Förskolans möjligheter att använda teknik i verksamheten

Att teknik finns på förskolan, det vet vi alla. Men i vilken utsträckning? Vad det är som styr hur mycket de använder sig av teknik i den pedagogiska processen? Och finns det intresse för teknik hos barnen? För att ta reda på just detta har jag valt att göra enkätundersökning, observationer av lokalerna, genomgång av materialet inom förskolan och en undersökning på ett bibliotek. Att barnen gillar och gärna håller på med teknik är lärarna överens om. De flesta av förskolorna använder sig ganska lite av teknik på sina lektioner, men anser ändå att teknik är ett mycket viktigt ämne för barn i förskoleålder. Detta gör det viktigt att belysa hur lite teknik det finns på våra förskolor, trotts att lärare anser det vara viktigt för barnen.

“Che italiano fa” oggi nei manuali di italiano lingua straniera? : Tratti del neostandard in un corpus di manuali svedesi e italiani

The object of study of this thesis is the linguistic input in textbooks of Italian as a foreign language (FL). The intent is to study whether the linguistic changes, observed in contemporary Italian, have become part of the Italian offered as input to the learners. To identify the variety of language presented in the textbooks, some features of contemporary linguistic changes were chosen as verifiable indicators. These features, listed by Sabatini (1985: 155) as a basic part of "italiano dell’uso medio", and by Berruto (1987: 62) as part of "neostandard", are not occasional changes but are features that are gradually expanding and stabilizing into Italian standard (Sobrero 2005). A corpus consisting of 38 Italian textbooks published in Sweden and 8 in Italy in the years 2000-2012 were used to verify the manifestation of these features. The results show that the presence of neostandard features in the textbooks of Italian FL is conditioned, at first, by the rate of acceptance of those features by the linguistic norm. Thus, features that are nowadays commonly considered as normative have a high number of occurrences in the corpus. This is the case concerning lui, lei, loro as subject pronouns, the use of gli instead of loro, the use of the present tense for the future and the use of temporal che. On the other hand, features that are not considered as normative have no or very few occurrences. This is the case with gli instead of le and the use of imperfetto ipotetico. Secondly, the presence of the neostandard features in textbooks is conditioned by the instructive function of the textbooks, which shapes the typology of input introduced. Thus, occurrences of features such as cleft clauses and dislocations are mainly presented in authentic texts, oral texts, or introduced explicitly, but are rare or absent in textbooks characterized by simplified language.

Hur ska vi läsa? : En kvalitativ textanalys av litteraturens funktion i tre läromedel för svenska i gymnasieskolan.

This study uses a text analysis and an interpretive approach to examine literatures function in three teaching materials for the subject Swedish in upper secondary school and the abilities that reading literature will develop. The analysis has been done on the primary texts, secondary texts and teaching primary texts to determine which readings that are rewarded, which subjectconceptions that occur and how the teaching materials legitimizes reading literature. The results showed that “the action-oriented reading” was rewarded which means that the reading is aimed at sorting out the course of action that is expressed explicitly in the text. It was not possible to derive only one subjectconception. You can see the tendency for everyone and their scope vary. Reading literature and its function legitimized evident in the material's preface with explicit references to the curriculum. The reading will lead to the understanding of the relationship between fiction and social development, writing, and be a tool to develop self-awareness and understanding of other people's experiences, thoughts and imaginary worlds.

Kreativ läsning : Den "osunda" läsningens möjligheter i värdegrundsarbetet

This thesis examines creative reading and its potential usage in teaching literature. The focus lies on how creative reading, when applied on “provocative literature”, can contribute to new ways of discussion regarding the schools code of conduct. The used method consists of a text analysis based on a theoretical probing of what creative reading is. Vladimir Nabokovs Lolita and J.M. Coetzees Disgrace are the objects of study and the creative reading tried on these works focuses on how they may induce what I call “ethical ambiguity”. The results indicate that creative reading can be used to promote a more aware and critical stance towards reading as well as teaching literature. The results also illustrate how creative reading can be used to seek productive connections between the didactical core-questions What, How and Why. The study is concluded with discussion of how this try-out of creative reading stresses the importance of teacher preparation.

Inom skolan har kommunikationens betydelse fått allt större roll och användande av uppgifter med öppna respektive slutna frågor är något som får stort fokus. Syftet med studien är att få en djupare förståelse för vilka möjligheter uppgifters utformning erbjuder för att identifiera kritiska aspekter. Innehållet som kommer att behandlas handlar om talområdet 0-20 inom addition och subtraktion i årskurs 1. Under studien har två olika grupper av elever observerats vid flera tillfällen där de fick kommunicera om uppgifter med slutna respektive öppna frågor. Genom att analysera kommunikationen som skedde mellan eleverna under observationerna framkommer vilka möjligheter som erbjöds utifrån dessa uppgifters utformning för att uppvisa kritiska aspekter. Resultatet visar på hur både uppgifter med öppna och slutna frågor har för- och nackdelar men att grupper som arbetar med uppgifter med öppna frågor oftare lyckas hjälpa varandra att urskilja nödvändiga aspekter.

