[pt] A Mensagem Cristã, expressa nas Sagradas Escrituras, é portadora de uma concepção unitária e integral da pessoa humana, como também da relação fé e vida. O dualismo pastoral, entendido como a dicotomia entre fé e vida, que penetrou na ação evangelizadora da Igreja, permanece nela até nossos dias. Na América Latina e Caribe foram grandes e profundas as consequências desse dualismo para a vida do povo e das culturas. As Conferências Episcopais realizadas neste Continente, fiéis à Mensagem Cristã, são garantidoras da concepção integral e unitária do ser humano e da ação evangelizadora da Igreja. A evangelização integral é a resposta a questão do dualismo pastoral. A Nova Evangelização para a América Latina e Caribe só poderá ser entendida na perspectiva de uma evangelização integral, imperativo para a Igreja e todos os seus Seguimentos Pastorais. / [en] The Christian message, expressed in Sacred Scriptures, is the bearer of a unitary and integral conception of the human person, but also of faith and life. Pastoral dualism, understood as the dichotomy between faith and life, they penetrated the Church s evangelising activity, remains in it until our days. In the Latin America and Caribbean were large and deep the consequences of this dualism to the life of the people and cultures. The Episcopal Conferences held on this continent, faithful to the Christian message, are guaranteed full and unitary conception of the human being and of the Church s evangelizing action. The integral evangelization is to answer the question of pastoral dualism. The new evangelization for the Latin America and Caribbean can only be understood from the perspective of a integral evangelization, imperative for the Church and all its Pastoral Segments.

[pt] O Movimento Pentecostal é o ramo mais representativo do protestantismo brasileiro atual. É um Movimento que, historicamente, tem se comunicado com as classes menos favorecidas da sociedade brasileira e tem sido um Movimento Pneumatológico e Eclesial importante no cenário religioso hodierno. No Pentecostalismo, assim como no cristianismo ocidental em geral, a presença do dualismo tem sido um fator de distanciamento da proposta de Jesus e de distorções acerca da espiritualidade. O pensamento do teólogo suíço Karl Barth é um sistema de reflexão que trabalha com pontos muito parecidos com os do Pentecostalismo brasileiro, como a Pneumatologia, a Eclesiologia, a Espiritualidade, etc, porém, no pensamento barthiano percebemos os mesmos elementos sendo compreendidos de modo integral, num caminho de superação das distorções e aproximação da santidade proposta por Jesus de Nazaré. / [en] The Pentecostal Movement is the most representative branch of present-day Brazilian Protestantism. It s a Movement that has historically communicated with the less favored classes of brazilian society and has been an important Pneumatological and Ecclesial Movement in today s religious scene. In Pentecostalism, as in Western Christianity in general, the presence of dualism has been a distancing factor from Jesus proposal and distortions about spirituality. The thought of the Swiss theologian Karl Barth is a system of reflection that works with points very similar to those of Brazilian Pentecostalism, such as Pneumatology, Ecclesiology, Spirituality, etc. However, in Barthian thought we perceive the same elements being understood integrally, in a way of overcoming the distortions and approach of holiness proposed by Jesus of Nazareth.

