The bridge between those who create : The impact of social interaction on the creative process

Boysen, Tove, Jamshidzehi, Golnaz January 2022 (has links)

Lejdeblad, Eva-Marie, Olander, Karin January 2024 (has links)

Serneke, Sofia January 2019 (has links)
There are few studies reporting the voices of adolescents with autism, especially concerning their situation in school. Most studies are about children with autism and from the perspectives of their parents or teachers. This study aimed to investigate how adolescents with autism experience the social situation in mainstream upper secondary schools and what success factors and challenges they raise about their social situation. The theoretical framework leans on Aspelin's relational pedagogy and Noddings's ethic of care. The study was conducted using a qualitative method with semistructured interviews with five students. This study intended to contribute to method development about interviewing young people with autism. I used visual support, adapted to the age of the respondent, in the interview.According to the result of this study, the social needs of young students with autism do not look like students without difficulties. In today's schools, there are many opportunities for communication and interaction, which belongs to the difficulties of these students. Students with autism are, according to this study, often alone or in the periphery of the classroom, and they have a smaller contact network and fewer friends than others. The students express that they do not need or want an extensive network of contacts where they interact and communicate; they are satisfied in a small context. However, it is crucial that they have a small context, that they have friendships and that they feel accepted by the class. Without social support and friendship relations, there is a risk of exclusion and bullying. Other challenges are all situations where a social network is needed, and when they need "to make their voices heard", for example, in group work and discussions. Another challenging situation where a social network is needed is the lunch situation. It is vital that there is a teacher in the classroom who meets the students with care, who listens and understands, has basic knowledge of autism and who adapts according to the student's needs and day-to-day shape. Adaptations that are highlighted by the students as successful are the opportunity for individual tasks, to present in smaller groups and the opportunity to withdraw during the day. These adaptations need to be made in dialogue with the student. These findings imply that schools need routines for students with autism. The routines need to ensure that there is always someone in the organization who has an extra responsibility for the social situation of the student because the social situation of these students is complex and vulnerable. Schools need to work at the organizational level to create an allowing atmosphere; teachers need education in autism and understand the importance of careful treatment.

My God, My God, Why Have You Abandoned Me? : The setting and rhetoric of Mark's Gospel

Incigneri, Brian, res.cand@acu.edu.au January 2001 (has links)
This study proposes that the design of Mark's Gospel is best appreciated by recognising the particular political, social and religious situation that gave rise it, and by taking into account the concerns, experiences and emotions of both the author and the intended readers. It is argued that proposals for an Eastern provenance lack evidence and plausibility, and that the Gospel was written in Rome. The time of writing is identified as the latter months of 71, as the Gospel contains a number of indications that the Jerusalem Temple had been destroyed and that the Triumph of Vespasian and Titus in July/August 71 had recently occurred. Moreover, there are several allusions to events that had occurred within a year or two prior to that date. An investigation of the political and social situation shows that Christians had reason to be fearful, especially after the return of Titus. Through an examination of the rhetorical techniques contained within the text, it is proposed that the Gospel was a response to the protracted suffering of the Christians of Rome, addressing their doubts about God in the face of Roman power, their fear of further executions, and stresses within the community caused by apostasy and betrayal. Paying close attention to the mood of the text, an analysis of Mark's rhetoric shows how it responds to the readers' anxieties (including fear of delation), counters Flavian propaganda, and provides hope and strength. As appeals to the emotions were regarded as a key tool of ancient rhetoric, careful attention is paid to their use throughout the Gospel, showing that Mark produced a text full of pathos, matching the highly stressful atmosphere, and placing the readers' cries for help and prayers into the mouths of characters. In repeatedly stirring the readers' emotions by reminding them of their own painful experiences and by alluding to contemporary events and social attitudes, Mark explains why they are persecuted, and helps them to deal with their fear. He portrays Jesus as the one who had led the way by accepting martyrdom for the gospel in similar circumstances. He shapes many scenes to remind them of their Roman situation, especially the trials and executions of fellow Christians. Mark's rhetorical use of the disciples is also explored, showing that he aimed to elicit sympathy for those who had failed under pressure, which indicates that he was advocating their readmittance into the community. It is proposed that reading the Gospel as rhetoric addressed to this situation provides a quite different view of its nature, design and purposes, and gives a very different perspective to a number of debated issues within Markan scholarship.

This study was motivated from observations about children in early childhood education’s daily in which were realized poor activities experiences and a biological view from educators about the child development. This study has a theoretical basic from the cultural historical theory and the presupposed the social conditions of child development are conditioned by his life situations and education. However, when they are purposely organized, they can promote experiences that conduce to the psychological development. The general aim of this research is identifying and analyzing the children between two and three years old’s social situation of development from experiences in the childhood education. The specific aims are analyzing the objective and subjective conditions that the children between two and three years old experience; reflecting about how these conditions promote the psychological development objectively as well as understanding how the purposely intervention of teachers happens. The first hypothesis is that children development can be enhanced when the social condition of development is identified by recognizing the objective and subjective conditions the activities happens and how these impact the psychological functions in formation. The methods consist in watching and recording the daily of a children group between two and three years old in an early childhood education. While the children related each other, to teacher and to objects available in the room. The results show the children were active when in contact with the objects available in the room, although there was not wide variety of them. In many situations, the not intentional intervention of the teacher hindered the development of the children. The research shows the educators can identify the children’s social situation of development by watching carefully them in order to plan and organize the favorable conditions to the full development. The objective conditions of children’s activity, as well as the teacher’s interventions do not always benefit the expansion of the children potential development. In many cases it was possible to recognize evidences of psychic processes in formation.
