Tyrimo tikslas – Ištirti Raseinių „Rasų“ vyrų krepšinio komandos greitumo jėgos (20 m bėgimas), jėgos greitumo (20 m bėgimas su 5 proc. kūno masės svorio slide) bei staigumo jėgos (20 m bėgimas su krypties keitimu) rodiklius parengiamąjame periode. Hipotezė: Manome, kad dėl mūsų taikytos specializuotos krepšinio programos Raseinių „Rasų“ vyrų krepšinio komandos greitumo jėgos, jėgos greitumo bei staigumo jėgos testų rodikliai parengiamąjame periode gerės ir prieš varžybinį periodą bus patys geriausi. Tyrimo metodika ir organizavimas. Mūsų organizuotame tyrime dalyvavo 10 Regionų krepšinio lygoje dalyvaujančios Raseinių „Rasai“ komandos žaidėjų. Pirmojo testavimo metu krepšininkai atliko 20 m bėgimo, 20 m bėgimo su krypties keitimu ir 20 m bėgimo su 5% kūno masės svorio slide testus. Po šių testų sekė parengiamojo etapo treniruočių programa. Antrojo testavimo metu atlikti testai buvo identiški pirmąjam testavimui. Bėgimuose krepšininkams buvo leidžiama atlikti po du bandymus, statistinei analizei buvo naudojamas aukštesnis rezultatas. Uždaviniai: 1. Ištirti Raseinių „Rasų“ komandos greitumo jėgos rodiklio kaitą parengiamąjame periode. 2. Ištirti Raseinių „Rasų“ komandos jėgos greitumo rodiklio kaitą parengiamąjame periode. 3. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate changes of speed strength (20 m dash), strength speed (20 m dash with sled 5% of bodyweight) and explosive strength (20 m run with change of direction) in pre-season of Raseiniu „Rasai“ mens‘s basketball team. Methods. 10 male team Raseiniu “Rasai“ basketball players attended our organized research. In first testing, players did 20 m dash, 20 m dash with sled 5% of bodyweight and 20 m run with change of direction. After these tests, players did pre-season training program. In second test, players did the exactly same tests they did before. Basketball players were allowed to make two runs, better result was taken for statistical analysis. Hypothesis: We presume that our training programme will have tendency to improve speed strength, strength speed and explosive strength indicators in Raseiniu „Rasai“ mens‘s basketball team during the pre-season period and will be the best before the competition stage. Proposition: 1. To examine Raseiniu „Rasai“ team speed strenght index alternation in pre-season. 2. To examine Raseiniu „Rasai“ team strenght speed index alternation in pre-season. 3. Another goal is to perform a literature search of titles that deal with issues of youth strength training. Methods: This research work was realized with the help of motor testing method. Results: In both monitored file has been changed levels of power capabilities. The research group was divided into two sets. A set of graduated strength program, file B is not. In individuals from Group B were major changes of power capabilities, although weight training did not pass. Individuals who, have at least the first measuring points is compared to the last testing improved the most. For individuals who have the most points in the first measurement occurred against the last test for such a big change. A presente dissertação enfoca as características de resistência ao cisalhamento e os mecanismos básicos que governam o fenômeno de atrito em rochas fraturadas. Especial atenção é dedicada à identificação de fatores geométricos e geotécnicos importantes e a sua relação com o comportamento e esforços resistentes de rochas fraturadas. A caracterização de fraturas por meio de parâmetros geomecânicos adequados permitirá incluí-los nos modelos de cálculo e simular mais realisticamente o comportamento geomecânico do maciço rochoso fraturado. / This thesis focuses on the shear strenght and mechanisms that change the shear characteristics of jointed rocks. Special attention was devoted to the identification of geometric and geotechnical factors and its relationship with the behavior and strenght of jointed rocks. The characterization of the fractures by apropriated geomechanical parameters Will permite to include them in the models and to simulate more realistically the behavior of fractured rock mass.

O processo de estampagem à quente é um dos métodos possíveis para a conformação de aços de alta resistência. Para isso é necessário o estudo das propriedades termomecânicas para obtenção de parâmetros ótimos para a construção de uma linha de estampagem eficiente. Neste trabalho, foram realizados ensaios para determinar os parâmetros para a estampagem a quente do aço 22MnB5, e posteriormente a construção de uma linha de estampagem a quente completa. Obteve-se ao fim do processo, uma microestrutura martensitica com dureza de 430 HV com resistência à tração de aproximadamente 1365 MPa. / The hot stamping process is one of the possible ways to high strenght steel conformation. In this work, study of 22MnB5 steel thermomechanical properties was performed in order to obtain optimum parameters to hot stamping process. After, a complete hot stamping line was built. At the end of hot stamping process it was possible to obtain a martensitic microstructure with 1365 MPa strenght resistance and 430 HV.