[pt] O trabalho caracteriza o dualismo no protestantismo brasileiro. Com base na análise da vida e obra Dietrich Bonhoeffer apresenta estratégias capazes de iluminar a prática da Igreja Batista no país. Primeiramente apresenta- se o problema que instigou a pesquisa: os efeitos prejudiciais do dualismo para a propagação do Evangelho. Afirma-se, também, a necessidade de uma visão integrada do ser humano que resulte em prática e teologia que considerem a inseparabilidade entre mística (vida voltada para o transcendente) e militância (vida inserida e atuante no mundo). Em seguida, trata-se do processo e estratégias pedagógicas de penetração dualista no cristianismo e da formação da teologia e da doutrina batista brasileira. Por fim, o estudo da reflexão teológica e experiência pessoal de Bonhoeffer, procura extrair maneiras de articular as dimensões espiritual e prática da vida cristã e de, assim, informar maneiras renovadas de um proceder cristão que supere o dualismo. Desse estudo, cinco pontos foram tomados como pistas para essa superação: o amor a Deus e ao próximo; a inserção da Igreja no mundo; a Igreja tomada como comunidade viva; a visão ecumênica e a dimensão ética da fé. / [en] This work characterizes dualism in Brazilian Protestantism. Based on an analysis of the life and works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, it presents strategies able to shine some light on the practice of the Brazilian Baptist Church in the country. Firstly, the research problem is presented: the harmful effects of dualism on the spread of the Gospel. The need for an integrated perspective of the human being, one that results in a practice and a theology that consider the inseparability between mysticism (life oriented to the transcendent) and militancy (life inserted and active in the world), is also affirmed. Next, the process and pedagogical strategies through which dualism penetrated Christianity and the formation of Brazilian Baptist theology and doctrine are discussed. Finally, the study of the theological reflection and personal experience of Bonhoeffer aims at gathering ways to articulate spiritual and practical dimensions of Christian life and, therefore, at offering renewed forms of Christian practice that surpass dualism. Out of this study five suggestions are given for overcoming dualism: love for God and the neighbor, insertion of the church in the world, the church taken as a living community, ecumenical vision, and, the ethical dimension of faith.

[pt] A partir do Enativismo, perspectiva filosófica emergente no campo das ciências da mente, este trabalho investigou a dimensão cognitiva pertinente à Educação Ambiental (EA) no Brasil. Para tanto, foi desenvolvida uma leitura analítica e crítica do livro Mind in Life, de Evan Thompson, e posterior articulação de conceitos com o objetivo de questionar as premissas em cognição predominantes na EA no Brasil. Para tal, fiz um recorte de autoras brasileiras que discutem cognição em EA, destacando seus principais argumentos, e busquei explicitar os conceitos do Enativismo que julguei mais relevantes para o diálogo. Fiz uma sobreposição entre as autoras brasileiras e Thompson, indicando aproximações e afastamentos. Saliento que, investigando sobre cognição, encontrei as dicotomias humano/natureza, cultura/natureza e cognição/emoção apontadas como algo a ser revisto e superado em EA bem como o Antropocentrismo. Encontrei no Enativismo um arcabouço teórico denso e satisfatório para superar tais obstáculos. Como parte final, encontrei em Ailton Krenak, filósofo e indígena, uma fala que aponta na mesma direção. Buscando aplicar as descobertas em algo mais concreto, fiz uma releitura dos princípios orientadores em EA no Brasil. / [en] Based on the Enactive approach, an emergent philosophical perspective in the field of sciences of the mind, this work investigated the cognitive dimension pertinent to Environmental Education (EE) in Brazil. To this end, an analytical and critical reading of the book Mind in Life, by Evan Thompson, was undertaken and, subsequently, concepts were articulated in order to question the cognitive assumptions prevalent in EE in Brazil. In this regard, I selected Brazilian authors who discuss cognition in EE, highlighting their main arguments, aiming to explain the concepts of Enactivism that I found most relevant to the dialogue. I developed an analysis of the overlap between the Brazilian authors and Thompson, indicating approximations and differences. I found that, investigating cognition, the dichotomies human / nature, culture / nature and cognition / emotion, as well as Anthropocentrism, need to be reviewed and overcome in EE. I found in Enactivism a dense and satisfactory theoretical framework for overcoming such obstacles. Finally, I found in Ailton Krenak, philosopher and indigenous writer, a point of view that points in the same direction. Seeking to apply the findings to something more concrete, I reinterpreted the guiding principles in EE in Brazil.

