Durch Digitalisierung und Bereitstellung im Internet rücken jetzt die Nachschlagewerke näher an die Leser und Schreiber heran. Orientierung beim Schreiben geben neben den gedruckten Werken längst auch Online-Dienste wie Wikipedia, während die Lektüre zugleich von Fachportalen und einschlägigen Hypertexten gesteuert wird, die immer weniger dazu auffordern, den Schreibtischstuhl zu verlassen. Die Kultur des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens mag gleich bleiben, ihre Medien ändern sich entscheidend, wenn sie digital werden.

Im 18.Jahrhundert hatten die Philosophiehistoriker grundsätzliche Schwierigkeiten, den protestantischen Aristoteliker Melanchthon als Philosophen zu würdigen. Von diesen Schwierigkeiten handelt die folgende Darstellung, die bis zum Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts reicht. Mit dem 19. Jahrhundert verschiebt sich das Melanchthon-Problem von der Philosophiegeschichte in die Theologie- und Kirchengeschichte, die Reformation wird philosophiehistorisch ein weniger interessantes Datum. Bei Hegel etwa wird die Beziehung von Religion, Theologie und
Wissenschaft innerhalb der Philosophiegeschichte unwichtig, ja selbst die von Melanchthon mitgetragene Kritik an der Scholastik 'fällt mehr ins Literarische, in die Geschichte der Bildung, der Religion als der Philosophie'. Hegel hat einen Begriff von Melanchthons Denken als 'kühle, populäre Philosophie' und zeigt kein Interesse an der problematischen Stellung Melanchthons zwischen Tradition und
Innovation, zwischen Mittelalter und Moderne.

v anglickém jazyce The book presents an array of woven patterned fabrics from church treasuries in the territory of the Diocese of České Budějovice. The examples provided originate in the period spanning from the 16th to the 18th century, and they represent only a small selection of the surviving collections. The focal point consists of a magnificent collection of textiles from the 18th century, documenting the development of the individual historical spheres of decors overlapping into corresponding variants of design. The variability of patterns pertaining to this century is unusually high, and it combines a large number of sources of inspiration with roots in exotic overseas countries. The catalogue entries are furnished with brief technological analyses that offer an insight into the textile production of the respective periods and, at the same time, they provide researchers with a deeper understanding of the individual fabrics on display. Although the area of the Diocese of České Budějovice to a certain degree exceeds the boundaries of the Region of South Bohemia, the collections examined were, in their majority, imported from western European countries manufacturing weaving products of world renown. En esta tesis se hace un estudio de las élites de poder en Caravaca durante la Segunda Mitad del Siglo XVIII, tanto a nivel familiar, como a nivel de poder político y de la relación de este con su poder patrimonial. Se parte del análisis de las principales familias que configuran el poder local, y a partir de él, se procede a establecer los lazos de parentesco y matrimonios que se dan entre dichas élites. Pero el centro de la tesis lo constituye el estudio de los comerciantes desde dos vertientes: La primera como instrumento económico que va a favorecer el tráfico y comercio de la zona introduciéndola en las principales rutas interiores del comercio de la lana, mientras que la segunda vertiente hace referencia, a su influencia como poder político, a su introducción paulatina en los cargos del concejo y la ocupación de los puestos de mayor relevancia. / This thesis is intended as a study of power elites in Caravaca during the second half of the 18th century from the perspective of the families involved and the relationship between their political and patrimonial powers. The main families that shaped local power have been analysed and the bonds and marriages between their members have been brought to light. The core of the thesis, however, is the study of local merchants from a double perspective: (i) their role as economic agents that encouraged traffic and commerce in the area by introducing it in the main inland routes of wool trade; and (ii) the gradual increase of their political power, as shown by the fact that they tended to hold the most relevant posts in the local council.
