[en] DESIGN AND ART DIRECTION: TEACHING WITH THE ART DIRECTION TAROT / [pt] DESIGN E DIREÇÃO DE ARTE: ENSINANDO COM O TARÔ DA DIREÇÃO DE ARTEANDRE WELLER 16 August 2022 (has links)
[en] This research starts from the understanding of Art Direction as a multidisciplinary
area of knowledge capable of planning, designing and constructing visualities for
both narrative works and environments. It aims to contribute to the teaching of Art
Direction in an expanded way, as a Design process. In this project perspective, there
are a number of intersections in the field between Design and Art Direction. A
reflection on the role of the Designer and the Art Direction as agents of space
transformation and users of systematic processes is elaborated in the research. The
focus of the study is on the learning process of students of Art Direction. Its object
of study is an own and unprecedented Art Direction teaching methodology
developed by the research author, the Art Direction Tarot, in which students learn
and elaborate their projects in a playful way, through a dynamic with letters. In the
dynamics, letters drawn by the students provide the indication of a specific
environment with spatial and temporal cut, and the student is then encouraged to
develop a visual universe appropriate to the situation, exercising his creativity and
his look at the Art Direction. Based on a theoretical study, the analysis of the
experience of applying this developed practice and interviews with students and
professionals in the areas involved, the intention is to discuss the Tarot
methodology of Art Direction, as well as evaluating news possibilities of in other
contexts.

[en] HIGHER EDUCATION AND ITS CONTRADICTIONS: THE CHALLENGES FOR STUDENTS TO GRADUATE / [pt] O ENSINO SUPERIOR E SUAS CONTRADIÇÕES: OS DESAFIOS PARA OS ESTUDANTES CONCLUÍREM A GRADUAÇÃODANIELE DOS SANTOS VITORINO 22 February 2021 (has links)
[en] This research sought to understand the phenomenon of evasion under the modalities of abandonment and locking the enrollment of students at a community institution of higher education. In order to carry out the investigation, three instruments of analysis were used, namely: historical data of enrollments carried out, abandonment and locking of enrollment provided by the researched institution, covering the period between 1995 and 2019; the responses to a questionnaire requested from each student who chose to close the enrollment between 2014 and 2019. And, to better understand the motivations that make it difficult to stay at the university, we used a semi-structured interview with nine students who declared that they had thought about quitting the university at some point during the course. With the results, we observed that the dropout process, although inherent to higher education, not always related to students failure or abandonment. We observed that the adaptation process requires students to have a series of skills, from adjusting expectations to courses to socializing skills and looking for ways to feel that they belong to the universe of academia. The investigation leads us to the conclusion that an institution s planning regarding the adjustment of students to university life can be configured as an important factor in the decision of the incoming student between leaving or staying at the university.

[pt] ASPECTOS DA INSERÇÃO E DO ENSINO DA SOCIOLOGIA NA ESCOLA NORMAL DO DISTRITO FEDERAL, FUTURO INSTITUTO DE EDUCAÇÃO (1928-1936) / [en] ASPECTS OF THE INSERTION AND TEACHING OF SOCIOLOGY AT THE ESCOLA NORMAL DO DISTRITO FEDERAL, FUTURE INSTITUTO DE EDUCAÇÃO (1928-1936)VICTORIA GUIMARAES SOUZA 07 June 2021 (has links)
[en] The present study aims to identify and analyze some historical aspects of the school discipline Sociology, from 1928 to 1936, at the Escola Normal do Distrito Federal, currently the Instituto Superior de Educação do Rio de Janeiro (ISERJ), at the time it was introduced in the curriculum, through the reform undertaken by Fernando de Azevedo in 1928, and his path in the early years, after the changes that occurred with the ownership of Anísio Teixeira in the Directorate of Public Instruction in 1931, when the School became the Instituto de Educação . To achieve this purpose, the methodology used was the documentary analysis of the different sources of the studied period, with emphasis on those from the collection of the Centro de Memória da Educação Brasileira, located at ISERJ. The main theoretical framework adopted was the English tradition of the History of School Disciplines, having as reference the work of Ivor Goodson, who understands curriculum as a political, social process and, therefore, it is not possible to understand it as pure, decontextualized knowledge. It was possible to analyze the programs of the Sociology and Educational Sociology disciplines, relating them to the educational movements and theories in vogue in the 1920s and 1930s.

[en] ANÍSIO TEIXEIRA AND THE TEACHING OF THE ART: PERCEPTIONS FROM THE SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOLS IN 1930 / [pt] ANÍSIO TEIXEIRA E O ENSINO DA ARTE: PERCEPÇÕES A PARTIR DAS ESCOLAS TÉCNICAS SECUNDÁRIAS DE 1930IZABELA MAGALHAES ALVES DE SOUZA MONTEIRO DE BARROS 14 June 2021 (has links)
[en] The theme of this dissertation is Anísio Teixeira s concepts about the role of the art in teaching. In assuming the post as the Public Instruction Director in the Federal District in 1931, Anísio Teixeira promoted a wide-ranging reform, with big changes, including the creation of the Secondary Technical Schools. These schools were created to eliminate the dualism existed until then in the educational system, enlarging not only the access to secondary education, but also the content of general culture in this segment. The motivation to the studying of the teaching of art arises because of the permanent necessity of reaffirming and recognizing the importance of this area of knowledge. In order to identify and analyse the proposals of the teaching of the art in those schools, a new documental and historical research was developed, by means of finding and analysing documents and data in private collections and journals, besides bibliographic research. From the identification of programs, interlocutions and influences which determine the way the subject is developed in the period and the segment studied, there was a wide temporal cut to better understand his thought and action. Some moments of the formation of the educator in the late 1920 s,as well as some aspects of his performance in the Education and Health Secretary of Bahia (from 1947 to 1951),which confirmed his relationship with the art and the culture, emphasized by the proposal from the Carneiro Ribeiro Educational Center. In this Center, Anísio promoted integral education in which those two elements were fundamental components of the educational project. After the proposed analysis, it was possible to assume that, all over his life, Anísio Teixeira sought for the improvement of the teaching of the art, just as to implement this subject to the curriculum of secondary education, because he believed that the art was indissociable from all the educational process.

