Understanding consumer adoption of mobile payment in India: Extending Meta-UTAUT model with personal innovativeness, anxiety, trust, and grievance redressal

Yes / Mobile payments are the future as we move towards a cashless society. In some markets, cash is already being replaced by digital transactions, but consumers of many developing countries are slower in transition towards digital payments. This study aims to identify major determinants of consumer mobile payment adoption in India the country with second largest mobile subscribers in the world. Existing mobile payments adoption studies have predominantly utilised Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which was primarily developed in organisational context and criticised for having deterministic approach without much consideration for users’ individual characteristics. Therefore, this study adapted meta-UTAUT model with individual difference variable attitude as core construct and extended the model with consumer related constructs such as personal innovativeness, anxiety, trust, and grievance redressal. Empirical examination of the model among 491 Indian consumers revealed performance expectancy, intention to use, and grievance redressal as significant positive predictor of consumer use behaviour towards mobile payment. Moreover, intention to use was significantly influenced by attitude, social influence, and facilitating conditions. The major contribution of this study includes re-affirming the central role of attitude in consumer adoption studies and examining usage behaviour in contrast to most existing studies, which examine only behavioural intention.

Digitaliseringen av svensk bankverksamhet : Om prisets påverkan av kundernas val

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om faktorn pris påverkar konsumenter vid användning av bankens digitala tjänster. Metod: Vår studie är baserad på en kvantitativ forskningsmetod, som genomfördes medwebbaserade enkäter. Av de 164 påbörjade enkäterna, fick vi ut 162 representativa svar.Av insamlad empirisk data gjorde vi sedan en korrelationsanalys med hjälp avprogrammet SPSS. Analys: Studien visar att variabeln pris har en påverkan på kunder i valet av att användabankernas digitala tjänster. Pris tenderar att bli mindre framträdande då kunden uppleverett högt PU (upplevd användbarhet) eller PEOU (upplevd användarvänlighet). Förslag på vidare forskning: En replikation av denna studie hade varit intressant att semed ett annat urval. Vid genomförandet av denna studie har vi använt oss av ettbekvämlighetsurval, där större delen av respondenterna haft tidigare erfarenhet avinternetbanken. Teoretiskt och Praktiskt bidrag: Studien tydliggör att priset har en betydelse föracceptansen av ny teknologi, i detta fall internetbanken. Cette recherche porte sur les déterminants de l’intention d’utilisation d’un service RH numérisé par des salariés. Partant des théories d’acceptation et d’adoption des technologies, nous avons adopté le TAM comme noyau de notre modèle. Ainsi, notrerecherche contribue à la compréhension de l’acceptation ou du rejet d’information RH numérisée dans un environnement professionnel, et à la détermination des facteurs explicatifs de cette acceptation et de l’intention d’utilisation par les utilisateurs potentiels. La posture proposée dans notre recherche apporte un éclairage original sur l'adoption des services RH numérisés. Notre recherche met en évidence le rôle important de la fonction RH dans l'adoption du service RH numérisé, le long de sa mise en place et après sa mise en place. Les résultats obtenus suggèrent que les deux croyances de TAM, l'influence sociale, l'image, la compatibilité, l'utilisation volontaire sont des déterminants de l'intention d'utilisation du service RH numérisé. Nos résultats, obtenus après évaluation du modèle structurel et le test des hypothèses en utilisant l'approche PLS, fournissent des indications sur la façon de procéder pour favoriser la mise en place d'un projet de dématérialisation RH et de la transformation numérique de la fonction RH. / This research focuses on the determinants of the intention to use the digital HR information of employees. Based on the approval theories and technology's adoption, we chose the TAM as the core of our model. Thus, our study contributes to the understanding or the reject of the the digital HR information in a professional environment and to find out the explanatory facts of this approval and the intention of using it by potential users. To give an answer to this problematic, the model developed and implemented, is inspired by the theories and theoretical models that treated the behavior of acceptance and use of information systems (TAM TAM2, UTAUT, UTAUT2 .. ) and the results of two exploratory studies. The proposed posture in our search highlights the adoption of digital RH information. Our study also conducted us to well understand the main reasons of the adoption of the e-HRM service by employees. As well as our research puts in obviousness the important role that the RH function plays in the use of the digital RH service along and after its muse en place. The results obtained after the evolution of this framework model and the hypothesis test using the PLS approach suggest that there are hints of the way of proceeding to foster of the settling of the dematerialization of the RH project and the digital transformation of the RH function.

