As Zonas de Colaboração observadas a partir do movimento MetaReciclagem, uma rede que nasceu no campo da comunicação já no âmbito de uma cultura digital brasileira, em 2002, a partir da conversação na Internet de um grupo de pessoas sobre o desenvolvimento de blogs, reaproveitamento montagem/desmontagem de computadores, na interrelação entre essas ferramentas e a constituição de projetos colaborativos. O objeto de pesquisa é a relação comunicativa entre os membros do movimento que se contitui no ambiente virtual do MetaReciclagem. O método de pesquisa é a pesquisa-ação por meio de intervenção na lista de discussão do MetaReciclagem propondo uma metareflexão sobre as ações e resultantes do movimento ao longo dos anos. Abordagens quantitativa por meio de coleta de dados no ambiente virtual do MetaReciclagem (http://rede.metareciclagem.org) e qualitativa, coleta de depoimentos e conversações on-line dos membros que esboçaram suas opiniões e trocaram idéias a respeito do problema de pesquisa apresentado. Análise de dados por meio da técnica denominada análise de conteúdo e, dentro dessa, trabalhando com a técnica análise temática categorial. Os resultados demonstram que as Zonas de Colaboração são capazes de promover agenciamentos coletivos e intervenções sociais em políticas públicas de inclusão digital por meio das características da rede e do engajamento das pessoas. Tais transformações só acontecem pelo caráter não-hierárquico e não-institucionalizado do movimento do MetaReciclagem que promove a disseminação e replicação por meio de uma metodologia que privilegia a produção de subjetividade e a apropriação da tecnologia social em diferentes contextos culturais. / The Collaborative Zones observed in the MetaReciclagem (MetaRecycling Network) that arose out of the field of on-line communication, which was already enveloping Brazilian digital culture, in 2002, from a conversation on the internet among a group of people debating the development of blogs, reuse/recycling of computer parts, the interdependence of these tools and the constitution of collaborative projects. The purpose of this study is about the communication between the members of MetaRecycling Network (MetaReciclagem) and it\'s process as constituted in Collaborative Zones, result in actions of intervention in social situations in Brazil. This study proposes a research-action methodology, through intervention in the discussion lists of MetaRecycling, thus proposing a meta-reflection on the actions and results of the movement over the years. It involves quantitative (through the collection of data in the MetaRecycling virtual environment (http://rede.metareciclagem.org) and qualitative approaches, collecting on-line statements and conversations between members that sketch out their opinions and exchanging ideas regarding the issues of the presented research. It also involves data analysis by means of a technique entitled content analysis and, within this, working with categorical thematic technical analysis. The results have shown that Collaborative Zones are capable of leading to collective brokering and social interventions, as well as public policies involving digital inclusion through the characteristics of the network and consequent engagement with people. Such transformations can only happen because of the non-hierarchical and noninstitutionalized nature of the MetaRecycling movement, which promotes the dissemination and replication of methodology that privileges the production of subjectivity and the appropriation of social technology in different cultural contexts.

Relationen är A och O : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om vad skolkuratorer anser vara förutsättningar för att bygga en relation med ungdomar / The relationship is the key

Utgångspunkten i studien var relationens betydelse och fokus i studien har varit att undersöka vad skolkuratorer anser vara förutsättningar för att bygga en relation med ungdomar. För att möjliggöra det har sex semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med skolkuratorer i tre kommuner i Sverige. Det empiriska materialet har analyserats genom en tematisk analysmetod där huvudtemat Relationens betydelse framkom, vidare har fyra centrala teman som förutsätter relationsskapande analyserats fram. Respektive tema har ett undertema för att möjliggöra en fördjupning. Följande centrala teman och underteman var; Att finnas där och att lyssna, Att använda sin kunskap och att möta ungdomen där den är, Att vara människokännare och att vara flexibel, Att vara människa och att göra det lilla extra. Resultatet diskuteras utifrån tidigare forskning och Carl Rogers teori om den personcentrerade terapin samt Rogers tankar om den terapeutiska relationen. Studiens huvudsakliga slutsats var att relationen är A och O. / The starting point in this study was the importance of the relationship. The investigation examines school counselors experiences of creating conditions for relationships with young people. Six semi-structured interviews were conducted with school counselors in three Swedish municipalities. A thematic analysis was used to analyze the empirical material were the main theme the importance of the relationship was found. Four key themes of relationship creating conditions were also discovered. The central themes have subthemes to deepen the analysis. These central themes and subthemes were; To be there and to listen, To use the knowledge and to meet the youths perspective, To know people and to be flexible, To be a human being and to do more than required. The results have been discussed in relation to past research and the theory of Carl Rogers on person centered therapy and Rogers thoughts on the therapeutic relationship. The mail conclusion of the study was that the relationship is the key.

