[en] THE CENTRALITY OF THE PERSON ON RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: CURRICULUM IDENTITY FROM THE IGNATIAN MYSTICISM / [pt] A CENTRALIDADE DA PESSOA NO ENSINO RELIGIOSO: IDENTIDADE CURRICULAR A PARTIR DA MÍSTICA INACIANAMATEUS GERALDO XAVIER 10 September 2010 (has links)
[en] In general the development of a religious educational curriculum emphasizes either academic tradition due to epistemological support or religious tradition for its historic survival for the generations to come. However with the emergence of a modern-secular-pluralistic society, it is necessary to take people and their demands for meanings as the starting point, as it was observed in the research field. So we need to find necessary traditional mediations for the formation of values that should characterize the curricular component. Thus we revisited the writings of a christian mystic - Ignatius of Loyola - who lived between Middle Ages and Renaissance and provides a centered-spiritual- mystagogical itinerary, focusing on the Divine Persons and on the practitioner at the same time. In contemplation of the mysteries of divine life, the real basis of history, the person, in all dimensions, is being achieved and required in the process of discovery and encounter with God s will in his/her life. Such spiritual pedagogy enlights the curriculum of religious education since it suggests customized itineraries for education under faith and aiming faith, breaking with a merely rational or emotional presentation of christian experience, while taking the global development process of learners into account.

[en] PROPOSED METHOD FOR CREATING AND VALIDATING TUTORIALS: LEARNING GRAPHIC SOFTWARE / [pt] PROPOSTA DE MÉTODO PARA A CRIAÇÃO E VALIDAÇÃO DE TUTORIAIS: APRENDIZAGEM DE SOFTWARE GRÁFICOWALTER DUTRA DA SILVEIRA NETO 12 June 2013 (has links)
aplicada, tendo cunho qualitativo.
As
estudos futuros. / [en] The need to assist people working with graphics software for teaching in
educational institutions motivated the present research, where we show the
efficiency of the use of tutorials and testing of such methods for Distance
Education Computer-Mediated. The overall objective of this thesis was to develop
models of creation and validation of tutorials for teaching graphics software. We
analyzed tools that enable the enrichment of this method, showing how it can be
effective and may even say attractive to those involved in processes of knowledge
construction. By its nature, the survey characterized as applied, and
qualitative. From the perspective of your goals, set up as an exploratory research
and the technical procedures, developed as research literature and
documents. From the general models for the creation and validation of tutorials,
we developed a specific tutorial that offers, among other features content and
graphics, text, sound, still image and video files into language Virtual Reality. The
main steps followed to develop this thesis were beyond the study of literature
related to the theme, the development of parameters to determine the effectiveness
of a tutorial, the identification and analysis of systems that are designed to
EDMC, aiming to use them as an environment for experimentation of this work,
the identification and analysis software that involves the process of developing
tutorials, in this case, a three-dimensional CAD software, an object of study for
the use of a tutorial course in the design, undertaking of studies on methods for
usability evaluation of tutorials in order to know the various terms and select an
appropriate form of ergonomic analysis and HCI (Human Computer Interaction),
based on survey of users, verification and study of definitions and applications of hypermedia in Virtual Learning Environments (VLE). The development and
validation of the tutorial with students and professionals have identified a number
of requirements that are needed for a good design tutorials. The completion of the
work presents a synthesis of data collected in the validation process of the tutorial,
as well as recommendations for future studies.

