The aim of this thesis is to prepare a basic overview of the issue of prevention risks of occupational accidents at construction sites. Prevention is the only effective tool to prevent risks of occupational accidents and occupational diseases (health hazards). The thesis describes the procedures and methods to search, evaluation and risk prevention in the workplace and basic description of the standard ČSN OHSAS 18001. At the same time, there are also compared the results of statistical analysis of occupational accidents for the years 2006 to 2010 in the Czech Republic and selected construction company.

[pt] A dissertação analisa as vivências de prazer e sofrimento no trabalho, bem como as eventuais estratégias defensivas, de um grupo de empregados que foram dispensados de funções gerenciais e permaneceram no emprego, numa empresa do setor de energia. Os dados obtidos nas vinte e sete entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas, realizadas com esta finalidade, foram analisados pelo método de análise de conteúdo e apontaram que a dispensa da função gerencial potencializou as vivências de sofrimento nestes trabalhadores. A maioria dos relatos de sofrimento se relaciona à perda das experiências de trabalho consideradas prazerosas, vivenciadas durante o exercício da função gerencial. Analogamente, a maioria dos relatos de prazer está associado ao término das experiências de sofrimento atreladas à ocupação de função gerencial. Além disto, a análise dos relatos permitiu que fossem identificadas estratégias defensivas, mobilizadas pelos entrevistados, que foram organizadas em nove categorias, nomeadas pela pesquisadora como: naturalização do ocorrido, desqualificação do processo que levou à dispensa da função gerencial, desqualificação dos gerentes atuais, autoconsolo: podia ser pior, expectativa pela aposentadoria, hesitação diante de novas oportunidades, expectativa por mudança de setor, esquecimento do ocorrido, e minimização da mudança ocorrida. Os resultados alcançados levam a uma reflexão sobre o conceito de carreira associado à cultura da empresa e sobre a importância do exercício da função gerencial neste contexto. / [en] The study analyzes the experiences of pleasure and suffering in the work, as well as the eventual defensive strategies, of a group of employees who were dismissed from managerial positions and remained working at an energy company. Data collected in the twenty-seven individual semi-structured interviews carried out for this purpose were analyzed through the content analysis method and pointed out that the dismissal of the managerial position increased the experiences of suffering in these workers. Most reports of suffering are related to the loss of pleasure experienced as a manager. Similarly, most reports of pleasure are associated with the end of the suffering experienced as a manager. In addition, the analysis of the reports allowed the identification of defensive strategies classified into nine categories, named by the researcher as: naturalization of the event, disqualification of the process that led to dismissal of managerial position, disqualification of current managers, self-consolation: it could be worse, expectation for retirement, hesitation about new opportunities, expectation for changing the sector, forgetting what happened, and minimizing the change that occurred. The results obtained lead to a reflection on the concept of career associated with company culture and on the importance of the exercise of the managerial function in this context.

Žemės ūkio sektorius išlieka viena pavojingiausių ekonominės veiklos rūšių pasaulyje, o tuo pačiu ir Lietuvoje. Atlikus sociologinius tyrimus, vienoje anketinėje apklausoje dalyvavo 96 ūkininkai ir bendrovių vadovai, nustačiau, kad dirbant traktoriniams žemės ūkio junginiams, žmonės dažniausiai sužeidžiami, kai mašina eksploatuojama be apsaugų, užvedama neišjungus pavaros, žmonės vežami priekaboje ir kai technika eksploatuojama ne pagal paskirtį. Kitoje anketinėje apklausoje dalyvavo 241 žemės ūkio darbuotojai, nustatėme, kad samdomi žemės ūkio darbuotojai labiau nei ūkininkai toleruoja rizikingą veiklą žemės ūkio traktorinių junginių darbo zonose. Trečioje anketinėje apklausoje dalyvavo 138 žemės ūkio technikos operatoriai, nustatyta, kad instruktavimas nepadeda suprasti pavojus traktorių ir žemės ūkio mašinų pavojingose zonose nurodė 30,4 proc. apklaustų žemės ūkio technikos operatorių. / The agricultural sector remains one of the most dangerous types of economic activities in the world, while at the same time, and Lithuania. Following the sociological studies, one questionnaire survey involved 96 farmers participated in the company and executives, found that working in the agricultural tractor combinations, people most often injured when the machine is operated without the guards, opened the drive off, people are transported in the trailer where the technique of operation and not by purpose. En jämförelse av upplevd produktivitet samt arbetstillfredsställelse mellan aktivitetsaserade och traditionella kontor.

