Fertigungssteuerung in der Musterfertigung von Systemlieferanten

Kienzle, Florian 09 January 2012 (has links) (PDF)
Sample production of tier 1 automotive suppliers demands producing simultaneously different product samples in many customised versions and within various maturity levels. The associated variability of the time-phased work content leads to a high degree of complexity and turbulence in the manufacturing process of such a production type. Therefore, sample production control becomes significantly more complicated and most existing control approaches fail in the real world. For this reason the present thesis examines this subject matter by means of a comparative case study. Based on the findings a customized production control concept will be introduced that fully adapts the specific needs of sample production of tier 1 automotive suppliers.

The effects of complexity, choice and control on the behaviour and the welfare of captive common marmosets (Callithrix jacchus)

Badihi, Inbal January 2006 (has links)
There are numerous guidelines recommending that captive primates live in complex environments in which they have the opportunity to make choices and the ability to control aspects of the environment, despite the lack of quantitative evidence to suggest these qualities improve welfare. Complexity, choice and control (the ‘Three Cs’) are inter-related and therefore it is complicated to separate their effects. The main aim of this thesis was to examine how the ‘Three Cs’ affect welfare, using the common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) as a model. Behavioural measures and preference tests were used to determine the impact and significance of the ‘Three Cs’ on welfare. Experimental manipulations were natural (i.e. access to outside runs), or unnatural (e.g. pressing a button to control additional illumination). In a series of different studies, marmosets were moved to larger and more complex enclosures, were allowed to choose between indoor cages and outdoor complex enclosures and were able to control additional white light or coloured lights in their home enclosures. The results of these studies show that appropriate levels of each of the ‘Three Cs’ had a positive influence on the welfare of the marmosets, especially on youngsters. Although having control over light, and increased illumination itself improved welfare, providing a choice of access to outside runs (which were more complex and allowed the marmosets greater control over their activities) resulted in the greatest welfare improvement for marmosets of all ages. Loss of access, or control, did not appear to have a negative impact. The marmosets were housed in pairs or in family groups, in the different studies. A cross-study comparison shows that the composition of the groups affected the behavioural response of adult marmosets to environmental enrichment. Unexpectedly, it was also found that, when housed in standard laboratory conditions, adult marmosets were more relaxed when housed in pairs than when housed with their offspring. A secondary aim of the thesis was to quantify welfare indicators and activity budgets of common marmosets in a range of different social and physical contexts, and to compare this with the behaviour of wild marmosets, to increase our understanding of what is “normal” in captive situations. It is concluded that it is critical to sub-divide locomotion and inactivity into different levels to interpret these measures accurately. Levels of calm locomotion increased in enriched environments, while levels of relaxed inactivity and scent marking decreased. A number of recommendations for the care and housing of marmosets are made.

Mobile Velocity Estimation Using a Time-Frequency Approach

Azemi, Ghasem January 2003 (has links)
This thesis deals with the problem of estimating the velocity of a mobile station (MS)in a mobile communication system using the instantaneous frequency (IF) of the received signal at the MS antenna. This estimate is essential for satisfactory handover performance, effective dynamic channel assignment, and optimisation of adaptive multiple access wireless receivers. Conventional methods for estimating the MS velocity are based either on the statistics of the envelope or quadrature components of the received signal. In chapter 4 of the thesis, we show that their performance deteriorates in the presence of shadowing. Other velocity estimators have also been proposed which require prior estimation of the channel or the average received power. These are generally difficult to obtain due to the non-stationary nature of the received signal. An appropriate window which depends on the unknown MS velocity must first be applied in order to accurately estimate the required quantities. Using the statistics of the IF of the received signal at the MS antenna given in chapter 3, new velocity estimators are proposed in chapter 4 of this thesis. The proposed estimators are based on the moments, zero-crossing rate, and covariance of the received IF. Since the IF of the received signal is not affected by any amplitude distortion, the proposed IF-based estimators are robust to shadowing and propagation path-loss. The estimators for the MS velocity in a macro- and micro-cellular system are presented separately. A macro-cell system can be considered as a special case of a micro-cell in which there is no line-of-sight component at the receiver antenna. It follows that those estimators which are derived for micro-cells can be used in a macro-cell as well. In chapter 4, we analyse the performance of the proposed velocity estimators in the presence of additive noise, non-isotropic scattering, and shadowing. We also prove analytically that the proposed velocity estimators outperform the existing methods in the presence of shadowing and additive noise. The proposed IF-based estimators need prior estimation of both the IF of the received signal and Ricean K-factor. The IF estimation in a typical wireless environment, can be considered as a special case of a general problem of IF estimation in the presence of multiplicative and additive noise. In chapter 5, we show that current time-frequency approaches to this problem which are based on the peak of a time-frequency distribution (TFD) of the signal, fail because of the special shape of the power spectral density of the multiplicative noise in a wireless environment. To overcome this drawback, the use of the first-order moment of a TFD is studied in chapter 5. Theoretical analysis and simulations show that the IF estimator based on the first-order moment of a TFD exhibits negligible bias when the signal-to-additive noise ratio is more than 10 dB. The Ricean K-factor is not only necessary for velocity estimation in micro-cells, but also is a measure of the severity of fading and a good indicator of the channel quality. Two new methods for estimating the Ricean K-factor based on the first two moments of the envelope of the received signal, are proposed in chapter 6. Performance analysis presented in chapter 6, prove that the proposed K estimators are robust to non-isotropic scattering. Theoretical analysis and simulations which are presented in chapters 4 and 7 of this thesis, prove that the proposed velocity and K estimators outperform existing estimators in the presence of shadowing and additive noise.

