. Do they contribute to bringing Churches closer? Or, on the contrary, do they build new walls within Churches or between them? Our analysis looks at the question from the point of vue of practical theology: we first collected facts, testimonies and interviews. We studied them, looking for both converging and diverging results. We interpreted them through multi-disciplinary reasoning. Our conclusions move more in the direction of new displacements, which are concrete, real, and transdenominationnel rather than institutional. They result in the nead to redefine the Church and its unity.

Spirituality of Kenyan pastors : a practical theological study of Kikuyu PCEA pastors in Nairobi

Park, Sung Kyu 31 October 2008 (has links)
The subject of spirituality is descriptive, comprehensive, transformative, and interdisciplinary. This study is about the spirituality of Kikuyu PCEA (Presbyterian Church of East Africa) pastors in Nairobi. This research seeks to find expressions and meanings of Christian spirituality of the research context. Thus, the concrete aims of this research are: (1) to understand the complex spiritual/religious/cultural world of Kikuyu pastors of the Presbyterian Church in Nairobi; (2) to study biblical and historical spirituality in order to find biblical and Western-historical spiritual perspectives; (3) to have critical hermeneutical dialogue between narratives, different cultural/religious traditions, biblical/Western-historical spiritual perspectives, and African theological perspectives with a view to finding strategies for transformation of the research participants, churches in Africa, and African society at large. To achieve the aforementioned aims of this research, a research paradigm was employed which is comprised of postfoundationalism, practical theology, narrative, and social constructionism. Postfoundationalism provided theological positioning; practical theological process laid a framework of the research as the main research methodology; narratives generated essential experiences for the research; social constructionism provided a method with which to form the realities socially which would have a relevance to the context. Thick questions were formulated from the following studies: the narratives of the research participants, African (Kikuyu) cultural/religious traditions, Christianity’s influences on the research context, and the socio-economic-political phenomena of the Kenyan society. The questions were: (1) Would mission Christianity including the Presbyterian Church of East Africa continue to be an effective form of Christianity in Kenya and among the Kikuyu?; (2) What is the relationship between charismatic spirituality and the contextual spirituality of East Africa?; (3) How can spirituality shape and influence the socio-economic-political context more than it being influenced by the context?; (4) What would the biblical and historical spirituality suggest to the spiritualities of the research participants? In regards to biblical/historical spiritualities, the spiritualities of both Old and New Testament and each historical period were unique, and the spirituality of each period was developed distinctively by the needs of the time. Then the fusion of horizons between the research context and biblical/historical spiritualities turned out to be a valuable process for the making of the final strategies for transformation. The strategies for transformation reflect the essential elements of African Christian spirituality, which can be applied to the African socio-religious context beyond the scope of the current research arena. Christian spirituality in the 21st century Africa demands African expression and identity whether it means contextualisation, liberation, or reconstruction. Structures, governance, forms, and expressions of the Christianity of the past century need to be re-evaluated for the formation of authentic African Christian spirituality. African society faces tremendous challenges and pressures providing Christianity with both an unprecedented privilege and obligation to impact African society with the message of love and hope. / Thesis (PhD)--University of Pretoria, 2008. / Practical Theology / unrestricted
