Kirpėjų profesijos mokytojų profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimas kaip prielaida praktinio mokymo kokybei gerinti / Professional competency development of Hairdressers’ trainers as the assumption to improve the quality of practical trainingČemeškaitė, Kristina 20 February 2013 (has links)
1. Pristatyti praktinio mokymo kokybės užtikrinimo sampratą.
2. Teoriškai pagrįsti profesijos mokytojų profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimo aktualumą praktinio mokymo kokybei gerinti.
3. Atskleisti kirpėjų profesijos mokytojų požiūrį į jų profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimo svarbą siekiant gerinti praktinio mokymo... [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The problem, relevance and novelty of research.
Consequently, the development of professional competency is closely linked not only with the quality of the practical training but it may cause great changes in the education system as well. So, only the constant development of Hairdresser‘s professional competency can help to give a propper training for young professionals having great possibilities in European labor market. That is why the Professional competency development is a key problem which says greatly on the quality of practical training. The research of different specialits‘ attitude towards professional competence as well as the needs of it among the learners was carried out in Lithuania. It is obvious that competency is highlighted greatly but little research is done in the field of competency development as the assumption to improve the quality of practical training.
Following the situation, the main objective of the work is to reveal both, the attitudes of Hairdressers’ professional trainers and stakeholders' towards the importance of professional competency development with the aim to improve the quality of practical training.
The aim of the research – to present the professional competency development of Hairdressers’ trainers as the assumption to improve the quality of practical training.
The tasks of the research:
1. To deliver the assurance concept of practical training quality.
2. To stimulate theoretically the development of professional... [to full text]

The purpose of this thesis has been to study how digitalization has affected competency and competency management within Swedish authorities. This regards to the sixteenth sustainable goal developed by the UN which purpose is to promote peaceful, equitable and inclusive societies for a sustainable development. E-governance and its effect on the society is being studied to achieve the vision of a sustainable development. Collection of data has included primary data in the form of semi-structured interviews. Further on, secondary data have been applied in form of statistics for varying contexts. Based on the study’s findings it can be confirmed that the digital transformation within the examined authorities partially has contributed to replace professional tasks and partially to change the working tools used in the operation. The new professional tasks and their applied processes have contributed to higher demands of new competencies within the operation. It is mainly about an increased digital competency of employees. Depending on the digital maturity and the implementation of new technologies, the demand of digital competence varies between the authorities.

Previous issue date: 2012-02-09 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Society and the individual are experiencing a moment of anxiety over risks linked to human action and climate change, from floods and famine to technology-based risks. It is in this context that concerns over economic, environmental and social sustainability emerge. Over a decade ago, a view known as the sustaincentric worldview arose. This is a dialectical synthesis which proposes to overcome the apparently irreconcilable points of view stemming from the "technocentric" and "ecocentric" worldviews. The former prescribes technological solutions for the abovementioned risks and the latter an immediate interruption of economic development as it is known today. This work s theme, the discussion about sustainability and the development of managerial competencies, is a reflection, on the organizational level, of these countless questions which clash with one another and complement one another. This is a work essentially about human and social management of organizations and the people who gather within them to work and cooperate. It is a work focused on managers reality, since they are being called to participate in a broad mentality shift, in which the interests of various stakeholders are taken into account, and not merely those of shareholders. On the theoretical level, this work is based on Giddens (1984, 2009) ideas about structure and action and Beck s (1992, 2007) concepts about risk society. It also draws on McKibben s (2007) and Söderbaum s (2000, 2008) ideas about new economic presuppositions, on Sandberg s (2000, 2007) interpretivist conceptions about competency development and on Engeström s (2001) expansive development. The objective of this research is to cooperatively investigate the development of managers competencies within an organization by introducing the sustainability discussion in this company environment. More specifically, it aims to analyze how the guiding idea of sustainability is understood and signified by corporate actors and how the discussion and practice of sustainability alters these meanings and sets competent actions in motion over time. The work also seeks to understand and problematize how the demands of various interest groups are negotiated during this process. Cooperative inquiry was used as the research methodology, following the works of Heron (1981, 1996), Reason (1994, 2003) and Moreno (1992, 1997). The research was conducted with a group of managers from the hospitality sector in Brazil. The results present a thick description of the paradoxes, limits and possibilities for advances in the reflections and actions of this group of managers, who committed themselves to a project for sustainability competency development within an interpretive and cooperative logic. In this process, face to face encounters, reflexive dialogues and exchange of best practices were the key point. The research trajectory allowed changes to occur in the way these organizational actors understood the meaning of their work and business, regarding sustainability, in the context allowed by the structure. On the level of reflexive and dialogic actions, however, implications for future changes and researches emerged, with this or other groups.

