Klass, åsikt och partisympati : det svenska konsumtionsfältet för politiska åsikter

The aim of this thesis is to study political opinions and party voting in relation to class. The range of opinions studied consists of a socioeconomic dimension, dealing with issues of economic equality, and a socio-cultural dimension, dealing with questions of culture and morality. Following Pierre Bourdieu, the object of the study is conceptualised as a field of consumption of political opinions consisting of a space of political opinions or stances, a space of political party preferences, and a space of social positions or opinion holders defined by (among other things) their cultural and economic capital. The field of consumption is examined through multiple correspondence analysis and Euclidean classification. Overall, the field of consumption of political opinions is found to be relatively homologous to the social space. The field of consumption is found to be a two-dimensional space, with one dimension separating left-wing from rightwing opinions and the second distinguishing between socio economic and socio- cultural opinions. The tendency to vote left wing and to have left-leaning socio-economic opinions corresponds to a low total volume of capital and possessions dominated by cultural capital, whereas the tendency to vote right wing and to have right-leaning socio-economic opinions corresponds to a high total volume of capital. Liberal socio-cultural opinions correspond to a high level of possession cultural capital (and its relative weight in the structure of the total possession of capital), whereas the opposite is true for conservative opinions. Furthermore, the socio-cultural dimension is found to harbour two different aspects: liberalism or conservatism with regard to traditional morality and liberalism or conservatism with regard to the idea of a national culture. This thesis also studies how individuals tend to combine opinions from the two dimensions into tangible constellations of opinions.

Abstract The study is based on an assignment from Vasterbotten Football Association that because of poor participation in futsal activities wants to find out what clubs, the coaches and players in Vasterbotten think of futsal. The aim is to find out the opinions on futsal and what these opinions are based on. In addition, a literature survey to examine how sports grows and becomes established. Data were collected through interviews in major cities and its surrounding areas in Vasterbotten. The coaches and clubs opinions of futsal does not differ very much they both find that futsal is a fast, fun sport but in the end still just a complement to football. The players in the study believed that it was the same as indoor football and that they would have liked to have played futsal more than they do now. It did not differ significantly between the opinions of the interviewees. To establish a sport there are certain elements that may affect the development of a sport to different degrees. It is still sports culture which is the most important piece, because the prevailing culture in Sweden right now believes that futsal is a complement to football this cultural must change for futsal to successfully establish itself.

Nationella prov - stöd eller hot? : Några gymnasielärares uppfattning om de nationella provens betydelse / National assessment – support or threat? : Some teachers opinions about the importance of the national assessments

The purpose of this study is to analyse the significance of the national assessment in highschool education, including what the teachers express about the new instructions currently coming from the Swedish National Agency of Education, concerning a more central control of grading the national assessments. This study also covers the teachers individual responsibility when it comes to grading the national assessments. The purpose of the national assessment is to secure that grading and the education level in the country is equal. This is a qualitative study useing the method of a group discussion intervju (focusgroup intervju). Five highschool teachers took part in the discussion with questions that had been decided beforehand. The aim with this method is to give space for open discussions and reflections within the group. The result of the study shows that the respondants had been influenced by the tention between the new instructions from the Swedish National Agency of Education and the teachers autonomy. The study also elucidates the tendencies that exists in the country of grading too positive. The respondants expressed that they are affected  by the new instructions and that their final grading is controlled by the results from the assessments. / Syftet är att synliggöra de nationella provens betydelse i gymnasieskolan innefattandevad några lärare uttrycker om förändringarna som pågår från Skolverket, angående enmer central styrning av bedömningen av de nationella proven. Undersökningen tar ävenupp lärarnas individuella ansvar i bedömningen av nationella proven. De nationellaproven ska säkerställa en rättvis bedömning nationellt och fungera som rikslikande.Detta är en kvalitativ studie där vi använt oss av en fokusgruppintervju somundersökningsmetod. Fem stycken gymnasielärare deltog i en intervju som utgick frånfasta frågeställningar. Metoden ger utrymme för diskussioner och reflektioner inomgruppen. The Effect Of Instruction With Concrete Materials On Fourth Grade Students

