Olivier, Lydwine 11 1900 (has links)
In the world that has become secular and where the Christian tradition is declining, we are entitled to question the pertinence of the biblical texts. In link with this situation, one can also wonder which representation of God arises depending how one receives these texts. This type of questioning underlies the interest that a Process approach of biblical texts can represent, even though the approach is still not much known in the French-speaking world. Does this approach possesses the ability of bringing some novelty to the vision of God generally offered in the Christian world ? To answer this, it seemed preferable to try the experience from a founding and forerunner text. Genesis 2, known to tell the creation of Adam and Eve, is bearing most stereotypic images by having been read and read, and chewed again. Therefore, seemed to be particularly accurate. But even before exploring the text from a Process angle, it has been proved essential to begin this with a personal translation of the Hebrew text, from and with the help of a syntactic and textual analysis, which as it will be shown, has conducted to open the text to new assumptions of translations and nuances, as so many tracks to be confronted to a Process theology. Finally, this analysis cannot be made without engaging in a dialogue with different commentaries, exegetical or not, in order to underline the convergences as well as the divergences met in the course of the research and of the reflexion.

Cameron-Pesant, Sarah 08 1900 (has links)
The writings of Erasmus of Rotterdam (ca 1466-1536) contributed to many fields such as exegesis, philology and literature. They had a major influence on the history of ideas and on humanist evangelism. Overmore, the "Paraphrases on the New Testament", that were meant to clarify the meaning of Holy Scripture, represent the outcome of all the exegetic work of Erasmus. They participated even more than scholar commentaries to diffuse piety and biblical knowledge among lay people. This explains the great success they gained in the 16th century. The "Paraphrase on Paul’s letter to the Romans" had a special importance in the religious reform context. It was translated from latin language to french in a 1526 manuscript written by Hubert Kerssan, canon of the city of Nivelles, in the Walloon Brabant. Since this translation was probably intended for a private use or at least a limited diffusion, it is still unknown in the area of erasmian studies. For this reason, our project is to make the 1526 manuscript accessible by establishing a critical edition. While doing this editorial work, we compared Kerssan’s translation with Erasmus’ Paraphrase in latin in order to determine in which way it differs from the original. We also investigated the possible reasons it was not published in the humanist context of the 16th century. After five hundred years, the Nivelles manuscript can finally be diffused. We hope that this critical edition contributes to a better understanding the reception and diffusion of Erasmus’ philosophy in french speaking environment all around Europe, as well as to the study of theological and cultural issues that arises from his writings.

Jiftách (Sd 11,29-40) - exegeze a interpretace biblického textu / Jephthah (Jdg 11:29-40) - Explanation and Interpretation of a Particular Biblical Text

Páleník, Dan January 2013 (has links)
This thesis focuses on exegesis and interpretation of Judges 11, 29-40. Main method used in this thesis is narrative analysis, via which I investigate and interpret the chosen text as one story unit in its contemporal form. I focus on the course of action, how and with whom the characters act and what is the meaning of these in the whole narrative. I examine the structure of the text, because it's essential for the story told. I examine the context of the chosen text as well, because it's in the middle of broader narrative about Jephthah, of the book of Judges and of the Old Testament. Behavior and actions of characters, as well as facts used in the story, may have different meanings, which may not be apparent from the text itself. The aim of this thesis is to find one or several interpratiations, which will be based in the text itself and its context as much as possible. That will aslo enable me to deal with other intepratations. In the conclusion, I will shortly speak about text's influence on arts and present several themes for homiletic or pastoral use, which the story presents and contents.

Sociálně- etické aspekty Ježíšova Kázání na hoře / Social- Ethical Aspects of the Jesus's Sermon on the Mount

Ducháč, Jakub January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Social-Ethical Aspects of the Jesus' Sermon on the Mount" reflects on chapters 5 - 7 of Mathew 's Gospel. It is based on the Greek translation of the Gospel and aims to express the supertemporal prehension of Jesus' ethical requirements by a man of any century, meaning by a man of our current days too. The paper verges on biblical studies and practical and spiritual theology. Diploma thesis focuses on relation between Jesus' requirements and ancient Hebrew ethical and social norms described in Torah and updated in Old Testament Prophets' scriptures. This paper shows their cohesion but emphasizes the Jesus original approach which reveals a deeper meaning of all Torah ethical norms and rules. Following the chapters of Sermon on the Mount , it is described how St. Matthew uses this intention . Social and ethical aspects of this text are highlighted and covered by many Old Testament citations which are related to the background of Jesus' Teachings. This paper also describes basic approaches to the Sermon on the Mount interpretation and shows the reader the direction. But no final conclusion of this topic can be made as we have been dealing with the secret.

Spravedlivá Támar: výklad a interpretace Genesis 38 / Righteous Tamar: Exegesis and Interpretation of Genesis 38

Macek, Jan January 2018 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is an exegetical study on chapter thirty-eight of the book Genesis; a narrative of the story about Judah and Tamar. The thesis begins with a critical analysis of the original Hebrew text. In the second section, a critical examination of the text is undertaken using synchronous and diachronous methods, followed by a verse-by-verse commentary which includes three excursuses. The first excursus discusses levirate marriage. The second is concerned with Hebrew word הקדש and with its meaning and translation. The theme of the third excursus is the understanding of righteousness as social solidarity in the Old Testament. Subsequently, in the final section of the thesis, the reception of Genesis 38 in the Old and New Testaments is considered. Furthermore, four examples of reception and interpretation throughout Christian history are presented: The Book of Jubilees, Commentary on Genesis by Ephrem the Syrian, Martin Luther's Lectures on Genesis and an interpretation by Dorothee Sölle as an example of feminism and liberation theology. Lastly, to conclude, the application of the story is proposed, which could serve as a starting point for subsequent theological work.