No presente trabalho, usando ensaios de remoção por tração, o objetivo foi avaliar a eficiência de 4 agentes (fosfato de zinco S. S.White, ionômero de vidro Ketac Cem Easymix, resina composta RelayX Luting 2 e resina acrílica especial Panavia 21 TC) usados para fixar coroas totais de NiCr a munhões tronco-cônicos, usinados em liga de Ti-6Al-4V. Dentre os cinqüenta munhões utilizados, 40 permaneceram com sua superfície original altamente lisa (como vieram de fábrica) e foram distribuídos em grupos de 10, para cada agente cimentante; no grupo dos 10 restantes existiu uma modificação por irradiação com LASER e cimentação apenas com fosfato. Os ensaios mecânicos foram realizados em uma máquina universal MTS 810, na velocidade de 0,5 mm/min. A respectiva Análise de Variância (ANOVA) apontou existir diferença significante entre os grupos e o teste de Tukey (p<0,05) também mostrou diferenças significantes entre eles, exceto nas comparações original/fosfato versus original/RelayX e original/fosfato versus original/KetcCem. Para os munhões não-irradiados, o melhor desempenho foi apresentado pela resina Panavia 21 (1.127,996 N); a resina composta RelyX (478,197 N) mostrou comportamento similar apenas ao do fosfato (430,662 N), o qual apresentou desempenho semelhante ao ionômero de vidro KetacCem (227,705 N). A modificação da superfície do munhão fez com que a magnitude da resistência à tração das coroas cimentadas com fosfato aumentasse para 1.514,872 N. / By means of tensile essays, NiCr total crowns were removed from usinated tronco-conical abutments composed by an Ti-6Al-4V alloy; the performance of 4 cementig agents (S. S. White zinc phoshate, Ketac Cem Easymix glass ionomer, RelayX Luting 2 composite resin and Panavia 21 TC special acrylic resin) was evaluated. Among a total of 50 abutments, 40 were used with it surface presenting high smoothness (as they come from manufacturer) and distributed in groups of 10 elements, each group for each cementing agent; the other 10 abutments had had its surfaces modified by LASER and were used only with phosphate. The mechanical essays were developed at a MTS 810 universal machine, adjusted to a 0.5 mm/m velocity. The ANOVA applied to data pointed out the existence of significant differences between groups; the subsequent Tukey´s test (p<0.05) also detected significant differences, except at comparisons of original/phosphate versus original/ RelayX and original/phosphate versus original/ KetacCem. To non-irradiated abutments, the better performance was presented by Panavia 21 (1,127.996 N); RelyX (478.197 N) showed itself similar only to phosphate (430.662 N), wich had a performance similar to that of KetacCem (227.705 N). The referred LASER irradiation promoted an increased resistance to the phosfate, which reached 1,514.872 N.

Associação entre doença periodontal e dano muscular induzido pelo exercício : resultados preliminares de um estudo longitudinal

