Olhares sobre o ano de 1968 nas lentes das revistas O Cruzeiro e Flama: uma abordagem da análise do discurso / Looks on the year 1968 on the lens of reviewed O cruzeiro and Flama: an of discourse analysis

Carvalho, Maria Teresa Nastri de 24 October 2008 (has links)
This research aims to check the relation between men and society through language. Thus, we have analyzed fait-divers magazines which used to be published both in Brazil and Portugal in the year of 1968- such as O Cruzeiro e Flama. Specifically, we have tried to detect the polyphony and the dialogism in those magazines so as to reveal the ethos of the issues, of the writers of such magazines and also of the people involved in the narrated facts. However, the polyphony did not detect the ideology of each publication which can show a certain obedience to the censorship imposed by the two countries in that time or else it can show options and interests of the owners of the magazines mentioned above. The research was based not only on the theory of French discourse analysis but also on some auxiliary linguistic theories which focus on the interaction and on certain authors like Bakhtin, Charaudeau and Maingueneau. The study of these theories has offered a chance to (re) view the importance of such a remarkable year in terms of changes of behavior, and also in terms of politics. Through the magazines it was possible to trace a historical route of that year in both countries. Taking into account the categories cited, the analysis provided an ample vision of each magazine. We have concluded that much of what happened in 1968 had not been clearly ideologically defined in both publications.

Récit autoritaire, thème de la pureté et place du lecteur dans Yûkoku (Patriotisme) et Honba (Chevaux échappés) de Mishima Yukio / Authoritarian Fiction, the Theme of Purity and the Place of the Reader in Yûkoku (Patriotism) and Honba (Runaway Horses) by Mishima Yukio

Garcin, Thomas 07 December 2015 (has links)
My thesis, entitled “Authoritarian Fiction, the Theme of Purity and the Place of the Reader in Yūkoku (Patriotism) and Honba (Runaway Horses) by Mishima Yukio”, questions the relation between ideology and literature in two of Mishima’s most controversial works: the short story Yūkoku, first published in January 1961, and the novel Honba, the second volume of Hōjō no umi (The Sea of Fertility, 1965-1970), serialized between February 1967 and August 1968, and published in one volume in February 1969. In the first part of my dissertation, I show that Yūkoku and Honba —by staging mythical heroes devoted to the Emperor, opposing pure and young characters to corrupted ones— schematically correspond to the genre of ideological novel as depicted in the seminal work of Susan Rubin Suleiman on French “roman à thèse” (Authoritarian Fictions, the Ideological Novel as a Literary Genre, 1983). In Japan as in the Western world, many critics have reacted adversely to the biased (if not sectarian) content of these texts. In the second and third parts of my thesis — the former devoted to Yūkoku and the latter to Honba — I unveil the complexity of these texts and show how they also provide original answers to authoritarian fiction’s specific challenge of reconciling ideology (which implies monosemy, manicheism and redundancies) with literature (which implies polysemy and ambiguity). The specific and twisted use of stereotypes, the themes of nihilism and simulacrum, or the complex rhetorical devices present in these texts offer new insights in both the fields of literary theory and Mishima studies.

Os pioneiros da Escola Nova, manifestos de 1932 e 1959: semelhanças, divergências e contribuições / Pioneers of the New School, manifestos of 1932 and 1959: similarities, differences and contributions.

Bedin, Brigitte 27 May 2011 (has links)
The dissertation proposal is to present, analyze and compare the Pioneer Manifestos of New Education from 1932 and the Manifesto to the People and Government: Once Again Summoned from 1959. The study then highlights the similarities, differences and contributions of those for Brazilian education. The work is theoretical, having a philosophical and historical character that belongs to the field of education, and is based on the literature of that area. In order to allow this, a historical overview was prepared in order to interpret the Manifestos, taking into account the facts surrounding their preparation, both before and after their release. The study spans from 1889 to 1932 and from 1933 to 1959, for the first and second Manifestos, respectively. This retrospective focused on politics, economy, society and education, besides highlighting the Catholic and progressive ideals. The study also presents the biographical data of the signatories, focusing on the profession, date of birth and death, as well as in the case of participants in the 1932 Manifesto, and if there was participation in the Manifesto of 1959 with the purpose of obtaining a profile of the signatories regarding the occupation and the continuation or not of the pioneer ideal. The most detailed biographies of Teixeira, Fernando de Azevedo and Lourenco Filho are included, given their importance in the context of the Manifestos. As a result of the analysis presented, I have a better understanding of this period, besides facilitating a survey of the contributions offered by the manifestos, as well as placing them in the current reality as a way to question the existence of possible remnants of that framework over the following decades.