Purpose: The aim with this study is to compare perceived productivity and job satisfaction between activity based offices and traditional offices. The goal is to investigate, through a quantitative comparison, productivity and job satisfaction between the office types, and if generations perceive this differently. Method: The method used in this study is a quantitative method, in form of a questionnaire. The questionnaire used was taken from a study made by Sahlström and Severin (2015) at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The same questionnaire was taken because it had already been quality assured and had good content for the survey. Four IT companies were included in the study. Two of them had activity based offices and two of them had traditional office type. Literature review has also been a method in order to get a deeper understanding of the subject. Findings: The results of the study show that there are differences between the two office types in perceived productivity and job satisfaction. The traditional office type showed the best results. However, this result can be discussed since the two traditional offices differed widely in their responses. The results also show that there are differences between the generations experiencing productivity and job satisfaction of the various offices. The elder generation, Baby boomers, shows better results on the traditional office type and the younger generation, Generation Y, shows better results on the activity based offices. Implications: One conclusion to be drawn from this is that employees at traditional offices are more satisfied with their working place and experience increased productivity than employees on activity based offices. However, these results may be due to other factors than how the office environment affects the employees. Therefore, these results will not be recommended. Another conclusion is that the Baby boomers are experiencing higher productivity and job satisfaction of traditional office and Generation Y experiences higher productivity and job satisfaction on activity based office. These results can be recommended. Limitations: The limitations of this study are to examine only IT companies in Sweden with a maximal amount of employees of 150 persons. The results are, apart from the scattered results in the first issue, generally valid and can be applied to other IT companies. To succeed fully applicable results, a survey with more companies involved had been better. Then, detections of anomaly would easier have been discovered and possible disregards of certain results could have been done. Activity based offices - Office where employees have no fixed work place and there are often zones to support different types of working. / Syfte: Syftet med detta examensarbete är att jämföra upplevd produktivitet och arbetstillfredsställelse mellan aktivitetsbaserade kontor och traditionella kontor. Målet är att genom en kvantitativ jämförelse undersöka upplevd produktivitet och arbetstillfredsställelse mellan kontorstyperna, samt om generationer upplever detta olika. Metod: Metoden som har använts i detta arbete är en kvantitativ metod, i form av en enkätundersökning. Enkäten som användes är tagen från en studie av Sahlström och Severin (2015) som gjordes på Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan i Stockholm. Samma enkät användes då den redan hade kvalitetssäkrats och hade passande frågor för vår undersökning. Fyra IT-företag var med i undersökningen, varav två av dem hade aktivitetsbaserat kontor och två av dem hade traditionell kontorstyp. Litteraturstudie har även varit en metod för att få djupare förståelse inom ämnet. Resultat: Resultaten från studien visar att det finns skillnader mellan de två kontorstyperna i upplevd produktivitet och arbetstillfredsställelse. Den traditionella kontorstypen visade högst resultat. Dock kan detta resultat diskuteras då de båda traditionella kontoren skiljde sig mycket åt i svaren. Resultaten visar också att det finns skillnader mellan hur generationer upplever produktivitet och tillfredsställelse på de olika kontoren. Den äldre generationen, Baby boomers, visar högre resultat på den traditionella kontorstypen och den yngre generationen, Generation Y, visar högre resultat på de aktivitetsbaserade kontoren. Konsekvenser: En slutsats som kan dras från detta är att anställda på traditionella kontor är mer tillfredsställda med sin arbetsplats och upplever högre produktivitet än anställda på aktivitetsbaserade kontor. Däremot kan resultaten berott på andra faktorer än hur kontorsmiljön påverkar de anställda. Därför rekommenderas inte just dessa resultat. Ytterligare en slutsats är att Baby boomers upplever högre produktivitet och arbetstillfredsställelse på traditionella kontor och att Generation Y upplever högre produktivitet och arbetstillfredsställelse på aktivitetsbaserade kontor. Dessa resultat kan rekommenderas. Begränsningar: Avgränsningar som har gjorts är att endast undersöka IT-företag i Sverige med maximalt 150 anställda. Resultaten är, med undantag från de spridda resultaten i första frågeställningen, generellt giltiga och kan tillämpas på andra IT-företag. För att lyckas få helt applicerbara resultat hade en undersökning med fler företag medverkande varit bra, eftersom man då hade kunnat upptäcka avvikelser lättare och eventuellt bortse från vissa resultat. Nyckelord: Upplevd produktivitet - Självuppskattad bedömning av anställda på deras egen produktivitet. Traditionella kontor - I detta arbete innefattar traditionella kontor cellkontor och delade rum. Aktivitetsbaserade kontor - Kontor där de anställda inte har några fasta arbetsplatser och där det ofta finns zoner för att stödja olika typer av arbete.