O dano muscular induzido pelo exercício (DMIE) e os diferentes elementos envolvidos em seu processo têm sido amplamente estudados. A doença periodontal (DP), por sua vez, tem sido indicada como um possível fator de risco para várias condições sistêmicas, como diabetes, doenças cardiovasculares, partos prematuros, obesidade, entre outros. Tais associações têm sido atribuídas à possibilidade de que a DP possa induzir um processo de inflamação sistêmica de baixa intensidade, caracterizado pela elevação de biomarcadores sanguíneos que também estão envolvidos no mecanismo de dano muscular induzido pelo exercício (DMIE). O objetivo do presente estudo é investigar se a doença periodontal pode atuar como um modificador do DMIE em homens saudáveis. Foram avaliados 40 indivíduos, com idade entre 25 e 45 anos, que buscaram atendimento na faculdade de odontologia da UFRGS ou eram praticantes de atividades físicas. Questionário estruturado para obtenção de dados demográficos e comportamentais e o IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) foram aplicados. Dois periodontistas examinaram perda de inserção (PI), profundidade de sondagem, sangramento à sondagem e índices de placa e sangramento gengival no exame basal, juntamente com avaliações antropométricas. Os participantes então realizaram um protocolo de indução de dano muscular que incluiu cinco séries de 15 contrações excêntricas máximas dos quadríceps de uma perna, em um dinamômetro isocinético. Força muscular (contrações isométricas voluntárias máximas - CIVM), espessura e ecogenicidade muscular (ultrassonografia) e dor (escala visual analógica) foram avaliadas em diferentes momentos em relação ao protocolo. Modelos de regressão logística multivariados foram ajustados para idade, educação, índice de massa corporal, fumo, consumo de álcool, proteína C reativa e nível de atividade física. Nessa amostra, PI esteve associada a maiores reduções de força muscular após o protocolo, com um aumento de 1 mm na média de PI representando 7% a mais de redução na CIVM. Pode-se concluir, a partir dessa análise preliminar, que a doença periodontal pode ser considerada um modificador do processo de dano muscular, aumentando a deterioração da força muscular. / Exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD) and the different elements involved in it´s process has been largely studied. Periodontal diseases (PD) has been pointed out as a possible risk fator for a number of systemic conditions, like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, preterm birth, obesity, and others. Such associations has been atribbuted to the fact that PD can lead to a low-grade inflammatory process, characterized by elevated blood concentrations of biomarkers that are also involved in the EIMD mechanisms. The aim of this study is to assess whether PD can act as a EIMD modifier in healthy men. This study included 40 healthy males with 25-45 yrs that seek for treatment at Dentistry Faculty or are physical activiy practitioners. A structured questionnaire to obtain demographic and comportamental data and the IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) were applied. Two periodontists assessed attachment loss (AL), probing depth (PD), bleeding on probing (BOP), plaque and bleeding index in the baseline exam, together with anthropometrical evaluation. The participants then performed a muscle damage protocol comprising five sets of 15 maximum eccentric contractions of the quadriceps muscles of one leg in a isokinetic dynamometer. Evaluations of muscle strength (maximal voluntary isometric contraction), muscle thickness and echo intensity (ultrasonography images) and soreness (visual analogue scale) were made at different periods in relation to the protocol. Multivariable logistic models were fitted adjusting for age, education, body mass index (BMI), smoking, alcohol consumption, C-reactive protein (CRP) and physical activiy level. In this sample, AL was associated with higher reductions of muscle force, with a 1- mm increment in AL mean significantly decreased CIVM by 7%. It can be concuded, based on this preliminar analysis, that PD may be considered as a modifier of EIMD, increasing muscle strenght deterioration.

Välmående och olika träningsformer : Skillnader i välmående mellan de som tränar kondition, styrka och båda dessa träninsformer / Well-being and different types of exercise : Differences in well-being for those who exercise endurence, strenght or both

Befolkningens fysiska aktivitet har minskat och psykiskt nedsatt välbefinnande har blivit ett folkhälsoproblem. Därför är denna uppsats intresserad och undersöka skillnader i välmående för grupper med olika träningsvanor. Detta för att om det finns någon träningsform som är högre associerad med högt välmående så kunde den rekommenderas för dem som vill öka och befästa välmående. Grupperna som valdes var de som tränar styrka, kondition eller båda två. Undersökningen var också intresserad av att se om det var någon skillnad på dem som utövade idrott i förening eller inte samt de som tränade styrketräning eller kondition med andra eller inte. För att undersöka detta så fick personer fylla i en enkät om deras träningsvanor samt ett formulär som mäter välmående. Resultaten bearbetades i spss och visade att det flesta hade relativt högt välmående och inga stora skillnader mellan olika träningsformer kunde studeras. De som var högaktiva i konditonsträning, som tränade i förening och som alltid tränade med tillsammans med andra hade ett mycket högt medelvärde på välmående. Slutsats: för att höja välmående med träning bör den form som man är motiverad att träna rekommenderas men om man inte har så mycket tid att disponera till träning och målet endast är välmående så kan konditionsträning rekommenderas då den träningen var associerat med högst välmående med mindre träningstid för dem som var högaktiva i någon träningsform. Att idrotta i förening eller träna med vän eller i grupp kan också rekommenderas. / The physical activity in the population has reduced and low mental well-being has become a big problem in the country. This paper is therefore interested in study differences in wellbeing in groups with different training habits. Groups that trains either strength, endurance or both was chosen. This because if someone of these forms is stronger associated with wellbeing it could be recommended for those who would like to make their well-being higher. This paper was also interested to see if sport in organized form or training with a friend or group was associated with higher well-being than those who did not. To find this out a survey about forms of training and well-being was used to collect data. The results was analyzed in spss and it was shown that the most groups in this study hade a relatively high well-being and only small differences between the groups could be found. The groups who were highly active in endurance training, was member in organized sport and those who trained with a friend or in a group had the highest well-being. Conclusion: to get a higher well-being with training that form which the person is motivated is recommended but if that persons only goal is to achieve ha higher well-being and not so much time would like to be spent on training endurance training can be recommended because to be highly active in that was associated with better well-being than strength training. To be part of organized sport and to train with a friend or in group can also be recommended.
