Nedel, Sheila Spohr January 2009 (has links)
Postural insoles are plantar orthosis developed by Bourdiol some time before 1980. Its principle is based on the action of podal pieces, which are called elements, bars, wedges and chocks that are placed under the skin and the plantar muscles, reprogramming the body posture. In postural evaluation, the variables described in CNT protocol are observed. The body posture is described as a process of relative inter-relationship of the body parts, balancing bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments, structures that support and protect the body against external or internal agents. The aim of this study was to verify the effect of postural insoles on the body posture of schoolchildren. The specific objectives had been to describe the postural characteristics of the subjects before and after the use of postural insoles and to verify the alterations on the plantar pressure of schoolchildren, before and after the use of the insoles. Six male pupils attending the third grade of elementary school from the city of Porto Alegre - RS had been evaluated. For the data collection, postural evaluation was analyzed through a computational program for postural evaluation (CPPE) and through an electronic baropodometer. The schoolchildren were evaluated by CNT protocol, and through this evaluation were defined which podal pieces would be used in the confection of the insoles. The schoolchildren had been first evaluated without the use of postural insoles, and after that making use of the insoles, for comparison reasons. The results of the postural evaluation demonstrate body posture alterations on schoolchildren when using the insoles. The results obtained through the Wilcoxon test, with 5% of significance, point statistical difference in the evaluation of the plantar pressure in the posterior region of the left foot when using the postural insoles. One can conclude that the use of postural insoles causes alteration in the body posture of schoolchildren. Also, that the plantar pressure presents changes when postural insoles are used, with statistical significance in the posterior region of the left foot (p=0,028). Other regions of the foot had presented a better pressure distribution, however its data had not been statistical significant.

Développement, bases neural et pathologie du Soi corporel / Development, neural bases and disorders of bodily self

Zamagni, Elisa 16 April 2012 (has links)
Enfin, le cinquième chapitre est consacré au rôle du geste dans la reconnaissance du propre corps et celui des autres / The first chapter describes the theoretical framework of self-body recognition and the processing that allow us to distinguish one’s own body and face from body and face of someone else. The second chapter will investigate motor cortex excitability during self/other recognition processing in healthy subjects. The results show an increment of motor corticospinal excitability in the right hemisphere following the presentation of self stimuli (hand and phone), at 600 and 900 ms after stimulus presentation, providing evidences about neural substrates and temporal processes underlying self-body recognition. The third chapter will describe the role of the movement in self bodily recognition in healthy subjects and in patients with right brain damage. The evidence show that patients, who did not show the advantage in the implicit recognition of self static body parts, present this advantage in the implicit recognition of self dynamic body parts. The fourth chapter focuses on the development of the bodily self in children with typical development and in children with autism, with respect to the recognition of self/other emotional body postures. First, this study shows that the advantage in bodily self processing is preserved in children with autism. Second, emotional body postures modulated self and others body processing in typically developing children, as well as in children with autism. The fifth chapter deals with the role of hand gestures in self/other bodily recognition processing, showing that the meaning of a gesture modulates the self/other processing. The processing of others’ hand is facilitated with meaningful compared to meaningless gestures

Orientador: Antonia Dalla Pria Bankoff / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de campinas, Faculdade de Educação Fisica / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-04T01:29:39Z (GMT). For the human being to have a good life, it is necessary a good health and for this to happen we depend on bio-psycho-social factors. This study approaches two factors, which are believed to be fundamental: the body posture and nutrition. One represents the balance of the body between the internal and external forces, having in mind that those are joint structures, the other, represents our lives, because the human body uses energy from feeding for its physiological tasks as well as for triggering the process of growing up, forming important requirements for a healthy life. The aim of this work is to study of the body posture and its nutritional aspects of the students, males and females, from the 5th to 8th grades of public schools. Accurate studies made it necessary to develop a specific evaluation protocol in order to get the student's profile regarding their routine and posture habits. Anthropometrics measures and skinfold thickness were used according to the world Health Organization's classification ¿ OMS (1997) classification. In order to detect posture problems, such as deviations and asymmetries it was used the computerized posture evaluation through the Micromed Software version 3.0. The data was statistically set according to the student's T Test 5.0. The results pointed out that high index of malnutrition, as well as obesity, related to poor feeding and heavy work were associated to posture problems, and if these problems were not treated soon enough they will last for all these students' lifetime / Mestrado / Ciencia do Desporto / Mestre em Educação Física

Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-27T18:11:58Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Enio Lopes Mello.pdf: 2559037 bytes, checksum: b6e5f1087adf57342b41295b4091a8cb (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-12-11 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / Opera singing is an activity which requires refinement of motor coordination, in order to gain posture control during the vocal emission, and body awareness to ensure harmonization of gestures with the self-image. Often, the difficulty in promoting adjustments in posture can compromise quality and voice control. That occurs due to the close relationship between the larynx intrinsic and extrinsic musculatures, the cervical vertebrae, as well as the whole body, during singing. Objective: assess the sopranos' posture and voice, during tne singing of an opera aria; and discuss the relationship between postural and vocal signs and self-image. in opera singers. Method: this thesis is composed of two different studies. The first study is a transversal evaluation of posture and voice in 18 sÔpranos, during the rendering of an opera aria, through, respectively, computerized photogrammetry and acoustic analysis. The second study is a semiological reflection on the analysis of the posture signs, in relation to opera singers' body and vocal self-image. Results: in study 1 significant correlations (alpha 0,05) became evident, between postural changes of lower limbs, hips, torso and head, and voice, during the emission of notes F4, A4 and in the repetition of A4. According to the factorial analysis the position of the hS,ad configured an influent factor, to the vocal changes. In study 2, the semiology of the opera singer's body posture, voice and self-image resulted in a discussion, which was organized in three topics: 1- Singularity and perception; 2- Image and expression, constituted by the movement and 3- Posture, voice and self¬image. Final considerations: the first study revealed that the sopranos did hyperextension of lower limbs, hip anteversion, backwards inclination 'of torso and headextension in the lateral plane. Simultaneously, there was a decrease in the singers' formants values and increase in the intensity of the voice. The second study displayed the idea that the opera singer alters the perception of herself, at each new rendering.

ASPECTOS RESPIRATORIOS, POSTURAIS E VOCAIS DA DOENÇA DE PARKINSON CONSIDERAÇÕES TEÓRICAS / RESPIRATORY, POSTURE AND VOCALS FEATURES IN PARKINSON´S DISEASE THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Ferreira, Fernanda Vargas 19 December 2008 (has links)
This study aimed to review the specialized literature on respiratory, postural and vocal manifestations, associated to stages in Parkinson´s Disease and its possible interrelations, as well as, aging in phonation. Method: Some researches were carried based in articles in some databases: Lilacs, Bireme, PubMed, MedLine, Scielo and Google Schoolar, besides books, theses, dissertations and the Internet. Results: senescence is a physiological process to all human beings, generating anatomical and functional changes, especially at the age of 60, as muscular atrophy, calcification of the laryngeal cartilage, and reduction in respiratory capacity, reflecting on the voice through changes in pitch, instability, decrease in the maximum phonation time and restriction of vocal intensity. Parkinson´s Disease causes a series of functional alterations, e.g., rigidity, shaking, bradikinesia, reduction in the respiratory muscular strength, in maximum phonation time and vocal intensity, as well as postural changes. Its repercussions occur simultaneously, due to the muscle chains, body posture, respiratory and, consequently, phonation. Postural deviations, as the head forward positioning, shoulder protrusion and chest hyperciphosis are common in aging and PD and contribute to vocal disturbances through biomechanic disadvantages, especially in the cervical-scapular segment. Associated to postural alterations, is the decreasing in the respiratory muscular strength, causing the chest to expand less, reduction in the lungs volume and capacity, interfering in vocal production. There is a tendency for these disturbances to occur more frequently and with more gravity according to the stage in which the parkinsonian is. Conclusion: Based in the premisse that the human movement and its disorders, as well as the comunication disturbances, from aging and neurological diseases are interrelated by means of complex neural and muscle-skeleton nets, it becomes essential for a better understanding of the integration of physiotherapy and speech therapy, in order to have a complementarity, aiming the Parksonian's well-being.
