Socialinės pedagoginės pagalbos veiksmingumas mokykloje vaikams iš asocialių šeimų / Efficiency of social pedagogical assistance for children from social risk families at schoolAranauskienė, Giedrė 24 September 2008 (has links)
Complicated social and economic conditions determinative hard situation of children and youth. In this discussion is review of juridical documents and standard act. There is conception of social risk families and peculiarities children of social families. Research of author has shown that at schools of districts aren’t enough social pedagogues. Masters offering all social pedagogical assistance. And this assistance doesn’t give expected results because they haven’t enough social-pedagogical knowledge and workloads are very intensives.

An Analysis of School Drop-Outs at Tooele High SchoolWhitehouse, Franklin 01 May 1953 (has links)
This study of approximately 50 early school drop-outs is an effort to find out why so many boys and firls leave school before they complete their high school course. We need to know the basic reason that prompt their decisions, not the superficial excuses that appear on many school records. The study was undertaken in the belief that when the causes are understood, they can be remedied through measures to provide adequate programs of student aid. If it is because of lack of interest in school, this, too, can be remedied through changes in school programs to make them mean more to more students. A country which has developed its industrial production and its scientific research to heights that would have seemd incredible 25 years ago, surely has the resrouces and the vision to create educational programs which will meet the varied needs, aptituteds, and interests of its many millions of children and young people. A democracy cannot be content with its public education system until all its children enter high school and until the number who graduate from high school approaches 100 per cent of those who enter.

Phonological Assessment Tool for Pre-Shool Children : Which Words can be Included?Müller, Susanna, Sundberg, Hanna January 2011 (has links)
The present project is a first step towards a new Swedish assessment tool to examine phonological ability in preschool-aged children. The work consisted of developing a word list with words that was considered to reveal a child’s phonological ability and to try out the word list on pre-school children. The reason was to make sure that the words existed in the vocabulary of the children in the chosen ages. A word list consisting of 109 words, which convey relevant phonological information, was created. Every phoneme in the Swedish language is represented at least twice in initial, medial and final word position. The majority of the consonant clusters, which are allowed in the Swedish language, are included. Also words consisting of three or more syllables, words consisting of an initial unstressed syllable and both of the tonal word accents used in the Swedish language, are included in the wordlist. The 85 children who participated in the present study was 3;0-5;11 years old and their task was to name the pictures of the material. The children were divided into six half-yearly intervals. The result showed that the children’s ability to name the pictures was improved with increased age. The children in the youngest interval (3;0-3;5) named a mean of 92 pictures correctly, while children in the oldest interval (5;6-5;11) named a mean of 107 picture. The authors decided that words which were produced by at least 80% of the children in an interval were judged to be appropriate for the current age. Consequently, 79 of the 109 words were judged to be appropriate for children in interval 1. Among these 79 words, there are words which represent the majority of the phonological aspects that a phonological assessment tool should comprise. Barnen delades in i sex halvårsintervall.

Facing situations usually identified as school (in)discipline requires a change in teaching conceptions and practices. For this purpose, cooperative actions, reflections and sometimes replanning can guarantee a better context for the school to fulfill its essential purposes. Thus, this study aimed to investigate changes in conceptions and practices of educators and school managers about school (in)discipline during the course of Continuing Education, developed through action research mode, whose essence is reflection cooperative. The actions happened at the Municipal Elementary School Attílio Tosin, located in Garibaldi city, Rio Grande do Sul. The school's faculty was divided into three working groups, as well as met every two weeks under the guidance of the research coordinator. Records in reserach diary, associated with statements/interviews, contributed to continue the process under theoretical references as Ives La Taille, Hanna Arendt, Celso Vasconcellos, Maria Luiza Xavier and Joe Garcia. The diversity of conceptions and practices of teachers is evident in their speeches during meetings and/or interviews. At first, most of them related (in)discipline to inappropriate student behavior in relation to school standards and rules, while they recognize that standards and rules are no or not enough or democratically discussed to be fully respected by students and teachers. The research assumes that, according to the development of the training process, the complaining diminishes. Readings and discussions point to the need for a new look on education. Although some teachers remain resistant to changes, most assume that every teacher has responsibility for solving conflict situations, avoiding identify external causes and solutions to the classroom. The teachers evaluated the experience as highly significant by issuing favorable position to continue this type of training. We conclude that the identified theoretical and practical difficulties, related to teachers or school management team, can be gradually resolved if the school (and the Municipal School Network) create spaces for studies and group discussions, or, in other words, continuing education spaces.
