Krieger, Débora Mascella January 2016 (has links)
Background: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most often neurodegenerative disease and proportionally growing with people aging. PD is a disease with motor and nonmotor clinical features. Levodopa and dopaminergic agonists (DA) are used for PD treatment, allowing an exquisite control of the motor symptoms during the first years. However, in five years, half patients will present motor or non-motor complications induced by cronic use of these medications. Neuropsychiatric symptoms are often, for example, depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, psychotic symptoms and impulse control disorders (ICD). The ICD is characterized by failure on resisting an impulse or on performing an specific act. Identification of the PD affected patients is crucial for proper management and study of this condition. There is an already validated self-reported questionnaire for this purpose, the Parkinson's Disease Impulsive-Compulsive Disorders Questionnaire (QUIP), without equivalent in portuguese language. Objective: To translate and to validate the Portuguese short version of the gold-standard questionnaire for identifying ICDs PD affected patients, applicable at the current moment of PD Methods: QUIP-CS was first translated to Portuguese by a professional translator. This translated version was shown to 5 PD neurologist specialists. in Brazil, being suggested minor modifications on it. This new Portuguese revised version was back translated to English by two independent native English speakers. They were both asked to compare the version one another and checked for differences. Then, they contacted each other and got a final back translated version. This one was sent for the original author, that approved its new version comparing to his original and validated one, with no loss of it’s original properties. The Portuguese corrected version was applied to 65 patients in a random way at PD’s ambulatory at HCPA. From these, 30 were asked to answer a number that would represent their level of QUIP-CS questions’ comprehension. Results: In a 1 to 5 point scale, being 1 no comprehension and 5, total comprehension, the average was 4,06 +/- 0,69 DP. Conclusion: Our results on Portuguese version of QUIP-CS show that QUIP-CS translated and corrected version was easily understood and easily self-applied. The article is under revision to be submitted for publication.

Radhi, Yasser January 2016 (has links)

Sentiment analysis of Swedish reviews and transfer learning using Convolutional Neural Networks

Sundström, Johan January 2018 (has links)
Sentiment analysis is a field within machine learning that focus on determine the contextual polarity of subjective information. It is a technique that can be used to analyze the "voice of the customer" and has been applied with success for the English language for opinionated information such as customer reviews, political opinions and social media data. A major problem regarding machine learning models is that they are domain dependent and will therefore not perform well for other domains. Transfer learning or domain adaption is a research field that study a model's ability of transferring knowledge across domains. In the extreme case a model will train on data from one domain, the source domain, and try to make accurate predictions on data from another domain, the target domain. The deep machine learning model Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has in recent years gained much attention due to its performance in computer vision both for in-domain classification and transfer learning. It has also performed well for natural language processing problems but has not been investigated to the same extent for transfer learning within this area. The purpose of this thesis has been to investigate how well suited the CNN is for cross-domain sentiment analysis of Swedish reviews. The research has been conducted by investigating how the model perform when trained with data from different domains with varying amount of source and target data. Additionally, the impact on the model’s transferability when using different text representation has also been studied. This study has shown that a CNN without pre-trained word embedding is not that well suited for transfer learning since it performs worse than a traditional logistic regression model. Substituting 20% of source training data with target data can in many of the test cases boost the performance with 7-8% both for the logistic regression and the CNN model. Using pre-trained word embedding produced by a word2vec model increases the CNN's transferability as well as the in-domain performance and outperform the logistic regression model and the CNN model without pre-trained word embedding in the majority of test cases.