[pt] O protestantismo brasileiro, de uma forma geral, orgulha-se de ser contracultural. Orgulha-se de estar dentro de um cativeiro cultural impossibilitado de dialogar com outras áreas do saber e principalmente com a ciência moderna. Este trabalho quer mostrar as raízes e o desenvolvimento de um discurso anti-intelectual marcante no protestantismo brasileiro que o impede de ser relevante diante das demandas do tempo presente. Ao olhar para a antiga modernidade, pode-se identificar o mergulho que a humanidade fez em direção ao racionalismo, ao cientificismo exagerado, que guiado pelo viés positivista fez com que o homem se enxergasse totalmente separado de tudo e de todos. No meio religioso se evidencia a briga entre Fé e razão. Porém um dos contornos nítidos do paradigma atual é que a briga entre a religião e a ciência, entre a Fé e a Razão merece morrer. Infelizmente, dentro do protestantismo brasileiro ainda se escuta ecos fortes desse conflito que a modernidade fez explodir. E dentro do protestantismo, no lugar da denúncia do indevido uso da Razão, aconteceu a exclusão completa da mesma. No Brasil, um protestantismo guiado por um emocionalismo puro e por uma espiritualidade que não enxerga o mundo e suas mudanças, persiste em fazer morada dentro das diversas igrejas protestantes. Um olhar para o passado tentando entender as origens e o desenvolvimento desse problema é essencial para a superação do mesmo. É exatamente nisto que esta pesquisa propõe-se a ajudar. / [en] Brazilian Protestantism, in general, prides itself on being countercultural. It prides itself on being in a cultural captivity unable to dialogue with other areas of knowledge and especially with modern science. This work intends to show the roots and the development of a striking anti-intellectual discourse in Brazilian Protestantism that prevents it from being relevant in face of the demands of the present time. When looking at the ancient modernity, one can identify the plunge that humanity made towards rationalism, to exaggerated scientism, which, guided by the positivist bias, made man see himself totally separated from everything and everyone. In the religious milieu, the fight between Faith and reason is evident. However, one of the clear contours of the current paradigm is that the fight between religion and science, between Faith and Reason, deserves to die. Unfortunately, within Brazilian Protestantism, one can still hear strong echoes of this conflict that modernity has caused to explode. And within Protestantism, instead of denouncing the misuse of Reason, it was completely excluded. In Brazil, a Protestantism guided by pure emotionalism and a spirituality that does not see the world and its changes, persists in making a home within the various Protestant churches. A look at the past trying to understand the origins and development of this problem is essential to overcome it. This is exactly where this research is intended to help.

[pt] Esta pesquisa centra-se no estudo da soteriologia tradicional ensinada pelo protestantismo brasileiro de missão. Busca-se desenvolver o tema a partir da percepção dualista presente nesta soteriologia, bem como a concepção a-histórica da mesma e apresenta como contraponto a teologia Moltmanniana. O trabalho se desenvolve em três capítulos que buscam estruturar esta dissertação: No primeiro, descreve-se a pós-modernidade na visão de Zygmunt Bauman e a herança teológica herdada pelo protestantismo brasileiro de missão; no segundo, desenvolve-se a observação da crise de modelo soteriológico dualista presente na teologia tradicional protestante e no terceiro, a apresentação da teologia Moltmanniana na prática de um seguimento de Cristo e da Missão Integral, propondo uma visão que envolva o ser humano em sua integralidade. / [en] This research focuses on the critical study of soteriology traditionally taught by Brazilian Protestantism focused on Mission. We seek to develop this critique from the dualistic perception present in this soteriology as well as ahistorical conception of it. Moltmanniana theology is presented as a counterpoint. The work is developed in three chapters that seek to structure this thesis: In the first chapter, it is described the postmodern vision of Zygmunt Bauman and theological heritage inherited by Brazilian Protestantism focused on Mission. In the second, it is developed the observation of the dualistic soteriological model crisis in traditional Protestant theology. Finally, the third chapter presents Moltmanniana theology in a practical way concerning concepts of Following Christ and Integral Mission, proposing a vision that involves the human being in his entirety.