Ανάπτυξη και υλοποίηση δικτυακής πύλης αναζήτησης και εύρεσης βιβλίων βασισμένη σε τεχνολογίες Web 2.0 και σε οντολογίες με χαρακτήρα εξατομίκευσης

Καλού, Αικατερίνη 13 July 2010 (has links)
In the present diploma thesis, one qualitative review is realised for the concepts of Semantic Web and of technologies of representation of knowledge and reasoning that being in this, such as ontologies, methods and tools for ontology development, representation languages of ontologies as well as the extension of expressiveness of ontologies with the addition of rules. Also, it becomes an extensive report in an other evolutionary tendency, that dominates in the space of Web, Web 2.0. In the scope of Web 2.0, concepts such as mashups and Web APIs are analyzed. Specifically for the concept of Web APIs, we make a report and an analysis of concrete APIs, as those of Amazon and EBay. The concepts of Semantic Web and Web 2.0 are presented a lot of times as competitive for the future of Web. Nevertheless, it becomes more and more obvious that these two concepts are complemental. In the scope of these diploma thesis, was developed an application which combines these two dominant technological tendencies. In particular, the application constitutes a framework of searching books from Amazon and Half eBay with a personalised character. For the application, each user constitutes an autonomous entity. Consequently, the content of application is adapted depending on the profile of user each time. The implementation of application is supported exclusively in the ontology development, in the writing of rules (for the personalisation), in the creation of a mashup and in Web APIs. Finally, it is marked that the application is supported in a distributed 3-tier architecture.

The international financial reporting standard for small and medium-sized entities : the need and form of a third-tier financial reporting standard in Namibia

Klink, Petra 27 May 2016 (has links)
The development of the International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Entities (IFRS for SMEs) was based on the demand for a more simplified financial reporting standard, compared to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Despite simplifications, the requirements of the IFRS for SMEs are still regarded complex and costly to apply, especially for micro entities in developing countries such as Namibia. Consequently, there is a need to further simplify financial reporting requirements for micro entities in the form of a third-tier financial reporting standard. A third-tier standard can take the form of either a separately developed standard or a simplification of existing standard(s). There are more advantages to the development of a standard based on existing standard(s), taking into account the Namibian financial reporting environment. It is therefore recommended that Namibia develop a third-tier standard based on the IFRS for SMEs. / Financial Accounting / M. Phil. (Accounting Science)

Monistická organizační struktura české akciové společnosti po rekodifikaci soukromého práva / Monistic organizational structure of a Czech joint-stock company after recodification of private law

Chlup, Marek January 2016 (has links)
Monistic organisational structure of a Czech joint-stock company after recodification of private law. This thesis deals with the monistic organisational structure in Czech legal system. The possibility of choosing the one-tier system was given to the Czech joint-stock companies thanks to recodification of private law, under which, effective as at 1. 1. 2014, was adopted The Business Corporation Act. However, implementation of this obligatory option was not without difficulties. The legislator had chosen inconvenient solution when, unlike in the foreign jurisdiction, there are obligatory constituted two organs. Such a conception, based on links on the dualistic system, creates many interpretation difficulties. In the beginning of this thesis, I introduce internal organisational structures in the view of broader framework of corporate governance. Further, I characterize various organisational structures, classify them and point out their differences. The main focus is on the third chapter. First, I describe the development of the Czech legislation until present state. Flowingly, I characterize the Czech one-tier system, and then I analyse the organs that are in monistic organisational structure constituted. Special attention was requested by the board of directors and statutory directors. The largest...

Organizační struktura monisticky řízené evropské společnosti / Organization of a European Company with a Monistic Type of Management

Věžníková, Petra January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with a one-tier (monistic) board structure of a European company (Societas Europaea) which has its registered seat in the Czech Republic. The governance of a European company is largely dependent on the national legislation, which has been in the Czech Republic significantly amended by a substantial recodification of private law. The thesis focuses on some of the interpretative difficulties that the new legislation has brought to the regulation of the monistic European Company, and presents some possible solutions thereto. In addition the statistical overview over the current state of European companies within Europe is included and commented upon. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Monistická organizační struktura české akciové společnosti po rekodifikaci soukromého práva / Monistic organizational structure of a Czech joint-stock company after recodification of private law

Koprnický, Jan January 2015 (has links)
Monistic organizational structure of a Czech join-stock company after recodification of private law Traditionally, the only board structure available for national joint-stock companies under the laws of the Czech Republic was two-tier model based on strict division of corporate governance functions between two separate boards. With the effect as of January 1st 2014, new Business Corporations Act no. 90/2012 Coll. ("Act") has introduced alternative statutory framework for one-tier board structure for join-stock companies which have its seat in the Czech Republic and thus are governed by the Czech laws. The Act made it possible for shareholders to choose between both models of board structures as what they deemed would fit best the purpose of their business. In this narrow sense the addition may have been looked at as praiseworthy. However the imperfect implementation of one-tier model of corporate governance into Czech law has raised serious interpretational issues which may effectively render this model unacceptable for adoption because the division of powers between the board of directors and general manager remains unclear. The main purpose of my thesis is to address this issue by clarifying the scope of powers which are vested by the law in the board of directors and general manager of the...