Getting out of Strange Spaces : A Reconstructive Reading of Paul Auster’s Oracle Night

As the title of this essay suggests, Paul Auster’s 2003 novel Oracle Night is studied with regard to what is here considered to be a search for a way out of estrangement. This search, as narrated from the point of view of the protagonist, is followed by a certain recognition of the limits of human existence – which may be essentially meaningless but is nevertheless portrayed as an intentional state of being, not least through the act of writing as a means of subjectification. Thus, the novel is read with a special focus on the thematic representation of writing and human subjectivity. These overarching themes may be approached with reference to two different philosophies or theoretical positions – postmodernism and existentialism. The purpose of the essay is to study the extent to which Oracle Night may be understood in terms of an existentialist (reconstructive) critique of, or challenge to, a postmodernist (deconstructive) perspective. In order to follow this line of inquiry, the analytic method rests on narrative thematics. This kind of narratological study answers the question what Auster’s novel is about and in what ways the theoretical perspectives in question are expressed in the novel. Thematic motifs are examined within the frame of a six-step model of narrative units. These units are based on Carsten Springer’s (2001) elaboration on the theme of identity crisis in Auster’s fiction and made it possible to put different motifs into a context and convey the point of view of the text in a systematic way.

Vårt syfte med uppsatsen har varit att lyfta fram ungdomarnas egna ord av att befinna sig inom Statens institutionsstyrelses vård i Sverige. För att få en djup och beskrivande bild har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod och analyserat vårt material utifrån en tematisk analys av texterna i boken ”Kärlek + Lycka + Svek= Tårar”, utgiven 2017 av Statens institutionsstyrelse där ungdomar delar med sig av sina erfarenheter av livet på ett SiS-hem. Den tematiska analysen resulterade i tre huvudteman, ”att inte vara delaktig i sitt eget liv”, ”ett kontrollerat liv” och ”jag räcker inte till”. Resultatet har analyserats utifrån tidigare forskning och Goffmans teori om totala institutioner samt teorier kring maktperspektiv. I studien fann vi samband mellan Goffmans teori och ungdomarnas texter. Resultatet visar på hur Goffmans teori om totala institutioner är relativt omfattande inom tvångsvården och synnerhet inom statens institutioner. / The objective of our essay was to highlight the personal accounts of young people receiving care provided by the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care. In order to give an in-depth, descriptive impression, we used a qualitative method of research and analysed our material on the basis of a thematic analysis of accounts in the book Kärlek + Lycka + Svek= Tårar(Love + Happiness + Deceit = Tears), published in 2017 by the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care where young people in their texts share their experience of a life on correction facilities. This thematic analysis culminated in three main themes: “Not playing a part in your own life”, “A controlled life” and “I’m not good enough”. The result has been analysed on the basis of previous research and Goffman’s theories on total institutions, as well as perspective of power. In the study, we established a link between Goffman’s theories and the young people’s accounts. The findings demonstrate that Goffman’s theories on total institutions are relatively widespread in compulsory care, in particular within state-run institutions.

Föräldrars upplevelser av vården när deras barn vårdas på en pediatrisk avdelning / Parents' experiences of care when their children are cared for in a pediatric department