[pt] A antropologia teológica busca focalizar o ser humano e suas dimensões a partir da realidade da fé em Jesus Cristo. Com interesse especial nessa busca, nos propomos, dentro de uma ótica sistemático-pastoral, investigar a possibilidade de superação do problema conhecido como dualismo antropológico no interior do movimento pentecostal brasileiro, a partir da caracterização de suas representações mais influentes no cenário nacional atualmente, tanto do chamado pentecostalismo clássico, como do neopentecostalismo. Para a análise de conceituação e identificação do dualismo, e ainda para o critério de assimilação da antropologia teológica de integração, oposta ao dualismo, toma-se como principal referência teórica a obra do teólogo espanhol radicado no Brasil, Alfonso García Rubio, dada a sua relevância e experiência no assunto em questão. Com isto, pretendemos chegar ao fim da pesquisa oferecendo uma perspectiva não somente teórica, mas principalmente prática, para o segmento cristão estudado, a fim de que se perceba sua possibilidade real de superação do dualismo constatado. / [en] The theological anthropology seeks to focus on the human being and its dimensions from the reality of faith in Jesus Christ. With special interest in this search, we propose, within a systematic and pastoral perspective, investigating the possibility of overcoming the problem knows as anthropological dualism within the Brazilian Pentecostal movement, from the characterization of its most influential representatives in the national scene today, both the so-called classical Pentecostalism as the neo-Pentecostalism. For the analysis of the concepts and identification of dualism, and yet for the criterion of assimilation of theological anthropology integration, as opposed to dualism is taken as main theoretical reference work by the Spanish theologian living in Brazil, Alfonso García Rubio, given its relevance and experience in the subject matter. With this, we aim to get to the end of the research offering not only theoretical, but mostly practical perspective for the Christian segment studied in the order to realize who your real chance of overcoming the dualism found.

[pt] A Tese intitulada Felicidade e Teologia: traços para uma reconciliação busca fundamentar o diálogo entre o desejo de felicidade que atravessa o coração humano e a reflexão teológica. Para isto, a partir do advento da modernidade, delimita a construção e a influência do conceito de felicidade na sociedade, verificando suas possíveis implicações na vida do indivíduo contemporâneo e a consequente ruptura com o discurso religioso. Ao analisar a relação constituída entre o cristianismo e o anseio de felicidade, a pesquisa discorre sobre o influxo de uma determinada compreensão antropológica que, fundamentada por uma ótica negativa, determina certo distanciamento do discurso teológico acerca da possibilidade de uma vida feliz e incide na manutenção de uma constante desconfiança diante da realidade humana. No interior deste discurso torna-se perceptível a presença de uma leitura deturpada do pecado original e condicionada por um subterrâneo – e perigoso – dualismo. Para superar este cenário de desconfiança e sedimentar os traços que possibilitem a reconciliação entre a possibilidade de ser feliz e a reflexão teológica, a tese reflete sobre o anúncio do Reino de Deus realizado por Jesus de Nazaré e suas consequências para o pensamento teológico e, por conseguinte, para as relações humanas. Assim, a pesquisa procura demonstrar que o ser humano, constantemente situado sob a égide do infinito, descobre sua felicidade ao assumir os riscos que brotam de uma existência relacional, solidária e fecunda. / [en] The dissertation entitled Happiness and Theology: traces for reconciliation seeks to justify the dialogue between theology and the desire for happiness that pierces human hearts. To do so, the research delimits, from the advent of modernity, the construction and influence of the concept of happiness in our society, verifying its possible implications in the life of the contemporary individual and the consequent rupture with religious discourse. Analyzing the relationship established between Christianity and the desire for happiness, the research discusses the influence of a certain anthropological understanding that, based on a negative perspective, determines a certain distance from the theological discourse about the possibility of a happy life and focuses on the maintenance of constant mistrust in the face of human reality. Within this discourse, the presence of an original sin interpretation that is distorted and conditioned by an underground - and dangerous - dualism becomes perceptible. To overcome this scenario of mistrust and to consolidate the traits that enable the reconciliation between the possibility of being happy and theological reflection, the dissertation reflects on the announcement of the Kingdom of God carried out by Jesus of Nazareth and its consequences for theological thought and, therefore, for human relations. Thus, the research seeks to demonstrate that the human being, constantly situated under the aegis of the infinite, discovers his/her happiness by taking the risks that arise from a relational, solidary, and fruitful existence.