[en] HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE AND MEDIA IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF RIO DE JANEIRO / [pt] CONHECIMENTO HISTÓRICO E MÍDIA EM UMA ESCOLA DA REDE MUNICIPAL DE ENSINO DO RIO DE JANEIROPATRICIA TEIXEIRA DE SA 23 November 2016 (has links)
[en] The thesis discusses the construction of historical knowledge in schools in the context of media coverage. One of the main objectives of the study was to analyse dialogues and educational activities, with regards to historical learning. Another spectrum is related more specifically to the joining of media logic and the logic of school historical knowledge. Is the historical learning, as promoted in the school, affected by the context of the media coverage? Among the school historical narratives, how do the media narratives present themselves? What are the students views on the history being taught? What about history in media? History lessons were observed in three 9th grade classes in a public school in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, with questionnaires and group interviews with students. The research documents are composed of 1381 minutes of audio class recordings, field notes, 93 questionnaires and 20 student interviews. Data was analyzed using the Atlas T software for the tasks of storing, categorizing and establishig cross-references of the empirical material. The concepts of historical formation, historical culture, multiple literacies, mediatization and social languages were articulated in the analysis of the following categories created: historical concept, teacher-student dialogue, relations with the present, negotiation, media, technology, video production, use of textbooks and views of history taught. The study showed students appreciation of interactive discussions for the promotion of significant historical learning. It also showed critical views of the ways of learning induced by the school centered on the written word. The media was present in the history lessons observed and enabled more flexible one-way historical narratives. Despite claiming that the media feeds their historical imagination, the students do not confer a high degree of reliability in media narratives, valuing the printed word and the teacher s word.

[en] BETWEEN TEACHING AND RESOCIALIZATION: PRACTICES OF SCIENCE TEACHERS IN THE MALE PRISON EDUCATION IN THE CITY OF RIO DE JANEIRO / [pt] ENTRE O ENSINO E A RESSOCIALIZAÇÃO: PRÁTICAS DE PROFESSORES DE CIÊNCIAS NA EDUCAÇÃO PRISIONAL MASCULINA NO MUNICÍPIO DO RIO DE JANEIROTATIANE ALMEIDA DIORIO 21 August 2017 (has links)
[en] The research aims to investigate the educational practice of science teachers who work in prison education. We assume that, in the absence of professional and academic formation in the field, these teachers end up using in their jail classes the same didactic strategies carried out in schools outside the prison,
underestimating the specificities of prison education. In this sense, the aim is to characterize the teaching practices developed in prisons, recognizing the specificities of science teaching in this school modality. The sample consisted of 10 teachers who taught/teach the scholar discipline Sciences - final years of
Elementary School - in prison schools established in closed prison units (maximum security), male gender, located in the Penitentiary Complex of Gericinó, in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. The data, obtained through a semi - structured individual interview, were treated qualitatively based on the Content
Analysis - Thematic Analysis modality. The categories of analysis were constructed, mainly, from the theoretical reference of Tardif (2002) on the nature of the teaching knowledge. The interpretation of the collected information points to the importance of the teaching knowledge coming from the professional
experience in the jail. That is, it is in the everyday classroom that the science teachers construct their practices.

[pt] A REALIDADE VIRTUAL E SUA ADOÇÃO NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: ATITUDE E INTENÇÃO DE ADOÇÃO DA REALIDADE VIRTUAL POR ESTUDANTES DO ENSINO SUPERIOR / [en] VIRTUAL REALITY AND ITS ADOPTION IN HIGHER EDUCATION: ATTITUDE AND INTENTION OF ADOPTING VIRTUAL REALITY BY HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS18 June 2020 (has links)
Nesse contexto, a
Realidade Virtual no ensino superior.
[en] The subject of Virtual Reality has solidified its applicability and shown
itself to be increasingly relevant as a technology to overcome the physical barriers
of communication and experiential learning. In this context, education appears as
one of the areas most likely to benefit from this technology, since the use of
Virtual Reality can provide unimaginable practical experiences in absorbing
information as well as allowing for complex distance interactions, assisting and
serving to innovate educational practices and methodologies, contributing to the
qualification of professionals trained for the challenges and needs of the current
technological market environment. The study proposes and tests a model for
measuring factors that may influence the adoption of Virtual Reality in higher
education. In order to relate the topic of Virtual Reality and innovation adoption,
the study model was based on the innovation attributes of the innovation diffusion
theory (IDT - ROGERS, 2003) and the hypotheses tested the effects of relative
advantage, complexity, compatibility, trialability, observability and perceived
playfulness in the general attitude of Virtual Reality adoption, as well as the effect
of such attitude on the intention to adopt this technology. The quantitative
research analyzes a sample of 382 students from public and / or private higher
educational institutions in Brazil. The findings allow us to infer that several of the
factors studied affect the intention to adopt Virtual Reality for learning,
confirming most of the research hypotheses. The study results represent advances
in knowledge about the adoption of Virtual Reality in education and suggest
important contributions for students and higher education institutions, with regard
to the adoption and implementation of Virtual Reality technologies in teaching
practices.

