Previous issue date: 2010-06-28 / This work discusses the concept of existence, presented in major work of
Martin Heidegger, Being and time. This concept will be characterized as the singular
way of being of the man, named in the context of Being and time, Dasein. Thus, we
address the issue in four stages. At first, we present a brief exposition of Heidegger s
ontological project, necessary for a correct understanding of all this work. At this time,
should be highlighted why Dasein figure as the privileged being and, thus,
thematized throughout the book. In the second phase, the theme being developed is
the existence as a new way of understanding the entity that exists always in relation
with being. Since, in Being and time, Heidegger abandons the older categories that
only apply to entities other than ourselves, and forge the existential expression to
refer to the characteristics of Dasein. In the third step we will address the opening of
existence as the place where the manifestation of being is given, as will e shown that
the decay is the instance that characterizes the improper existence, but through the
anguish it can choose to be at their own since it do not run away to be faced with
their true condition. Finally, at the last moment of our thesis, the aim is to explain how
the phenomenon of death and conscience allow the fundamental openness of Dasein
to its own existence.
Desse modo, abordamos o tema em quatro momentos. No primeiro momento,
apresentamos uma breve exposição do projeto ontológico heideggeriano, necessária
para uma correta compreensão do todo deste trabalho. Neste primeiro momento,
No

Previous issue date: 2012-08-21 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The problem that motivated us in the preparation of this study was to answer the question: how does the appearance of the world and how to become aware of such an appearance? Problem that Sartre and became the maximum of existentialism where the existence precedes the essence. We`ll try, in the course of our work, presenting the arguments used by Sartre that justify such affirmation and check if, in fact, it is possible to agree with an existential philosophy along the sartrianos lines. For that, we`ll see the phenomenological method that will assist us in the reflection on the fundamental structures of mundane appearance, central theme present in the husserliana phenomenology and sartriana`s foundation. This appearance will reveal the human reality as emanating from the most intimate of be; this human reality will be described in phenomenological philosophy of Sartre as consciousness, which conceptualizes as intentionality. Being intentionality is to take the constant motion of transcendence, that is, the exit of yourself. So it is necessary to expel everything there is or inhabits the consciousness. Making empty consciousness or translucent, requires that we understand the consciousness. Being conscious is to exist and the question of existence arises immediately with the human reality that asks about your way of being in the world. We will approach the existential problems of consciousness and the need for recognition of the same existence from reflexivity. In this way, we will develop how consciousness exists immediately, this is, how the consciousness appears intended to the objects of the world, how if seizes, first as a way thoughtless as a phenomenon of world. This mundane phenomenon that reveals the consciousness and is, at the same time, revealed by it. In this way, the appearances of world and consciousness occur simultaneously and interdependent. This concurrency between world and consciousness are the poles of the same phenomenon. It is the monism of the phenomenon that is constituted of these two realities of being, that is, the object appeared the In-himself and the consciousness - the To-himself - are constituent parts of the same reality that cannot be seized separately. The existence, although unique, is paradoxically, constituted of two modalities of being. Despite having to recognize these two modalities to be as amalgamated, we can only recognize them from a long journey argumentative of phenomenological reflection, once we can only recognize the existence of the world and consciousness from the phenomenological process of reflexivity. In other words, we can only know what already exists since the knowledge doesn´t have itself the creative force or the power to confer being what is not yet or does not exist. Thus, the knowledge or the reflection are fundamental to the development of phenomenology, although this same phenomenology requires the recognition of something prior or immediate that precedes it and enables your cognitive achievement.

Existência e não existência de soluções globais para uma equação de onda do tipo p-Laplaciano / Existence and non-existence of global solutions for a wave equation with the p-Laplacian operatorFabio Antonio Araujo de Campos 15 March 2010 (has links)
Neste trabalho estudamos a equação de ondas do tipo p-Laplaciano \'u IND. tt\' - \'DELTA\' IND.p u + \'(- \'DELTA\' POT. alpha\' u IND. t\' = \' [u] POT.q - 2 u, definida num domínio limitado limitado do \'R POT. n\', com 2 \' > ou = \' p < q e 0 < \' alpha\' < 1. \'alpha\' \' u IND. t\' = \'[u] POT. q - 2 u, defined in a bounded domain of \'R POT n\', with 2 \'> or =\' p < q and 0 < \' alpha\' < 1. By using the Faedo-Galerkin method we prove the existence of weak global solutions for small initial data. We also study the polynomial decay of the associate energy. The blow-up of solutions in finite time is considered for negative initial energy