Stress är något som finns ibland oss oavsett om vi blir påverkade eller inte, det finns både i vårt vardagliga liv och på arbetsplatser. Vissa människor påverkas mer än andra och hanterar stressen som finns runt omkring på olika sätt. Syftet med denna undersökning var att ta reda på hur nautiska befäl ombord på svenskflaggade ro-pax fartyg hanterar stress och om den upplevda stressen påverkar arbetet. Undersökningen genomfördes ombord på fartyg där intervjupersonerna tjänstgjorde. Studien utfördes med hjälp av kvalitativmetod och semi-strukturerad intervjumetod. Studiens resultat är från sju intervjuer med sjöbefäl och visade att det finns en hög stressnivå ombord som påverkar personalen och deras arbeten negativt, speciellt vid lastning och lossning. Studien visade också att sjöbefälen är beroende av det sociala stödet och tar hjälp av koffein för att hantera den upplevda stressen ombord. / Stress is something that exists among us whether we are affected or not, it is both in our everyday life and in the workplace. Some people are affected more than others and handle the stress that are available around in different ways. The purpose of this study was to find out how the nautical officers on board the Swedish flagged ro-pax ships handle stress and if the perceived stress affect the work. The survey was carried out on board ships where the respondents are served. The study was carried out with the help of qualitative method and semi-structured interview methods. The results of the study from the seven interviews with the ship's officers and showed that there is a high level of stress on board that affect staff and their work negatively, especially when loading and unloading. The study also showed that marine officer is dependent on the social support and take the help of caffeine to deal with the perceived stress on board.

Étude des relations entre le développement professionnel des enseignants du postsecondaire et leur bien-être psychologique au travail

Réalisé en milieu collégial (cégep) / Cette thèse a pour but de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension du développement professionnel (DP) des enseignants du postsecondaire et de ses liens avec le bien-être psychologique au travail (BEPT). Plusieurs études ont montré que de nombreux facteurs personnels (développement des connaissances et des compétences, attitudes, croyances des enseignants, etc.) et professionnels, tels que l’expérience professionnelle, les échanges collaboratifs, les pratiques pédagogiques et les résultats saillants des étudiants peuvent avoir une influence considérable sur le DP. Plus précisément, la présente étude permet de : (1) décrire les attitudes des enseignants qui favorisent leur DP ; (2) explorer les relations entre les vécus professionnels des enseignants et leur BEPT ; (3) identifier les indicateurs de BEPT et leurs interrelations avec le DP. Pour atteindre ces objectifs, nous avons entrepris une étude exploratoire chez les enseignants (n=218) de trois cégeps francophones de Montréal, où un questionnaire sur l’indice de bien-être psychologique au travail (IBEPT) constitué de 25 items (Dagenais Desmarais, 2010) a été soumis en ligne au moyen de Survey Monkey. Une analyse factorielle en composantes principales a révélé que leur BEPT est constitué de cinq facteurs, soit : l'épanouissement au travail, l'adéquation interpersonnelle, le sentiment de compétence, la volonté d’engagement et la reconnaissance perçue au travail. Des entretiens semi-dirigés ont été réalisés et, par la suite, nous avons procédé à une analyse qualitative transversale (n=12) et verticale (n=2) de cas. À la suite des analyses mixtes, les résultats indiquent que les attitudes des enseignants ont des répercussions sur le développement de leurs connaissances et de leurs compétences, sur leurs pratiques pédagogiques, leurs échanges collaboratifs et leurs perceptions face aux résultats saillants des étudiants. Il ressort également que le vécu professionnel a un impact sur les différents facteurs de BEPT, de sorte qu’un long vécu professionnel est associé à un fort sentiment de compétence, à une grande volonté d’engagement, mais aussi à une baisse d’épanouissement et de reconnaissance perçue au travail. Nous pouvons donc en déduire, d’une part, l’existence de corrélations directes entre le DP et le BEPT. De plus, il existe une relation entre les attitudes des enseignants envers leur enseignement et les facteurs personnels et professionnels touchant le DP, d’où l’importance de considérer les attitudes des enseignants comme un facteur primordial de DP. De même, le vécu professionnel de l’enseignant est un facteur important à considérer dans le contexte collégial, notamment pour améliorer le BEPT nécessaire au DP des enseignants. Finalement, quatre différents profils de DP selon les niveaux de DP et de BEPT ont été répertoriés (Conscients-Figés, Conscients-Mitigés, Conscients-Actifs et Perfectionnistes), et nos résultats mixtes montrent l’existence d’une corrélation entre le DP des enseignants et leur BEPT. / The goal of this study is to contribute to an improved understanding of the professional development (PD) of postsecondary teachers and its link to psychological well-being at work (PWBW). Several studies have shown that numerous personal (knowledge and skill development, attitudes, teacher beliefs, etc.) and professional (professional experience, collaborative exchanges, educational practices, and key student results) factors can have a considerable influence on PD. More specifically, this study will describe the attitudes of teachers who foster their PD, explore the relationship between teachers’ professional experiences and their PWBW, and identify PWBW indicators and their interrelation with PD. To meet these objectives, we began exploratory research with teachers (n=218) in three French-language CEGEP colleges in Montreal. A questionnaire on the Psychological Well-Being at Work Index (PWBWI) comprised of 25 questions (Dagenais-Desmarais, 2010) was submitted online via Survey Monkey. A principal components factor analysis revealed that the teachers’ PWBW was made up of five factors: fulfillment at work, interpersonal compatibility, feelings of competence, desire to get involved, and perceived recognition at work. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, after which we proceeded to qualitative cross-sectional (n=12) and vertical (n=2) case analyses. The results showed that teachers’ attitudes affect their knowledge and skill development, educational practices, collaborative exchanges, and perceptions regarding key student results. It also appears that professional experience affects various PWBW factors. For example, extensive professional experience is associated with strong feelings of competence and a desire to get involved, but also with low levels of fulfillment and perceived recognition at work. We can therefore conclude that direct correlations exist between PD and PWBW. In addition, there is a link between teachers’ attitudes towards teaching and the personal and professional factors that affect PD, hence the importance of considering teachers’ attitudes as a vital PD factor. Teachers’ professional experience is another important factor to consider in the college context, particularly for improving the PWBW necessary for teacher PD. Finally, four different PD profiles according to PD and PWBW levels have been identified (Aware-Fixed, Aware-Reserved, Aware-Active, and Perfectionist), and the results of our mixed analyses demonstrated a correlation between teachers’ PD and their PWBW.