Génération et fonctions des macrophages immunorégulateurs / Generation and functions of immunoregulatory macrophages

Selon les facteurs solubles de l’environnement (cytokines), les monocytes peuvent se différencier en macrophages (Mφ) ou en cellules dendritiques. Mes travaux de thèse montrent que l’IL-34, un second ligand du M-CSF-R (c-fms ou CD115), induit la différenciation de monocytes humains en macrophages CD14+ CD163+ (IL-34-Mφ), phénotypiquement et fonctionnellement similaires aux M-CSF-Mφ et aux macrophages associés aux tumeurs (TAM) isolés du cancer de l’ovaire. Ils possèdent des propriétés immunosuppressives et diminuent la prolifération des lymphocytes T CD4+ activés. Comme les Mφ orchestrent la réponse immunitaire, j’ai évalué la capacité des M-CSF-Mφ, IL-34-Mφ et des TAM à polariser les LT CD4+ mémoires. Les résultats montrent qu’ils polarisent des LT non-Th17 mémoires en LTh17 CCR4+ CCR6+ CD161+ conventionnels exprimant ou non de l’IFN. Ce processus est médié par l’expression constitutive de l’IL-1α membranaire exprimées sur ces macrophages.Dans le but d’identifier des stratégies pour prévenir l’accumulation de ces Mφ dans le cancer, j’ai montré que (i) l’IFNγ et le GM-CSF inhibent la différenciation des M-CSF-Mφ et IL-34-Mφ et que (ii) l’IFNγ permet la réversion des M-CSF-Mφ et IL-34-Mφ en Mφ immunostimulants. En conclusion, mes travaux montrent que les M-CSF-Mφ, IL-34-Mφ et les TAM, considérés initialement comme anti-inflammatoires, induisent la génération de lymphocytes Th17 via une expression constitutive de l’IL-1α. Ce processus pourrait contribuer à maintenir, localement, une inflammation modérée nécessaire au développement tumoral. / According to the soluble factors in the environment (cytokines), monocytes differentiate into macrophages (Mϕ) or dendritic cells. This project demonstrates that IL-34, a second ligand of the M-CSF receptor (c-fms or CD115), induces the differentiation of human monocytes into CD14high CD163 high Mφ (IL-34-Mφ), phenotypically and functionally similar to M-CSF-Mφ and to tumorassociated macrophages (TAM) isolated from the ovarian cancer. They exhibit potent immunosuppressive properties and decrease the proliferation of stimulated Tcells. As Mφ orchestrate the immune response, I have evaluated the capacity of M-CSF-Mφ, IL-34-Mφ and TAM to polarize human memory CD4+ T cells. Unexpectedly, results showed that they switch non- Th17 memory CD4+ T cells into conventional CCR4+ CCR6+ CD161+ Th17 cells, expressing or not IFNγ. This process is mediated by the constitutive expression of membrane IL-1α on these Mϕ subsets. In an attempt to identify strategies to prevent an accumulation of immunomodulatory Mϕ in cancer, I have shown that (i) IFNγ and GM-CSF prevent M-CSFandIL-34-induced monocyte differentiation into immunosuppressive Mφ and (ii) that IFNγ switchesestablished M-CSF-Mφ and IL-34-Mφ into immunostimulatory Mφ. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that human MCSF- Mφ, IL-34-Mφ and TAM initially considered as antiinflammatorycells, induce in vitro Th17 cell generation via a constitutive expression of membrane IL-1α. This process may contribute to maintain locally a restrained and smoldering inflammation required for angiogenesis and metastasis in tumors.

