The main purpose of this dissertation has been to investigate how well diaconal work in seven chosen parishes corresponds to an official definition of the diaconal task of the Church of Sweden as above all to represent and direct activities towards the most disadvantaged and/or marginalised groups in society, a definition that well corresponds to the general expectations of the Swedish people regarding the role of the Church. The empirical ground for the dissertation comes from diaconal inventories built mainly on a comprehensive interview material with parish workers and appointed representatives in the chosen parishes. Diaconal work being carried out has been analysed and discussed in relation to the understanding of diaconal work put forward on the national level as mainly intended for those in greatest need. Analyse is carried out with a point of departure in secularization theory. The apparent dichotomy between public and private religion offer some explanation and enhance the understanding of how religious actors on different levels within the Church organisation have elected to confront the marginalised role of the Church. The most important conclusion generated by this dissertation is a clear lack of correspondence between the understanding of the deaconry as formulated on the national level and diaconal practice in the parishes studied. This discrepancy can arise because actors on the national and local levels have different strategies for counteracting the marginalisation. The gap between the national strategy emphasizing the task of the Church to represent the needy and a diaconal practice expressing quite another strategy represents a concrete and grave dilemma for the Church; a dilemma that in a not too distant future can have serious consequences for the Church’s credibility in the eyes of a distanced, nonreligious public.

The aim of this essay is to study how older art can be used to illustrate our contemporary society with a critical view and also to contribute to the discussion of for what reason we keep our public collections. My essay is based on a case study of the 2008 summer exhibition ‘Queer: desire, power and identity’ at Nationalmuseum. The exhibition used art from different eras to show how the ideals, norms of gender, and how the symbols for power have changed throughout history. It also reveals how certain art or artists have been excluded from art history due to their sexual orientation. This study is based on three questions: -          How can older art be used to illustrate a to our society contemporary theme? -          How can a public museum make an exhibition with a clear and active message? -          How can a clear and potentially sensitive message be shown without risking to be provocative towards either the visitors or the person(s) it is about. My material is based on the exhibition, the work material from the museum, protocols, photographs, exhibition texts, and interviews with the creators of the exhibition. I have also added reviews of the exhibition to add more perspectives for my discussion.

<p>Språk är en del av den undervisning som alla elever får under sin tid i skolan. För att elever ska kunna lära sig ett andra språk utöver det modersmål eleven har krävs det att läraren kan, genom kunskap om och val av strategier och modeller, hjälpa till med inlärningen. Det är hur läraren kan hjälpa sina elever att uppnå bästa möjliga resultat i sin inlärning av sitt andraspråk som arbetet behandlar. Detta arbete tar sin utgångspunkt från ett lärarperspektiv, d.v.s. hur en lärare ser på hur de bäst kan hjälpa sina elevers andraspråksinlärning. Det finns en stor mängd modeller att använda sig av och en rad olika teoretiska perspektiv att luta sig mot för att kunna utforma en konstruktiv undervisningen. Under detta arbetets gång intervjuades fem lärare från tre olika sorters verksamhet inom skolan. Arbetet tar fasta på vikten av att L2 används i inlärningsmiljön, d.v.s. att för att elever ska kunna lära sig språket måste de bli utsatta för språket. Det påpekar att inte låta läromedlet styra undervisningen allt för mycket utan använda detta som antingen inspiration eller använda det i kombination med egna övningar. Andraspråksinlärning kan påbörjas redan i de tidigaste åren i skolan, dock att läraren bedriver denna undervisning muntligt. </p>

<p>Uppsatsen är en reflekterande text som behandlar det verk som skapats av mig under examensarbetet i medier vid Högskolan i Skövde. Verket består av ett fordon skapat i samarbete med företaget EA DICE där prestanda, utseende och resurser har varit största fokus. Den reflekterande texten inleds med en inledning där det framgår hur och varför jag valde examensarbete följt av problemställning och mål. Vidare redogörs vilka begränsningar och avgränsningar som gjorts i arbetet och reflektioner kring det slutgiltiga resultet. Efter detta följer en förteckning över vad verket består av och arbetsprocessen bakom det hela. I denna arbetsprocess belyses de problem som uppstått vid skapandet av verket.</p><p>I slutsatsen framgår att målen som satts i början av arbetet har uppfyllts och att jag lärt mig en hel del om hur skapandet av spel går till på stora företag.</p>