[pt] EDUCAÇÃO PELO FAZER: REFLEXÕES SOBRE DESIGN E ENSINO MAKER REMOTO EM UM MUNDO COMPLEXO / [en] LEARNING-BY-DOING: REFLECTIONS ABOUT DESIGN AND REMOTE MAKER EDUCATION IN A COMPLEX WORLDLISANDRA RODRIGUEZ PEREIRA 31 March 2022 (has links)
do ensino remoto. A pesquisa qualitativa envolveu revisão bibliográfica e documental
Anderson (2012), Dale Dougherty (2012) e Mark Hatch (2014). Dentre as premissas,
aprendizagem criativa e participativa a distância. / [en] This master thesis presents reflections on Maker Education (EM) in the
light of Design practices, as a contribution to deal with the demands and
complexities of teaching-learning processes in contemporary times. The
emergence of an atypical scenario of social isolation resulting from the pandemic
COVID-19, brought a new context to the pedagogical practices of the maker and
consequently to this research, requiring that this active methodology could also
be analyzed from the perspective of remote education. The qualitative research
involved bibliographic and documentary reviews, besides a participant
observation. First, definitions and maker premises were raised and founded based
on authors specialized in the theme, such as Chris Anderson (2012), Dale
Dougherty (2012) and Mark Hatch (2014). Among the premises, practical
learning through projects made it possible to establish connections between EM
and Design, indicating relevant practices for the development of skills and
competences for the 21st century. Three documents that discuss the pillars and
perspectives for contemporary education are analyzed. In order to conduct a
reflection on the repercussions of EM in practice, two teaching-learning
situations were observed and reported: experiences of remote maker classes in a
private school and a participant observation in a hands-on project for public
schools, both aimed at elementary education. Based on the articulation between
the ideas of the authors studied and the data collected, reported and interpreted,
reflections are elaborated and a proposal to redesign the remote maker experience
is presented as a contribution to creative and participative learning at distance.

[pt] DIFERENÇAS HUMANAS NO TEMPO E ESCOLA SEM PARTIDO: NARRATIVAS DO PASSADO PARA UM ENSINO DE HISTÓRIA NEOCONSERVADOR / [en] HUMAN DIFFERENCES IN TIME AND UNPARTISAN SCHOOL: NARRATIVES OF THE PAST FOR A NEOCONSERVATIVE HISTORY TEACHINGCAIO MATHEUS DE FREITAS GARCIA 22 March 2022 (has links)
compiladas no site manifestam o caráter reativo do neoconservadorismo brasileiro,
sociedade brasileira. / [en] The Unpartisan School movement (Escola sem Partido, EsP)
movement, founded in 2004 with an ideology contrary to what it calls leftist and
communist indoctrination in the country s schools, gained visibility in the
educational debate in 2014, by incorporating the fight against the supposed gender
ideology. The EsP grew in a socio-political context of reaction to the conquest
of rights and the advancement of public policies sensitive to social movements and
the poorest strata of societies, in the context of what has been called Brazilian
neoconservatism. The movement approached the Christian right and was part of
Jair Bolsonaro s presidential campaign. This research aimed to investigate the
EsP narratives about the teaching of History, especially those related to human
differences in time (religion, ethnic-racial differences, gender relations and
sexualities). We start from the assumption that the discipline of History occupies a
fruitful space in the production of subjects and that, since the 1990s, it has been
questioned by social movements that aim to include new subjects, histories, places,
and temporalities in the construction of the idea of nation and in the production of
subjectivities. Regarding the methodology, we searched for publications available
on the EsP website that address the academic and/or school discipline of History
and its relations with differences. In this way, 61 publications were selected and
analyzed in their content that discussed different religiosities, ethnic-racial and
gender relations, sexualities and in the past. The results show that these
publications: 1) are mostly opposed to teaching practices, textbooks, faculties and
competitions around the discipline of History; 2) criticize what they consider to be
a hegemony of Marxism in History; 3) defend the Catholic Church in temporalities
such as the Crusades and the Inquisition, and the Christians, especially the Jesuits
in the colonization process; 4) seek to distance the Catholic Church from the
experiences of slavery; 5) present a moralizing tone when representing women, as
well as the construction of a theory that, against the notion of gender, is fixed on
the biological as a means of interpreting the roles of men and women in the past,
present and for the future. In conclusion, the narratives compiled on the website
manifest the reactive character of Brazilian neoconservatism, with a strong
moralist, traditional, Christian, heteronormative bias and opposing the demands of
women, blacks and LGBTQIA plus. The school subject of History is one of its targets,
demonstrating its relevance for the construction and defense of knowledge and
values that reinforce the authority of historically dominant groups in Brazilian
society.
