RELACIONAMENTO AMOROSO: SOFRIMENTO FEMININO NA CONTEMPORANEIDADE

Issy, Rosangela Maria Ribeiro 02 March 2007 (has links)

Confronting the psychoanalytic theory and the clinical experience, we can perceive that the feminine talk meets certain privileged social positions in the contemporaneity, up to the point of denying the place of the absence. The feminine talk becomes alienated into an imaginary world, woven by the social. Other, and comes to enjoy the lures provided by it. However, the emancipation of that feminine talk in the economic and legal areas cause the women to illusively see themselves complete, placing the other sex in an object position. As a consequence, we notice that one of most frequent complaints coming out in the psychoanalytic clinic, nowadays permeating the feminine talk, is that they are successful women regarding their social life, while on the other hand, there is a complete lack of any love relationship.

Relating Cognitive Models of Computer Games to User Evaluations of Entertainment

Piselli, Paolo M 21 March 2006 (has links)
As the interactive entertainment industry matures, we need a better understanding of what makes software entertaining. A natural starting point is the application of traditional Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) tools to interactive entertainment software. Cognitive models are tools that HCI researchers have used to model users' thought processes and evaluate interface design. With this research we investigate the relationship between the complexity of an interaction and the entertainment experienced by the user. We designed a simple computer game, created a normative model for how a user plays this game, built several variations of this game such that normative models of these variants differed across two factors: pace and complexity. User studies were conducted on these variations, and we compared these factors to user performance and self-reported user enjoyment.

Instigated by the desire to know about how hysteria presents itself in this discourse, we conducted, at a first moment of the work, a passage on its history, from the Antiquity to Freud, when hysteria and hysterical patients gained a new place. This place is the listening that the father of psychoanalysis destined to the desire of the hysterics. Lacan, in his re-reading of Freud, postulated that hysteria is a strategy regarding the desire, because in its particularity hysteria is defined by the desire of desire. In this way, it constitutes a form of social bond, in the later formulation of Lacan’s theory of discourses. Therefore, if hysteria has its characteristic dissatisfaction of desire, our attention is placed on how this particularity occurs in the capitalist discourse. In this discourse, what prevails is the erasure of the subject and the promise of completeness through objects taken as merchandise, which, in turn, generates a lack-to-enjoyment (manque-à-jouir) in the hysterical subject. However, Lacan postulates that desire is not so easily concealed and, in this sense, hysteria can serve as a resistance against the massification of capitalist discourse, for the dissatisfaction of desire always insists. Finally, we verify which are some possible answers and possibilities of the hysteric before the social bond established by the capitalist discourse, its links and outcomes / Este trabalho ocupa-se de estudar a histeria – conceito basilar da teoria e práxis psicanalítica – no discurso capitalista.

Investigating depression and quality of life in adults diagnosed with HIV or AIDS

Loonat, Naadhira January 2009 (has links)

HIV and AIDS are disease conditions that have led to high mortality rates in Southern Africa since the late 1970s. The socio-economic system has led to the unequal spread of resources&rsquo / and vulnerability and exposure to HIV is more prevalent in poorer communities. The added burden of life stresses cause for many to be isolated and stigmatised and are often not equipped with the necessary support and coping skills to deal with the magnitude of these circumstances. There is a high prevalence of mental disorders and especially depression amongst individuals infected with either HIV or AIDS. Research shows that stressful life events can impact HIV course progression and impacts the QoL of those infected with HIV or AIDS. Given the social and psychological context of HIV and AIDS, the aim of the study was to examine the relationship between depression and QoL in a sample of adults diagnosed with HIV or AIDS. This quantitative, cross-sectional study used the Becks Depression Inventory II (BDI II) and the Quality of Life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire (Q-LES-Q), to measure the variables concerned. This battery of&nbsp / questionnaires was administered to a purposive sample of adult individuals diagnosed with HIV or AIDS residing in a previously disadvantaged area in the Cape Metropole region. Using SPSS,&nbsp / data was analysed and descriptive and inferential statistics were conducted. The study found that there were more women than men with HIV or AIDS that were found to be depressed (mild, moderate and severe depression). Furthermore, the depressive state increased when the progression of the disease increased. There were generally no significant differences in the QoL&nbsp / experienced within various areas of life and overall life satisfaction experienced. However, the QoL experienced in work was lower. There was a significant relationship between the depressed state and QoL and life satisfaction experienced in household duties and tasks. The contribution of this study includes informing the larger research project, with regards to future treatment&nbsp / regimes. It will update statistics on the prevalence of depression and QoL of adults diagnosed with HIV or AIDS in the area. This study is framed within a biopsychosocial model and is&nbsp / theoretically underpinned by Beck&rsquo / s theory of depression. Key words: HIV, AIDS, adults, depression, quality of life (QoL), Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI II), Quality of Life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire (Q-LES-Q), Antiretrovirals (ARV&rsquo / s), prevalence data, correlations.