Fremde Kinder und ideologische Staatsapparate : Wie Momo, Pippi und das Sams Ideologie entgehen / Alien Children and Ideological State Apparatuses – How Momo, Pippi, and the Sams escape ideology

Bonin, Helena January 2018 (has links)
Ideology, as explained by Louis Althusser, is used by ideological state apparatuses (ISAs) to reinforce the control of the dominant class. ISAs in turn consist of elements of society such as families, schools, and churches. In the works of Michael Ende, Astrid Lindgren, and Paul Maars, Momo, Pippi and the Sams defy the ideologies and norms of their respective societies. This thesis shows that the three children can do this because they are alien children and therefore exist beyond the reach of the ISAs of their respective worlds.

The teaching/learning environment provided by the project Teletandem: Transculturality in online interactions in foreign languages through webcam (TELLES, 2011) aims at promoting intercultural contact at low financial cost between two students who are speakers of different languages and from different countries. Within this context, a pair of learners helps each other learn their mother tongue (or language of proficiency). The virtual contacts established between them have the potential to promote reflection on the foreign languages as well as on the cultural differences. The objective of this dissertation is to show the materialization of ideologies in the participants’ utterances as they interact during oral sessions of teletandem in Portuguese language. Theoretically based on the works by Bakhtin and the Circle, this dissertation adopts the presupposition that contact among human beings is established by means of live communication and through ideological signs. This is also the way I consider the oral teletandem sessions that are analyzed in this dissertation. My study focuses on the ways that ideologies are constituted during the oral sessions of teletandem in partnerships between Brazilian and American students. Methodologically, this dissertation is grounded on qualitative-interpretative paradigms of data analysis, in the light of bakhtinian perspectives. By approaching the teletandem context and some concepts of Bakhtin and the Circle, I construct a discursive dialogical analysis by relating the contacts established between the partners and the Other-Self communication. The results obtained during the analysis offer, within the linguistic materiality, clues to valuation indices in the contacts between the partners. Among the results found in the first part of the analysis of the data, we find the ideological constitution of female subjects who face recurring themes in various social spheres, such as abortion, feminism and violence against women. In the second part of the data analysis, the results show the teletandem partners positioning towards judgments that are linked to socially charished religious values. They are judgements that value the homogeneity of their followers and end up excluding differences. Reflections on the constitution of ideologies within the teletandem context encompass and encourage new studies on cultures and on language in virtual foreign language teaching/learning environments.

Without disregarding this aspect, we intend to approach this phenomenon considering other aspects that could be contributing towards its maintenance. We seek, above all, to articulate it with the concepts of disciplinary power and ideology. The present study, therefore, tries to consider these aspects with the intention of learning the reasons that the mothers and the teachers produce concerning child labor in the cultivation of vegetables. We elected these participants because we considered that child labor has been reinforced by the disciplinary institutions and proponents of ideology, the family and the school, here represented, respectively, by the mothers and the teachers. To affect this study, we created focused groups with the mothers whose children are students and work in the cultivation of vegetables in Gramorezinho (neighborhood situated in the northern part of Natal, RN) and with the teachers of the neighborhood school (Escola Lourdes Goudeiro). The discussion of the participants was handled according to the perspective of discursive practices, attempting to articulate them with the notions of ideology and disciplinary power. In general, we perceived how much ideology and discipline are immersed in the discursive practices of the participants. Whereas, even though in some moments the reference to work as being something that takes time from the child to study and play is apparent, the participants attribute great importance to child labor. Both for the teachers and for the mothers, work is something that can free the children from laziness, from becoming criminals and from using drugs. It too constitutes an important alternative to idleness and to the permanence of the child in the streets / As tentativas de explica??o do trabalho infantil, na maioria das vezes, resumem-se ao aspecto econ?mico, procurando estabelecer uma rela??o de causalidade entre trabalho e pobreza.