The teacher Selma Lagerlöf (1858-1940) is one of Sweden's most famous and beloved writers and her books have been sold in millions worldwide. She received the Nobel Prize in Literature 1909 and was selected as the first woman in the Swedish academy five years later in 1914. She grew up on the farm Mårbacka and, after her success, could buy it back and lived there until she passed away in 1940. Among her most famous works is The Story of Gösta Berling, Herr Arne’s Hoard and Jerusalem. The latter is a novel, published in two parts in 1901 and 1902 and the narrative spans four generations in the 19th century and focuses on the family Ingmarsson and several other families from the County of Nås who, for religious reasons, emigrated to Jerusalem to join the American Colony.  To get an understanding of these emigrants, Selma Lagerlöf traveled to Jerusalem to meet and learn more about them. During the trip, Lagerlöf corresponded with her mother, Louise Lagerlöf, and it is through this correspondence that I have sought answers to the following questions: Given the premise that Selma Lagerlöf, per her own opinion, had no knowledge of emigration of religious groups; how much can we understand that she learned about this colony while traveling, based on her correspondence?  To what extent can this correspondence detect observations and teachings concerning religion, religious practice and presumptuous religious people? To the extent that religious beliefs, internships or supposed practitioners are mentioned in the correspondence; are there any appreciable differences in conceptual usage based on how she may look at the other? The hermeneutical explanation model used in this study as a theory and method has, through an analysis of the correspondence, conclude that her journey gave her great insight into the colonists, that she also learned a lot about other religions and its practitioners and that some valuational words in the letters reveal that she received a very positive image of the emigrants, but that she generally held a neutral description even of non-Christians.

The battle of reality is one of the challenges of modern humanity. In this essay I study differences and similarities between Christer Sturmark, one of the leading secular humanists in Sweden in relation to Pastor Vesa Annala, one of the leading Creationists in Sweden. Based on the comparative comparison of overlaps in epistemology, teleology, the social sphere and the theory, Professor Mikael Stenmark's book How to Relate Science and Religion: A Multidimensional Model has been used in this investigation. The investigations are based on and investigate what Sturmark and Annala have in common, what is overlapped, what they do not have in common and what becomes problematic between world views and statements. What is real and how the world image is defined from Sturmark and Annala is investigated and if there is a possibility of resolution between the two world views.

Livsåskådningskunskap? Är det en benämning som kan ersätta den nuvarande beteckningenreligionskunskap för religionsundervisningen i den gymnasiala skolan i Sverige? Genomtiderna har religionsämnet bytt namn ett flertal gånger, och idag pågår en debatt där det lyftsfram att religionskunskap bör byta namn igen och denna gång till livsåskådningskunskap.Syftet med denna uppsats är att genom en semistrukturerad intervjustudie utröna hurreligionslärare på gymnasial nivå väljer att definiera och presentera livsåskådningar iundervisningen. Vidare söker den att undersöka hur religionslärare förhåller sig tillstyrdokumenten i livsåskådningsundervisningen. Slutligen eftersträvar den att utreda hurstort utrymme livsåskådningar ges i undervisningen och analysera om det har någotsamband med lärares sätt att redogöra för livsåskådningar och förhållandet tillstyrdokumenten. Resultatet visar att det existerar en variation inom samtligaundersökningsområden, vilket överensstämmer med tidigare forskning. Alla lärareundervisar om livsåskådningar men presenterar och definierar begreppet olika.Styrdokumenten är något som alla intervjuade lärare har läst och har som grund iutformningen av undervisningen. Resultatet av intervjustudien visar även attlivsåskådningar, i de flesta fall, får lika stort utrymme som etik medan religion är det somfår störst utrymme. Undersökningen visar avslutningsvis att det finns ett samband mellanpresentation, styrdokument och utrymme. Det är ett samband som gäller för de flesta avlärarna i studien, men inte för alla.
