Background and problems: In a market with increased competitiveness, it's important for companies to achieve superior performance. Thus by being quick at meeting new market conditions and customer needs. To achieve superiority, kaizen is a suitable tool to use. The kaizen-philosophy comprises to constantly make improvements in everyday work and require commitment from all parties in a company. Some improvements work advantageously occasionally while others give good and long lasting effects. It may be difficult for organizations to maintain the results of kaizen improvements and the effects may diminish some time after implementation. Generally for companies that work according to the philosophy is that some improvements are implemented without adequate guidance and resources. This results in frustration since the improvements do not remain successful. Whether a kaizen-improvement implementation is successful has many influencing factors. In order to investigate this problem, Scania has been studied in regard of the company's good experience in applying the kaizen-philosophy. Previous research and literature have been investigated in order to support and analyze the topic. Thus, this study's research question is "What factors affect success and survival in implementation of a kaizen-improvement?". 5 Purpose: The purpose with this case study is to create a profound understanding of underlying factors which are critical for implementing kaizen-improvements and its further survival. Thus to understand what characterizes an successful implementation of kaizen-improvements. By successful kaizen improvement is meant an improvement that is standardized and becomes a beneficial part of the company. Method: This thesis is based on a qualitative research strategy. The research design is a single case study with semi-structured interviews as a method for the empirical material that has been collected. Conclusion: In the implementation process ten successfactors were identified in three different areas where Scania experienced difficulties with kaizen. In the first area, difficulties were due to cheating in the preparation stage. Here, the following successfactors were identified: An accurate and favourable current situation analysis, communication of the current situation and a good competence assessment. The second area was due to difficulties in implementing new working methods. Here, the following successfactors were identified: Communication of goals, employee training and favourable follow-up. The last area was due to difficulties in motivation employees. Here, the following successfactors were identified: Commitment and participation, responsibility, avoiding guilt and good leadership.

Para el presente trabajo de investigación se realizó un análisis de los principales costos y problemas de la gestión del almacén de una empresa comercializadora de productos de belleza capilar. Como resultado, se halló que existía una oportunidad de mejora en el indicador O.T.I.F. (86.6%, 2019) para alcanzar el 95% (Benchmark del mercado), es decir un aumento del 8.4 puntos porcentuales en el proceso de distribución de los productos a los clientes.
Se utilizó la metodología PDCA para investigar y determinar las causas raíz del problema, proponer las mejoras en el proceso de objeto de estudio, así como también los indicadores y actividades que permitan monitorear la propuesta de mejora desarrollada en el presente trabajo. En cada una de las etapas del PDCA se utilizaron las herramientas de lean management tales como Diagrama de Pareto, los cinco porqués, flujogramas, entre otras.
De acuerdo con el análisis realizado, se desarrollaron propuestas de mejora basado en el desarrollo de una estrategia de fidelización de clientes, la estandarización de procesos y una adquisición de una herramienta tecnológica para la programación de rutas de despacho. El beneficio económico de las propuestas es de un ahorro estimado anual proyectado de S/. 144,889 y un potencial de aumento en ventas de S/. 167,667, mientras que el beneficio cualitativo potencial es el aumento del nivel de percepción de la satisfacción al cliente y la mejora del ambiente de trabajo con menos reprocesos, recarga operativa y aumento en la motivación.
Finalmente, es importante mencionar que la investigación, recolección y análisis de la información se realizó en los primeros meses del año 2020 en Lima, Perú, antes de que el Estado promulgara el Decreto Supremo Nº 008-2020-SA de fecha 11 marzo del 2020, que declara la Emergencia Sanitaria a nivel nacional por el plazo de noventa (90) días calendario y dicta medidas para la prevención y control para evitar la propagación del COVID-19 y sus consecutivas prórrogas. / For this research paper, an analysis of the main costs and issues related to the warehouse management of a trading company of hair care products was conducted. As a result, it was found there was an opportunity for improvement in the O.T.I.F. indicator (86.6 %, 2019) to achieve 95 % (market benchmark), that is, an increase of 8.4 percentage points in the product distribution process to customers.
The PDCA methodology was applied to investigate and define the root cause of the issue, propose improvements in the process under study, as well as indicators and activities to monitor the improvement proposal developed in this paper. At each of the PDCA stages, lean management tools such as the Pareto chart, 5 Whys, flowcharts, among others were used.
According to the analysis performed, proposals for improvement were based on the development of a customer loyalty strategy, process standardization and selection of a technological tool for the delivery route scheduling. Thus, the economic benefit of the proposals represents an estimated projected annual savings of S/.144,889 and a potential for increased sales of S/.167,667, while the potential qualitative benefit consists of the increased level of customer satisfaction perception and the enhanced work environment with less reworks, operational load and increased motivation.
Finally, it must be noted that the data research, collection, and analysis was conducted during the first months of 2020 in Lima, Peru, before the State issued the Supreme Decree No. 008-2020-SA dated March 11, 2020 which declares national Health Emergency for ninety (90) calendar days and enacts measures aimed at preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 and its following extensions. / Tesis