The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of concrete materials on fourth grade students&rsquo / geometry achievement. The secondary purpose was to investigate their opinions and feelings about instruction with concrete materials. The study was carried out in a private school in Ankara with 32 fourth grade elementary school students. One group pretest-posttest design was used. Geometry Achievement Test was administered to collect the necessary data. The instruction with concrete materials was applied by the researcher five hours per week in 10 weeks. The data were analyzed by using one-way repeated measures analysis of variance. Also, an interview was conducted with 11 students to determine their opinions and feelings about instruction with concrete materials. The results of the study revealed that there was a statistically significant change in geometry achievement of fourth grade students who participated in the instruction with concrete materials over three time periods. In other words, there were statistically significant positive changes in students&rsquo / geometry achievement across pre-intervention and post-intervention and across pre-intervention and followup. Moreover, there was no statistically significant change in students&rsquo / achievement across post-intervention and follow-up. The other results can be deducted from the study: most of the students enjoyed the class more when concrete materials were used / some of the students became anxious when they first saw the questions in preintervention / most of the students stated that questions become easier after instruction with concrete materials / cubes and the geoboard were the most useful and most liked as perceived by the students.

Ansattes syn på friluftsliv i barnehagen : En kvalitativ studie / Employees’opinions about usingnature in kindergarten : A qualitative study

Hensikt Studiens hensikt er å få kunnskap om hvilke holdninger, meninger og verdier ansatte i norske barnehager har om bruk av fri natur til lek og aktivitet. Vi undersøkte også deres meninger om barnehagens rolle, samt fremmende og hemmende faktorer forbruk av natur til lek og aktivitet i barnehagen. Metode Tjueen barnehageansatte fra fire kommuner i Midt-Norge deltok på seks fokusgruppe-intervju.Informantene kom både fra barnehager som signaliserte et spesielt fokus på friluftsliv gjennom navnet på barnehagen eller på sin hjemmeside, og barnehager uten et slikt spesielt fokus. Kvalitativ innholdsanalyse ble brukt til analyseav datamaterialet. Resultat Tre kategorier ble identifisert: (i) Naturen som arena for fysisk og psykososial utvikling og læring,(ii) Barnehagen som formidler av friluftsliv og gode naturopplevelserog (iii)Faktorer som påvirker bruk av natur. Påvirkningsfaktorer ble identifisert både internt i den enkelte barnehage, iforhold utenfor barnehagen, og fra sentrale myndigheter Konklusjon Natur kan være en god arena for læring, helhetlig utvikling og helse for barn i barnehagen. I tillegg kan bruk av natur også bidra til å utjevne sosiale helseforskjeller. Hvis barnehagene skal kunne legge til rette for jevnlig aktivitet og lek i natur, må flere interne og eksterne faktorer tas i betraktning. / Purpose This study aimed to increase knowledge about the stance, opinion, and valuesof kindergarten employees regarding the use ofnature in playand general activity. We also investigated the role of kindergarten, and factors that promote or inhibit how kindergartens use nature. Method Twenty-one kindergarten employees from four municipalities in Central Norway participated in six focus group interviews. Study participants came from kindergartens that provided aspecificfocus on outdoor and nature in the name of the kindergarten, or on their homepages, as well as kindergartens that lacked such focus. We used qualitative contentanalysis to analyzethe data. Results Our analysis identified three categories: (i) nature as an arena for physical and psychosocial development and learning, (ii) kindergarten as a promoter of outdoor activities, and (iii) factors that influence the use of nature. We found that such influencesoccur within the kindergarten, in arenas outsidethe kindergarten,and from central authorities. Conclusion The use of nature can contribute to learning and the overall development and health of kindergartners. Moreover, nature may help reducesocial health inequalities. To enhance the facilitation of regular activity and playing in nature, several internal and external factorsshould be considered

Åsnen, mer än bara en sjö? : En studie av turistföretagarnas åsikter om Destination Åsnen

