In House, to improve the competitiveness for oil packaging companies, in the eastern from Lima

Anglas Ramírez, Eriko Fernando 04 November 2019 (has links)
In Peru, there are many small oil packaging companies that have started to produce their own packages, with basic designs, manual equipment and low productivity, which means they can’t progress nor focus on their Core Business, oil production and sales, and they are not profitable. For that reason, we propose to create new packages designs or improve those that already exist, produce high performance molds, improve productivity and offer clients packages in line with their Production Plan. In that way, clients will focus on their Core Business because that process will be outsourced, their products will have a high added value and they will be able to put into practice new sale strategies in order to grow and develop with minimum risks for their business. This Research Project proves that the outsourcing process in plastic blow molding packages in small and medium-sized oil packaging companies is very important, because it helps develop new market strategies: new formats, new brands, different designs, etc., which makes the final product more affordable to consumers and diverse market segments, given that the company has a strategic partner who supports the new projects of the client. The Business Model CANVAS, used to develop this Research Project, visualizes better the value proposal for this type of business. Although, this model is not exclusive for oil packaging companies, but also for many different packaging companies like juice packaging companies, etc. This can have a huge impact in agro-export products, and it can add value to national producers. / Tesis

Do-it-Yourself Module Systems / Extending Dependently-Typed Languages to Implement Module System Features In The Core Language

Al-hassy, Musa January 2021 (has links)
In programming languages, record types give a universe of discourse (via so-called Σ-types); parameterised record types fix parts of that universe ahead of time (via Π-types), and algebraic datatypes give us first-class syntax (via W-types), which can then be used to program, e.g., evaluators and optimisers. A frequently-encountered issue in library design for statically-typed languages is that, for example, the algebraic datatype implementing the first-class view of the language induced by a record declaration cannot be defined by simple reference to the record type declaration, nor to any common “source”. This leads to unwelcome repetition, and to maintenance burdens. Similarly, the “unbundling problem” concerns similar repetition that arises for variants of record types where some fields are turned into parameters. The goal of this thesis is to show how, in dependently-typed languages (DTLs), algebraic datatypes and parameterised record types can be obtained from a single pragmatic declaration within the dependently-typed language itself, without using a separate “module language”. Besides this practical shared declaration interface, which is extensible in the language, we also find that common data structures correspond to simple theories. Put simply, the thesis is about making tedious and inexpressible patterns of programming in DTLs (dependently typed languages) become mechanical and expressible. The situations described above occur frequently when working in a dependently-typed language, and it is reasonable enough to have the computer handle them. We develop a notion of contexts that serve as common source for definitions of algebraic datatype and of parameterised record types, and demonstrate a “language” of “package operations” that enables us to avoid the above-mentioned replication that pervades current library developments. On the one hand, we demonstrate an implementation of that language as integrated editor functionality — this makes it possible to directly emulate the different solutions that are employed in current library developments, and refactor these into a shape that uses single declaration of contexts, thus avoiding the usual repetition that is otherwise required for provision of record types at different levels of parameterisation and of algebraic datatypes. On the other hand, we will demonstrate that the power of dependently-typed languages is sufficient to implement such package operations in a statically-typed manner within the language; using this approach will require adapting to the accordingly-changed library interfaces. Although our development uses the dependently-typed programming language Agda throughout, we emphasise that the idea is sufficiently generic to be implemented in other DTLs. / Thesis / Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) / There are things we want to use from various perspectives, our tools show that this is possible without any duplication and in a practical and efficient fashion.

Peterson, Klara January 2021 (has links)
The global food system is facing enormous environmental and healthchallenges to achieve sustainable development. Research in the field showsthat in order for the food system to be contained within the planetaryboundaries, changes are required in production, reduced food waste and dietaryhabits (Willet et al. 2019). According to Röös et al. (2020) there is noindication that this will happen spontaneously, but politically decidedinstruments are needed (Röös et al. 2020).In August 2020, the research platform SLU Future Food presented the reportInstruments for Sustainable Food Consumption - an Overview of Knowledgeand Ways Forward. The report is a survey of the level of knowledge insustainable food consumption and describes 17 possible instruments in thearea. The 17 instruments are divided into three categories based on whichmechanisms the state can use. The report shows that work in the public sectorneeds to be intensified, that national goals are needed for sustainable foodconsumption and that effective and attractive policy packages should bedeveloped and implemented (Röös et al. 2020).The purpose of this study is to examine how Sweden's eight parliamentaryparties relate to the facts and necessary future measures shown in the SLUreport. This is done by investigating whether the parties are willing to adoptgoals for sustainable food consumption that are in line with already decidedclimate and environmental goals and how the parties relate to theimplementation of the 17 instruments proposed by SLU Future Food. For thispurpose, a qualitative and quantitative questionnaire was used. The basis forthe survey design is the report from SLU Future Food. The respondents fromeach party are members of the Committee for the Environment and Agricultureas they are working with environmental and climate policies in Sweden andprepare the Swedish Parliament’s decisions relating to environmental goals(Swedish Parliament 2021).The results of the investigation show that instruments in the categoryKnowledge and Support are generally more accepted among the parties thaninstruments in the categories Changed Relative Prices and Regulation andRequirements. Further, it is clear that none of Sweden's eight parliamentaryparties will, before their forthcoming term of office 2022–2026, promote theimplementation of the policy package in its entirety. The conclusion is thatthere is an evident discrepancy between the national and internationalenvironmental and climate goals and the political parties’ intentions towardsthe consumer in this matter, and political willingness to decrease thisdiscrepancy is generally limited to measures with low/slow impact. / <p>2021-06-04</p>

