The attempt of examining, in Dom Casmurro (1899), the affirmation of the character-writer: “everything is found out of a faulty book, friendly reader. So I fill out somebody else's gaps; so you can fill out also mine”, and the attempt to investigate, in Capitu – memórias póstumas, the substitution of the moody-author by the character-writer Capitu, takes us to the problematic of the metafiction. Our scope lies on how the questions of the authorship, of the reader, of the reading and of the parody are interconnected, owing to the fact that Proença‟s novel provokes, in itself, its own aesthetic problematization related to the interference of the point of view in the narrated facts, inviting us to rethink, with him, Machado‟s novel with the voice of Capitu, and as a consequence of that, to rethink Capitu as a character. Such procedure takes us to the critical and theoretical field of investigation, seen as a more recurrent path towards fiction since the end of the 20th century / Esta tese perscruta a recepção da personagem Capitu do romance Dom Casmurro (1899), de Machado de Assis, pela crítica-ficção machadiana elaborada em 1998. Trata-se do romance Capitu – memórias póstumas, de Domício Proença Filho. A investigação desenvolvida discute a problemática da noção de autor no âmbito da intertextualidade, enfatizando como, um século depois, as ressignificações da Capitu machadiana se conectam com as tendências estéticas e ideológicas do contexto finissecular novecentista. Nosso foco de interesse incide sobre a afirmação do casmurro-autor: “tudo se acha fora de um livro falho, leitor amigo. Assim preencho as lacunas alheias; assim podes também preencher as minhas” (MACHADO, 1991, p.57) e a substituição de tal personagem-escritor pela personagemescritora Capitu, no romance de Proença. Nossos esforços se concentram no sentido de pesquisar o modo como as questões da autoria, do leitor, da leitura e da paródia se interconectam, configurando a narrativa metaficcional de Machado e de Proença. Partimos do pressuposto de que o texto Capitu – memórias póstumas apresenta em seu corpus a sua própria problematização estética relacionada à interferência do ponto de vista nos fatos narrados, convidando-nos a repensar com ele a obra de ficção machadiana a partir da voz de Capitu e, consequentemente, a repensar Capitu como personagem. Com tal procedimento, sinaliza o âmbito da investigação teórica e crítica, percurso mais recorrente da ficção desde os fins do século XX.

