Novas tecnologias e a duração do trabalho / New technologies and work time

Flávio Landi 08 May 2009 (has links)
The use of new information and communication technologies creates a new labor environment. The impact of this alteration, kept the ratios of the respective social contexts, can be compared with the impact caused with the advent of the clocks placed in cities in the Middle Ages. The Industrial Revolution created the environment of the plants, where the confinement of the employees allowed the control of activities and work time, idea used by F. W. Taylor, Ford Motor Company and Toyota Motor Corporation. It also propitiated the sprouting of Labour Law. Teleworking can bring to many advantages for the society (also for the environment), for the worker and for the company. But it brings the possibility to become employee permanently available for the calls of the employer for the use of modern equipment, as mobile telephones, notebooks, palm tops, communicators by satellite etc. Limits to work time and periods of rest are rediscussed rights. The ILO did not edit convention or specific recommendation on the subject of teleworking. The Brazilian legal system does not have legislation about it only Annex II of NR 17, dedicates to the conditions of work of the operators in call centres. On the other hand, the collective bargaining could supply this legislative absence, however it is not a fact yet. The advance is on account of the Portugal Labour Code that brings ten articles about teleworking. The idea of teleworking as a necessary autonomy working must be moved away, as well as the parasubordinate work as an alternative capable to guarantee social rights to the teleworkers. The labour social values stipulated on the Brazilian Constitucion mean the respect to the environment, the health and the leisure of the worker. To transgress these constitutional standards implies in burdens for all the society and Social Security system.

The core problem of this work concerns the need to adapt the school community, due to the necessary reconfiguration of teaching and learning strategies from the use of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as teaching tools in educational environments. The main objective is to analyze the adaptability process of learners and educators to this process through the case study of Project New Technologies Experimental Gymnasium (GENTE in portuguese), developed at André Urani Municipal School at Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro. The secondary objective is to understand how the mediation of media consumption occurs\happens on the environment in which the use of ICTs has gained centrality. From a theoretical point of view, we intend to discuss aspects of the interconnections between the fields of Communication and Education, from a reference that has as its foundation the production of authors affiliated with the well-known School of Latin American Cultural Studies, in dialogic position to theories of media education courses, highlighting Educational Communication and Media-education, as well as some assumptions of the so-called Education for the twenty-first century. For data collection a primarily qualitative approach was chosen, using exploratory research, participative\ interactiveobservation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was based on the use of the Collective sSbject Discourse theory (DSC) and the software developed for the application of this technique. Among the main results that we sought to achieve, we can\should\must emphasize, adding scientific knowledge that can somehow work with public policies of education and subsequent actions of the use of ICTs in school public environments through the account of a real case of adaptive collective commitment to make the use of new technologies an ally in the mission of educating and preparing students for civic life, without losing sight of the new challenges ineducation, such as the promotion of autonomy and child and youth participation

Politiques et stratégies en faveur du plurilinguisme à l’école : utilisation des Nouvelles Technologies et des approches par l'intercompréhension des langues / Policies and strategies in favour of plurilingualism at school : use of Communication and Information Technologies and approaches by the intercomprehension of several languages

Politi, Romalea 07 April 2010 (has links)
The permanent contact between languages and cultural identities is an incontrovertible evolution that results from the last few years’ increase in the population mobility. It brings an evolution in the composition of societies that involves a linguistic education which is adapted in the people’s need for plural communication. Interlinguistic alliances and intercomprehension of several languages are strategies that promote pluringuism and permit to settle the disputes resulting from intercultural and interlinguistic shocks. Metacognitive transversal skills and the polyvalent intellectual abilities developed by these plurilingual strategies seem to be perfectly adapted in the needs of our globalized society which demands abilities of strategic reflection in order to facilitate solving intercultural problems.

Trajectoires, circulation, assemblages. The heterogeneous modes of constitution of digital arts practice of artists in Montréal

Charrieras, Damien 16 September 2010 (has links)
This thesis examines the paths and practice of digital artists navigating within the multimedia sector of Montreal. Through the study of the paths of eleven digital artists based in Montreal we found that their production practices in digital arts can not be reduced to the logic of production specific to a single place, whether a private company, a digital arts center or university. The issue of maintaining these practices leads one to pay attention to the plurality of elements that inform their perpetual [re]constitutions. This requires new ways of theorizing digital artists’ paths and practices. We propose a new way of thinking these paths - as trajectories - to highlight the plurality of ways the digital art practices are articulated. They are thus considered in terms of their co-constitutive mediations with different elements. We have identified three sets of elements to account for the maintenance of the practices in digital arts and through which these unfold their multiple effectivities. The first set covers the technologies intervening in digital art practices. The second set relates to the digital arts community and the organizational modes proper to those locales. Finally, the third set deals with the relationship between the worlds of business and practice in digital arts. These three sets of elements are involved in various ways to the establishment, maintenance and singularity of digital arts practices that deploy their effectivities far beyond a circumscribed or specialized social space.

