Utvärdering av report writers / Evaluation of report writers

Report writers (sv rapporteringsverktyg) används för att skapa och hantera databasbaserade rapporter. Detta examensarbete handlar om Reporting Services, ett helt nytt rapporteringsverktyg från Microsoft. Syftet med examensarbetet var att utvärdera Reporting Services för att se vad verktyget har att erbjuda i förhållande till rapporteringsverktyg från andra tillverkare. En jämförelse mellan Reporting Services och rapporteringsverktyg från tre andra betydande tillverkare har gjorts. En djupare utvärdering av Reporting Services, där arkitektur, funktionalitet och andra egenskaper gåtts igenom grundligt, har också genomförts. Arbetet har visat att problemet att jämföra olika rapporteringsverktyg med varandra är ganska komplext och att olika verktyg lämpar sig olika bra i olika situationer och kontexter. Verktygens arkitektur skiljer sig åt och de erbjuder olika funktionalitet. Arbetet har också visat att Reporting Services definitivt är ett bra alternativ för företag som använder SQL Server, inte minst ur ekonomisk synvinkel. Verktyget ger användarna en god kontroll över utformningen av rapporter, det är lätt att exportera rapporter till olika format och det finns flera bra möjligheter att distribuera rapporter till läsare.

À l’intersection d’une sociologie des professions et d’une sociologie des œuvres, la thèse se propose de mettre au jour la manière particulière d’Émile Zola de théoriser et mettre en pratique la création littéraire. Le premier moment de ce travail démontre l’intérêt méthodologique d’une analyse de la singularité individuelle et définit le cadre théorique d’une appréhension des créations littéraires soucieuse de saisir dans l’espace littéraire et en amont dans la vie de l’auteur les éléments nécessaires à la compréhension des créations. La seconde partie de ce travail est consacrée à l’analyse des principes structurants des socialisations familiale, amicale et scolaire, puis professionnelle de Zola, qui permettent de rendre raison du besoin d’écrire qui précède et accompagne son immersion dans le jeu littéraire. La troisième partie de ce travail se propose de rendre raison des modes concrets d’engagement de l’écrivain dans l’espace littéraire. Cela suppose de s’intéresser à la manière dont celui-Ci mène sa carrière littéraire. Entrepreneur des lettres et de sa carrière littéraire, ne négligeant aucun terrain d’investissement susceptible de lui procurer un profit matériel, le romancier est pour autant engagé dans une lutte pour la reconnaissance de ses pairs. La quatrième partie examine la façon dont les événements biographiques se donnent à lire, sous des versions retravaillées et transformées, dans les fictions. Nous étudions les thématiques récurrentes dans l’œuvre de fiction, les types de mise en scène, les propriétés des personnages en nous efforçant de mettre en évidence la façon dont ils peuvent exprimer certaines expériences sociales particulières du romancier. / Midway sociology of professions and sociology of art, the thesis aims at uncover the particular way in which Emile Zola theorize and practice literature. The first moment of this work demonstrate the methodological interest of an analysis of individual specificity and defines the theoretical framework of an analysis of literary creations whose purpose is to look at events that have mattered to the author in order to understand his creations. The second part is devoted to the analysis of the structural principles of familial, friendly, educational and professional socialization of Zola that explain his need to write and which precedes and accompanies his immersion in the literary field. The third part of this work intends to describe the concrete mode of commitments in the literary field. That implies taking into account the way he manages his career. Looking for profits, including every activity likely to generate money, Zola is at the same time deeply invested in a struggle for recognition of legitimacy with its peers. The fourth part brings together the structuring features of Zola’s biography and the analysis of the schemes that structure his novels. We study the recurring themes of Zola’s novels, the different types of staging, the social properties of characters by striving to put into relief the way these figures express social experience of the writer.