The literature - as well as many other art expressions - is understood as a right of the human being, as it is vital and transformative (CANDIDO, 2010), and because of that, it needs to become, effectively an object of practices mediated by school where, according to, many children and young people, it is a place of unique access to literary reading. The present research is about the possibility of ensuring that young students can experience aesthetic experiences, by investigating and proposing the interdisciplinary dialog between literature, especially the classic ones and the arts, in the form of comics. The access to many artistic languages, interacting with the visual culture must be a school concern (BARBOSA, 2010). Immersed in a broad universe of visual culture to which the contemporary people are exposed, the comics as a subject can be addressed in the school as a possibility of approximating the visual arts, in dialog with the literature. Based on assumptions that guide the pedagogical action in teaching visual arts and literature, the concept of literary literacy (PAULINO; COSSON, 2009), and by the notion of semiosis (SANTAELLA, 2012), this research presents a reading project involving the novel Dom Casmurro written by Machado de Assis, and two versions of the same literary work in a comic version, developed with students from high school. The project implementation, developed in the form of didactic sequence, indicates the confirmation of the hypothesis that the association between the subjects; literature and visual arts can draw young students attention to the literary readings, and it also leads students to artistic appreciation, adding to the effective aesthetic experience in the educational field and to the reading training. This mentioned production in comic of formatted, presented as an appendix in this paper, and represents the didactics sequence research product. / A formação leitora na educação básica é um desafio na sociedade contemporânea, marcada pelas práticas digitais e pela abundância de visualidades, o que exige ampliar as possibilidades de abordagem dos gêneros discursivos, entre os quais o literário. A literatura – assim como outras expressões de arte – é compreendida como um direito do ser humano, porque vital e transformadora (CANDIDO, 2010), e por isso mesmo precisa se constituir, efetivamente, como objeto de práticas mediadas pela escola que, para grande parte de crianças e jovens, é lugar exclusivo de acesso à leitura literária. É dessa possibilidade de garantir que jovens escolares possam vivenciar experiências estéticas que a presente pesquisa trata, ao investigar e propor o diálogo interdisciplinar entre literatura, especialmente a considerada clássica, e artes, na forma de história em quadrinhos (HQ). O acesso às diversas linguagens artísticas em diálogo com a cultura visual deve ser uma preocupação da escola (BARBOSA, 2010). Imersa num amplo universo da cultura visual a que estão expostos os sujeitos contemporâneos, a HQ pode ser abordada na escola como possibilidade de aproximação das artes visuais, em diálogo com a literatura. Com base em pressupostos que norteiam a ação pedagógica no ensino de artes visuais e literatura, no conceito de letramento literário (PAULINO; COSSON, 2009), e na concepção de semiose (SANTAELLA, 2012), esta pesquisa traz um projeto de leitura envolvendo o romance Dom Casmurro, de Machado de Assis, e duas versões da mesma obra na linguagem da HQ, desenvolvido com estudantes de ensino médio. A aplicação do projeto, concretizado na forma de sequência didática, indica a confirmação da hipótese de que a associação entre as disciplinas literatura e artes visuais pode provocar nos jovens alunos maior interesse pela leitura literária, além de promover a vivência da apreciação artística, contribuindo, consequentemente, para a efetiva experiência estética no meio escolar e para a formação leitora. A referida produção, em formato de revista HQ, incluída como apêndice neste trabalho, configura-se como produto sequência didática da pesquisa.

