Le territoire et la performance sportive de haut-niveau : étude anthropologique des succès de l'OGC Nice du stade brestois 29 / Territory and top level sports performance : anthropological study of the successes of OGC Nice and Stade Brestois 29

Medjad, Eric 15 October 2011 (has links)
Two professional football clubs, OGC Nice and Stade Brestois 29 reached the upper division in 2003 and 2004 respectively (Ligue 1 for OGC Nice and Ligue 2 for Stade Brestois 29). In order to determine whether their results were influenced by social issues or not, the concept of performance will be split into two processes (competitive and performative). In both cases, the series of semi-structured thematic interviews based on journalists’ speeches on their sports career shows the predominance of local identity during an event triggering their performance and during which the team transcends itself. The Kairos received from the gods stands for this particular moment when their performances begin. Matches are becoming sports rites aiming the sacred. Such rite originates in the sacrificial rites but mimesis is not use for transferring violence onto a scapegoat. It becomes the medium to get to the sacred. The strength which is supposed to go from society to the team is nothing but the player’s awareness of his ability to mobilize his own strength together with his team mates. Sport season is therefore a perpetual reconstruction of society with seemingly tales and myths as its framework. It becomes the embodiment of a fantasy based on human emotions. Man is somehow a territory where imaginary is linked to reality: he is an unconscious champion who only discovers it thanks to the Kairos.

Chiropractic adjustive therapy on sprint time and vertical jump height in rugby players

Conradie, Érnsl 01 April 2014 (has links)
M.Tech. (Chiropractic) / Objective: To determine the effect of chiropractic adjustive therapy to the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joints on performance indicators such as sprint times and vertical jump height in asymptomatic, moderate-to-highly-active rugby players. Any dysfunction in the spine can affect biomechanics; neurological functioning of the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joints, as well as the surrounding muscles, and can therefore decrease performance. Methods: The study involved 60 asymptomatic male participants who were moderate-to-highly-active individuals as determined by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). The 60 participants were divided equally into two groups: the experimental group (n=30) received chiropractic adjustments to the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joints, and the control group (n=30) rested for five minutes. The study design was based on the once-off model. The objective data used in the study was obtained by the vertical jump height test and the 30-metre sprint speed test. These tests were used to test the participants‟ explosive power and speed, and were obtained before and after the intervention. The immediate effect was obtained by comparing the measurements of the performance indicators before and after the intervention. Results: The objective results showed that there were improvements in vertical jump height for both the forwards and the backs (rugby players) in the experimental group. Following the chiropractic adjustment, the forwards increased their vertical jump heights by 0.007m (0.5050m-0.4980m) and the backs by 0.017m (0.5245m-0.5075m). In the control group, the forwards jumped 0.01m (0.5071m-0.4971m) lower than before the five-minute rest, and the backs jumped 0.0053m higher (0.5396m-0.5343m). In the sprint speed test, both the forwards and the backs in both the experimental and the control groups performed better when they completed the indicators after the interventions. The forwards in the experimental group ran 0.146s (4.8050s-4.6590s) faster, while the backs ran 0.1055s (4.6040s-4.4985s) faster. In the control group, the forwards ran 0.1358s (5.0329s-4.8971s) faster, while the backs ran 0.0474s (4.6961s-4.6487s) faster. vii Conclusion: In the experimental group, the results demonstrated performance improvements in both the vertical jump height test and the sprint speed test for the forwards as well as the backs. In the control group, the backs performed better in the vertical jump height and the sprint speed test, while the forwards in the control group performed better in the vertical jump height test and worse in the sprint speed test. The improvements in the experimental group occurred for both the forwards and the backs, and were greater than for the control group. It can therefore be suggested that the improvements noted were as a result of the chiropractic adjustments having provided a biomechanical advantage.

Správa a řízení fotbalu v České republice / Administration and Management of Football in the Czech Republic

Slavík, Michal January 2013 (has links)
The Football Association of the Czech Republic (FACR) board election triggered speculations about the governance of the association last year. Specifically, principles of transparency and democracy in the association were remarked. The aim of the thesis was to assess the level of transparency and democracy in the governance of the FACR and to compare the evaluation of the FACR governance by different stakeholders. A case study research design was chosen. Multiple sources of data collection were combined such as document analysis, media coverage analysis, interviews and a questionnaire survey. Results reveal low democracy of the FACR governance in spite of democratic governance design. Stakeholders do not feel to be involved in governance of FACR and they do not have the oportunity to take part in this process. Stakeholders' perception of transparency was better than the objective assessment of transparency. In particular, the financial transparency was the lowest. Thus, results provide new evidence to assumption that transparency is not enrooted in the society of CEE countries and the perception of transparency is biased.

L’intersubjectivité dans les communications entraîneur-entraînés dans le football des jeunes de haut niveau : accéder au vécu subjectif en situation / Intersubjective relationship in communication between managers and young players in professionnal football during matches

Turon, David 13 December 2018 (has links)
The role of coaches during top youth league football games is an issue which is discussed.Indeed, through the scientific literature that we have examined, the sense, the procedures and the underlying psychological processes, as well as the efficiency of coaches ' communications during a game has not been clearly analyzed in all their wealth. Our work questions intersubjectivity within the communications between players and coaches during high-level youth games. We cleared the implemented knowledges of action by the coahes to communicate and improve the players' practice. We have studied two types of game phases, namely the phases when players perform transition moves, and phases when they are not in movement, through an approach multimethods (observations and interviews) during case studies. Our study is centered on data triangulation that highlights the subjective perception of the actors. The results show that several levels of context structure the subjectivity of the actors and intersubjectivity process during communicative exchanges between coaches and players. In these two types of game phases, distinctive communication styles have emerged and we were able to identify relevant indicators reported by coaches regarding intersubjectivity, also we determined réccurences of functioning. We highlighted the players' psychological processes so as to better understand how they perceive instructions and how these make sense to them. Our results categorize three temporalities of construction of intersubjectivity in relation to communications in a football game situation between coaches and players.

Study of the potential of football tourism : Research based on three football leagues: English, Spanish and Russian

Ardeleanu, Dorian January 2020 (has links)
This study is based on first-league football teams from England, Spain and Russia. It demonstrates that football tourism has a big potential because the attendance on football stadiums has a positive effect over the number of visitors in the city, and this influence is stronger among teams that are historically more popular. Football trips can also contribute to decreasing the seasonality and the centralization of tourism. The questionnaire designed for supporters demonstrates that a higher percentage of fans of currently less competitive teams tend to visit away games, but it is explained through the fact that more successful clubs have supporters located far away, for whom performing such a thing is more troublesome. English supporters spend less money in their football visiting trips, but their journeys are also shorter and without many activities, which makes their habits different from the ones of a typical tourist. At the same time, Spanish football tourists spend more time and money while travelling. The respondents from both countries face similar problems while visiting a match, and the majority of them are infrastructural. Russian football tourists spend the most time and money in their journeys, visiting many places except for the football match itself, which makes their behaviour the closest to a typical tourist. However, during matches they also suffer from more serious issues related to the unfriendliness of police and of hosts.
