[en] DESIGN, SCENERY AND ENTERTAINMENT: AN ANALYSIS OF THE THEMED SPACES EVOLUTION / [pt] DESIGN, CENOGRAFIA E ENTRETENIMENTO: UMA ANÁLISE DA EVOLUÇÃO DOS ESPAÇOS TEMÁTICOSFLAVIA DALBUQUERQUE ANDRADE 26 April 2004 (has links)
do
cotidiano onde todos os elementos compositivos devem
remeter claramente ao tema adotado; quanto mais
óbvia a identificação da narrativa melhor. Nesta
dissertação, procuramos entender a construção deste
modelo,
Buscamos,
ainda, dentro deste modelo temático, a identificação de
futuras tendências, onde se enquadrariam as grandes
marcas
que se tornam temas de si próprias. / [en] The addition of a theme during the conception of commercial
spaces can become a way of promoting them. More and more
establishments opt for the themed title willing to acquire
new values, especially those brought along with
the theme. This way, we create spaces of escape where all
the elements clearly refer to the adopted theme; the more
obvious the identification of the story told,
the better. In this dissertation we intended to understand
the construction of this model, the possible causes of its
consolidation and success; the reason for the
enchantment produced by the Themed Spaces, considered
always as historical products. We still searched, within
this thematic model, for the identification of
future tendencies in which can be included the brands that
turn into their own themes.

Adaptation of Luborsky’s Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) method : a phenomenological case studyKruger, J C 22 October 2007 (has links)
In this research a novel adaptation of Luborsky’s Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) method was implemented within a phenomenological methodology. The Duquesne phenomenological research method (DPRM) provided the framework for the new methodology. This new method was applied to a case study consisting of transcripts of therapy sessions conducted by the researcher with a Burning Mouth Syndrome (BMS) client. The CCRT method provides a useful structure for analysing relational experiences in transcripts. Application of the CCRT to a transcript however proved insufficient to provide the depth and richness of information that was of interest to the researcher. For this reason application of the CCRT as a technique within a broader phenomenological method was considered. This integration combines benefits of both methods, in terms of providing a more structured way of identifying meaning units in transcripts, as well as through retaining the depth and richness of recorded relational experiences. In the original CCRT method client accounts of relational interactions are analyzed in terms of the wishe/s, need/s and intention/s (WIN/s) of the client directed towards some person/s, the response of the other person/s and the client’s response to him/herself. In the proposed modification of the CCRT method the emphasis was changed to analysis of all accounts of interactions, even if occurring outside of therapy, as pertaining to interpersonal occurrences within the client-therapist relationship. Analysing transcripts in this way, i.e. emphasising the importance of current context, required a structured means of identifying relational experiences, not only in terms of the client’s WIN/s, but also in terms of the therapist’s WIN/s. The results of this study suggest that the above method resulted in increased insight and understanding of the interpersonal experiences examined, and that it transformed the therapist’s insight regarding his own role in interpersonal interactions with this specific client. The increased understanding resulting from this study should benefit future clients in therapy with the therapist. The modified method’s main contributions are that it provides a more structured approach to the identification of meaning units as well as a more formal way of including context through evaluation of the flow of experiences between relational experiences (REs). The main drawbacks of the method were the difficulties associated with demarcating REs and ordering of information in the developed Unit Interaction Record Sheet (UIRS). These difficulties initially caused application of the method to be very time consuming. This improved as the researcher’s expertise at using the new technique increased. Although the method has the potential to be a general tool for analysing transcripts, which are not limited to a specific theoretical orientation, further research is necessary to determine the usefulness of the modified methodology as a general research instrument. / Dissertation (MA (Clinical Psychology))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Psychology / MA / unrestricted

Psallendae Mariae: Marian Processional Chants of the Ambrosian RiteBruno, Emilie January 2012 (has links)
This interdisciplinary study examines a collection of chants intrinsically connected to the larger body of Western Chant: the psallendae. These chants of the Ambrosian rite, the form of Christian worship proper to the archdiocese of Milan, were sung during religious processions. With over 700 psallendae assigned to the Church calendar, this study examines only those assigned to feast days of the Virgin Mary, and in doing so, reveals a rich history of devotion to her.
The primary sources examined are thirteenth-century manuscripts and medieval liturgical manuals. The processional chants are subjected to a thorough literary and musical analysis. Rooted in François-Auguste Gevaert's thematic theory, and using tools of reticular and stemmatic analysis, the psallendae are grouped according to melodic profile. Each group is then reduced to a core melodic theme, which, when juxtaposed with the ancient practice of religious processions, makes a compelling argument for the psallendae as among the oldest Christian chants.