[pt] OLHARES SOBRE O ENSINO DO PROJETO EM DESIGN: GÊNEROS E INTERAÇÕES EM ESPAÇOS DE ENSINO E APRENDIZAGEM / [en] VIEWS ON THE TEACHING OF DESIGN: GENRES AND INTERACTIONS IN TEACHING AND LEARNING SPACES21 October 2021 (has links)
o propósito comunicacional, arranjos espaciais e materiais. / [en] This research concerns the Project subject classes and their characteristics
forms in a design course of a private university in Rio de Janeiro. Considering design as
a projective and interdisciplinary activity, which implies a reflective practice upon usable
objects and information systems, the research objective is to understand how spaces
and material resources influence teaching and learning practices. Another goal is to
know how design students perceive this subject. The aim is to observe teaching and
learning practices and the usage of material resources and classroom spaces in that
course. The choice regarding the project subject is due to its pedagogical importance
training designers and the role assumed in a curricular reformulation, in 2007. The data
collection combines participant observation in two classes and the accomplishment
of a graphic representation task in four classes. The drawings are analyzed in two ways:
according to content s occurrence in a general sample and according to forms of interaction
in a reduced sample. The data interpretation is influenced by and contrasted
with the findings of the participant observation. Based on the analysis, a relation with
Bakhtin s genre concept is established, considering specific forms of interaction, communication
purposes, spatial and material arrangements. It is emphasized that the
classes assume specific spatial, material and interactive forms that can be understood
through an expanded notion of genre. Nevertheless, the awareness of spatial and material
resources appears with low prominence, although it is observed during the field research.
There is a reflection concerning the separation between mind, body and space
in society and the typical disciplinary tendencies of modernity that hinder the integration
of knowledge and limit other possibilities of knowing.

[en] In a society in deep and constant change, where the amount of information
available is increasing, as a result it is visible a significant increase in the degree of complexity of teaching in general, especially on the higher education level. To better deal with those issues is increasingly required of teachers to develop competences related with successful execution of his duties. This study aimed to explore, analyze and understand the experience and perception of those involved in this phenomenon, with the subjects under discussion inserted in the delivery of educational content in at the institution in question. It was sought to examine the existence of a set of competences, values and skills, present in people working in this environment. It was conducted a qualitative study of phenomenological inspiration. The speech of the subjects was then analyzed and categorized according to the descriptions of the literature about competences. As main result, it was possible to establish a set of teaching competences considered as most important ones by teachers and board of directors of this institution and
understand that teaching competences were not organized under a defined model,
although teachers were evaluated before working on this institution.

[pt] A MOTIVAÇÃO DE ALUNOS PARA A DISCIPLINA DE FILOSOFIA NO ENSINO MÉDIO / [en] STUDENTS MOTIVATION FOR THE SUBJECT OF PHILOSOPHY IN HIGH SCHOOL25 March 2021 (has links)
[en] Since 2008, the year when Philosophy became a mandatory subject in Brazilian schools, researchers started focusing their studies in the teaching of that subject. Our research seeks to identify intrinsic and extrinsic factors that motivate high school students for the subject of Philosophy, in light of the Self-Determination Theory. To do so, we used a semi-structured interview and a questionnaire, which were applied in a public school and in a private school in Rio de Janeiro, with a sample of 12 students from the 1st and 3rd years of high school. The instruments asked students about their motivation to learn philosophy. The data obtained suggests a strong relationship between the learning of philosophy and intrinsic motivation. In addition, it confirms the importance of teachers motivational role in for the student learning. This work, having presented the conceptions of students about the concept and teaching of Philosophy, contributes to an understanding of the factors and contexts that generate motivation in students for learning philosophy, thus offering hints for the teaching of that subject and for thinking about school curriculum.