Inledning: Att vara på sjukhus med sitt akut sjuka barn är för många föräldrar en traumatisk upplevelse. Betydelsen av ett professionellt bemötande är av stor vikt för hur upplevelsen av vårdtiden blir. Syftet var att beskriva föräldrars upplevelser av vården när deras barn vårdades på en pediatrisk avdelning.Metod: För att besvara syftet och få en djupare förståelse för föräldrars upplevelse valdes en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt inkluderades åtta föräldrar i studien. Intervjuerna transkriberades och analyserades enligt tematisk analysmetod. Fynd: Analysen resulterade i tre teman: 1. Omvårdnadens olika uttryck: Genom att bli bemött med respekt och bli sedd som förälder upplevdes en trygghet i vården av barnet. 2: Föräldrars utsatthet: Att vara förälder till ett sjukt barn innebär en sårbarhet, och Sjukhusmiljö: Samtliga föräldrar uttryckte en tacksamhet över sjukvårdens olika resurser. Konklusion: Kompetent personal och ett gott bemötande är enligt föräldrar viktiga faktorer för att uppleva trygghet i vården. Det är av stor vikt att personal besitter god kompetens och vidareutbildas för att erhålla och bibehålla denna. En anpassning av sjukhusmiljö för barn och familjer, t.ex. i form av lekterapi, är av stor betydelse. / Introduction: To stay in the hospital with a critically ill child is for many parents a traumatic experience. The professionals´ approach has a great impact on how the actual treatment time is experienced. Purpose: The purpose was to describe parents' experience of care when their children were being cared for in a paediatric ward. Method: A qualitative approach with semi- structured interviews was chosen to answer the purpose, and get a deeper understanding of parents' experience. A total of eight parents were included in the study. The interviews were transcribed and analysed with thematic analysis. Findings: The analysis resulted in three themes: 1. Different expressions of nursing care: Parents wanted to be treated with respect, and be seen as a parent which in return made them feel confident in the care of the child. 2. Parental exposure: Being the parent of a sick child means vulnerability and 3 Hospital environment: All the parents in this study expressed a gratitude for the healthcare resources. Conclusion: Skilled personnel and a good attitude are key factors when experiencing confidence in health care. It is vital that staff possess good skills and further training to obtain and maintain this. It is also important with an adaptation of the hospital environment for children and families, such as in the form of play therapy.

I denna studie har tio semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med yrkesverksamma dagbarnvårdare som arbetar i en kommun i Sverige. Syftet med studien är att utforska dagbarnvårdares förhållningssätt och inställning till sin anmälningsskyldighet och om det finns faktorer som påverkar deras beslut att göra en orosanmälan. Med hjälp av en tematisk analys på intervjumaterialet framkom fyra huvudteman: Var går gränsen, Organisationens stöd, Privat och professionell och Svart på vitt. Var går gränsen handlar om att det finns en svårighet i att veta när det är dags att göra en orosanmälan till socialtjänsten och hur man upptäcker att ett barn far illa. Organisationens stöd innefattas av chefens och kollegornas stöd i anmälningsprocessen. Privat och professionell handlar om det upplevda dilemmat av att vara privat och professionell på samma gång. Svart på vitt belyser behovet av att mer kunskap och utbildning kring anmälningsplikt såväl som kring tecken på att barn bar illa. Resultatet kopplas till tidigare forskning samt handlingsteori och handlingsutrymme. / In this study ten qualitative interviews were conducted with professional home daycare providers in a Swedish municipality. The aim of the study is to explore home daycare providers approach and attitudes towards their mandatory reporting and to find out if there are any factors that affects their decision of reporting to the child protective service. With a thematic analysis four main themes were found; Where is the limit, The support from the organization, Private and professional and Black on white. Where is the limit implies that there is a difficulty of making a decision when to report child maltreatment to the child protective service and how to discover child maltreatment. The support of the organization includes support from the manager and colleagues in the process of reporting. Privat and professional includes the experienced dilemma of being private and professional at the same time. Black on white intend to discuss the need of getting more knowledge and education regarding mandatory reporting as well as signs of maltreatment. The result has been analyzed with previous research and the theory of action and discretion.

What affects the choice of a JavaScript framework : Interviews with developers / Vad påverkar valet av ett JavaScript ramverk : Intervjuer med utvecklare

In recent years frameworks for JavaScript has become a large part of web development. There has been a lot of discussion between developers which framework to use when developing a project since there is a large pool of frameworks to choose from. This paper aims to find out what factors affects the choice of framework according to web developers in the business. The earlier studies found on the topic of JavaScript frameworks focuses on the technical aspects while this study will focus on researching the pragmatic internal and external factors that affects the choice of framework. This will contribute with a different view to the field in contrast to the existing technical studies. To find answers to the research question qualitative interviews with web developers at different companies were conducted. 5 companies agreed to participate, and a total of 8 web developers were interviewed. The interviews were recorded and later transcribed. The results were analyzed through a thematic analysis. By analyzing the results several different factors were found, and by finding connections in between them they were then categorized into different themes. The themes found was demand, usability, community and reputation. Through the discussion of the findings it was found that the factors influencing the choice of framework can vary depending on if it is a personal project or a larger project at a company. For personal projects user gratification was major factor, while in companies the ability to collaborate was one of the main factors. To answer the purpose of the study the choice of framework depends on who is using it, what kind of requirements a project has, the resources of a company, and the locations demands. Therefore, different frameworks can be suitable for different situations.