L’Idiot de la famille est complément de Questions de Méthode. Sartre demande dans Questions de Méthode un changement de langage. Il s’agira dans cette thèse de déchiffrer l’écriture sartrienne en ses nuances, détails et couleurs. En d’autres mots, il s’agira d’étudier les livres de Sartre pour trouver un sens qui nous parle, là où sa parole se contredit et s’affirme en même temps. Notre tâche de relecture dans L’Idiot de la famille est ainsi d’expliciter l’axe central de la psychanalyse existentielle et d’aller chercher le sens le plus caché de la philosophie de la vie. Dans la mesure où Sartre va montrer que nous devons décider du genre de vie que nous voulons avoir, cette étude vise à éclairer pourquoi Sartre est un penseur nécessaire pour l’homme d’aujourd’hui. Il s’agira ainsi de traiter L’Idiot de la famille comme une œuvre d’apprentissage. Dans ce sens, le sens et la signification de notre recherche ne sont pas fermés et continuent ouverts à des nouvelles relectures. Notre principal objectif est aussi bien d’expliciter quel a été le fil conducteur de Sartre pour écrire L’Idiot de la famille que de vérifier si l’essence de l’écrivain peut être définie par ses écritures. Autrement dit, est-ce que les écritures montrent qui est l’auteur en tant qu’homme, ou bien pouvons-nous plutôt voir son double, celui qui parle à sa place et qui devient parole écrite ? / The Fool of the family is complement to the book of philosophy Questions of Method. Timeout i sportjournalistiken : En kvantitativ studie av genus i svensk sportjournalistik / Timeout in sports journalism : A quantitative study of gender in Swedish sports journalism

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka skillnader i hur manliga och kvinnliga idrottsutövare porträtteras i svenska tidningars sportjournalistik, utifrån tre centrala faktorer (1) tidsperspektiv, (2) täckningstal och (3) skribentens kön. Frågeställningar: • Har #metoo påverkat porträtteringen av könen i svenska tidningars sportjournalistik? • Påverkar tidningars täckningstal porträtteringen av könen i svenska tidningars sportjournalistik? • Påverkar skribentens kön porträtteringen av könen i svenska tidningars sportjournalistik? Teorier: Dagordningsteorin, gestaltningsteorin, tystnadsspiralen, medielogik Metod: I denna studie har vi använt oss av metoden kvantitativ innehållsanalys och genomfört undersökningen på två svenska tidningar, Aftonbladet och Nya Wermlands-tidningen. Vi undersökte 80 stycken artiklar, 40 stycken från vardera tidning, inhämtade från den digitala plattformen Retriever. Efter att vi genomfört den kvantitativa innehållsanalysen bearbetades vår data i IBM SPSS Statistics där vi med hjälp av resultatet skapade korstabeller. Genom resultatet analyserade och diskuterade vi fram slutsatser. Slutsats: Inledningsvis kan vi efter vår kvantitativa innehållsanalys dra slutsatsen att manliga idrottsutövare var överrepresenterade medan kvinnliga var underrepresenterade i svenska tidningars sportjournalistik. Vi kan även dra slutsatserna att manliga idrottsutövare gavs större utrymme än kvinnliga i förhållande till ordomfång, bilder och antalet personer som omskrivs. Fortsättningsvis kan vi dra slutsatsen att det skrevs mer om manliga idrottsutövare efter #metoo än vad det gjorde före #metoo. Vi kan också dra slutsatsen att den rikstäckande tidningen (Aftonbladet) och den lokala tidningen (Nya Wermlands-tidningen) skrev mer om manliga idrottsutövare än om kvinnliga. Dock höll den lokala tidningen en mer jämställd rapportering än den rikstäckande. Avslutningsvis kan vi konstatera att manliga skribenter skrev mer om manliga idrottsutövare medan kvinnliga skribenter var mer jämställda i sin rapportering. Däremot är flera av skillnaderna små. Theories: Agenda setting theory, Framing theory, The Spiral of Silence, Media logic Method: In this study we have been using the method quantitative content analysis. We've used this method on two Swedish newspapers; Aftonbladet and Nya Wermlands-tidningen. We’ve examined 80 articles, 40 from each newspaper, collected from the digital platform Retriever. After we collected the data it was processed in IBM SPSS Statistics, where we created cross tabulations. With the result we analysed and discussed our way to a conclusion. Conclusion: Initially we draw the conclusion that male athletes were overrepresented in Swedish newspapers’ sports journalism, while female athletes were underrepresented. We can also draw the conclusions that male athletes were given more space than female athletes seen to word scope, images and the number of people being written about. Further we can draw the conclusion that newspaper wrote more about male athletes after #metoo than they did before #metoo. We can also draw the conclusion that both the nationwide paper (Aftonbladet) and the local paper (Nya Wermlands-tidningen) tended to write more about male athletes than female. Nevertheless the local paper held a more equal reporting than the nationwide. At last we can conclude that male journalists wrote more about male athletes while female journalists were more equal in their reporting. Several of the differences are however small. The starting point of this essay is an attempt to establish if Marika Stjernstedt was present in the French press at the beginning of the XXIth century. If this is the case, how did the newspaper journalists of this period described her personality? Is that in positive or negative terms? What were the main subjects they wrote about? Which of her books or articles have aroused a lot of interest? How did they introduce her and her culture quite unknown at this epoch in France? Have these journalists conveyed the same stereotyped pictures of the North and the Northerners? Or did they replace them with accurate ones?  The analysis is based on eighty-five articles released in the French press between 1914 and 1954. Our principal aim is to show if a famous female Swedish journalist and writer could become a well-known person in a foreign country, using the French language. Because of the sexism we are tempted to think that women were kept out of the celebrity. We assume that some of them were published but their publications were smaller in numbers if we compare them to men’s publications.

