The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the course and speed of the career development of women and men on the example of an international company AB Inbev, the focus is on the definition of the various obstacles in appointing women on management positions. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The goal of the first and second theoretical chapter is to explain the definition of management and to characterise the current trends in management. The third and fourth chapter aims to analyze the differences between men and women in the work area and in the development of career growth. The practical part is devoted to the characterization of AB Inbev Czech s.r.o. and analysis of the results of the research done in the company. The final part of the thesis contains an evaluation of research results and their comparison with the theoretical basis of work.

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of mangergers subjective experiences about the meaning of social capital. The study further aims to identify how managers work at increasing their social capital. The result in this qualitative study is based on interviews with six mangergers. The study's theoretical framework consists of an explanation of social capital from both Pierre Bourdieu and James Coleman. The study is also based on Mark Granovetter's theory about weak ties. The result indicates the managers consider a big social capital as important for their career growth and their performance of work. It also becomes visible that the lack of contacts creates limitations when it comes to access to information and career growth. The results also indicate that social capital can develop in different ways, too both favor their own gain but also ones employees and organization.The conclusion is that the managers who were interviewed in this study believe that social capital has and is important for their career growth and performance of work. Another conclusion is that ones social capital can create limitations. Finally, a conclusion can be drawn that social capital can grow in multiple ways and with different purposes. / Syftet med denna studie är att öka förståelsen för chefers subjektiva erfarenheter av det sociala kapitalets betydelse. Studien syftar vidare till att ta reda på hur chefer går tillväga för att öka sitt sociala kapital. Denna kvalitativa studie baserar sitt resultat på intervjuer med sex stycken chefer. Studiens teoretiska ramverk består av en förklaring av begreppet socialt kapital utifrån både Pierre Bourdieu och James Coleman. Studien baseras också på Mark Granovetters teori om svaga band. Resultatet tyder på att chefer anser att stort socialt kapital är viktigt för deras karriärutveckling och yrkesutövande. Det visar också på att inte känna rätt personer kan begränsa chefer när det kommer till tillgång till information och karriärutveckling. Resultatet visar även att det finns flera sätt att utveckla sitt sociala kapital på, både för att gynna sig själv men också för sina medarbetare och organisationen i stort. Slutsatsen som kan dras är att cheferna som intervjuas i studien anser att socialt kapital har varit och är viktigt för deras karriärutveckling och yrkesutövande. En annan slutsats som kan dras är att socialt kapital kan begränsa cheferna. Till sist kan en slutsats dras att socialt kapital kan utvecklas och vårdas på flera olika sätt och med olika ändamål.

Exploring the Lack of African Americans in the Department of Defense Senior Executive Service Corps

There is a lack of African American representation in the Department of Defense's (DoD's) Senior Executive Service (SES) Corps. In 2011, only 11.4% of the DoD's SES members were African American. This disparate representation is problematic because it contradicts the creation of a diverse workforce, which in turn limits opportunities for African Americans to join the elite DoD SES Corps. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore the perceptions of 9 African American SES members in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Agencies, and Defense Field Activities to determine factors contributing to their promotions into the SES Corps. The theoretical framework for this study included Burns and Bass conceptualization of transformational leadership, as well as the social learning theories of Bandura and Vygotsky. A snowball sampling technique was used to recruit the participants for face-to-face or telephone interviews. The interview questions focused on the attributes participants perceived as influencing their career progression into the SES. Upon transcribing interview data, an open coding process was used to categorize information collected followed by thematic analysis to facilitate further understanding. Findings indicate that professional qualities such as the ability to perform core executive functions, training, and education contributed to their SES progression. Furthermore, transformational leadership was perceived as being important in SES service. The implications for positive social change stemming from this study include direct recommendations to DoD human resource directors to capitalize on current African American leaders to serve as mentors to emerging leaders in a way that is consistent with transformational leadership.

My thesis is based on the possibilities of career growth in the field of banking. I will study the development of careers in two different but comparable financial institutions. The theoretical part of my thesis will focus on four types of career structures: full-time, part-time, full-time with management track, and irregular. In the following part of my thesis, I will show how these four types search for employment, develop their careers, and negotiate payment and benefits. In this thesis, I will compare the working conditions of two banks. Based on personal interviews, surveys, and observation, I have ascertained and graded the each bank for self-realization, work-study opportunities, business culture, and job satisfaction, relations between management and employees and company communications. I also studied the average length of an assignment, which is a good general indicator.

Изучены система диагностики и методы анализа кадрового потенциала. Во второй главе проведен анализ развития кадрового потенциала в дошкольных образовательных учреждениях. Исследованы основные направления развития кадрового потенциала в ДОУ. Проведен анализ результативности деятельности МАДОУ г. Екатеринбурга в развитии кадрового потенциала. В третьей главе был разработан проект по совершенствованию процесса развития кадрового потенциала в ДОУ. Разработана концепция проекта по совершенствованию процесса развития кадрового потенциала в ДОУ на основе унифицированной модели по управлению развитием кадрового потенциала. Разработан план мероприятий по реализации проекта в МАДОУ г. Екатеринбурга. Определены риски проекта, мероприятия по их снижению и дана оценка эффективности проекта с позиций ключевых участников. / In the first Chapter of the master's thesis, the concept of human resources of the organization is defined, the methods of analyzing human resources and the main approaches to its development are studied, and a comparative analysis of existing approaches is carried out. The system of diagnostics and methods of personnel potential analysis are studied. The second Chapter analyzes the development of human resources in pre-school educational institutions. The main directions of development of personnel potential in DOW are investigated. An analysis of the performance of MADOU G. Yekaterinburg in the development of human resources. In the third Chapter, a project was developed to improve the process of developing human resources in DOW. The concept of a project to improve the process of human resource development in DOW based on a unified model for managing the development of human resources has been developed. A plan of measures for the implementation of the project in MADOU has been developed. Ekaterinburg's. Project risks, measures to reduce them are identified and given.