\'Ele está fora de si\': Discurso Religioso e Linguagem Popular no Evangelho Conforme Marcos / \'He is beside himself\': popular language and religious discourse at gospel according to Mark

Leite, Francisco Benedito 01 August 2019 (has links)
The present doctoring academic research has a way of reading and interpretation of the gospel based on the Gospel of Mark, mainly based on the theories of the Sciencies of Language, which they have their origins in theorical elaborations of Mikhail M. Bakhtin, Erich Auerbach and Northrop Frye, also, this academic research is based on perspectives from new speeches and the plot theory and they have in common the influence of Ernst Cassirer and his philosophy of the symbolical forms. In the thesis, the religious discourse which comes from the ancient world, and which is the object of this research, is studied through the text, and this text is understood as an imediate reality which it is impossible to scrutiny the concrete reality beyond this text. All investigations done based on these theories lead us to the comprehension that the Gospel of Mark is a religious discourse which comes from the popular speech. This study is based on a brief part of its contents (Mk 3.20-35) and this part of the text is called an excerpt and it reveals the symbolic subversion which can be explained by the bakhtinian concept of carnivalization.

Approche polysémique et traductologique du Coran : la sourate XXII (Al-Hajj [le pèlerinage]) comme modèle / Polysemic and translatological approach of the Koran : the Surah XXII (Al-Ḥajj [the pilgrimage]) as a model

Abdel jalil, Mohamed ali 23 November 2017 (has links)
According to Islamic tradition, one of the core characteristics of the Quran is that it is a polysemic text par excellence (ḥammāl dhū wujūh, bearer of several faces). To say that the Quranic text is polysemic implies that its various exegeses are as many possible readings of it, which implies in turn that its translations are also as many readings that complete each other. The accumulation of translations is thus another expression of the polysemy of the original text, even if the diversity of these translations does not match that of the exegeses. The thesis deals with the analysis of the Surah of Al-Ḥajj and it is based on two research axes:I. a study of the polysemy of the original text (Surah of Al-Ḥajj).II. A study of the polysemy of the final text (18 French translations) to show how translation reduces and/or modifies polysemy. The corpus of translations (18 translations) covers all the periods of the history of the translation of the Koran from 1647 until 2010 in order to see the evolution of the translation of the Koranic text.As a closed space that evolves independently from exegesis to more literality, the translations meet and complement each other, reflecting in their diversity with slight modification a large part of the polysemy united and concentrated in the original text but sporadic, sparse and Dispersed in the translations.

Analyse littérale des termes dîn et islâm dans le Coran : dépassement spirituel du religieux et nouvelles perspectives exégétiques / The literal analysis of the terms dîn and islâm in the Qur’ân : beyond religious aspects, and new exegetical perspectives

Moreno, Cyrille 29 September 2016 (has links)
Our research examines from a theoretical and critical point of view the contemporary hermeneutics and shows that all comprehension of a text is not necessarily an interpretation. Our study then models a textual non-hermeneutic approach and the innovative concept of the literal meaning and then proposes a rational methodology called The Literal Analysis of the Qur’ân allowing the intratextual resolution of this literal meaning in Qur’ân by the Qur’ân. This algorithm takes into account the totality of the semantic elements and the intratextual and intertextual relations as well as the limits of involving the latter. We have then made a comprehensive analysis of the key terms dîn and islâm in the Qur’ân. The results radically differ from known productions and, besides the implications on the history of the Qur’ân and its real ties with Islam, they reveal novel paradigms of an inclusive qur’anic theology and a new exegetical perspective.

Sefer Ha'iqqarim : présentation et traduction du premier et du troisième traité / Sefer Ha'iqqarim : presentation and translation of the first and the third treatise

Fraenckel, Naftaly 18 April 2013 (has links)
The Sefer Ha-ʻIqqarim of Joseph Albo which try to determine the basic principles of Judaism is part of a reflection that began with Sadia Gaon, which continued with Maimonides, Gersonides and Crescas Duran. To allow the reader to form his own opinion, we wanted to introduce and translate the work of Joseph Albo. Translating the whole of the Sefer Ha-ʻIqqarim exceeding the framework of our project, we simply translate the first treaty which presents the conception of Joseph Albo on fundamentals and its reduction to three fundamental principles which are the belief in the existence of God, the belief in a divine revelation, and the belief in retribution. The three following treaties being only a deepening of the first, we have translated an additional chapter to see and understand how Joseph Albo develops the theme already opened in the first treaty. This is the third treaty that develops the second fundamental principle of belief in the divine revelation.

A Lectura super Mattheum de Pedro de João Olivi (ca.1248-1298): a study on the interpretation of the Gospel according to Matthew chapter 16, and its implications for the theory of plenitudo potestatis papalis

Lima, Marinalva Silveira 02 August 2011 (has links)
The goal masters dissertation is the analysis of Franciscan Peter John Olivis biblical comment named Lectura super Matthaeum (comment under Matthew), chapter 16. We propose to understand the method of interpretation and analysis adopted by Olivi, as well as his themes, like his perspectives about the Church of Rome, his criticism about the Franciscan Order, and the absolute papal governments doctrine. For, we search to identify if that doctrine appears and how it happens in our main source of study, and to show by which means his ideas contributed to put in check the ecclesiastical structure. We propose, also, to verify by which manner the thesis developed by Olivi conducted to a real need of reformulation of the plenitudo potestatis papalis.