No meio acadêmico internacional, há décadas, discussões vem sendo empreendidas, especialmente pela Sociologia e pela Antropologia, em defesa de uma outra ciência possível, que considere plenamente as crianças como protagonistas e participantes da vida em sua totalidade, e, como desdobramento disso, em suas pesquisas. Mais recentemente, pesquisadores da Geografia vem se colocando nesta arena de vozes, como sujeitos enunciativos da Geografia da Infância, defendendo que as crianças não apenas estão no espaço geográfico ou o ocupam, mas, se apropriam dele, bem como o produzem. Neste ínterim, nos embrenhamos pelas sendas da Geografia da Infância, campo de estudo que está se constituindo no Brasil desde o início do presente século e, ao mesmo tempo, nunca estará constituído, porque processo feito COM as crianças, seres humanos plenos, impassíveis de catalogação. A pesquisa de doutorado que ora apresentamos foi realizada junto com vinte crianças moradoras do Bairro Dom Bosco, em Juiz de Fora - MG. Bairro que, conforme o Plano Diretor do município, é uma Área de Especial Interesse Social (AEIS), apresentando condições precárias de habitabilidade. Contudo, o Dom Bosco tem sido impactado, sensivelmente, pelo que chamamos de reestruturação capitalista do espaço, de modo mais contundente a partir da década de 1990 - com a instalação e ampliação de equipamentos urbanos segregacionistas e o aumento da especulação imobiliária. Em 2008, a população do bairro Dom Bosco viu de muito perto a inauguração do primeiro shopping de padrão luxuoso de Juiz de Fora, o Independência Shopping, bem em frente de suas portas e janelas (aqueles que as tem). O aparente progresso não conferiu ao Dom Bosco sair do rol dos bairros mais empobrecidos da cidade, continuando a ser um bairro de ausências relativas a infra-estruturas mínimas de habitabilidade. E, pelo contrário, a chegada do Shopping removeu a maior área de lazer pública a que a população do bairro Dom Bosco tinha acesso, a Curva do Lacet. Nossa entrada no bairro e os primeiros contatos com as crianças, pouco a pouco, foram nos encaminhando a uma problemática central de pesquisa: O que é o bairro Dom Bosco para as crianças que nele moram? Com seus desenhos, impregnados de suas falas pulsantes de suas vidas, as crianças nos possibilitaram alcançar nosso objetivo pautado em apreender as lógicas utilizadas por elas para delimitar o Dom Bosco delas. As crianças participantes nos mostraram que suas definições de bairro não se alinhavam aos limites político-administrativos do poder público e aos ditames das iniciativas privadas e nos levaram à busca de uma teoria que pudesse dialogar com o que elas nos revelaram. Disso, surgiu nossa aproximação com a teoria histórico-cultural de Lev Semionovitch Vigotski, que, certamente, desvela-se também espacial. Para além do escopo construído a priori, as crianças do bairro Dom Bosco nos apresentaram suas geografias, nos instigaram a pensar num conceito de Bairro- Vivência e, assim, contribuíram para o estado da arte da Geografia da Infância. / In the international academic world, for decades, discussions are being undertaken, especially in Sociology and Anthropology in defense of another possible science, which considers the children as protagonists and participants of life in its entirety, and as a extension that, in their research. More recently, geography researchers has been putting in this arena of voices as enunciative subject of Geography of Childhood, arguing that children are not only in the geographic space or occupy it, but that they also take possession of it, as well as they produce it . Meanwhile, we engage in the paths of Geography of Childhood, field of study that is forming in Brazil since the beginning of this century and at the same time it will never be fully complete because the process is being done WITH the children: full human beings, impassive of cataloging. The doctoral research presented here was conducted with twenty children living in the suburb of Dom Bosco, in Juiz de Fora-MG. According to the urban planning of the city, is a Special Area of Social Interest (AEIS), with precarious living conditions. However, Dom Bosco has been impacted significantly by what we call capitalist restructuring of space, more forcefully from the 1990s - with the installation and expansion of segregationist urban infrastructure and increasing property speculation. In 2008, the population of the Dom Bosco saw very closely the opening of the first luxury pattern shopping mall of Juiz de Fora, \"Independência Shopping\", right in front of your doors and windows (for those who have it). The apparent progress not allowed Dom Bosco leaves the ranks of the poorest neighborhoods of the city, continuing to be a region of absences on minimum infrastructure habitability. Instead, the arrival of the mall removed the largest public recreation area that the Dom Bosco neighborhood population had access, the Lacet curve. Our entry in the neighborhood and the first contacts with children, little by little, were directing us to a central problem of the research: What is the Dom Bosco neighborhood for children who live in it? With their drawings, impregnated with pulsating lines of their lives, the children enabled us to achieve our goal guided to grasp the logic used by them to delimit what Dom Bosco is for them . The participating children showed us that their neighborhood definitions are not aligned to political and administrative boundaries of government and the dictates of private initiatives and led us to search for a theory that could dialogue with what they showed us. Hence, it arose our approach to the historical-cultural theory of Lev Semionovitch Vygotsky, that certainly is revealed also spacial. Beyond the extents built a priori, Dom Bosco\'s neighborhood children presented us their geographies, inspiring us to think of a Neighborhood-Experience concept and thus contributed to the state of the art of Geography of Childhood.