Previous issue date: 2012-04-20 / Instituto Presbiteriano Mackenzie / The central objective of this study is to analyze how different conceptions of enterprise influence the development of the enterprising competency, taking as a reference the phenomenographic assumption that a single phenomenon is experienced in different ways by individuals. Generally, studies in this field treat competency as a set of attributes held by individuals and activated in real situations to resolve problems and take opportunities. They are based on a realist ontology, where subject and object are considered separate entities, and on an objectist epistemology, which presupposes that there is an objective meaning to all dimensions of the social world, waiting to be discovered by researchers. As a result, a set of individuals attributes that are independent of context are identified. These studies do not take into consideration the influence of the meanings that individuals attribute to their activities when developing their competency for enterprising. This gap is filled by this research, which is based on the idea that the different conceptions entrepreneurs have of their activities both form and organize the attributes put into play when these activities are performed. For this purpose, qualitative research using a methodology that is little known in organizational studies, phenomenography, was conducted. The main authors of this investigation approach are Ference Marton, Roger Säljö and John Bowden in the education area, and Gloria Dall Alba and Jörgen Sandberg in the competency area. This research was performed with twelve young entrepreneurs who participated in a pre-incubation program at a university located in the state of São Paulo. The data was collected based on two rounds of phenomenographic interviews held at the start and end of the program. Minutes from meetings between the students and the program advisors and with consultants from the junior company connected with the university were also used. The data was analyzed using phenomenographic techniques and the results point to the existence of three different ways of conceiving of enterprise within the group: (1) As an extension of a profession; (2) As an economic activity; (3) As an economic activity with a social impact. The evidence shows that these ways of experiencing enterprise lead to different strategies for learning and competency development. The evidence also shows that the individuals who had the deeper conceptions (2 and 3) developed their competency on more complex levels and obtained more success on the program, having their business projects evaluated and being invited to the incubation stage. After they participated in the program, their conceptions remained the same, which shows that learning occurred within the conception the individuals already possessed when they entered the program. This evidence helps to look at competency development in a new light. In order to develop professional competency it is necessary to go beyond the transmission of content required for good professional performance. It is fundamental to promote interventions that transform the conceptions individuals have of their activities. Individuals with deeper conceptions develop competencies on deeper levels.

Developing ISLANDS Learning Model in Improving the Guiding Ability of Students in Maluku ArchipelagoMaruanaya, Rita Fransina, Akihary, Wilma 31 May 2023 (has links)
... The learning model developed in this study is the ISLANDS learning model. ISLANDS stands for Identification, Setting, List, Application, Note, Duplication, and Scrutinize. This learning model provides space for students to learn independently, it is by searching and finding information about tourism objects and Phrases according to the material, working in groups to practice collaboration skills, sharing information and knowledge, and sharing tasks and responsibilities, leadership, solving problems, actively speaking in German with the help of teachers and native speakers and only focusing on local wisdom which is of course very well known to them, making it easier for them to absorb the material provided by the teacher. In addition, students are also given the opportunity to evaluate the process and their learning outcomes. Thus, it is hoped that this interactive, communicative, active, independent and local wisdom-oriented learning model can increase students’ learning motivation and their mastery of the German language, especially guiding abilities. Nachhaltige Kompetenzentwicklung / Sustainable Competency Development – Concepts, Guiding Principles and Experiences in Qualifying Young Scientists at Saxon Universities13 June 2014 (has links) (PDF)
This book summarizes the key outcomes of a conference on „Sustainability as a guiding principle in qualifying young scientists“. In May 2013 the conference was held at TU Bergakademie Freiberg as a joint event of all Competence Schools in Saxony. It also documents the overall project results achieved within these six Saxon Competence Schools, which are funded by the European Social Fund.
The central question being discussed is how young scientists’ skills can be developed sustainably at Saxon universities. The term “sustainable competency development” is used to refer to two different aspects: (1) How can key competencies that are important for young scientists be developed in a sustainable manner? Sustainable is here understood as relevant and practically-oriented with regard to young scientists’ future professional life and career. And (2) how can young scientists be enabled to act ecologically, economically as well as socially sustainable?
Referring to these two questions the role of Saxon Competence Schools is being discussed which aim at qualifying young scientists in skills that are particularly relevant for the labour market – key and leadership competencies – apart from their expert qualification. For this purpose six funded Competence Schools deliver insights into their structural conditions and their main focusses as well as their best-practice experiences that are meant to enable a sustainable competency development for young scientists at their universities. Furthermore doctoral candidates report on their experiences regarding their personal development and evaluate the competence schools’ offers based on their individual perspective. The role of Competence Schools is additionally discussed concerning the question, which skills young scientists need in order to be well-prepared for future challenges. This question not only focuses on key competencies, but also on the importance of those competencies that enable young scientists to act in an ecologically, economically as well as socially sustainable way.

Does maintaining the psychological contract make you stay in the organization? : A qualitative study of how competency development and career opportunities contribute to the retention of staff within organizationsJagler, Theodor, Hovstadius, Fredrik January 2021 (has links)
Within the framework of this study, it was investigated how organizations can retain their staff with the help of competence development and career opportunities to maintain the psychological contract with the employees. When implementing the qualitative interviews, the interview guide aimed to contribute to an increased understanding of how organizations work to retain their competent employees. With the help of six interviews, empirical data has been collected to investigate the problem and research area. The results that have been discovered include that competence development and career opportunities were perceived as central parts for employees to remain within their organization. In addition, the results also showed the importance of setting the right expectations for their employees as an organization, since that could reduce the risk of the employee’s intention to leave the organization.

Over the past decades, multiple studies have looked into transition to practice programs such as nurse residency programs (NRP), as well as their various effects on the entry-to-practice experience of newly graduated nurses (NGN). NRP have a positive impact on the NGN’s development of skills and competencies as well as social integration within their unit. Some studies show the importance of professional development in maintaining and improving the quality of care, but no study, to our knowledge, examines the influence of a NRP on the competency of the NGN to invest in their professional development. The purpose of this study is to explore NGN's perceptions of the development of the competency "To ensure professional development and contribute to the competency development of their of colleagues" following their participation in an NRP on a neonatal intensive care unit. For this research, the competency framework developed at the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Center served as a study framework. This exploratory qualitative study with an interpretative descriptive design involves data collection by means of semi-structured individual interviews with six nurses who, in their first six months of practice, began a nursing residency program in the neonatal intensive care unit. of a pediatric university hospital center in Quebec. Following the thematic analysis of the data collected, the results relate to professional development for the continuous improvement of nursing practice, the evolution of the vision of nursing practice, the evolution of means to ensure their professional development as well as the NRP as a lever for professional development. In the light of these results, various recommendations for practice, research as well as training are issued.
