Att få syn på sin verksamhet : förskolepersonalens erfarenheter av pedagogisk dokumentation / To get a view of their practice : preschool staff experience of pedagogical documentation

Lindfors, Sandra January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of my study was to gain further knowledge on how preschool staff works with pedagogical documentation as a tool in their daily activities. It is a tool that should be used by all preschool staff. To find out what experiences preschool staffs have about pedagogical documentation a qualitative interview method was used as the best way to get informative answers, as preschool staff could respond with their individual experience as base. I also wanted to know what they do in their documentation to make every single child’s needs visible. I have referred to findings from relevant previous research which I applied to analyze findings from my study. The finding indicates that preschool staff considers pedagogical documentation as a tool that should be used in order to visualize activities and children’s learning process. A learning process develops when children are challenged in their education, when new ideas and knowledge appear. By documenting practice and children’s learning process there is opportunity to structure activities based on children’s various needs and interest, according to the preschool staff. All preschool staff has a view on how documentation should be done but how it´s executed differs depending on each ones personal experience. All preschool staff considers it to be a process that constantly should evolve, where new possibilities and views can be made visible and contribute to exploration of new possibilities and views going forward. The findings in the study shows is that pedagogic documentation can contribute to secure activities in teaching that are based on children’s interests and needs.

A changed of occupational of exercise : A qualitative study about how educationalists have change working by the start of a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool

Claesson, Jenny, Holgersson, Marlén January 2009 (has links)
This is a qualitative examination based upon four interviews with educationalists who is working on a recently opened preschool inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia. The study has a phenomenologist perspective where people’s experiences are in focus to discern common aspects and patterns. After the Second World War the Reggio Emilia philosophy grew in northern Italy under the management of Loris Malaguzzi. This philosophy was introduced in Sweden in the beginning of 1980 by Anna Barsotti and Karin Wallin. The philosophy of Reggio Emilia speaks about the three pedagogues – the preschools teachers, the children and the environment, and how they all interplay and affect one another. The purpose of this study is to find out how educationalists have experienced change working Reggio Emilia-inspired. In the literary part of the study we describe the origin of the Reggio Emilia’s philosophy, the fundamental ideas and the emergence in Sweden. Our conclusions are that the attitude of the educationalists has changed positively within five occupational areas: cooperation within the workgroup, the common perspective of children’s capabilities, the educationalist documents, the project-based learning and the vision of the environment role in learning.

A qualitative study with focus on age homogeneouspreschools work with childrens participation and influence

Skogholm, Malin January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to bring further knowledge into how educators in homogeneous pre-schools work with children's participation as well as their ability to influence their daily school life. The study will also identify what the differences are for different age groups and how educators connect their work with the curriculum. The results have been accumulated by interviewing four educators and a principal in a homogeneous pre-school. The results of the study show that the educators believe that it is important for children to participate and have a say in day to day pre-school life. The use of pedagogical documentation is a tool used to help notice every individual child. Through this documentation they are able to adjust their way of working, the education level and the surrounding environment to cater to the children's interests and needs. The results also show that the educators found it easier to include a child's needs and interests when working with children of the same age.

Pedagogisk dokumentation : En kvalitativ studie som beskriver hur utförande, utvärdering och presentation genomförs i praktiken

Bolinder, Siri January 2013 (has links)
With the curriculum Lpfö98, and its revised version 2010, the demands for evaluation of the quality of the preschool have been emphasized. Accordingly, the activities need to be systematically documented, followed up and assessed, to be improved. Most importantly, this includes continuous follow up, documentation and analysis of the development and learning of the children. This is usually carried out by means of pedagogical documentation, but how this working tool should be used in practice is not totally clear for all pedagogues. The aim of this study was therefore to investigate how pedagogical documentation is performed, assessed and made accessible for the children, parents and staff-members, in practical preschool work. In the study, four pedagogues (two preschool teachers and two pedagogical mentors), working in two different preschools where the Reggio Emilia concept is practiced for pedagogical documentation, were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire. The informants described pedagogical documentation as a complex and time-consuming working tool, albeit necessary and helpful to fulfill the requirements of the curriculum. In one of the preschools, portfolios were used to collect and present the documentation, whereas the other preschool used a so called BUL-wall (Barn, Utveckling, Lärande, i.e., Children, Development, Learning). Both preschools carried out their systematic documentations preferentially as specific projects. The documentations were then used for dialogue and reflections with the colleagues and/or feed-back with the children; this is how the pedagogical documentation is formed, which allows the pedagogues to perceive the learning process of the children as well as their own. In this way, the pedagogical documentation forms the basis for evaluation and analysis of the preschool activities, and results in shared decisions for improvements to accomplish the children’s needs and challenges. From the findings in this study, it appears that different techniques for collecting and presenting the documentations may be feasible to attain the main objectives of the pedagogical documentation.