Motivation behind young women's excessive exercise : A qualitative study from a Self-determination perspective

Exercise is an important part of well-being. However, when performed excessively, it can lead to negative consequences such as anxiety, depression and feelings of guilt. This study aimed to qualitatively investigate what motivational regulations, defined by the Self-determination theory, that may provide an insight into why young women engage in excessive exercise. Data from seven participants was analyzed through a thematic analysis and resulted in four themes: Exercise affected by social influence, Ambivalence toward the amount of exercise, Benefits of exercise and Exercise affecting the sense of self. All of the motivational regulations belonged to the extrinsic type of motivation, ranging from external to integrated regulation, with social influence and health benefits being the most frequently mentioned reasons for exercise. Also, the informants were able to explain why they exercise, but less so in regard to the amount of exercise. / Träning är en förutsättning för välbefinnande. När träning utförs i en överdriven mängd kan det dock leda till negativa konsekvenser som ångest, depression och skuldkänslor. Syftet med denna studie var att kvalitativt undersöka vilka motivationsregleringar definierade av Självbestämmande teori som kan ge en inblick i varför unga kvinnor tränar i en överdriven omfattning. Materialet från sju deltagare analyserades genom en tematisk analys och resulterade i fyra teman: Social påverkan på träning, Ambivalens till träningsmängden, Fördelar med träning och Träning påverkar uppfattningen om sig själv. Alla motivationsregleringar tillhörde den yttre typen av motivation och sträckte sig från extern till integrerad reglering, där social påverkan och hälsofördelar var de mest frekvent nämnda anledningarna till träning. Informanterna kunde ge en förklaring till varför de tränar, men inte avseende deras träningsmängd.

Gli esseri umani vengono definiti come membri di un gruppo quando assumono i significati che il gruppo stesso crea ed utilizza per concepire sè stesso, i suoi membri e l'universo in generale. Abbiamo studiato i significati che definiscono un essere umano nella versione dell'"autolesionista utente di un gruppo online". In primo luogo, tramite un'analisi tematica di post condivisi nel forum del gruppo siamo venuti a conoscenza delle teorie sul comportamento, la sofferenza ad esso associata ed altre tematiche che definiscono "l'autolesionista". I risultati ottenuti hanno dimostrato che i significati che descrivevano il dolore associato all'autolesionismo erano più rilevanti rispetto a quelli legati all'atto. In seguito tramite IPA di interviste individuali abbiamo compreso che la qualità dello spazio del forum e della relazione tra le dimensioni online e offline determinavano influenze reciproche tra la partecipazione al forum, gli effetti sul sè e sul comportamento e il tipo di utilizzo del forum. Infine abbiamo condotto quattro incontri online con un gruppo di utenti del forum e lavorando sui significati, abbiamo stimolato la loro capacità di diventare consapevoli del loro stato mentale in relazione al comportamento autolesionista. / Human beings are defined as members of a group when they assume the meanings that such group creates and uses to conceive itself, its members and the world in general. We studied meanings that shape a human being in the version of a “self-injurer member of an online group”. Firstly, through a thematic analysis of posts shared in the forum of the group we became acquainted with theories about the behavior, its associated sufferance and other issues that define “a self-injurer”. We found that the most important meanings related to the sufferance rather than to the practice of self-injurious gestures. Secondly, through IPA of individual interviews we understood that the quality of the space of the forum and the relationship between online and offline dimensions determined influences between the self-injurer's identity and her experience in the forum in terms of participation, effects on self and behavior, and type of use of the forum. Finally, we conducted four online meetings with a group of users of the forum and always focusing on meanings, we stimulated their capacity to be aware about their mental states in relation to self-injury.