Vid Åsnen pågår just nu arbetet att etablera en nationalpark för att bevara och presentera den unika naturen. Parallellt med detta arbete pågår ett projekt för att marknadsföra hela regionen som en destination. Denna uppsats behandlar turistföretagares åsikter av den pågående destinationsutvecklingen i Destination Åsnen. En kvalitativ undersökningsmetod med semi-strukturerade intervjuer har gjorts på ett urval av turistföretagarna i Åsnen. Denna metod har gett en kartläggning av turistföretagarnas åsikter och representerar den enskilda turistföretagaren i en stor destination. Dessa åsikter analyseras via jämförelser med tidigare forskning och därefter dras slutsatser om vilka följder åsikterna kan leda till för Destination Åsnen. Vår studie kommer fram till att turistföretagarnas åsikter kan få följder för destinationen. Turistföretagarnas uttryckta åsikter har identifierat brister i samarbetet som berör olika aspekter av Destination Åsnen. De identifierade bristerna som finns i destinationsutvecklingen kan innebära utmaningar för Destination Åsnens framtid. / A process has been started in order to establish a national park in the area of lake Åsnen in Småland in order to present and preserve the unique nature. Simultaneously there is another project focusing on marketing the whole region as one destination. This thesis deals with the opinions of tourism entrepreneurs of the ongoing development in Destinaion Åsnen. A qualitative research method with semi-structured interviews were conducted on a sample of the tourist companies in Åsnen. This method has identified opinions that represent individual tourism entrepreneurs in a big destination. These opinions are analyzed through comparisons with earlier research and then draws conclusions on the consequences that the opinions might lead to regarding Destination Åsnens future. Our study concludes that the opinions of the tourism entrepreneurs may have consequences for the destination. The expressed opinions have identified deficiencies in cooperation that affects various aspects of Destination Åsnen. The identified deficiencies in the present destination development may result in future challenges for Destination Åsnen.

Domácí násilí z pohledu studentů Zdravotně sociální fakulty Jihočeské univerzity / Domestic Violence from the Perspective of Students at Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of University of South Bohemia

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of domestic violence. At present, we speak about domestic violence more often, however, education is always a significant benefit, because stereotypical assumptions still remain in our society. They are often one of the obstacles which result in the impossibility to eliminate this socially pathological phenomenon. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the current status, forms, signs, progress, and the most common myths and prejudices of the public on the issue of domestic violence. In conclusion of the theoretical part I focus on prevention of socially pathological phenomena, and helping the victims. For this diploma work were established the following three hypotheses: H1: "Students at University of South Bohemia perceive the aggressor as the initiator of domestic violence." H2: "Students at University of South Bohemia perceive the aggressor as an uneducated person." H3: "Students at University of South Bohemia are convinced that domestic violence is more frequent with another ethnicity." In the empirical part I characterize the selected group. The research involved a total of 512 students. They include 450 women and 62 men. They were the students of Bachelor's and Master's study programmes of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia, in full-time and extramural form of study, and different age categories. The research was lead by the method of quantitative research, using a questionnaire survey with the semantic differential. Students had the opportunity to write down their positive or negative view of the victim and the offender or to remain impartial. The aim of the thesis was to find out the opinions and attitudes of students attending Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia to the victim and perpetrators of domestic violence. Most commonly, the students perceive the victim as a submissive, introverted, timid woman, who is not satisfied with this situation. They perceive the perpetrator as a dominant individual, who tends to jealousy. The stated hypothesis H1 has been confirmed. Hypotheses H2 and H3 have not been confirmed, and as a result, the alternative hypotheses have been accepted.

Diploma thesis reviews the position of the European Union to regulate the business-to-business relations in the retail supply chain and sums up the view of parliamentary political parties in the Czech Republic on the regulation of unfair trading practices in the business-to-business relations. The first chapter defines the behavior of firms in the market structures of perfect and imperfect competition, and specifies the microeconomic effects of economic policy. The second chapter describes the development of retail sector, forms of unfair trading practices, and approaches to solving the problem of unfair trade practices in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. The third chapter presents opinions of political parties in the Czech Republic to regulate the unfair trading practices in the retail supply chain.

The diploma thesis investigates the topic of Generation Y in the context of development of lifestyle opinions during the period 2007 until 2013. The objective is to reveal specific trends in the area of lifestyle opinions during research period with focus on the Czech Republic. To fulfil this objective, diploma thesis analyses internal information sources of Omnicom Media Group in order to understand the current state of marketing knowledge towards generation Y worldwide. In order to maximize the relevancy with regard to Czech Republic, quantitative and qualitative research methods are used. The quantitative research part analyses trends on the basis of six waves of continuous research project of Median. The qualitative research part applies the focus group methodology in order to add incremental knowledge and discover novel topics which exceed the scope of the continuous research project.