históricas do mundo. / The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze how Paul Tillich understands and relates the concepts of love and ontology in his various works. It is possible to perceive throughout the text that Tillich presents love as an ethical principle and ontological foundation and, therefore, brings with it many ambiguities. In this way, he explores
the concept of love from what he calls "different qualities", taking as reference the greek understandings of eros, philia, epithymia (or libido) and agape. The hypothesis that guides this work is that there is a line of reasoning present in Tillich's thought, which seems at all times to insist on overcoming the ambiguities of life and the fragmentary character to which the human being is subjected. Hence, essential questions such as his understanding of ontology, his understanding of the importance of myth in religious language, and his interpretation of the fall as the transition from the essence to the existence that results in existential alienation are discussed. But the
focus of the dissertation is to explore how Tillich presents the power of love as one that reunites human being to God, the foundation of his being; with his neighbor; and especially with himself. Finally, the text exposes how Tillich understands that the relationship between agape and eros is essential for understanding love as a single and indivisible force, capable of closing the ambiguities of life and presenting itself
as grace to the human being, opening possibilities for overcoming the laws and the problematic of the contextualization of ethics in the historical transitions of the world.

In this dissertation we study an elliptic problem in a bounded Lipschitz domain. Part of the boundary is moving and oscillates rapidly in the variable representing the space. Thus, we have a multi-scale free boundary problem. This problem has applications, for instance, in the construction of semiconductor films taking into account that the surface of the film is changing by chemical vapor deposition. The study of such a model leads us to questions of existence and uniqueness for a system involving an elliptic equation with mixed boundary conditions coupled to a hyperbolic equation by means of a free boundary condition. Furthermore, a result on approximation by homogenization is shown. In fact, an estimate in terms of the H1-norm of the error committed by to approximate the real free boundary problem by the homogenized one is proved / Mestrado / Matematica / Mestre em Matemática

Contribution à l'étude de l'équation de Boltzmann homogène / Contribution to the study of the homogeneous Boltzmann equationXu, Liping 29 June 2017 (has links)
This thesis mainly studies the 3D homogeneous Boltzmann equation for hard potentials and moderately soft potentials and the equivalence between some jumping SDE and the corresponding PDE. In particular, we compute the multifractal spectrum of some stochastic processes, study the well-posedness and the propagation of chaos for the Boltzmann equation. The purpose of the first chapter is to study the pathwise properties of the stochastic process $(V_t)_{t\geq0}, representing the time-evolution of the velocity of a typical particle in a gas modeled by the Boltzmann equation for hard or moderately potentials. We show that this process is multifractal and has a deterministic spectrum. For hard potentials, we also give the multifractal spectrum of the process $X_t =\int_0^t V_s ds$, representing the time-evolution of the position of the typical particle. The second chapter is devoted to study the uniqueness of the weak solution to the Boltzmann equation in the class of all measure solutions, in the case of moderately soft potentials. This allows us to obtain a quantitive rate of propagation of chaos for Nanbu particle system for this singular interaction. Finally in the third chapter, we extend Figalli’s work [19] to study the relation between some jumping SDE and the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation. We prove that for any weak solution $(ft)_{t\in[0,T]}$ of the PDE, there exists a weak solution to the SDE of which the time-marginals are given by the family $(f_t)_{t\in[0,T]$