Factory2Fit - Empowerment und partizipative Anpassung der Fabrikautomation an die Bedürfnisse der Arbeitnehmer / Factory2Fit - Empowering and participatory adaptation of factory automation to fit for workers

Bojko, Michael, Riedel, Ralph, Chen, Xiaoli, Müller, Egon 21 November 2017 (has links) (PDF)

Sektoriell integrering av klimatanpassning : En studie kring vård- och omsorgskontoret och utbildningskontorets arbete i Norrköpings kommun / Sectorial integration of climate adaptation : A study of the health- and care office and the education office in Norrköping municipality

Valger, Charlotte January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to increase the understanding of the work with climate adaptation and how the issue can be integrated in municipal sectors that do not have climate adaptation as their main task. By increasing the knowledge of the practical work in education- as well as care and nursing sectors, the study add insights into factors that influences the effectiveness of the integration of climate adaptation. The work is based on 10 semi-structured interviews with key staff within education as well as care and nursing sectors in Norrköping municipality. The interviews provided a broad overview of experiences and insights by the staff through their daily work. The material was analyzed and discussed in relation to what previous research had concluded. The results show that the work with climate adaptation within the municipality has come a long way, but that there is no clear strategy for how the municipal guidelines for climate adaptation should be integrated into the organization. Found factors for an effective implementation are clearly set goals, coordination, political commitment, increased and targeted financial resources and knowledge exchange.

I gott bevar : Musikalen Kristina från Duvemåla och Vilhelm Mobergs utvandrarepos - en adaptionsanalys / "I gott bevar" : The musical Kristina från Duvemåla and Vilhelm Moberg's emigrant epic - an adaptational analysis

Hansson, Erika January 2019 (has links)

Galle, Alexander 18 July 2007 (has links)

Run-time Variability with Roles

Taing, Nguonly 04 April 2018 (has links)
Adaptability is an intrinsic property of software systems that require adaptation to cope with dynamically changing environments. Achieving adaptability is challenging. Variability is a key solution as it enables a software system to change its behavior which corresponds to a specific need. The abstraction of variability is to manage variants, which are dynamic parts to be composed to the base system. Run-time variability realizes these variant compositions dynamically at run time to enable adaptation. Adaptation, relying on variants specified at build time, is called anticipated adaptation, which allows the system behavior to change with respect to a set of predefined execution environments. This implies the inability to solve practical problems in which the execution environment is not completely fixed and often unknown until run time. Enabling unanticipated adaptation, which allows variants to be dynamically added at run time, alleviates this inability, but it holds several implications yielding system instability such as inconsistency and run-time failures. Adaptation should be performed only when a system reaches a consistent state to avoid inconsistency. Inconsistency is an effect of adaptation happening when the system changes the state and behavior while a series of methods is still invoking. A software bug is another source of system instability. It often appears in a variant composition and is brought to the system during adaptation. The problem is even more critical for unanticipated adaptation as the system has no prior knowledge of the new variants. This dissertation aims to achieve anticipated and unanticipated adaptation. In achieving adaptation, the issues of inconsistency and software failures, which may happen as a consequence of run-time adaptation, are evidently addressed as well. Roles encapsulate dynamic behavior used to adapt players representing the base system, which is the rationale to select roles as the software system's variants. Based on the role concept, this dissertation presents three mechanisms to comprehensively address adaptation. First, a dynamic instance binding mechanism is proposed to loosely bind players and roles. Dynamic binding of roles enables anticipated and unanticipated adaptation. Second, an object-level tranquility mechanism is proposed to avoid inconsistency by allowing a player object to adapt only when its consistent state is reached. Last, a rollback recovery mechanism is proposed as a proactive mechanism to embrace and handle failures resulting from a defective composition of variants. A checkpoint of a system configuration is created before adaptation. If a specialized bug sensor detects a failure, the system rolls back to the most recent checkpoint. These mechanisms are integrated into a role-based runtime, called LyRT. LyRT was validated with three case studies to demonstrate the practical feasibility. This validation showed that LyRT is more advanced than the existing variability approaches with respect to adaptation due to its consistency control and failure handling. Besides, several benchmarks were set up to quantify the overhead of LyRT concerning the execution time of adaptation. The results revealed that the overhead introduced to achieve anticipated and unanticipated adaptation to be small enough for practical use in adaptive software systems. Thus, LyRT is suitable for adaptive software systems that frequently require the adaptation of large sets of objects.