Den här studien handlar om arbetet med naturvetenskap och teknik i förskolan. Metoden är kvalitativ och syftet är att visa hur pedagoger i förskolan kan integrera de naturvetenskapliga ämnena samt teknik i förskolans lärmiljö. Datainsamlingen har skett genom intervjuer, dagboksanteckningar samt inventering av en förskolas lärmiljö. Undersökningens resultat visar att pedagogers förhållningssätt har stor betydelse då ett naturvetenskapligt arbetssätt tillämpas. Studien visar att ett sociokulturellt lärande stämmer väl överens med de delar som ger en god grund för att göra naturvetenskap och teknik till en naturlig del av förskolans lärmiljö. Om läroplanens intentioner att öka förskolebarns förståelse för och kunskap om de naturvetenskapliga ämnena samt teknik skall uppnås behöver dessa ämnen göras till en del av förskolans vardag. I uppsatsen tas frågan om pedagogers utbildning och kompetens i de naturvetenskapliga ämnena och teknik upp.

Laborativ matematik : en möjlighet eller en belastning

The past years there has been a big media circus, that states that the Swedish schoolsystem is broken and with dropping results in PISA as a proof of this statement. Voices have been heard that teachers rely on textbooks in a voluminous way and some suggest that this is the main problem as Swedish students dropping in mathematics results. This study shows how teachers perceive their use of laboratory mathematics and is therefore based on a teacher perspective. What I want with this study is to show how teachers looks at the correlation between benefits and disadvantages in using laboratory mathematics, but also to create an awareness for understanding the difficulties that you may face as teacher if you want to use laboratory mathematics as a tool when teaching. In this study, the main focus is on how teachers use laboratory mathematics as an option when teaching. Nine teachers participated in an online survey and answered questions about how they use laboratory mathematics and what benefits or disadvantages it may comprehend. To add, two teachers also attended to a private interview and another two were observed. The result that was found is that teachers can see big advantages in using laboratory mathematics especially when teaching geometry. The teachers pinpoint how using laboratory mathematics supports students deeper understanding for the mathematic contents. Though, teachers also highlight that there is a urgent need for the teacher to have the knowledge to comprehend meaningful and aimful lessons. Apart from knowledge teachers points to the lack of time to plan and execute as a disadvantage. The lack of time combined with insufficient knowledge in how to use laboratory mathematics is the determiner if laboratory mathematics is seen as a possibility or an affliction.

Musikens svårfångade nytta : En läroplansteoretisk och narrativ studie av olika nyttodiskurser i musikämnet

Denna studie undersöker olika nyttodiskurser i kursplanerna i musik från Lgr 62 till Lgr 11. Kursplanerna läses och analyseras diskursivt och resultaten diskuteras sedan inom ramen för en läroplansteoretisk tradition. Läroplansanalysen kompletteras med fem lärares livsberättelser och tankar kring musikämnets nytta.      Det enskilt viktigaste resultatet i föreliggande studie är konstaterandet om avsaknad av nyttodiskurs i Lgr 11 och hur musikämnets legitimitet då kan komma att ifrågasättas trots en kursplan som i sig beskriver ett ämne med starkt egenvärde. Detta värde gäller dock inte alla elever utan ämnets beskrivs som något som betyder olika för oss var och en.

Sex- och samlevnadsrelaterade teman i läroböcker för Svenska 1 och Svenska 2 : En jämförande studie mellan läroböcker för Lpf94 och Lgy11

Sex education in Sweden is viewed as a subject that can be incorporated into many different school subjects in Swedish upper secondary school. Teachers in Swedish, however, are rarely educated in sex education, it is up to themselves to make sure that they have the knowledge and means to incorporate sex education into their lessons in Swedish. In this study seven textbooks for the courses Swedish 1 and 2 were analyzed to investigate whether they provide teachers and students with content connected to sex education. The study also focuses on what sort of sex educational content is present or absent, in the textbooks. The results are then compared to a previous study that analyzed textbooks in Swedish during the previous curriculum. The results show that in Swedish 1 2.5 % of all the content is related to sex education, compared to 6.5 % in the corresponding course during the previous curriculum, Swedish A. Moreover, 10.2 % of the texts in the textbooks for Swedish 2 are related to sex educational content, compared to 8.7 % in the corresponding course during the previous curriculum, Swedish B. The most common sex educational contents in the textbooks are "Love" and "Relationships". The least common sex educational contents in the textbooks were "Masturbation", "Reproduction, biology, the body" and "Pornography".

Lyriksamtalet i gymnasieundervisningen : Elevers attityder till lyrik och lyriksamtalets attitydförändringskraft.

This study examines Swedish high school pupils and their attitudes towards lyric poetry. Further more it is also a study to test if a lyric poetry conversation session can change already existing attitudes towards lyric poetry among Swedish high school pupils. The results showed that the pupuls didn’t have much of expiriences of lyric poetry. Therefore a determination of their attitudes is very hard to state. Their main picture of lyric poetry was that it consists with poems that were shorter than other text forms and contained rhyme. The lyric poetry conversation session worked although very well as a learning instrument for high school kids, but as an attitude changer it will remain hard evaluated because of the pupils minor experiences, and also because of the short time this study continued.