The Blafringo-Arumerican in William Melvin Kelley’s Works : African American Blackness between Concept and Lived ExperienceBlec, Yannick 09 December 2016 (has links)
Blackness is one of the keywords of the African American literature of the 1960s. It is to be read in each and every word that an Afro-American writer would put down on the paper. As a Black Arts Movement writer, William Melvin Kelley sets blackness forth in his works so that the black population can better struggle against segregation and other forms of racism. Yet, he does not only conceptualize the African American person by writing him or her up, but above all, he depicts them. For Kelley, the role of the author is primarily to show people, not disguised ideas resulting from some other black ideology. It is this pattern – the passage from a real world to a fictitious one, as well as to an ideological representation – that I will study in my dissertation. However, I am first going to note down the transformation in Kelley’s conduct toward race relations as he goes from the narrator to the activist. This change is to be seen in the difference that exists in the verve between his first novel and the last that was published. This renovation will also be linked to the recent direction taken by Kelley in his more recent writings. Phenomenology, Black existentialism, sociology and of course literature will be the bases for this dissertation. The analysis will insist on black existence as seen by William Melvin Kelley. The writer does not only act as a representative of black people, but as one who must help the “Africamerican understand the American society in order to improve his or her social and cultural position.”

Becoming Other: Virtual Realities in Contemporary Science FictionFranks, Jamie N 17 March 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis was to explore the boundary between human and other created by virtual worlds in contemporary science fiction novels. After a close reading of the three novels: Surface Detail, Existence, and Lady of Mazes, and the application of contemporary literary theories, the boundary presented itself and led to the discovery of where the human becomes other. The human becomes other when it becomes lost to the virtual world and no longer exists or interacts with material reality. Each of the primary texts exhibits both virtual reality and humanity in different ways, and each is explored to find where humanity falls apart. Overall, when these theories are applied to real life there is no real way to avoid the potential for fully immersive virtual worlds, but there are ways to avoid their alienating effects.

Between philosophy and ʿIrfān : interpreting Mullā Ṣadrā from the Qajars to Post-Revolutionary IranEsmail, Zoheir Ali January 2015 (has links)
This thesis examines the interpretive tradition of Mullā Ṣadrā in the context of the schools of Tehran and Qum. Mullā Ṣadrā’s transcendental philosophy (al-ḥikmah al-mutaʿālīyah or ḥikmat) avails itself to a number of readings; however, this thesis focuses on the philosophical and mystical (ʿirfānī) readings in terms of their development, transmission and their impact on how ḥikmat is understood in the modern Iranian seminary (ḥawza). The way in which a text is read in the ḥawza has great implications for the development of ideas, as the ḥawza uses a text based system to train students in a particular field. While both readings were studied by the majority of transcendental philosophers (ḥukamāʾ) in the school of Tehran, the school of Qum saw a greater separation between the readings and I show that for a number of reasons, including the introduction of seminal texts written by ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī, a preference developed for a more philosophical reading of transcendental philosophy. I examine evidence for the different preferences of the ḥukamāʾ for either a more philosophical or ʿirfānī reading of ḥikmat through an examination of their writings on the subjects of existence (wujūd), guardianship (walāyah) and resurrection (maʿād) which act as case studies. The theoretical implications of both approaches are examined in each chapter as well as their interdependence. The schools of Tehran and Qum built on Mullā Ṣadrā’s framework and provided new interpretations of important issues. Apart from the intricate discussions on the core aspects of ḥikmat, Muḥammad Riżā Qumshihī’s masterful examination of the Seal of the Saints and ʿAlī Mudarris Zunūzī’s philosophy of bodily resurrection are examples of a thriving interpretive tradition in Iran and constitute significant developments of important philosophical and ʿirfānī concepts from the ideas of their predecessors.

Vývoj komerčního zdravotního pojištění v ČR a jeho koexistence vedle systému veřejného zdravotního pojištění. / The Development of Commercial Health Insurance in the Czech Republic and its Co-existence with the System of Public Health InsuranceVálková, Stanislava January 2008 (has links)
This thesis is aimed at learning selected aspects of the private health insurance system in OECD countries and its co-existence side by side with the public health insurance. Introductory chapters describe theoretic starting points and principles of functioning of the health insurance system in harmony with existing models of the healthcare policy. The analytical part of the thesis, using qualitative methods of investigation, deals with the development and the current state of the system of the health insurance in the Czech Republic from 1989 and characterizes briefly major problems being encountered and solved. Furthermore, the thesis maps trends of the health insurance in selected OECD countries, showing issues within the structure of healthcare system expenses in countries followed and their influence on the system of the health insurance. The thesis is also informing about present problems on the private health insurance market in OECD countries precisely as described in a study made by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. The final chapter compares the mentioned health insurance systems from the point of view of co-payment and co-existence.