Le projet francophone. De Bucarest (2006) à Québec (2008) : de l’analyse du discours à l’impact stratégique réel / The Francophone Project : Political Discourse Analysis and Strategic Outcomes in the Context of the Summits at Bucharest (2006) and Quebec (2008)

Pannier, Arnaud 15 December 2014 (has links)
This work at the intersection of three fields of study—language sciences, discourse analysis, and training course design—interrogates the notion of the Francophone project in its institutional context at the beginning of this century. Is it possible to unite around a collective project the sizeable political community belonging to the International Francophone Organization (l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie—the OIF)? To answer this question, this thesis analyzes speeches given by heads of state and government during the international summit meetings of the OIF. More specifically the thesis focuses on the speeches made at the summits hosted in Bucharest (2006) and Quebec (2008), a pivotal moment in which the OIF has the necessary legitimacy to initiate a new Francophone dynamic. The work proceeds in three distinct phases. First, it attempts to articulate the notions of “Francophonie”, discourse, and project by placing them in the conceptual fields outlined in the relevant literature. Second, the thesis identifies four axes, sources of legitimacy that allow the specification of the Francophone project. The notions of governance, citizenship, the employment of new technologies, and the affirmation of a project of living together allow for the definition of an expected horizon contributing to the characterization of the Francophone dynamic. Finally, in the third phase, the work attempts to analyze the connections between the framework political discourse that initiates the project and the conditions of its execution. In this regard the work insists on the role of French teachers, the essential link in fostering dialogue between populations and institutions, and who thus have a particular responsibility. In the end this thesis tries to demonstrate that today Francophone project must be constructed through a constantly renewed dialogue between the needs voiced in the field and the political authorities capable of establishing a space of feasibility for the project.

Contacts et valorisation du sérère et du wolof, langues nationales du Sénégal : Pratiques langagières et usages en ligne / Contacts and valuation of the sérère and the Wolof, the national languages of Senegal : Linguistic practices and on-line uses

Dione, Amadou 24 November 2016 (has links)
This work of thesis is situated in the continuity of the searches on the contacts of languages in Senegal, multilingual country. Senegal just like the other French-speaking African countries presents a sociolinguistic space characterized by contacts between national languages and the official language, French giving birth to a form to speak urban called "urban Wolof" or "franwolof".This study concerns the Wolof and the sérère, the national languages of Senegal, in touch with French, within the framework of uses which are made in the New information technologies and of the Communication still (NTIC). Analyses will be led compared to the oral practices and from the messages collected on Facebook and on discussion forums. How the national languages that are the Wolof and the sérère are valued in the linguistic practices and on the Internet ? This main interrogation will be associated with the following various questions of research : what relationships national languages (Wolof and sérère) they do maintain in the oral and with French in the on-line exchanges? / What differences with the oral practices? The Wolof and the sérère are they valued in the linguistic practices and in the electronic exchanges ? How the participants and the Internet users show their identities in their exchanges? How materialize the representations of the speakers with regard to (compared with) the languages which they speak ? What is the place of both national languages at the beginning of the 21th century in a Senegalese society marked by the multilingualism? What is the place of the languages in the definition of the identities of multilingual speakers? / What interests (in the material and symbolic point of view) are made by the use of these languages by the speakers? What roles for their valuation? To bring answers to these questions, the analysis will concern the notions of identity, representations, diglossia, the statutes of these three languages which coexist within the Senegalese territory, on the arrangement, the linguistic politics led to Senegal etc. This work will lean on an analysis of conversations realized with participants wolophones and schooled sérérophones or not and of data collected on Facebook and on discussion forums. This approach will allow to approach the manners the participants of which resort to both national languages in touch with French in the conversations and in the electronic papersKey words: sociolinguistics, multilingualism, New technologies of information and the communication, Codeswitching, Wolof language, serere language, valorization.

Rámcování Průmyslu 4.0 v českých médiích v letech 2013-2018 / Framing of Industry 4.0 in the Czech media in the period 2013-2018

El Bournová, Hana January 2020 (has links)
1 Annotation Industry 4.0, also known as "the fourth industrial revolution" consisting of the digitization and automation of industry, is a relatively new topic in the Czech media field. Not so new topic is digitization in general, which is a process of implementing digital technologies in various areas of production and society. Over time, the arguments of both academic sides, optimists and critics of digital progress were stabilized in two antagonistic paradigms, with both groups of arguments can be found in the media discourse. The work will also examine the neutral approach, which does not benefit from any of the extreme opposites. The thesis will examine the overall framing of the topic and the similarity between media presentation and academic literature. Participants in the academic debate on the digital age can be found, among others, among digital media theorists. They can in principle be divided into two main parties. Optimists (Negroponte, Jenkins, Mařík) in principle support the new possibilities that digitization brings, while critics (McChesney, Spitzer, Morozov) point out that digital progress is dangerous. On the one hand, digital progress and robotization is being showed as a benefit, but on the other hand, academics warn against the fall of society and the negative side of the digital age....
