Specifika práce v chráněných dílnách a možnosti jejich provozu v ČR a USA / Specificity of work in sheltered workshops and possibilities of their services in the Czech republic and USA.

JINDROVÁ, Zdeňka January 2007 (has links)
Taking care of people with disabilities is dated back to history. Nowadays there are many ways how to take care, socialize and integrate people with special needs. For people with some handicap there are number of fences at the same time, which are impossible to break through without help of the other people. We can also find out that people with disabilities are exposed to some kinds of discrimination. The most severe fence for those people is that they have got nearly closed access to the labour market. People with disabilities belong in disadvantaged groups at the labour market and they are suffering from long-term unemployment. Sheltered workshops are one way how to integrate those people. People with health problems and with changed working ability work there. Working in the sheltered workshops isn{\crq}t only earning money. It is also a place where especially the disabled people can become members of society and can gain new experience. I tried to find out similarities and differences in running of chosen sheltered workshops. Based on my stay in Massachusetts, USA I chose to concentrate on describing non-government, non-profit organization called Road to Responsibility, Inc. In the Czech Republic I chose for the same purpose Domov sv. Anežky, o.p.s. in Týn nad Vltavou. In theoretical part of thesis, I concentrate on the problems of disability. I am describing history of care of people with disabilities, the types of disability, socialization and last, but not least jobs opportunities and self{--}fulfillment of peoplewith disabilities. The practical section of thesis is divided into two parts. In part one I am describing running of the chosen companies and their sheltered workshops and in part two I am graphically displaying found information. I chose to do research two different ways. The first one was secondary data analysis and content analysis. I also collected information from interviews, in which I talked to employees and managers of the workshops. Before I started collecting data I chose what information I want to find out, what documents I want to study so I will get the result I wanted {--} to find out the similarities and differences of the chosen workshops in USA and in Czech Republic. The information were e.g. rights and obligations of the clients, the founders of those companies, what do they offer, personal security, qualifications of employees, rates of pay for people with disabilities and last but not least what types of workshops each organization runs. Based on the information I collected, I realized, that certain differences between Road to Responsibility and Domov sv. Anežky exists. The main difference is different rates of pay for people with disability for their work. Another difference is how the rights of clients are exercise. I can declare that both my hypothesis were correct. I am convinced, that my work points out the similarities and differences, which exist in sheltered workshops in the Czech Republic and USA. But of course it is not the whole view of how the community works.

Životní a pracovní podmínky u osob s Downovým syndromem / Living and working conditions at persons with Down´s syndrome

MUSÁLKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2007 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the issues of adults with Down syndrome. Theoretical and practical part consists of basic facts about the syndrome, the field of education, living and working conditions. Secondary data analysis refers to both social and law perspective. The aim of the thesis was to monitor the living and working conditions of people with Down syndrome in the area of České Budějovice and Ostrava. In order to accomplish the objective the qualitative research was chosen considering the research sample. As a basis of the research the form of a semi-standard interview was chosen and as a supplementary was used a casuistic method and secondary data analysis oriented mainly on the area of employment. The results of the research imply that people with Down syndrome can work mainly at sheltered workshops because the organizations focused on employing people with handicap do not employ predominantly people with mental disability. People with Down syndrome work in the sheltered workshops according to the labour law. The master thesis can be used as a resource of information for organizations, which are engaged in employment of people with handicap and also with mental disability thus with Down syndrome.

Praktické zkušenosti zaměstnavatelů se zaměstnáváním osob s lehkým mentálním postižením v okresu České Budějovice a bariéry, které brání jejich zapojení do pracovního procesu / Employers practical experience with caring of low handicapped persons in České Budějovice country and barriers keep off their integration to procedure

BÁTINOVÁ, Lenka January 2009 (has links)
Mentally retarded children, teenagers and adults form a specific, one of the most numerous, group among handicapped people. Mental retardation is a mental impairment characterised by subaverage intelectual functioning, different development of psychic qualities and limitations in adaptive behaviour. It is usually caused by an organic brain damage. The retardation is not a disease, it´s a long-life handicap. The findings of the research has shown that persons with a mild mental retardation hardly ever find a job in the open labour market or in the sheltered workshops. However, the employers are not also concerned in providing these people with a job.