Gagnon, Julie-Catherine 01 1900 (has links)
Youths sports participation in Canada reaches lower levels each year and tends to become lower for the adolescents as they grow in age, especially when they enter high school. This study examines the obstacles and reasons of sport participation and the enjoyment felt in sports and physical education classes. A quantitative method was used for this study. Data collection was conducted via an online survey. The convenience sample consists of 2001 francophone students from the first to the fifth year of high school in a Canadian and francophone school. Among these students, 367 were included as sport participants (sport participation of four hours per week minimum), 241 ex-sport participants and 142 non-sport participants, for a total of 750 students included in the analyzes. The results suggest that, in general, the most important source of obstacle seems to be time constraints, while the reasons that stood out as the most important referred to sports enjoyment dealing specifically with the feeling of pleasure associated with the activity itself. Results also suggest that the obstacles and reasons of sports participation seem to vary according to the type of sport, age and sex of the adolescent. Actual sport participants would experience higher levels of sports enjoyment than ex- sports participants in sports and in physical education classes. Girls were more likely than boys to consider the obstacles included in this study as barriers to sport. Barriers also appear to be more numerous with age. Sports enjoyment in physical education seems to be higher that sports enjoyment in sports. Our results also demonstrate the existence of a significant correlation between the sport enjoyment in physical education and in sports.

Clinique de la psychose ordinaire avec des enfants et des adolescents / Ordinary psychosis clinic in children and adolescents

Saldarriaga Alzate, Ana Victoria 09 December 2017 (has links)
This thesis approaches the clinical psychosis with children and adolescents from two different diagnoses: in the first part, the diagnosis of "ordinary psychosis", Lacanian orientation, and, in the second, what has been qualified by certain guidelines post-Freudian "limit", be it a "case", a "state" or a "disorder”. The respective case series have been examined from texts written by psychoanalysts of each orientation. In this thesis, we have been able to verify that, when there have been immediate and positive changes in the actual course of the sessions, it has been thanks to the establishment of the transfer. From this point of view, Lacan has emphasized that the cases qualified as "borderline" are really acts of acting out, through which the subject seeks to turn the transfer of the imaginary register of significations towards the register of the signifiers. In this record, what counts is the symbolic operation in which are taken these signifiers of the language or the lalangue pronounced by the subject. In the ordinary psychosis, the imaginary substitutions, achieved by the subject alone, have acquired, in the presence of the other reality of the transference, stable symbolic supports. In the extraordinary psychosis, when these substitutions have been lacking and the subject makes their call to the other through different manifestations of enjoyment, the acquisition of significant support is sufficient to achieve meaningful subjective changes and the establishment of social bonds. Thanks to the transfer, the extraordinary state becomes ordinary and one can say that in the clinical psychosis there is a before and an after the transfer.