Hoy en día, las empresas de manufactura lidian con un entorno de producción dinámico, en los cuales el tiempo de entrega es el criterio fundamental para captar pedidos. Los sistemas de planificación y control de la producción (PPC) han venido jugado un papel crucial, sin embargo, en este nuevo contexto, los modelos más conocidos de PPC ya no satisfacen las necesidades de las organizaciones. Es así como este artículo propone un modelo de PPC basado en el sistema Demand-Driven MRP apoyado por las etapas del ciclo PDCA a fin de que se pueda desempeñar de manera óptima en entornos dinámicos como los modelos de fabricación make-to-order. Como resultado de la simulación en el caso de estudio se obtuvo el 100% de cumplimiento de entregas a tiempo y una reducción del lead time en 50.33%. Por tanto, se concluye que el modelo propuesto es aplicable y beneficioso en dicho contexto. / Nowadays, manufacturing companies deal with a dynamic production environment, in which delivery time is the fundamental criterion to get orders. Production planning and control (PPC) systems have played a crucial role, however, in this new context, the most popular PPC models no longer meet the needs of organizations. This is how this article proposes a PPC model based on the Demand-Driven MRP system supported by the stages of the PDCA cycle so that it can perform optimally in dynamic environments such as make-to-order manufacturing models. As a result of the simulation in the case study, 100% compliance with deliveries on time was obtained and a reduction in lead time by 50.33%. Denna fallstudie har syftet att undersöka om befintliga metoder kananvändas för prototyptillverkande företag för att reducera ställtiderna. Detta utförs genom att först samla in data via intervjuer, observationer och dokumentinsamling. Därefter analyseras ställprocessen genom relevanta metoder och sammanställer förbättringsförslag för att undersöka vilka metoder som är lämpliga att använda. Studien visar tydligt att innan arbetet med ställtidsreducering kan påbörjas, måste arbetsplatsen och processerna standardiseras. Checklista och funktionskontroll bör utföras innan ett ställ påbörjas, vilket reducerar ställtiden. Maskinens inställning bör standardiseras enligt dokumentation från tidigare prototyper. Slutsatsen är att standardisering är viktig, trots den höga variationen i prototyptillverkning. Långa ställtider bör analyseras med SMED och förbättringar sammanställs i PICK-diagram för att sedan utföras en i taget genom PDCA-cykeln. Sådana förbättringar bör utföras tillsammans med den avdelning de berör för att alla skall kunna vara delaktiga i arbetet, samt att implementationen kan ske lättare. / This case study aims to investigate whether existing methods can be used within industrial companies that produce prototypes to reduce their setup times. This was done by first collecting data through interviews, observations and document collection. The setup process is then analyzed using relevant methods and improvement proposals are compiled to investigate which methods are suitable to use.The research clearly shows that before any work can be done with the setup reduction, the facility and its processes need to be standardized. A check list and function control can be prepared before the setup has begun, thus reducing the setup time. The settings of the machine should be standardized based on previously documented prototypes. In conclusion, standardization is vital, despite the high variation in prototype manufacturing. Long setup times should be analyzed with SMED and improvements are to be presented in a PICK-diagram and further implemented using a PDCA-cycle. These improvements should be done together with the department they are for, so everyone can be involved in the work and the implementation seamless.

Continuous improvement of various processes within a company is a necessity to remain competitive on the market. There are many different improvement methodologies to streamline work routines; however the different methodologies do not sufficiently embrace administrative processes or the employee motivation regarding changes. The purpose of this thesis has been to develop a model for streamlining administrative processes, while maintaining the employee motivation during the improvement projects implementation phases. The model has been developed theoretically through literature reviews including different improvement methodologies, such as Lean, TQM, Six Sigma, 5S, ISO 9000 and related subjects, while incorporating perspectives of the relations between quality, production and economy. Besides the aspect of continuous improvement, the methodology of Change management has permeated the model development and model outcome. The developed model for improving administrative processes should over time lead to shorten lead-times and streamlined high quality information flows. The first phases in the model have been implemented at Electrolux Laundry Systems providing the company a solid foundation for further implementation of the rest of the model. The results include several highlighted areas, which shall be further reviewed and improved to streamline the current routines at Electrolux Laundry Systems. / Kontinuerliga förbättringar av ett företags olika processer är en ständig kamp för företag som vill behålla en konkurrenskraftig position på marknaden. Det finns många olika förbättringsmetoder för att effektivisera arbetsrutiner men de olika metoderna har sällan tillräckligt fokus på administrativa processer eller anställdas motivation när det gäller förändringar. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att utveckla en modell för att effektivisera administrativa processer, samtidigt som de anställdas motivation under förbättringsprojektens genomförande tagits i beaktande. Modellen har utvecklats teoretiskt genom litteraturstudier av olika förbättringsmetoder såsom Lean, TQM, Six Sigma, 5S, ISO 9000 och relaterade ämnen, samt även inkluderat perspektiv på förhållanden mellan kvalitet, produktion och ekonomi. Förutom aspekten av ständiga förbättringar, har teorier om Change management genomsyrat modellutvecklingen. Den utvecklade modellen för att förbättra administrativa processer avser att leda till minskade ledtider och effektiviserade informationsflöden. De första faserna i modellen har genomförts på Electrolux Laundry Systems vilka ger företaget en stabil grund för fortsatt genomförande av resten av modellen. I delresultaten finns flera identifierade områden som Electrolux Laundry Systems bör se över för att effektivisera sina nuvarande rutiner.

Práce se zabývá teoretickým popisem standardů používaných pro aplikační bezpečnost, dále popisuje nástroje určené pro získavání informací o firemním prostředí, které mohou být použity pro odhalovaní bezpečnostních zranitelností, nebo pro jejich odstranění. Také popisuje procesy, kterými se mají společnosti řídit, aby byla minimalizována možnost dopadu na produkci a rovněž zaručena trvalá bezpečnost prostředí. Uvedené jsou i kontroly dosažených výsledků při použití nových technologií a jejich finanční i časové výhody.
