Därför kändes det intressant att undersöka om vi som blivande sjöingenjörer har en framtid där efter våran karriär till sjöss. Syftet med detta arbete är att få ökad insikt om vilka teoretiska kunskaper, praktiska och personliga egenskaper som gör sjöingenjören attraktiv i ledande befattningar vid kärnkraftsverk. Datainsamlingen skedde med hjälp av en enkätundersökning och en intervju. Undersökningen skickades ut till Sveriges samtliga kärnkraftverk och intervjun gjordes med en anställd på ett utav dem. Detta citat ifrån en av undersökningens respondenter kan sammanfatta vår slutsats. ” Sjöingenjörsprogrammet är en mycket attraktiv utbildning för oss!”. Detta resultat, kan bero på den stora bristen och ointresse från unga att läsa till ingenjörsyrken, samt ingenjörernas höga medelålder och kommande pensionsavgångar.</p> / <p>It is our belief that nuclear power constitutes a future environmentally friendly alternative power source. Based on this conviction, our study was conducted with the principal aim of investigating whether or not a marine engineer would be eligible for employment at a nuclear power plant in Sweden after having ended his sea-going career.</p><p>The primary objective of our investigation was to examine what type of theoretical knowledge that the nuclear industry required. Furthermore, we also wanted to find answers to questions related to such requirements as practical and personal characteristics. Overall, we wanted to find out what personal and educational qualities that were needed to make marine engineers attractive as prospective employees for the nuclear power industry.</p><p>The collection of data was primarily made with the help of a questionnaire, which was sent to all nuclear power plants in Sweden. We also conducted an in-depth interview with one nuclear power plant employee.</p><p>The conclusion of our investigation into this field of possible future employment for a marine engineer can be deduced from the answer given by one of the questionnaire respondents: “The marine engineering programme is a very attractive education for us.”</p><p>The latter answer together with our general conclusions from the questionnaire, substantiate the fact that marine engineers will be plausible candidates for employment at nuclear power plants in the future.</p>

ABSTRACT The purpose of this c-level essay shall try to illustrate how a good leader is formed. We have investigated what influences leadership style, personal characteristics or individual competence have when recruiting a new manager. This study has been carried out with comparative applications because we wanted to study the similarities and differences between the Unemployment Office, the Social Insurance Office and the Social Welfare Administration. We have used a qualitative method in interviews both with employers as well as the from the trade union representative’s perspective. Part of our results indicates that the trade union representatives and the employers are not always unanimous and do not request equivalent characteristics and knowledge at recruitment. We have also found certain differences in the recruitment process between the organisations despite the fact that they are all politically governed and have many organisational similarities. We do not claim any empirical generalisations about our results as we have studied only one municipality. Our conclusions establish how certain key factors relate to recruitment of mangers just in this municipality and in these organisations. The results, however, indicates the prominence of some key factors that might be of general importance. One of the most important result that we found in this study was that the trade union representatives had more similar opinions with each other than those they had with their respective organisations. Furthermore it became obvious from the study that great significance was given to inter-personal relationships when recruiting a new middle manager. The most significant resemblance between the three organisations was that they requested a management style that inclined towards democratic values.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka kontinuitet och förändring i holländares identitet(er) när de flyttar till Sverige. Teorier kring identitet och förändring/förhandling appliceras på empiri som framkommer ur intervjuer med fyra holländska informanter som har emigrerat till Sverige. Resultatet visar att identitet är något som informanterna anser vara relativt konstant under livets gång vad gäller personlighet, karaktärsdrag och nationalitet. Dock är de överens om att identitetsförändringar sker beroende på ålder och nya livsroller som exempelvis när man blir företagare eller förälder. Holländare och svenskar tycks vara så lika vad gäller utseende att myndigheter tror att även sociala, ekonomiska och politiska system liknar de svenska systemen. Hos de holländska informanterna finns dock ett behov att särskilja sig från svenskarna samtidigt som de vill integrera med svenskarna. Integrationsprocessen innebär även att i vissa sammanhang identifierar de sig som holländare och i andra sammanhang identifierar de sig mer som svenskar. / The purpose of the thesis is to investigate continuity and change in Dutch peoples´ identities as they immigrate to Sweden. Identity and change/negotiation theories will be applied to empirical material gained from interviews with four Dutch participants who have immigrated to Sweden. The result shows that identity is something that the immigrants view as relatively constant through their lives what concerns personality, character and nationality. They agree that changes in identity occur when factors such as age and new roles in life as for an example when one becomes a company owner or a parent. Dutch and Swedish people seem to be the same when it comes to appearance that one thinks that even social, economic and political systems are the same as the Swedish systems. Because of this the Dutch participants seem to separate themselves from the Swedes and at the same time they want to integrate with the Swedes. The integration process contains that in some contexts the Dutch immigrant identify him-/herself as a Dutch person and in other contexts they identify more as a Swedish person.