January 2008 (has links)
Orientador: Sinésio Ferraz Bueno / Banca: Renato Bueno Franco. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The present study intends to investigate specific aspects of the ideology concept transformation elaborated initially by Karl Marx in relation to the approach promoted later in 20th century by Critical Theory. This study is divided into two moments and initially we analyzed the principles and elaboration of the ideology concept within Marxist theory. We investigated the main thoughts that influenced Marx's theory in order to go deeper in his specific analyses on the ideology concept. The theory of the ideology is central in all his work and holds several conceptual implications. During his life and production, Marx approached this concept in different ways, provoking, in his theoretical course, different readings. The first part will be destined to the study of the traditional Marxist conception on the ideology concept and, later, its elaboration in the theory of reification of Lukács. Certain discussions of Marxinian theory will be deepened and new approaches of social reality will be possible. The second moment of this study consists of the elaboration and analysis of the ideology concept for the Critical Theory, here represented by Horkheimer, Adorno and Marcuse. The constitution and the development of the concept in Critical Theory are characterized by an aspect of extreme complexity and heterogeneity. Placed at the Institute of Social Research, the study of these theoretical researchers can be approached singularly, even if many accomplished works have been born from partnerships and from apprehensions starting from a same problem. The ideology was focused in a first moment, in its traditional Marxist aspect as sphere of the dominance dissimulation, credited to the covering of the materiality. Differently, in the second moment of this study, investigated here through the Frankfurtians, the ideology started to be approached according to different qualitative... La littérature d'enfance et de jeunesse au Maroc de 1930 à 2000 : les enjeux culturels et idéologiques de la traduction du français en arabe / Childhood and youth literature in Morocco from 1930 to 2000 : cultural and ideological stakes in French to Arab translation

Behri, Souad 24 September 2014 (has links)
The thesis questions the place of childhood and youth literature within Morocco’s editorial landscape and aims at analysing the literary and cultural stakes entailed by a production which often calls upon mediation. In a historical and geographical context such as that of Morocco, characterized by its cultural and linguistic multiplicity, the word “mediation” takes on a very specific meaning. We put emphasis on the mediators implied by this editorial field and on a certain number of “negotiations” which sheds light on the research for a balance between various constraints and requirements. In these mediations, we analyse the questions raised by transferring a text meant for teenagers from its source culture into its target one, concerning a French into Arab translation, as well as the ideological and cultural stakes induced by two different worlds. Resistances at the cultural, ideological and discursive levels can be noted in all kinds of translation strategies. Comparing different intervention trends reveals different ways of implementing this mediation and analyses how ideological and cultural resistances are taken into account.

Invadindo o mundo público. Movimentos de mulheres (1945-1964) / Invading the Public World: Womens Movement (1945-1964)

Marcela Cristina de Oliveira Morente 04 May 2015 (has links)
This study has the purpose to analyze the inclusion of women in the public sphere, through the women movements and female associations filed by DEOPS/SP, between the years of 1945 and 1964. We propose to identify its objectives, projects, functional structure, dissemination strategies and the attraction of new affiliated and, also, analyze the social and politic profile of the women who have affiliated as militants from these movements and associations. We also have the intention to understand the mechanism of repression and maintenance of the Order defended by the State, through the repressor organ, the Politic Police. After the end of the Vargas\' authoritarian government, in 1945, Brazil experienced the return of democracy, with the reestablishment of governments elected directly by the people and a considerable economic development. The women have already stood out by occupying an important part of the São Paulo State\'s workforce, ensuring some civil rights, as the vote. Nevertheless, the popular movements were still seen by the State as potentially dangerous, and because of this, deserved of a strict vigilance by the Politic Police. Among the resistance actions, the women movements and associations have had a distinguished role, this besides they represent an established order\'s threat, these women also represented a rupture with the official speech about the female role, which idealized the Brazilian woman as a good mother and wife, with her space confined to her home. The women associations and movement\'s organization contributes to the strength of the female presence on the public sphere, imposing itself as a social agent. It\'s interesting to us rescue histories of these women fights, mostly anonymous
