The life of couples : intercultural and comparative approach between Syrian couples, French and Franco-Syrian

Warda, Fatin 10 July 2015 (has links)
This thesis focuses on « the life of couples: comparative study between Syrian couples, French and Franco-Syrian ». / Considering the higher education scenario in Brazil, the thesis that proposed defend it was systematized as follows: there is a lack of public policies and organizational policies of teacher training for the management of higher education Institutions (HEI) which focuses on building the social role of academic manager, compromising the outsourcing and the recognition of their managerial competencies, in performing such social role. This investigation was guided by the following research question: how the gap of public policies and organizational policies related to teacher training for the management of HEI reflected in the construction of academic manager role and management of managerial competencies skills of teachers, considering their performance in the role of manager?. In the search for answers to the problems, took place a basic interpretive qualitative study, with the Federal University of São Francisco Valley as a place of research. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation and document analysis of secondary data, characterizing the methodological triangulation. The Content Analysis was adopted for the processing of data, with the support of the Atlas Ti software. Given the distinct natures of epistemological constructs imposed on survey question, the research guided by a multi-paradigmatic perspective, translating into theoretical triangulation, giving heterodox character to the thesis. The theoretical framework consisted of the following themes: social roles; social roles of higher education teacher, emphasizing the role of academic manager; managerial skills of higher education teachers, public policies and organizational policies for the training of higher education teachers. The analytical models of Paiva (2007) and Mendonça et al. (2012) also gave support to the study, culminating in a proposal for integration represented in the Framework for analysis of formation of managerial skills of the academic manager in federal universities. The findings concerning the five guiding questions confirmed the defended thesis and led to the following conclusion: the gap of public policies and organizational policies for training of higher education teachers for federal institutions of high education (Ifes) management focuses on the construction and socialization of subject in the role of academic manager, compromising the process of outsourcing, legitimacy and development of professional management skills, everlasting thus the unprofessional actions of the same in the exercise of that role. Far from exhausting discussions, this study reaffirms the understanding that the complexity and dynamics of the Brazilian educational reality are demanding the adoption of public and organizational policies of formation of teacher for the Ifes management, based on the development of managerial competencies that contribute to the performance of these subjects in the academic manager role and help them to promote teaching, research and extension in excellence levels.

This work is a case study which relates to Interactional Sociolinguistics researches and analyzes the teacher-student interaction as revealing the movement towards and away from the institutionalized context of the school. Postulating that there is a direct link between teacher-student interaction and learning, a micro-analysis of two lectures recorded on a art project was made in order to answer the following questions: how to characterize the teacher-student interaction in an art class at projeto Café com Pão Arte conFusão, in terms of alignments of participants and framings evoked on this situation, and which linguistic-discursive and contextual elements are relevant in this interaction? We analyzed the social roles, power relations and communicative actions of the teacher are favorable response on the student and those that create barriers to interaction. It was concluded that, in the specific context of recorded classes , the relationship between teacher-student interaction and learning can exist, but it is not the main responsible for the results achieved in this project. The teacher, on herspecific role did not revealed different from the typical patterns as it was expected, but her acting as a playwright makes effectively the interaction with the students and renders suggestive the conjugation between the teaching of language and art.

Sicílie jako metafora? Literární obraz Sicílie ve vybraných dílech sicilských autorů. / Sicily as a metaphor? Literary image of Sicily in selected works of Sicilian authors.

Chaloupková, Veronika January 2017 (has links)
(in English): This diploma thesis deals with the literary image of Sicily by analysing characteristic works by four Sicilian authors in the historical period from the process of the Italian unification to the end of World War II. The authors are Giovanni Verga, Luigi Pirandello, Vitaliano Brancati and Leonardo Sciascia. This thesis is based primarily on the assumption that these writers are subjective and empiric authors and their works clearly reflect the fact that they hail from Sicily having been influenced by its societal norms and traditions. The author supports her arguments by the theoretical essays written by Leonardo Sciascia, who devoted his lifetime to the study of Sicily from the historical, social, political and anthropological perspective. The basic prerequisite for this work therefore consists of three theoretical publications: Pirandello e il pirandelismo (1953, Pirandello and the pirandellism), Pirandello e la Sicilia (1961, Pirandello and Sicily), La Sicilia come metafora (1979, Sicily as a metaphor). In this thesis the author attempts to trace the common attributes and linking motifs throughout selected characteristic works and their analysis. As a conclusion, the author summarizes her observations and intends to find more general parallels between the historical development of...