[pt] A tese discute a relação entre as dimensões cúltica e sociopolítica da fé cristã, expressas no itinerário histórico das Assembleias de Deus no Brasil, à luz do enfrentamento do dualismo antropológico, em vista de sua necessária superação. O trabalho de pesquisa empreendeu uma releitura teológica das formas com que a denominação em foco desenvolveu suas expressões de fé no campo religioso brasileiro. A pesquisa também avaliou a participação dessa Igreja na esfera pública, identificando, nesse contexto, uma instrumentalização tanto do culto quanto da política. Assim, tal instrumentalização satisfaz algumas lógicas que carregam a marca do dualismo. Portanto, nossa investigação apresenta uma proposta de articulação integrada entre as dimensões descritas, compreendendo o processo de superação do dualismo como discernimento e consequência prática da ação do Espírito Santo na Igreja. Nesse sentido, delineia-se o caminho teológico para uma experiência pentecostal integrada. / [en] The thesis discusses the relationship between the cultic and the sociopolitical dimensions of the Christian faith, expressed in the historical itinerary of the Assemblies of God in Brazil, in the light of the confrontation of anthropological dualism, in view of its necessary overcoming. The research work undertook a theological rereading of the ways in which the denomination in focus developed expressions of Christian faith in the Brazilian religious field. The research also evaluated this specific Church s participation in the public sphere. We identified in this context an instrumentalization of both worship and politics. Thus, such instrumentalization satisfies some of the logics that carry the mark of dualism. Therefore, our research presents a proposal for an integrated articulation between the described dimensions, including the process of overcoming dualism as a discernment and practical consequence of the action of the Holy Spirit in the Church. In this sense, the theological path to an integrated Pentecostal experience is delineated.

[pt] A pesquisa trata da relação entre ser humano e natureza. O paradigma moderno a entende de forma a constituir seu dualismo básico fundante, havendo completa ruptura e dissociação entre ambos. Percorrem-se as crises advindas dessa cisão radical tanto do ponto de vista ecológico, quanto subjetivo. Após, uma análise sobre a emergência de um paradigma holístico e transdisciplinar é observada, e a partir desses novos horizontes epistemológicos surgem os aqui chamados saberes emergentes. Esta denominação se refere aos novos saberes ecológicos: Ecologia Profunda, Ecofeminismo e Ecologia Social. Tais saberes entendem que o homem e a natureza estão intrinsecamente conectados em uma teia de interligações, inaugurando uma nova visão de mundo mais acolhedora e baseada no cuidado. Para aprofundar o tema, há a proposta de análise das comunidades sustentáveis como materializadoras dos pressupostos dos novos saberes emergentes, incluindo a teorização de Donald Winnicott sobre a atualização do verdadeiro self. / [en] The research deals with the relationship between humans and nature. The modern paradigm to understand so as to constitute its founding basic dualism, with complete rupture and dissociation between them. Crises arising from this radical split both from an ecological point of view, and subjective to run. After an analysis of the emergence of a holistic and interdisciplinary paradigm is observed, and from these new epistemological horizons arise here called emerging knowledge. This name refers to the new ecological knowledge: Deep Ecology, ecofeminism and Social Ecology. This knowledge understand that man and nature are intrinsically connected in a web of interconnections, inaugurating a new vision of more welcoming world and based care. To deepen the theme, there is a proposal for analysis of sustainable communities as materializadoras the assumptions of the emerging new knowledge, including the theory of Donald Winnicott about updating the true self.