As a result of this perversity, there is an exclusion of a large number of poor and miserable people. Adding to this, there are serious environmental problems that affect the Earth. We reached the limits of globalization and realize the prediction of the transition to a different sociocultural formation that tries to rediscover our human condition. Ethics is one of the central topics in the humanization of people and in resolving the economic and social crisis. So the Workshop of Philosophy in Full-Time Public School becomes an important space for the teaching-learning process of a human life. In their curriculum organization, it works "Ethics" as the guiding axle and main content. In the research, we made two points: how far does the Workshop of Philosophy contributes to the ethical formation of citizen-students? And what is its contribution to the other curriculum components in working with this theme? This study is characterized as qualitative research, to delimit the study of fact. Research subjects were 05 teachers of 8th grade and 10 students and 05 of the 8th grade and 05 of the 1st grade in high school. On the way, we looked for theoretical training in the ethics of human beings at all times emphasizing the indispensable concepts. We listed the ethical principles based on our laws; we explored the concept of globalization, its impacts on education and the various answers to these, emerging new paradigms. The data collection was through documentary analysis, interviews and observations of school environments. From the data, we have two categories for analysis: training, ethics and citizenship of students and the cross subject approach by teachers of the 8th grade. The analysis revealed the contributions of the workshop for the training of ethics-citizen students and their influence on some subjects. However, there is the impact of neoliberal policies and the need for continuous training of teachers to the necessary paradigm change. Therefore this research tries to contribute to the dissemination of the work on the theme by offering new cross Ethics locus for learning practical "workshop", and also providing subsidies to encourage the formation and practice of
teachers about the subject. : En undersökning av subjektets tillblivelse i tecknandet av självporträtt / Could You Mimic My Mouth so I Know What it Looks Like? : An Examination of theBecoming of the Subject in the Drawing of Self-PortraitMazzi, Linda January 2020 (has links)

Planta de reciclaje con parque temático / Recycling plant with theme parkFortunic Soriano, Fiorella Yesú 14 September 2019 (has links)
The project is a Recycling Plant: Eco Parque Tecnológica, for the Integration of Population, Industry and Environment. The project is a pilot plan for garbage management in our country and an adequate design of environmental industry, which has an urban space for integration of the population with the industry, a hybrid building. The main objective is the design of a waste collection, selection and separation plant, which includes opening to the city through spaces, green areas, and, at the same time, helping to disseminate knowledge related to recycling and care environmental, in addition to creating a more personal link between this industry and the user, all this is achieved by the custom inclusive design of the project where it integrates offices, industry and park. In addition, a better concept of industrial architecture would be shown, it will no longer be seen as the industry apart from everything but as the industry that is involved with a teaching and recreation environment, as well as being ecologically friendly.
The project is self-sustainable since a wastewater treatment plant is planned, with this there is water for maintenance of green areas and for the toilets of the park facilities, on the other hand, clean energy to supply the project facilities and Low maintenance materials and environmental impact. / Trabajo de suficiencia profesional

Omphile Umphi Modise : diteng le dimelo tsa baanelwabagolo (Setswana)Moepi, Gaamele Francina 07 July 2011 (has links)
This study examines D.P.S Monyaise’s short story titled Omphile Umphi Modise which were scrutinized by Mogapi (1992), Pretorius (1990), Manyaka (1992), Shole (1997) and Malimabe (1998). Their investigation did not only focus on the content of the short story, but also concentrated on the structure and style of the author. When scrutinizing Omphile Umphi Modise, the focus mainly falls on content and characterization of the characters. This research is based on an adopted narratological model, which is used by Groenewald (1993) and Mojalefa (1994).. When investigating the content, emphasis is put on the topic as a theme and part of the plot, which is imperative in the analysis of Omphile Umphi Modise. Two terms which are to define and describe are used to explain and unravel ideas that were used by the writer to simplify the problems a reader would encounter in this investigation. When analyzing the content as theory, the following four elements are noticed: characters, events, time and place. Another important aspect on the level of content is the division of the characters into two subgroups, namely quarrelsome and kindhearted.. In Omphile Umphi Modise, the kindhearted is Motlalepule, while the quarrelsome is rraModise who blatantly refuses to see Motlalepule’s good side. These two characters are described by the following: intention, patronage abilities, success and resistance. The investigation explains that the theme, which is ‘keeping a secret can lead to one’s doom’, is the one that connects the events and the plot, with the intention of highlighting the message to attract the reader. Design is one of the most important aspects of the plot. It is herewithin divided into two sections which highlight the characterization of the protagonist and antagonist as well as the revelation of the aspect of tragedy in Omphile Umphi Modise. The characters are divided into two sections, namely main and minor characters. The main characters are the protagonist, the antagonist and the tritagonist. The antagonist in Omphile Umphi Modise is rraModise/Mosimane yo o tedu tsebeng/ tedu tsa katse who is portrayed to be evil because he mandated Thandi, a minor character, to put drugs in the tea Motlalepule was about to drink, and sadly ended up drinking it herself. After she was drugged, mosimane yo tedu tsebeng/tedu tsa katse raped and impregnated her. The writer uses techniques to explain the personality traits of the characters. He employs a distinguishing technique to highlight personality traits of Motlalepule which are beauty, misfortune, suffering, and poverty. These are explained by the following techniques: focus, differentiation, conflict, use of the possessive, use of the adjective form, point of view, use of diminutive form, exaggeration, use of the pronoun, use of idioms, proverbs and, similes and omission. Differentiation is employed to highlight leadership as a personality trait of the antagonist, mosimane yo o tedu tsebeng/ tedu tsa katse/rraModise is which is explained by two techniques: indicative mood and point of view. / Dissertation (MA)--University of Pretoria, 2011. / African Languages / unrestricted