Les TIC au service de la qualité des formations : le cas des programmes vietnamiens évalués par l'ASEAN University Network / The ICT supporting the training quality : case study of the Vietnamese programmes assessed by the ASEAN University Network

Depuis plus d'une vingtaine d'années, la qualité de l'éducation au Vietnam est souvent remise en cause et le système éducatif fait l'objet de plusieurs débats et initiatives de rénovation, sans pour autant atteindre les résultats attendus. Innover par le numérique et intégration internationale figurent parmi les priorités fixées dans la politique nationale, notamment au niveau d’enseignement supérieur. Beaucoup de programmes d’enseignement supérieur au Vietnam ont été évalués par l'ASEAN University Network (AUN). Parmi de nombreux critères de cette démarche d'évaluation, 15 sous-critères concernent de près ou de loin l'usage des TIC dans les formations. L’analyse des résultats de quatre programmes vietnamiens évalués en 2009 et 2011 montre qu'il existe une différence dans la perception réelle des sous-critères liés aux TIC entre les parties prenantes internes et les évaluateurs externes de ces programmes. À partir de ce constat, nous élaborons un instrument de mesure susceptible de permettre à tous les acteurs internes et externes d’un programme de formation d’identifier ce qui contribue à la satisfaction des étudiants vis-à-vis de l’usage des TIC dans les cours dispensés. Différents modèles existants (TAM, CEQ, SCEQ, eLEQ) ont été intégrés et adaptés dans le contexte de l’évaluation des programmes par l’AUN. Des enquêtes ont été menées auprès de plusieurs centaines d’étudiants de cinq programmes évalués en 2009, 2011 et 2014. Les résultats permettent de confirmer la validité et l’ajustement du modèle que nous proposons. / Since more than twenty years, the educational quality has been subject to lots of public debates in Vietnam. Several renovation solutions was adopted without achieving the expected results. As the country has strongly integrated the international market, ICT-based innovation and international quality assessment become first priorities fixed in the national educational policies. A lot of training programmes have been assessed by the ASEAN University Network (AUN). Among the criteria used in this quality-assurance assessment, encompassing 15 sub-criteria that relate more or less to the use of the ICT in the educational activities. We analyzed the results of four Vietnamese programmes assessed in 2009 and 2011 and founded that there is a significant difference of the perception about the ICT use quality between the internal stakeholders and the external assessors in these programmes. From this revelation, we aim to elaborate a measurement instrument which may help all of the programme’s internal or external stakeholders to identify the factors contributing to the students’ satisfaction about the ICT use in their degree courses. Some existing models such as TAM, CEQ, SCEQ, eLEQ were integrated in the context of AUN-QA assessment at the programme level. The survey was conducted at five Vietnamese programmes assessed in 2009, 2011 and 2014, with 453 full responses. The data analysis confirms the validity of our proposed measurement model.

I den här uppsatsen har faktorer för en ökad användaracceptans och diffusion av Video on demand(VOD)-tjänster identifierats med hjälp av en litteraturgenomgång av tidigare studier i acceptans och diffusion. Litteraturgenomgången ligger till grund för en lista av faktorer som gör en konsument mer villig att anamma en VOD-tjänst. Faktorerna har sedan utvärderas genom en kvantitativ undersökning med hjälp av en webbenkät. Resultatet blev i stor grad det som förväntat där det framgår att utbud och kostnad är de viktigaste faktorerna för en hög acceptans, men även andra faktorer kan spela in som användarvänlighet, kvalitet och sociala faktorer. / This paper has identified factors for increased user acceptance and diffusion of Video on Demand(VOD) services through a literature review of previous studies. The literature review was used to make a list of factors that make a consumer more willing to use a VOD service. The factors are then evaluated through a quantitative study using an online questionnaire. The result was to a large degree what was expected, which shows that content and cost are the main factors for a high acceptance, but other factors may play in as well such as ease-of-use, quality, and social factors.