Souza, Vera Lúcia Inácio de January 2012 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the intersectionality of intensive processes involving work activity, research activity and a self reflexive ethical activity, by looking forward to trace the tenuous line between act and thought of the performed activity. In this way, this research highlights the expressivities that emerge in a co-implied interaction co-implied in the most untraceable gestures and words which compose the set of tasks that perform and des-held the activity itself. The real activity is able to incite thinking and acting processes, through the intensities conferred by a territory. Having this in mind, this research deals with a specific group of workers. They are workers of a Creative Workshop situated in the Psychiatric Hospital São Pedro. It is also important to stress the intertwined relations that involves this specific group of workers, the final user of mental care, the researcher and the agency that produces the research scene itself. In this study, the activity is understood through the framework proposed by Ergology and Clinic of Activity, this in order to compose and trace the expressivities that are inherent regarding pluralistic modes of work. Taking this aim into consideration, I highlight as well the important role played by the concept of territorialization - from Philosophy of Difference -, which enable us to see how a time is engendered in repetition, which can be amplified concerning its potential of differing. As methodological procedures, I propose a clinic-institutional device for the analysis of activity. This method implies on the research writing process itself, the field work conducted through observation of work situations and a focused group analysis of this workers. This research aims to track the deterritorialization movements performed by this group of workers, envisioning a common plan of activity analysis, through which some of the problematics become visible, including an indiscernibility of image, madness, statements and gestures which can be expanded or contracted regarding the different ways of working. In addition, I would like to put in evidence (multi) professional territorializations and its esthetics - between care, expression and clinic- regarding the encounter with mental care users, architectural aspects and the movements of the psychiatric reform in Brazil. Moreover, I also stress the relevance of the collective analysis of activity, since it emerged as an important subtle tool concerning the actions and elaborations produced within the group. Taking all these elements into consideration, this study aims to proliferate the clinical potential expressed by a collective memory of work, by highlighting the points of difference considering the daily life produced by this territory.

Oficina de trabalho corporal em um serviço de saúde mental / Office of bodywork in a mental health service

Carolina Cristina do Nascimento 29 August 2011 (has links)
With the reform of psychiatry in many new services substitutive mental health care as well as proposals for new treatment strategies in psychosocial rehabilitation to people in distress. Are possibilities of assistance that typify the mental health services, such as therapeutic workshops, among other designations. The workshops meet the mental health group activities for socialization and expression, emphasizing the uniqueness of the subject and subjectivity in psychological distress in space crafts, recreational and socio-economic factors. This paper describes the experience of the therapeutic effects of a workshop body, the Group FISIO, with users in psychological distress that attended the mental health service Center for Therapeutic Workshops and Labour (Núcleo de Oficinas Terapêuticas e do Trabalho - NOTT), in the years 2006 to 2008, a period where the service was operating in the municipality of Porto Ferreira, São Paulo. We sought to describe and report the experience of twelve users who participated in the Group as a treatment strategy for FISIO on the process of psychosocial rehabilitation. This workshop body favored the spontaneous demand for participation, applying techniques of stretching, relaxation exercises and playful to obtain body perception. The aim was to investigate the experience of this workshop, and describe their contributions to the psychosocial rehabilitation process. To this end, there was a case study, with the qualitative research. The methodological tools that were used to investigate and describe the contributions of FISIO were the notes in a field diary, in the medical records and records of service NOTT and semi-structured interview that asked about the bodily effects perceived before and after participating in the Group. To this end, the analysis of data collected were processed with the thematic analysis, the construction of categories that signaled the most significant speeches of the participants. The results discussed show contributions of the workshop the users body in psychological distress in the process of psychosocial rehabilitation, through the recognition of the body, improved self-esteem, autonomy and manual skills, recognized in implementing other workshops that made up the service, and showed subjective improvement in daily activities. The data from this study showed that the fact that the service is disabled changed to evaluate the possibility of a more plausible outcome in terms of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery of citizenship. The discontinuity of a specific device for these people broke the assistance and the prospect of progress that the body workshop.