A valorização da terra urbana, a partir da extração da renda fundiária, faz com que o bairro enfrente atos que enfraquecem os direitos básicos à vida, o que especialmente afeta a população mais tradicional e pobre. A reestruturação do espaço, ao mesmo tempo em que contribui, é resultante da intensificação da produção capitalista do espaço alicerçada a uma lógica global, que se orienta sob os preceitos do atual estágio de acumulação flexível de capital. O espaço se fragmenta ao mesmo tempo em que vê elevar seu valor de troca. Este fato induz ao processo de segregação socioespacial, visto que, a maximização dos valores de troca produz benefícios desproporcionais para alguns grupos e diminui as oportunidades para outros. O Estado por sua vez utiliza de seus instrumentos para garantir a acumulação de capital em detrimento às condições de vida dos moradores do Dom Bosco. É neste contexto que a comunidade do bairro se organiza e luta pelo direito à cidade, equilibrando a correlação de forças com o Estado capitalista e alcançando conquistas que fortalecem sua permanência em seu local de origem. / The Dom Bosco neighborhood is located in one of the main growth centers of the city. The value of urban land, from the extraction of land rent, confronts the neighborhood with acts that undermine the basic rights of life, a situation especially affecting the more traditional and poorer population. The restructuring of space, while conveying benefits, is the result of intensified capitalist production of space, grounded in a global logic guided by the precepts of the current stage of flexible capital accumulation. The space is being fragmented at the same time that it is seeing an increase in its market value. This fact leads to the process of socio-spatial segregation, since the maximization of market values produces disproportionate benefits for some groups and decreases opportunities for others. The state in turn uses its instruments to ensure capital accumulation to the detriment of living conditions for the residents of Dom Bosco. It is in this context that the neighborhood community is organizing and struggling for the right to the city, balancing the correlation of forces with the capitalist state, and achieving successful results that strengthen its permanence in its place of origin.

Sob a análise de uma obra escrita em 1572, o De Regis Institutione et Disciplina, e de um contexto histórico-politico crucial para a Dinastia de Avis, nos referimos aqui ao segundo quartel do século XVI, este trabalho tem como propósito esboçar o pensamento político humanista de Jerónimo Osório. Partindo do pressuposto que os fatos históricos, não são meramente ilustrativos, mas se entrecruzam com as idéias políticas, primeiramente enfocaremos como Osório pensava algumas questões que marcaram o reinado de D. Sebastião, como por exemplo: a Batalha em Alcácer Quibir, a necessidade do casamento do Rei e a sua educação ministrada pelo Padre Gonçalves da Câmara. Em segundo lugar, esboçaremos o seu pensamento político abordando temas como: o ofício do Rei, a melhor forma de governo e a ação dos aduladores. Na relação entre pedagogia e política, esboçaremos o seu modelo de príncipe cristão, pertencente ao gênero dos espelhos de príncipes, através das disciplinas necessárias para a educação do Rei. / Based in a work written in 1572, the De Regis Institutione et Disciplina, and in a historic and politic context that is decisive to the Avis Dynasty, we refer here to the second period of the 16th century. This works objective is to plan the humanist political thought of Jeronimo Osório. By the purpose that the historic facts will not be just an illustration, but a meeting with political ideas, first of all we will discuss about how Osório thought about some point that determined the reign of Dom Sebastião, as for example, the battle in Alcácer Quibir, the need of the kings marriage and his education, which the priest Gonçalvez da Câmara was responsible. Secondly, we will plan his political though, talking about themes like the kings function and the best governing form and the actions of the kings adulators. In the pedagogy and political relation, we will plan the Christian princes model, concerning the princes mirror, by subjects which were necessary to the kings education.

