Scenanalys - Övervakning och modellering

Ali, Hani, Sunnergren, Pontus January 2021 (has links)
Autonomous vehicles can decrease traffic congestion and reduce the amount of traffic related accidents. As there will be millions of autonomous vehicles in the future, a better understanding of the environment will be required. This project aims to create an external automated traffic system that can detect and track 3D objects within a complex traffic situation to later send these objects’ behavior for a larger-scale project that manages to 3D model the traffic situation. The project utilizes Tensorflow framework and YOLOv3 algorithm. The project also utilizes a camera to record traffic situations and a Linux operated computer. Using methods commonly used to create an automated traffic management system was evaluated. The final results show that the system is relatively unstable and can sometimes fail to recognize certain objects. If more images are used for the training process, a more robust and much more reliable system could be developed using a similar methodology.

Practical Real-Time with Look-Ahead Scheduling

Roitzsch, Michael 19 September 2013 (has links)
In my dissertation, I present ATLAS — the Auto-Training Look-Ahead Scheduler. ATLAS improves service to applications with regard to two non-functional properties: timeliness and overload detection. Timeliness is an important requirement to ensure user interface responsiveness and the smoothness of multimedia operations. Overload can occur when applications ask for more computation time than the machine can offer. Interactive systems have to handle overload situations dynamically at runtime. ATLAS provides timely service to applications, accessible through an easy-to-use interface. Deadlines specify timing requirements, workload metrics describe jobs. ATLAS employs machine learning to predict job execution times. Deadline misses are detected before they occur, so applications can react early.:1 Introduction 2 Anatomy of a Desktop Application 3 Real Simple Real-Time 4 Execution Time Prediction 5 System Scheduler 6 Timely Service 7 The Road Ahead Bibliography Index

An On-orbit Calibration Procedure for Spaceborne Microwave Radiometers Using Special Spacecraft Attitude Maneuvers

Farrar, Spencer 01 January 2015 (has links)
This dissertation revisits, develops, and documents methods that can be used to calibrate spaceborne microwave radiometers once in orbit. The on-orbit calibration methods discussed within this dissertation can provide accurate and early results by utilizing Calibration Attitude Maneuvers (CAM), which encompasses Deep Space Calibration (DSC) and a new use of the Second Stokes (SS) analysis that can provide early and much needed insight on the performance of the instrument. This dissertation describes pre-existing and new methods of using DSC maneuvers as well as a simplified use of the SS procedure. Over TRMM's 17 years of operation it has provided invaluable data and has performed multiple CAMs over its lifetime. These maneuvers are analyzed to implement on-orbit calibration procedures that will be applied for future missions. In addition, this research focuses on the radiometric calibration of TMI that will be incorporated in the final processing (Archive/Legacy of the NASA TMI 1B11 brightness temperature data product). This is of importance since TMI's 17-year sensor data record must be vetted of all known calibration errors so to provide the final stable data for science users, specifically, climatological data records.

Assosiasie en koördinasie van notasie met klawers by die ontwikkeling van 'n leesvermoë by die klavierbeginner

Hesse, Maria Elizabetha 30 November 2005 (has links)
The study substantiates common strategies and theories regarding the teaching of sight-reading. The literature study done on sight-reading at the keyboard consists of opinions and recommendations resulting from empirical findings of well-known piano pedagogues. Seven beginner courses were analysed in order to assess their presentation of a well-structured development of piano sight-reading against the opinions and recommendations of well-known piano pedagogues and authors in this field as well as the personal experience of the researcher. During this process it was discovered that insufficient attention was paid to the development of the association between a note symbol and its corresponding key on the piano. However no attention was paid to the act of playing while reading ahead. The researcher compiled additional progressive exercises for the 7 to 9 year old beginner, to address the above-mentioned discrepancies. The exercises and their individual purposes are clearly explained with instructions regarding their performance. / Art History, Visual Arts & Music / M.A. (Musicology)

Stephen Poliakoff: Another Icon of Contemporary British Drama

Idrissi, Nizar 01 February 2008 (has links)
This thesis is an attempt to portray the birth of British modern drama and the most important figures breaking its new ground; more to the point, to shed light on the second generation of British dramatists breaking what G.B. Shaw used to call ‘middle-class morality’. The focal point here is fixed on Stephen Poliakoff, one of the distinctive dramatists in contemporary British theatre, his work and the dramatic tinge he adds to the new drama.

Hodnocení kvality bezlepkových potravin se zaměřením na pečivo / Quality assessment of gluten-free foods with a focus on pastries

ZIMMELOVÁ, Helena January 2019 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is the production of gluten-free bread from naturally gluten-free flour, which will be enriched with suitable additives that will increase antioxidant activity and naturally effect on the structure of the pastry, so it will meet the sensory requirements of final consumers. The literary part define, which proteins can be found in cereals, what does the gluten means, its function in the pastry and which diseases can cause. In connection with these diseases, a gluten-free diet for improving the patient's health and suitable foodstuff are briefly described. The literary part is concluded with the theory of sensory evaluation. The practical part deals with the production of naturally gluten-free breads enriched with ingredients from kitchen onions (Allium cepa L.) and subsequent sensory evaluation of this bread. Selected statistical procedures were used to obtain, processed and evaluated data. Antioxidant activity was also monitored and evaluated. By using texture-meter was find out, what effect has additives on aging of gluten-free bread.

Object Detection in Domain Specific Stereo-Analysed Satellite Images

Grahn, Fredrik, Nilsson, Kristian January 2019 (has links)
Given satellite images with accompanying pixel classifications and elevation data, we propose different solutions to object detection. The first method uses hierarchical clustering for segmentation and then employs different methods of classification. One of these classification methods used domain knowledge to classify objects while the other used Support Vector Machines. Additionally, a combination of three Support Vector Machines were used in a hierarchical structure which out-performed the regular Support Vector Machine method in most of the evaluation metrics. The second approach is more conventional with different types of Convolutional Neural Networks. A segmentation network was used as well as a few detection networks and different fusions between these. The Convolutional Neural Network approach proved to be the better of the two in terms of precision and recall but the clustering approach was not far behind. This work was done using a relatively small amount of data which potentially could have impacted the results of the Machine Learning models in a negative way.

Critical reflection on the subject and subjectivity in the contemporary context from the thought of Theodor Adorno, specifically in its negative dialectic with the focus on the question of knowledge and barbarism. The primacy of the object as indicative of a new epistemological conception, required to open real emancipatory possibilities of the subject in the administered world. The critical and conscious subject of its determinations, limits and possibilities in late capitalist societies, presents itself as one cultivates his inner self and individuality as opposed a self referentialityand the individualism of liberal subject, and maintains a contemplative, reflective and resilient look in winning its freedom in the midst of false freedom promoted by the culture industry, being ethically sensitive and supportive with the pain and suffering of others and of nature, and thus becomes an artist and protagonist of a new time.