Porovnání metod výuky matematiky se zaměřením na geometrii / Comparing methods of mathematics teaching with a focus on geometry

Stříbrná, Eliška January 2018 (has links)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to observe, characterize ale reflect two well-known methods of teaching mathematics - so-called classical method and method according to professor Hejný, on the example of two second grade class teachers of elementary school with a focus on geometry. In the theoretical part I list several research works concerning class room observation. I use these to set up methodology of my own research. Moreover, the methods are characterized according to the literature and the analysis of the textbooks. Also the outputs of the Framework Education Programme (in Czech "Rámcový vzdělávací program") are presented in this theoretical part. I use these outputs to evaluate whether the method leads students to what they should know. The practical part consists of observing lessons of two teachers, my own teaching experience in the given classes and final questionnaire for students. Data collected from these observations are analysed with the help of qualitative and quantitative methods. The representative of the so-called classical method put emphasis on repetition and system. He usually asks students questions that require a shorter response. Students do not enjoy the school and geometry that much, but the knowledge results are quite good. The representative of the method according...

TALKING THE TALK EQUALS WALKING THE WALK? : A Quantitative Study of the Attitude-Action Gap in the Sharing Economy

Nordström, Anders, Esseen, Rebecka January 2018 (has links)
Customer behavior has always been of interest for business researchers. However, it is just in recent years that there has been an increasing interest in the phenomenon of the sharing economy. It has been suggested that there is an ongoing shift in the traditional way of consuming. The idea behind the sharing economy is that two different parties can make use of their underused assets through an online platform. Previous quantitative research in the area of interest mainly focuses on the motivational factors for participation in the sharing economy; four of the most prominent factors were therefore identified and further investigated. In this thesis, these factors are referred to as drivers and more specifically, the drivers of enjoyment, sustainability, convenience, and financial benefits. Further, previous research gives an indication of a discrepancy between customer attitudes and actions when making a decision in the sharing economy. With this in mind, the purpose of this thesis is to describe customer behavior in the sharing economy. More specifically, this thesis seeks to study the relationship between attitudes and actions of customers in the sharing economy. Taking this into account, the following research question was formulated: What is the relationship between attitudes and actions of the customers participating in the sharing economy of Rentl AB? In order to fulfill the purpose of this thesis, the Swedish sharing economy business Rentl was addressed. To answer the research question a quantitative research strategy was followed where a survey was sent out to randomly chosen customers of Rentl and 145 responses were collected. The collected data was statistically analyzed by the use of Paired T-tests and Regression Analyses. Further, the empirical findings regarding the four identified drivers were analyzed in accordance with the theoretical framework. The identified attitude-action gap is therefore analyzed by the application of basic customer decision-making, the theory of Bounded Rationality, the Theory of Reasoned Action & the Theory of Planned Behavior, and finally the Self-Determination Theory. The authors established that there is a positive relationship between attitudes and actions regarding the extrinsic drivers, convenience and financial benefits. However, it was further established that the intrinsic drivers, enjoyment and sustainability, do not have a significant influence on the actual actions. In other words, a positive attitude toward enjoyment and sustainability as drivers for participation in the sharing economy does not necessarily translate into actions. Thus, the authors identified that there is an attitude-action gap in the sharing economy. In addition to the theoretical contributions, this research further contributes with practical aspects. More importantly, the sharing business Rentl is provided with a better understanding for the customer behavior in their business. Considering that the findings of this research identify convenience and financial benefits as significant drivers for participation, this can be emphasized in marketing contexts by managers.

O direito à convivência comunitária: a criança e o adolescente no contexto urbano / The right to community life: children and adolescents in the urban

Benedicto de Vasconcellos Luna Gonçalves Patrão 23 August 2010 (has links)
Gated communities option by the end of community interaction spaces considered the first victim sibling of a city that loses the arduous struggle faced to withstand the advancement of spatial isolation of residents most of the attractions of the city life. Considering the importance of public education of children and adolescents, the issue involving the community coexistence is undeniably based on need effective public policies targeted to the revitalization and readjustment of urban spaces, seeking to safeguard the quality of life of those who deserve special protection by the State. He, therefore, that this work will be carried out. To demonstrate that, in relation to children and adolescents, hodiernamente understood as human beings that deserve special attention from the family, society and State, the Fellowship Community represents a fundamental right, in parallel to the right to family life, in which both are also provided for in the constitutional standard, through article 227 of the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil 1988 and infraconstitucional, by means of article 4 and 19 of the Statute of the child and adolescent.
