Edman, Veronica, Henningsson, Emelie January 2018 (has links)
The role as a middle-manager is complex. They often tend to be squeezed between the management and the staff.  For this reason, it is very important that there is a good balance between demand, control, support and stress at work. Studies show that such balance is of great importance in facilitating the middle management's complex work situation. The aim of the study was to analyse middle manager’s experiences of demand, control, support and stress in their daily work. Semi-structured interviews with six middle managers on a private company were performed, and the result was analysed with deductive thematic analysis. All middle managers felt that they constantly experienced stress at work, and that the right proportions of demand, control and support could help them handle the stress at work.

Intern kontroll för motverkan av penningtvätt inom svenska storbanker : nivån på den interna kontrollen / Internal control for counteracting money laundering in Swedish banks : the level of internal control

Arnaout, Sacha, Abdul Halim, Tina January 2020 (has links)

Malmö University: Faculty of Health and Society, Department of Social Work, 2022.   The purpose of this study is to investigate how social secretaries who work in financial assistance experience their work situation in relation to stress. The empirical data was collected through nine semi-structured interviews with social secretaries working in financial assistance. Furthermore, coping and Karasek and Theorell’s demand-control model have been used as theoretical starting points. The Collected empirical evidence has been analyzed based on the selected theories and the state of knowledge. One of the central points of departure in this study was that social secretaries explained which factors contributed to stress in the workplace and which measures exist in the workplace to prevent stress, among other things. / Författare: Kadenic, Sanita. Stressade socialsekreterare i ekonomiskt bistånd. Examensarbete i socialt arbete, 15/30 högskolepoäng.

Hedlund, Caroline January 2007 (has links)
<p>In 2005 a public housing company in Uppsala, Sweden introduced the service quarter host. The focus on comfort (life quality in American programmes) is similar to the non-tolerance programmes. The idea of non-tolerance derived from the theory of Broken windows. The purpose is to examine how the service works according to the theories of Broken windows and social control. The aim is also to examine if the manifest and the latent functions are the same in different areas. Hosts from four different areas have been interviewed in a comparative case study. The result tells that the hosts practice according to the Broken windows model when they prevent damage to, or around the buildings by checking them. And to the non-tolerance when they are taking care of minor problems, defined by them. The manifest functions of the service are the same in all four areas. The latent functions are different related to the host’s apprehension of the people in the areas. How the manifest services are carried out influences the latent function. Social control cannot be excluded as a latent function. The resemblances with the more social administration in Gothenburg points out public housing in the direction of being social housing.</p>

No. of bitstreams: 1 JulioCOF.pdf: 983441 bytes, checksum: df3a42267608b9d7ed2fd356c7ba1094 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2008-07-16 / Chemical admixtures, when properly selected and quantified, play an important role in obtaining adequate slurry systems for quality primary cementing operations. They assure the proper operation of a well and reduce costs attributed to corrective cementing jobs. Controlling the amount lost by filtering through the slurry to permeable areas is one of the most important requirements in an operation, commonly controlled by chemical admixtures, such as carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). However, problems related to temperature, salttolerance and the secundary retarding effect are commonly reported in the literature. According to the scenario described above, the use of an aqueous dispersion of non-ionic poliurethane was proposed to control the filter loss, given its low ionic interaction with the free ions present in the slurries in humid state. Therefore, this study aims at assessing the efficiency of poliurethane to reduce filter loss in different temperature and pressure conditions as well as the synergistic effect with other admixtures. The temperatures and pressures used in laboratory tests simulate the same conditions of oil wells with depths of 500 to 1200 m. The poliurethane showed resistance to thermal degradation and stability in the presence of salts. With the increase in the concentration of the polymer there was a considerable decrease in the volume lost by filtration, and this has been effective even with the increase in temperature / Os aditivos qu?micos, quando devidamente selecionados e quantificados, s?o importantes aliados na obten??o de sistemas adequados de pastas para cimenta??es prim?rias de qualidade, fundamentais para o ciclo de vida ?til de um po?o, visto que opera??es de cimenta??o corretiva geram custos adicionais.

SOCIALA STRATEGIER I MÖTE MED MATNORMEN : En kvalitativ studie om att avvika från normer kring mat och ätande / Social strategies when going against food normativity

Nylander, Angelica January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this study has been to contribute to the knowledge about food and eating as a social phenomenon, by examining how individuals who diverge from the food norm construct their social reality. This qualitative study were carried out in Umeå 2017. Individuals who identified as vegans and ate an strict vegan diet were interviewed on the base of a semi structured interview guide. Since the theoretical framework on which the study lies is Kathy Charmaz´s social constructionism, the object of the study is not the vegans themself, but the social situations where they encounter food normativity. The results showed that three different processes were in motion when the deviants navigated through the landscape of food normativity; att konfrontera eller inte konfrontera (to confront or not to confront), tidens inverkan på mängden upplevda konflikter (effect of time on the degree of experienced conflicts) and normföljarnas känslor och dess konsekvenser för normavvikarna (the normfollowers feelings and their consequenses for the deviants). The study showed that the effects of social food norms hade a great impact on the deviants social reality.

Processtyrningens påverkan på medarbetares resultat i ett tjänsteföretag / Process managements impact on employee’s performance in a service company

Björck, Johan, Ericson, Carl January 2020 (has links)
Process orientation is a type of organisation that focuses on processes instead of hierarchies. Within the organisational form, the organisation is managed by process management which include several components providing control effects and driving the company's results. A web-based survey was conducted in which employees' experiences about process management were collected. The survey included the categories of awareness, frequency, collaboration, impact on employees and effects. The categorization was developed in line with previous studies of process orientation. Based on the theoretical frame of reference, we have analysed our data and found that in some cases the effects are well in line with the expected effects from the theory and in some cases, these differ from the theory. Our study is a contribution to the work of developing and nuancing the model of process orientation. Our study shows how employees are experiencing and managing the effects of different degrees of process orientation and how employees' experiences can affect the companies’ ability to achieve their goals. As a result, the role of process management is to increase the employee's degree of process orientation.