A Transparency Perspective on the Implementation of New Information and Communication Technology : the Case of Social Media Use in Organizational Context / Perspective de Transparence sur l’Implémentation de Nouvelles Technologies d’Information et de Communication : Le Cas d’Utilisation des Médias Sociaux dans un Contexte Organisationnel

Navazhylava, Kseniya 02 September 2016 (has links)
This dissertation is a multi-perspective inquiry into the phenomenon of social media use in organizational context. It focuses on the processes of enactment of this new technology and investigates how these developments are embedded in the context of occupational norms, social roles, organizational control and autonomy. The research setting is based on the 19-month social media implementation campaign by a central European media organization as a means of enhancing communication and coordination within the organization. The implementation encompassed two departments, journalists and advertising agents, who were asked to create and open their online social media profiles and befriend their colleagues. The dissertation comprises four research papers each taking a separate perspective on the phenomenon. Methodologically, the dissertation builds on qualitative case-study approach and abductive and inductive reasonings. The thesis provides theoretical and practical contributions to the understanding normative prerequisites, process and consequences of social media use in organizational context for occupational norms, online knowledge collaboration and organizational control while presenting co-evolution of the technology meaning and use.

Mnenuka, Angelus 06 March 2013 (has links)

Ummel, Deborah 06 1900 (has links)
The global objective of this thesis is to help develop a better understanding of how living kidney transplantation donors and recipients experience the donation process as an interactive dyad. To address this objective, we suggest an in-depth exploration of the transplant trajectory and of the relational issues at play between donors and recipients in the context of a living kidney donation. A secondary objective, which developed along the way, is to contribute to a better understanding of how to conduct qualitative research with dyads. This thesis is comprised of three articles. The first article is a meta-summary that aimed at aggregating results pertaining to both donors and recipients of a living kidney donation to offer a complete picture of the donation process and to highlight avenues that warrant further research, namely looking at both donors and recipients as an interactive dyad within the same study. The objective of the second article was to provide a better understanding of how living kidney transplantation donors and recipients experience the donation process as an interactive dyad, and in particular the transplant trajectory and the relational issues involved. In-depth qualitative interviews were conducted with five dyads (five donors and five recipients). An interpretative phenomenological analysis of the data suggests that the transplant process can be naturally broken down into five phases of the transplant process: (a) the experience of the disease, (b) the experience of offering and accepting a kidney, (c) the screening period, (d) the surgery, and (e) the post-transplantation period. We found that for each donor-recipient dyad, the transplantation process reflects the unique larger social and interpersonal context within which the dyad evolves, and in this sense, the decision to donate or accept a kidney becomes a reflection of the social role one adheres to with respect to another being in everyday life. The third article emerged from the lessons we learned in conducting the research described in the second article and describes both the ethical challenges and methodological decisions involved in conducting qualitative research with dyads who have shared a common experience. Based on our experience and on the available literature, we offer reflections and recommendations that follow the typical chronology of the research process: (a) recruitment, (b) consent to participation, (c) data collection, (d) transcript validation by participants, (e) data analysis, and (f) result dissemination. Reflecting ahead upon issues at each of these stages is likely to be beneficial in conducting rigorous qualitative research involving dyads. In conclusion, our results underline the importance of the unique larger social and interpersonal context within which dyads evolve and achieve a sense of meaning with respect to their own experience of the donation process. Last, as qualitative research involving dyads continues to evolve, ethical challenges and rigorous methodological decisions should be reflected upon ahead of time.

MAKING HERSTORY : En kritisk analys av dramatiserad kvinnohistoria i visuell media / MAKING HERSTORY : A critical analysis of dramatized women’s history in visual media

Linder, Marlene January 2018 (has links)
The media is not only a source of entertainment, it is also a way to better understand ourselves and a means to shape our identities. The purpose of different types of communication are never neutral, there is always a discourse and an underlying meaning at work. By continually portraying women as stereotypical characters, the patriarchal discourse is reproduced and perpetuates an unequal view of women in society. It is possible to reconstruct the hegemonic male domination and representation is key if there is a change to be had in this area. Thus, it is of utter importance to create productions that showcase a vast variety of social and gender roles. The purpose of this essay is to analyse female representation in visual media with a primary focus on women’s history, exemplified by how gender is created by female characters in the miniseries Fröken Frimans krig. The analysis has a basis in multimodal critical discourse analysis as well as critical narrative analysis, and also takes into consideration Mulvey’s theories on the male gaze. The theoretical framework is based on poststructural feminist theory with an aim to deconstruct notions of what constitutes a woman and a man.

Klima školních tříd prvních ročníků středních škol v závislosti na adaptačním kurzu / The class climate of the first-year of secondary schools depending on the adaptation course

PYTLÍKOVÁ, Anna January 2012 (has links)
The work deals with the comparison of classes that have taken part in an adaptation course to those that have not. The theoretical part describes a class as a small social group and refers to its structure. It also deals with group dynamics and explains developmental stages of a small social group. Further, the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on class climate, environment and atmosphere. It describes the adaptation course and defines its aims as well. The practical part of the thesis contains a description and an analysis of questionnaires that were assigned to the first year classes of the four-year grammar schools in the early days of the school year 2011/2012 and in the beginning of November the same year. Based on the analysis of questionnaires, this part also deals with identifying differences among these classes. It points out that the differences among these classes are small but, nevertheless, the adaptation courses are of benefit to the whole class.