O risco de agressões a profissionais da área de saúde mental tem sido evidenciado devido ao número crescente de ocorrências. Assim surgem algumas questões: A violência aos profissionais de saúde mental apresenta especificidade e sinais de alerta? Esse profissional está preparado para as variabilidades de suas atribuições? Como agir a um comportamento inesperado? Em busca de resposta a essas questões, este estudo objetiva entender as atividades realizadas por estes profissionais, identificando as dificuldades e variabilidades encontradas e os determinantes de risco. Como metodologia foram utilizadas observação das atividades e entrevistas e a aplicação do Modelo de Analise e Prevenção de Acidente do Trabalho (MAPA) em três casos de acidentes do trabalho selecionados em um Centro de Atenção Integrada em Saúde Mental (CAISM). Os resultados demonstraram que existem vários determinantes de agressão relacionados às características do paciente com TMC e a presença de comorbidades. A existência ou não de planos, programas e equipe direcionados à gestão da segurança e saúde no trabalho adequado às características dos pacientes atendidos e a falta de capacitação dos profissionais quanto ao agir diante de comportamento agressivo inesperado representam fatores fundamentais na ocorrência ou não deste evento indesejado. / The risk of aggression to mental health professionals has been evidenced due to the increasing number of occurrences. Thus, some questions arise: Does violence to mental health professionals show specificity and warning signs? Is this professional prepared for the variability of his / her duties? How to act on unexpected behavior? In order to answer these questions, this study aims to understand the activities performed by these professionals, identifying the difficulties and variabilities encountered and the determinants of risk. The methodology used was the observation of the activities and interviews and the application of the Work Accident Analysis and Prevention Model (MAPA) in three cases of occupational accidents selected in an Integrated Mental Health Care Center (CAISM). The results demonstrated that there are several determinants of aggression related to the characteristics of the patient with TMC and the presence of comorbidities. The existence or not of plans, programs and staff directed to the management of safety and health at work adequate to the characteristics of the patients attended and the lack of capacity of the professionals to act in the face of unexpected aggressive behavior represent fundamental factors in the occurrence or not of this undesired event .