[pt] Esta dissertação é o resultado de uma experiência artístico-literária. Buscou-se, no texto, investigar o desejo e o percurso de construção de literatura referente à atuação de um sujeito que desdobra o trabalho intelectual em fabricação artística. Apostou-se, então, na noção de acontecimento para compreender a produção de subjetividade que se manifesta em um primeiro experimento de escrita literária, consequência de um devir-escritor. De modo ficcional, sob a forma de um romance, o espaço do texto foi ocupado por uma escrita criativa de fôlego teórico. Na metaficção produzida, feito a lenda árabe de Sherazade, que narra para não morrer, o narrador-protagonista empenha-se em redescobrir e registrar a história de sua falecida avó, imigrante sírio-libanesa, a fim de que, na condição material da linguagem, ela também não morra. Na trajetória de entraves entre a imprecisão da memória e as artimanhas da imaginação, o personagem, enquanto não encontra a verdadeira história de seus antepassados, vê-se diante de seu primeiro impulso de escrevê-la como se fosse um romance. Entretanto, à medida que conhece os artifícios da escrita artística, depara-se com a relação conflituosa de sua família com o trânsito entre línguas. Assim, com o uso da metalinguagem como estratégia de escrita, buscou-se enfatizar, neste estudo, o desvendamento de um processo narrativo. Nesse contexto, este romance-dissertação constitui-se também como uma pesquisa-intervenção, que enfatiza a operacionalização do pensamento teórico-crítico através da escrita ficcional na contemporaneidade. / [en] This thesis is the result of an artistic-literary experience. In this production, the aim was to investigate the desire and the creation process manifested in a person who develops the intellectual work through the artistic fabrication. In this open space that promotes freedom of creativity, this study is based on the concept of event to understand the production of subjectivity that appears as a first experiment in literary writing, result of a becoming-writer process. Fictionally, in a novel format, the text was built up by a creative writing with a theoretical complexity. In the metafiction, inspired by the arabian legend of Scheherazade, the narrator-protagonist wants to discover and to write down the past of his deceased grandmother, syrian-lebanese immigrant, so that she preserves alive at least in the materiality of literature. In the movement between the imprecise memory and the powerful imagination, while the main character can not find the truth, he decides to write the story of their ancestors as if it was a novel. However, he needs to confront the conflictual relationship of his family with the languages while knows the strategies of artistic writing. Therefore, in this study, the metalanguage was a literary resource used to write about a narrative processes. In addition, this text is a research-intervention that wishes to emphasise the full scope of the theoretical and critical thought through the potency of fiction writing in the contemporaneity.

Writer/Reader Visibility in EFL Writing : A Corpus-based Analysis of Young Swedish Students' Writing Development

This corpus-based study explores writer-reader visibility (WRV) features in the writing by young Swedish learners of English. Specifically, using Petch-Tyson’s (1998) framework, this study examines the use of WRV features in essays written by young Swedish learners in lower and upper secondary school, and compares their use to that of Swedish university-level learners. The findings align with Hasund and Hasselgård’s (2022) observation based on young learners that “the tendency to be visible writers starts early” (p. 19). Yet, as the writing proficiency or experience of this learner population increases, their visibility decreases by relying less on WRV devices. This study contributes to the understanding of how young learners’ use of WRV features in their writing develops and provides insights into writing instructions for young learners of English.