Rosell, Sofia, Söderholm, Alexandra January 2014 (has links)
Background: The request for the Reggio Emilia practice has expanded enormously the last couple of years within the Swedish preschools. This particular practice describes the environment as a third educator. This third educator is supposed to work as - not only a tool - but also a support to ease children's learning experiences and help develop their mind. Previous research has shown that design of, for instance, furniture has a way of affecting the children's learning process and development. Aims: The purpose of this study is to see how two different teams of preschool educators on two differed Reggio Emilia inspired preschools work and handle the physical indoor environment. Method: We started out by contacting Reggio Emilia inspired preschools. Four educators were chosen from two different preschools to be a part of the research. The interviews were held both in groups but also individually Results: The result of the research indicates that the educators are creating an indoor environment with the children's desires and needs in mind. The educators see the need of having different areas within the indoor environment, so that the children can learn from them and therefore enter a variety of knowledge. The indoor environment is there to facilitate the learning process, supporting children through the process of learning during their time in preschool. During our research we learned that factors plays different roles in affecting the shaping of the indoor environment. Conclusion: The research shows that there are factors that affect the educators’ work and process of creating the preschools physical indoor environment. But according to the educators themselves this is never an excuse for less learning for the children. It’s rather the educator’s duty to find solutions and still make the best indoor environment for the children. It is the educators combined creativity and imagination that creates different possibilities for the children's learning process at the preschool.

Pedagogisk dokumentation och estetiska lärprocesser i förskolan : En kvalitativ studie om pedagogisk dokumentation i anknytning till estetiska lärprocesser på tre Reggio Emilia – inspirerade förskolor / Pedagogical documentation and aesthetic learning processes in preschool : A qualitative study about pedagogical documentation with connection to aesthetic learning processes in three Reggio Emilia – inspired preschools

Kylén, Linnéa January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this study is to see how preschool – teacher´s work with pedagogical documentation and aesthetic learning processes and how they would want to change in their working environments. I interviewed preschool – teachers that worked in Reggio Emilia – inspired preschools. The results show that they worked with a process – diary with the purpose to see the learning processes together with the children. They have time to discuss and reflect about activities with co-workers but also with the children. They worked with aesthetic but thought it was hard to discuss and reflect about it hence they thought it was because of the lack of inspiration and interests.

O papel do outro na aquisição da escrita pela criança: o construtivismo na alfabetização e a psicanálise / The role of the other within the child´s writing acquisition: the constructivism within literacy and psychoanalysis

Julia Maria Borges Anacleto 18 November 2013 (has links)
The following Masters thesis aims at dealing with the role of the other in the process of writing acquisition sustained by the child. Emilia Ferreira founded an approach to the matter of writing acquisition referenced in Piagetian constructivism theory. Her researches had a great impact in Brazilian educational field as well as generated controversies around the question of the social character of language and the role of the other in learning. From Ferreiros works analyses we here discuss other studies which depart from other theoretical references (historical-cultural, and sociological ones) in order to consider the social aspects implied in the childs writing acquisition process, displacing the language conception and its insertion within the social field. Our third, thus the more important, reference regards the psychoanalytical theory of Subject formation, which is able to provide elements to interpreting the referred question not in a sociological perspective, nor in a historical-cultural one, once it discusses the effect of representation by the Significant. Therefore, from the notion of the Other and its operation of alienation and separation, this work intends to contribute to the debate on the role of the other in writing acquisition and provide tools to a dialogue with the psychogenetics perspective.