Divorce is a potentially destructive reality in society. According to the bio-ecological model of Bronfenbrenner, the development of the child takes place within two micro family systems when a family is reconstituted following divorce: the primary micro family system, where the child resides permanently with his/her biological parent who has parental rights and responsibilities, as well as the secondary micro family system of the other biological parent who also has parental rights and responsibilities, where the child visits periodically. Challenges that the child faces in the context of the reconstituted family thus include shared membership of the two micro family systems and the complexity of the mesosystem. Resilience can be defined as a process of the inborn ability to achieve positive outcomes and to adjust successfully despite challenges and adverse living conditions. The purpose of the study was twofold: firstly, to achieve understanding of the way in which middle-adolescents of divorced parents, in moving between the two micro family systems of their reconstituted families, utilise their resilience to develop optimally in spite of a probably dysfunctional relationship between their biological parents at the mesosystemic level and secondly, to contribute to the fields of knowledge on resilience and bio-ecological theory in order to enhance educational psychology praxis with regard to the adaptation of adolescents of divorced parents in reconstituted families. The study was qualitative, and conducted in the interpretive paradigm. A multiple case study with a purposeful sampling of four participants was used. Unstructured narrative conversations were conducted, which included a resilience-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate sensitisation regarding personal strengths and assets in accordance with the assetbased approach. The format of the data description and analysis was defined by the narrative way of working. The participants’ utilisation of resilience qualities was evaluated in accordance with a definition of resilience which had been newly constructed by means of a synthesis of the bio-ecological model, positive psychology and the focuses of the first three waves of resilience research. The findings of the study indicated that the way in which middle-adolescents utilise their resilience depends on a therapeutic process (a personal, controlled process) as well as the nature of the mesosystem in their developmental context (a factor that can only be controlled by the divorced biological parents). In respect of a therapeutic process, the utilisation of the middle-adolescents’ resilience depends on their emotional security to make conscious choices to mobilise their resilience and consequently change their behaviour in order to cope effectively with difficult family circumstances in both their micro-family systems. In respect of the nature of the mesosystem, the utilisation of the middle-adolescents’ resilience depends on the effectiveness of the relationship between their divorced biological parents at the mesosystemic level. The object of the study was athletes involved in cross-country skiing. The subject of the study was personal features that affect the success of athletes-skiers. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusion, a list of literature (67 sources) and applications, including forms of applied techniques, the classifier of associative connections, and the scheme of volitional action. The volume of the master's thesis is 78 pages, on which are placed 19 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the development of the problem, the purpose and objectives of the research, the object and subject of the research, the main hypothesis are formulated, the methods and the empirical base are specified. The first and second chapters include a review of foreign and domestic literature on the topic of the study. Целью исследования является оценка влияния демографических и профессиональных характеристик руководителей промышленных предприятий на их цифровизацию для выработки рекомендаций по повышению успешности реализации цифровой трансформации российских компаний. Объект исследования. В качестве объекта исследования послужили российские предприятия обрабатывающей промышленности. Предмет исследования. Предметом исследования является механизм взаимосвязи персональных характеристик руководителя и цифровизации промышленных предприятий. Методология исследования. Теоретической и методологической основой исследования послужили теория высших эшелонов, и агентская теория. Для эмпирического анализа был построен порядковый логит. Информационная база исследования была составлена автором на основании данных опроса RUFIGE и базы данных Bureau van Dijk RUSLANA. Научная новизна. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что было произведено развитие теории «высших эшелонов», но в отличие от авторов, которые изучают отдельные личные характеристики руководителей, в данном исследовании характеристики были рассмотрены в совокупности (демографические и профессиональные).Данное исследование является одним из немногих в России, так как анализирует предприятия обрабатывающей промышленности с использованием эконометрической модели, которое одновременно рассматривает множество персональных характеристик генерального директора и их влияние на цифровизацию предприятий. Практическая значимость исследования. Практическая значимость исследования состоит в том, что его результаты и представленные рекомендации могут быть способствовать совершенствованию процессов внедрения цифровых технологий в производственные процессы. Также результаты исследования могут быть использованы собственниками компаний и советами директоров для подбора кандидатов на должность генерального директора. / The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of demographic and professional characteristics of managers of industrial enterprises on their digitalization in order to develop recommendations to improve the success of the digital transformation of Russian companies. Object of the study. The object of the study is the Russian enterprises of the manufacturing industry. Subject of the study. The subject of the research is the mechanism of interaction between the personal characteristics of the manager and the digitalization of industrial enterprises. Research Methodology. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was the theory of higher echelons, and agency theory. An ordinal logit was constructed for the empirical analysis. The information base of the study was compiled by the author on the basis of the RUFIGE survey and the Bureau van Dijk RUSLANA database. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that the theory of "upper echelons" was developed, but in contrast to the authors, who study individual personal characteristics of managers, in this study the characteristics were considered in the aggregate (demographic and professional).This study is one of the few in Russia, as it analyzes manufacturing enterprises using econometric model, which simultaneously considers many personal characteristics of general manager The practical significance of the study is that its results and the presented recommendations can help to improve the processes of implementing digital technologies in production processes. Also the results of the study can be used by company owners and boards of directors to select candidates for the CEO position.