JavaFX Scene Graph Object Serialization

Data visualization is used in order to analyze and perceive patterns in data. One of the use cases of visualization is to graphically represent and compare simulation results. At Ericsson Research, a visualization platform, based on JavaFX 2 is used to visualize simulation results. Three configuration files are required in order to create an application based on the visualization tool: XML, FXML, and CSS. The current problem is that, in order to set up a visualization application, the three configuration files must be written by hand which is a very tedious task. The purpose of this study is to reduce the amount of work which is required to construct a visualization application by providing a serialization function which makes it possible to save the layout (FXML) of the application at run-time based solely on the scene graph. In this master’s thesis, possible frameworks that might ease the implementation of a generic FXML serialization have been investigated and the most promising alternative according to a number of evaluation metrics has been identified. Then, using a design science research method, an algorithm is proposed which is capable of generic object/bean serialization to FXML based on a number of features or requirements. Finally, the implementation results are evaluated through a set of test cases. The evaluation is composed of an analysis of the serialization results & tests and a comparison of the expected result and the actual results using unit testing and test coverage measurements. Evaluation results for each serialization function show that the results of the serialization are similar to the original files and hence the proposed algorithm provides the desired serialization functionality for the specific features of FXML needed for this platform, provided that the tests considered every aspect of the serialization functionality. / Datavisualisering används för att analysera och uppfatta mönster i data. Ett användningsfall för visualisering är att grafiskt representera och jämföra simuleringsresultat. På Ericsson Research har en visualiseringplattform för att visualisera simuleringsresultat utvecklats som baserats på JavaFX 2. Tre konfigurationsfiler krävs för att skapa en applikation baserad på denna visualiseringsplattform: XML, FXML och CSS. Det nuvarande problemet är att för att utveckla en ny applikation så måste de tre konfigurationsfilerna skrivas för hand vilket är kräver mycket utvecklingstid. Syftet med denna studie är att minska mängden arbete som krävs för att konstruera en visualiseringapplikation genom att tillhandahålla en serialiseringsfunktion som gör det möjligt att spara applikationens layout till en FXML-fil medan programmet exekverar enbart genom att extrahera information ur det grafiska gränsnittets scengraf. I detta examensarbete har ett antal mjukvarubibliotek eller API: er som kan underlätta utvecklandet av en generisk FXML serialiseringsfunktion analyserats och de mest lovande alternativen enligt ett antal utvärderingsmetriker har identifierats. Med hjälp av en iterativ, design-orienterad forskningsmetod har en algoritm designats som är kapabel till att serialisera generiska Java-objekt, eller Java-bönor till FXML. Den föreslagna algoritmen har sedan utvärderats genom automatiserade mjukvarutester. Utvärderingen består av: analys av serialiseringsresultat, design av testfall, samt jämförelse av förväntade resultat och de faktiska resultaten med hjälp av enhetstest och uppmätt kodtäckning. Utvärderingen visar att serialiseringsalgoritmen ger resultat som motsvarar de ursprungliga FXML-filerna som utformats för att verifiera olika delar av FXML standarden. Därmed anses den föreslagna serialiseringsalgoritmen uppfylla de delar av FXML-specifikationen som kravställts och beaktats i detta examensarbete.

OBNOVA CENTRA MĚSTA MIKULOV - Společenské a kulturní centrum / URBAN RENEWAL OF MIKULOV TOWN CENTRE - Social and cultural centre

The Renewal Project of the Mikulov Town Center focuses primarily on its cultural heritage, consisting of reconstruction of the original Národný dom on the main square and new buildings of the Cultural House supplemented by the Art Multifunctional Gallery at the Kapucínská Street. The social cultural complex of buildings is a solution to the problems of cultural and physical connection between the city center and its immediate surroundings. After the reconstruction, the Národný dom has a supranational position in the form of conference rooms, a tourist-information center and an educational center. The present building is complemented by a new building of the Cultural House, which houses a multifunctional social hall suitable for theater performance, lectures or dance entertainment. Another kind of art experience offers Galleries on the Walls, which open their premises directly on the street and also shelter smaller outdoor cultural events in the city. The main idea of the project is to connect the square with the alley and then the city park. The building is a passage that directly connects to the original Národný dom and opens the possibility of moving from the main square to Kapucínska street. The exposed renovated bastion then interconnects the level of the park with the street level and is complemented by a view overlooking the St. Kopeček.

Under de senaste åren har webbapplikationsarkitekturen utvecklats för att möta webbapplikationsanvändarnas krav på sömlösa användarupplevelser (Aggarwal & Verma, 2018). Teknikval och ramverk påverkar prestandan för e-handelswebbplatser vilket i sin tur påverkar användarupplevelsen och e-handelsföretagens lönsamhet (Camilleri, 2021). Ett tekniskt experiment genomfördes för att jämföra teknikkombinationerna One-way data bindning, Virtual DOM och Two-way data bindning och Real DOM för ramverken ReactJS och Angular. Resultatet från de olika mätserierna visade på att hypotesen om att ReactJS med dess teknikkombinationer har en snabbare renderingstid, endast stämmer när en (1) produkt renderas ut i kundvagnen. Men när fler produkter renderas ut i kundvagnen falsifieras hypotesen då Angular med dess teknikkombinationer har en snabbare renderingstid. För framtida arbete skulle ytterligare mätningar behöva genomföras där fler antal produkter testasför att se vart gränsen går för teknikvalen utifrån antalet renderade element, men också att genomföra mätningar i fler webbläsare.