This thesis deals about the education of contemporary art in preschool, looking for new alternatives of preschool’s formation, connecting the aesthetics and ludic experiences, able to cause the ampliation of children’s interest for the art. The general objective is notice how the contemporary art can affect the children, and as specific purpose notice how the activities cause the aesthetics experiences; research how the contemporary art is useful for the formation of child’s senses, and how such experience can participate in the formation of the child. So this research have two steps: the first one is theoretical, where are addressed the concept of ludic, Johan Huizinga (1990) and Paulo de Tarso Cheida Sans (1994); and of experience, Walter Benjamin (1994; 2002), Jorge Larrosa (2006); related to the education of contemporary art Katia Canton (2009), Anne Cauquelin (2005); as well as presents briefly the importance of Preschool of Art in Brazil, for the change of children’s art education, Herbert Read (1973; 1986) and Augusto Rodrigues (1980). The second step of this research occurred by experience. In order to reach the objectives mentioned, were applied eight (8) workshops of Visual Art, in march and april of 2013, in a preschool class, in a public school of Pelotas. The workshop were related to many expression of Visual Contemporary Art and were focused in the production of Brazilian Artists, such as Lygia Clark, Frans Krajcberg, Lia Menna Barreto, Regina Silveira, Lygia Pape, Hélio Oiticica and Arthur Bispo do Rosário. For the workshop production and deployment stands out the use of a paradidatic book collection of contemporary art, made for childrens - “Arte à Primeira Vista” - by Valquíria Prates and Renata Sant’Anna (2009), which was used as a mediation between the work of the submitted artists and the children; whose design and the print of the books allowed the children to have the senses stimulated, by the touch and the eyesight, through textures, images, colors and text related to the materials used and the poetics in the works of the artists.

A career guidance programme : training workshops for community workers in disadvantaged communities

Todes, Karyn 12 September 2012 (has links)
D.Litt. et Phil. / A career guidance training workshop based on a taxi ride metaphor was developed to train teachers to offer an indigenous career guidance programme to students in disadvantaged communities. The innovation comprised a trainee's handbook as an adjunct to the workshop, structured workbooks for students in the classroom, and trainers' manuals for independent trainers. Principles of developmental research ensured that each phase was completed sequentially and successfully with the necessary material prerequisites and methodologies; this guided the process of workshop design and development through the problem analysis, design, developmental, and evaluation phases. Theories of career development and planning, and integrative life planning influenced the psychology behind the taxi ride model, whose objective was to help students gain a sense of mastery over the process of career decision-making and problem solving, thereby learning a life skill. The workbook was pilot-tested on two occasions, and four training workshops were pilot-tested with modifications made after each one. Group work principles ensured the workshops were experiential and educative. Workshop evaluation questionnaires further improved the innovation. Knowledge, Attitude and Self-efficacy scales, formulated in semantic differential form, were developed and refined to measure the success of the workshops by pre- and post-testing. Three more workshops were run with no revisions. Two hypotheses were formulated to measure the impact of the study; results revealed statistically significant changes in the knowledge and attitude scales, and positive changes in self-confidence levels in offering career guidance. There were no significant pre- and post-test differences between the groups for the biographical factors, except educational qualifications which did influence the findings. In addition, an observation schedule revealed that trainees had acquired great skill in applying the workbook. Limitations of the study included the absence of a control group, and an impact evaluation of the interactive dialogue between teacher and student. Future research in turn could focus on the impact the workbook has on the student. The contribution to psychology is that the indigenous South African practice model incorporates a rational and emotional process of career decision making, which can be applied by trained teachers and community leaders, rather than solely by professionals.

PROGRAMA LEM:TOCAR E CANTAR : UM ESTUDO ACERCA DE SUA INSERÇÃO NO PROCESSO MÚSICO-FORMATIVO DE UNIDOCENTES DA PEDAGOGIA/UFSM / "PROGRAM LEM: PLAYING AND SINGING": A STUDY ABOUT ITS INSERT IN THE PROCESS OF UNIDOCENTS MUSIC-FORMATION IN PEDAGOGY/UFSM

Correa, Aruna Noal 26 March 2008 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This dissertation is linked to the research line Education the Arts from the PPGE/UFSM and the group of studies and research in Training, Action and Research in Musical Education - FAPEM. Aimed to investigate the "Program LEM: Playing and Singing", in the form of music workshops, seeking to emphasize its contributions in the formation of musical training and teaching-musical by students and former students of Pedagogy/UFSM, which are called up workshopers . Specifically, it is sought to know their ideas about the workshops for the musical and pedagogicmusical development of unidocent teachers, identify the contributions of workshops for the musical and pedagogic-musical development of unidocent teachers, and also map the musical and teaching-music training some needs raised to unidocency. As a methodological approach, the qualitative research was chosen mainly on the basis of the analysis of contexts and realities experienced by eight workshopers subjects of the research. A semi-structured interview was the main tool for collecting data, being divided into two stages: the first, a semi-structured individual interview (EI) and the second, with the completion of an interview in a group (EG). The theoretical reference was built from two subjects: the training of teachers, and the relationship between music education and unidocency, and workshops on music, which presents a brief history of its existence in the country as well as the formation of the "Program LEM: Playing and Singing" at UFSM.