Sy, Djibril January 2010 (has links)
L'optimisation s'est faite à partir d'un modèle SEA (Statitical Energy Analysis) couplé à un code d'optimisation basé sur un algorithme génétique||Abstract : This work is part of the MFERD (Magnesium Front End Research and Development) project which goal is to develop enabling technologies for the use of magnesium alloys as a principal structural material for cars (mainly made in steel which is four time heavier than magnesium) in order to reduce their mass for both, environmental and security concerns. In this work we have focused on the acoustic part, in the case of a magnesium alloy dash panel. The dash board, by separating the engine compartment from the interior cabin, plays a critical role in the insulation of the car interior. Since the acoustic comfort inside the car has become a marketing argument of great importance, the passage from steel to magnesium dash panel should not deteriorate acoustic performances. In this work, we first conducted a literature review on the types of acoustic treatments used in the automotive industry as well as various techniques of their modeling. We then compared the acoustic performances of a Mg dash with attached traditional acoustic treatments (single-layer, two layers and three layers) to those of a steel and aluminum dash panels with the same mass density, stiffness and/or frequency of resonances. Finally, we optimized different concepts of innovative sound packages applied on the Mg dash panel to achieve a noise performance similar or superior to those of a conventional steel dash. The optimization was done using a SEA (Statitical Energy Analysis) model, coupled with an optimization code based on a genetic algorithm.

QCF qualifications as a catalyst for learning and performance : an investigation into the link between vocational qualifications and skills

Tuckwood, Debbie Ann January 2012 (has links)
During the 2000s, the former UK Government introduced the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) in an attempt to increase the relevance of qualifications and the qualification level of the UK labour force (HMSO 2006). However views about the value of the QCF and qualifications generally are contested. Through longitudinal case study research, the thesis finds a vocational purpose for qualifications that supports a culture of continuous improvement. This results in models that contribute to thinking about vocational learning and the role of qualifications, and provide a conceptional bridge between paradigms of workplace learning and concepts of organisational excellence. The thesis explores common understanding of learning and skills to explain issues relating to National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and the QCF. In particular the thesis identifies significant implementation problems for the QCF due to differing ontological and epistemological understanding of the meaning of skills and their measurement, and requirements for different delivery and assessment models. In addition, the study identifies that rapidly changing organisational arrangements and regulation hinder the establishment of a more diverse and inclusive QCF. The thesis concludes that the QCF best fits Hager’s (2002) concept of learning that encompasses learning of many different kinds. Also the QCF is valuable as a flexible framework that establishes a degree of order in complex, rapidly changing learning environments. However the qualifications require broadly specified assessment criteria, and links to external communities of practice and associated learning packages.

The Effects of Providing a Brief Training Package to Daycare Teachers to Teach a Child a Sign for Social Attention

Zimmerman, Valerie L. V. 08 1900 (has links)
Behavioral skills training (BST) packages have been successful in increasing change agents’ correct implementation of various procedures. The current study evaluated the effects of a brief BST package to train daycare teachers to implement incidental teaching procedures with toddlers. The brief BST consisted of a set of written instructions, a two-minute video model, rehearsal, and feedback during session. Results demonstrated that teachers increased their correct implementation of incidental teaching procedures following training. In addition, two of the three toddlers increased the frequency of signs to request attention.

AppRecommender: um recomendador de aplicativos GNU/Linux / AppRecommender: a recommender system for GNU/Linux applications

Araujo, Tássia Camões 30 September 2011 (has links)
The increasing availability of open source software on the World Wide Web exposes potential users to a wide range of choices. Given the individuals plurality of interests, mechanisms that get them close to what they are looking for would benefit users and software developers. This work presents AppRecommender, a recommender system for GNU/Linux applications which performs a filtering on the set of available software and individually offers suggestions to users. This is achieved by analyzing profiles and discovering patterns of behavior of the studied population, in a way that only those applications considered most prone to acceptance are presented to users.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Lilian Antunes Pinto.pdf: 4311313 bytes, checksum: 37bf9ac00a3449c626d1f5d990c0a36a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-07-30 / Search new recycling ways and new materials from the mixture of materials that have been used it is important to ensure the sustainability and continuity of the product chain. This study was conducted in order to find alternatives to recycle the paper from the long life carton packages, through the incorporation of fibers in a matrix of recycled polyethylene. For this research was added 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of cellulose fibers in the polymer matrix by in single screw extrusion process and conformation of specimens by injection. To check the features obtained from the formulations prepared samples were subjected to tensile test and bending, morphological characterization by scanning electron microscopy, infrared and DSC tests as the Hot Stage. Through tensile and bending tests was possible to prove the increase in stiffness and the yield stress of the polymer with the addition of cellulose fibers. FTIR analysis showed that degradation of LDPE used in the research, coming from industrial waste, was not significant. In terms of thermal characterization, performed by testing DSC on Hot Stage, the presence of cellulose fibers neither affected the melting temperature of the material nor submitted nucleating effect, did not changing the temperature of crystallization of the matrix LDPE.