The Swedish debate regarding the reform of the third person pronoun plural has been examined with the NLS theory and with the perspective of literacy as not only a mental process but also as a social practice. The debate was initiated in autumn of 2016 by an article written by the teacher Henrik Birkebo in which he argued for a reform. To examine the legitimacy of the main arguments in the debate in relation to pupils’ actual use of the Swedish alternatives for the third person pronoun plural de/dem and dom in secondary school, 307 answers to the National Tests in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language from 2015 has been quantified in a corpus. The result shows that the argument for a reform due to the hardship for pupils to make out the difference between de and dem sees literacy mainly as a mental process. This is not shown in the corpus. A minority cannot use de and dem as the norm requires, and this minority consists of pupils with high and low grades. The argument to not too hastily make a reform sees literacy as a social practice and as a performance in a social context. This is more likely to be true according to the results of the analysis of the corpus. 82 % of the pupils want to use de/dem which shows that this is seen as a more respected literacy than the use of dom, which only 6 % of the pupils use in the corpus.

Mobile Ajax

This report describes a master thesis performed at SICS (Swedish Institute of Computer Science) and KTH (The Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm. Ajax stands for "Asynchronous JavaScript and XML" and it's not a programming language, but a suite of technologies used to develop web applications with more interactivity than the traditional web pages. Ajax applications can be adapted for mobile and constrained devices. This has been called Mobile Ajax. While the technique is the same, Mobile Ajax generally is considered to be a special case of Ajax, because it deals with problems specific to the mobile market. The purpose of this thesis has been to examine which possibilities and disadvantages has the Mobile Ajax from developers and users perspective. In addition we compare Mobile Ajax with Java Micro Edition (Java ME) and Flash Lite. This has been done through literature studies and development of a databased chat client (MAIM -Mobile Ajax Instant Messenger). The application sends and receives direct messages in real time between differently mobile devices. Then MAIM application has been compared with our own developed Java ME and Flash Lite chat clients. We have tested all three applications with different models of mobile devices and on different web browsers. The results have shown that mobile Ajax makes possible the creation of sophisticated and dynamic mobile web applications and is better than the classic web application model, but this requires that the mobile device has a modern and compatible web browser like Opera mobile. / Denna rapport beskriver ett examensarbete utfört på SICS (Swedish Institute of Computer Science) och KTH (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) i Stockholm. Ajax står för "Asynchronous JavaScript and XML" och är inte något programmeringsspråk, utan ett samlingsnamn för några tekniker som kan användas för att utveckla webbtillämpningar med mer interaktivitet än traditionella webbsidor. Ajax-tillämpningar kan anpassas till mobila och begränsade enheter. Detta har fått namnet Mobile Ajax . Medan tekniken är det samma, ses Mobile Ajax som ett specialfall av Ajax, för att den behandlar problem som är specifika till den mobila marknaden. Applikationen skickar och tar emot direkt meddelanden i realtid mellan olika mobila enheter. MAIM har sedan jämförts med egenutvecklade Java ME och Flash Lite chattklienter. Vi har testat alla tre applikationer med olika modeller av mobila enheter och på olika webbläsare. Resultaten har visat att Mobile Ajax möjliggör skapandet av sofistikerade och dynamiska mobila webbapplikationer och är mycket bättre än den klassiska webbapplikationsmodellen. Men detta förutsätter att den mobila enheten har en "modern" och kompatibel webbläsare t.ex. Opera Mobile.