Pedagogers adaption av surfplattor : En studie av implementeringen av iPad i en F-5 skola

The tablet is a new IT-tool which have started to get introduced into school, but research is still missing and especially in the pre-school environment. The purpose with this study is to investigate teachers uptake, how they use the tablet in everyday pedagogy work as well as the organizational conditions that that facilitate and hinders. Through my observations and interviews in a Swedish K-5 school I have found that the teachers find tablets more appealing to use in comparison to computers. These findings are partly supported by Davis et al.’s (1989) TAM-theory who considers there to be three types of aspects that affect the way individuals adapt to technology. Firstly the teachers’ motivation increased when they saw the usefulness in the tablet in both educational and administrative possibilities. Secondly, the tablet is perceived as an ease of use-artifact which in it self gives the teachers incentive for usage. Thirdly, the infrastructure problem that exists around computers creates an escape to the more appealing tablets.

Swahili ist keineswegs eine besonders „exotische“ Sprache, aber dennoch fällt es schwer, eine gu-te moderne Grammatik des Standard-Swahili (Kiswahili sanifu) zu finden. Insbesondere die Inter-pretation der vorkommenden Tempora, Aspekte oder Modi des Verbs sind in den erhältlichen Grammatiken diskrepant bis widersprüchlich. Der Artikel versucht, einen systematischen Ansatz für eine strukturelle Matrix des TAM-Systems im Swahili herauszuarbeiten. Dabei beziehe ich mich auf die von Shankara Bhat in The Prominence of Tense, Aspect and Mood (1999) vorge-schlagene typologische Methode. Bhat legt dar, dass nicht jede Sprache jede Dimension von TAM gleich gewichtet, sondern dass jeweils eine davon vorherrscht. Eine Analyse von TAM in einer be-stimmten Sprache muss sich daher an der prominenten Dimension orientieren. Im Artikel wird herausgearbeitet, dass das Tempus die strukturierende Dimension im Swahili darstellt und dass im Gegensatz dazu der Aspekt nicht systematisch grammatikalisiert ist. Dabei war es nötig, die im Swahili vorkommenden TAM-Formen funktional zu interpretieren und zu benennen, da diese in der aktuellen Literatur teilweise sehr unterschiedlich analysiert werden.

Sedan tidigt 90-tal har internet utvecklats och fått ett större inflytande på marknaden. Web 2.0 har varit en del i den utvecklingen och definieras som en teknologisk infrastruktur som har aktiverat det sociala fenomenet på webben. Web 2.0 har där igenom gett konsumenter en möjlighet att kommunicera med företag via sociala medier. I och med utvecklingen av Web 2.0 kan företag interagera med sina kunder genom nya kommunikationskanaler såsom Facebook, Twitter och Youtube med flera. Sociala medier har en ekonomisk fördel då marknadsföring kan genomföras till en lägre kostnad. Dock menar vissa forskare att sociala medier fortfarande befinner sig i ett embryo-tillstånd då experter tvivlar på dess faktiska betydelse. Att marknadsföra sig online har även bidragit till att teknologiska barriärer minskat, oavsett företagetsstorlek och resurser. Syfte med studien var att mäta små och medelstora företags attityder till och användande av sociala medier. Uppsatsen har genomförts med hjälp av en kvantitativ metod där vi valde att skicka ut en webbenkät till 350 slumpmässigt utvalda små till medelstora företag. Utifrån studiens resultat fann vi tendenser som pekade mot att det var vanligare att B2C företag använder sociala medier. De företag som inte använde sig av sociala medier menade bland annat på att företaget saknade kunskap eller anledning till att använda sociala medier samt att det var för tidskrävande. / For the past twenty years Internet has developed and increased its as cendant on themarket. Web 2.0 has been a part of that development and can be defined as a technical infra structure, which activated the social phenomena on the web and consumers chance to respond and interact with companies through social media. Facebook,Twitter and Youtube are examples of popular social media channels. Social media has economic advantages and can be implemented on a low budget compared to other marketing channels. How ever, some researchers state that social media is still in anembryonic state since experts are having doubts about social media’s actual importance. Online marketing has decreased the technological gap, regardless of company size and resources. The purpose with this study was to measure small and medium sized companies’ attitudes towards and usage of social media. A quantitative method was used for this assignment. A web survey was sent out to a random sample of 350 companies. Based on the results, we could see differences between B2B companies and B2C companies that suggested that users of social media were more common among B2C companies. Companies, which did not use social media,suggested that their company lacked knowledge or reason to use social media. In addition some companies claimed that social media was time consuming.