For such purpose, it describes the bullying at work and organizational values and identifies the connection between them. The sample was made up of 234 employees of an automobile company located in Goiânia. The average of age was 32,66 years (SD= 10,13), and the majority of them were male (68.4%). The instruments of measurement were: Escala de Assédio Moral (Scale of Bullying) and Inventário de Valores Organizacionais (Organizational Values Inventory). The descriptive analysis showed that in the organization investigated, co-exist all organizational values and the values Hierarchy and Conservatism reached the highest scores (5.62 and 5.31 respectively). When it comes to noticing the perception of bullying on the demographics survey, only the gender and the intention of living the organization showed a positive score, being predominant the masculine sex to the feminine one in the perception of the bullying, with an average of 1.36 (SD = 0.39), and the intensity to leave the organization forward the intensity to not do it (average= 1,63; SD = 0,51). The results of correlation and the linear regression used to the analysis showed that the perception of bullying presented a negative link to the organizational value Egalitarianism to the employees. / Este estudo teve como objetivo a análise das relações existentes entre os valores que guiam a vida de uma organização e a percepção do assédio moral por seus trabalhadores. Para tal, descreveram-se o assédio moral no trabalho e os valores organizacionais e identificou-se a relação existente entre eles. A amostra foi composta por 234 trabalhadores de uma empresa do ramo de comércio automotivo, localizada em Goiânia. A idade média foi de 32, 66 anos (DP= 10,13), com a maioria dos sujeitos do sexo masculino (68,4%). Os instrumentos de medida foram: Escala de Assédio Moral e Inventário de Valores Organizacionais. A análise descritiva dos valores organizacionais demonstrou que, na organização pesquisada, co-existem todos os valores organizacionais, tendo os valores Hierarquia e Conservadorismo atingido as maiores médias (5,62 e 5,31 respectivamente). No que concerne à percepção do assédio moral relativo aos dados demográficos pesquisados, apenas o gênero e a intenção de sair da organização apresentaram relação positiva, sendo o sexo masculino predominante ao feminino na percepção do assédio moral, com média de 1,36 (DP= 0,39) bem como a intenção de sair da organização à não intenção de fazê-lo (média= 1,63; DP= 051). Os resultados de correlação e regressão linear aplicada à análise demonstraram que a percepção de assédio moral apresentou relação negativa ao valor organizacional Igualitarismo, pelos trabalhadores.

The work was conducted in Organização Científica Farmacêutica LTDA. CIFARMA, located in Goiânia, Goiás State, Brazil. The objective was to investigate if the Company adopts management strategies in favor of better employees life quality. A qualitative survey was defined, using a case study approach, semi-structured interviews with the General Director and Human Resources Manager, followed by questionnaires to the employees based on operational functional, such as machine operator, supporting in production, leader in production, pharmacist. These were the target of this research. The collected data shows the attitude of the manager related to Life Quality actions adopted by the Company and defined the employees profile. Needs and satisfactions were demonstrated, both related with their job activity, environmental and physical conditions in the place were the work take place. The information obtained from the institution and those one obtained from employees were compared. Company s point of view shows an administration compromised with respect to professionals, security in workplace, besides personal and professional satisfaction of employees. The employees showed satisfied with life quality benefits offered by the Company, with special attention to health promotion, through the incentive of sports practice, security and physic (ergonomics) conditions, although it was registered disappointment with the salary polices adopted by the Company. Another contraposition of this study refers to the advantages informed by employees, as priorities for life quality, such as labor gymnastics and weekend leisure, not considered by the Company as a priority. / Este estudo apresenta os principais resultados de uma pesquisa sobre Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho, na Organização Científica Farmacêutica Ltda Cifarma, em Goiânia-Goiás, com o objetivo de investigar se a empresa adota estratégias de gestão que favorece a melhoria da qualidade de vida de seus trabalhadores. Optouse por uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se de um estudo de caso, com realização de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com o diretor geral e gerente de gestão de pessoas, e aplicação de questionários aos trabalhadores da base operacional nas funções de operador de máquinas, auxiliar de produção, líder de produção, farmacêutico, público alvo dessa pesquisa. Através dos dados coletados obteve-se o posicionamento da gerência em relação às ações da QVT implantadas na organização, levantou-se o perfil dos trabalhadores, bem como se conheceu suas necessidades, grau de satisfação, em relação ao posto de trabalho ocupado e às condições ambientais e físicas em que as funções são exercidas. Foram comparadas as informações obtidas do nível institucional com os resultados do nível operacional. Do ponto de vista da empresa percebe-se uma gestão comprometida com o respeito aos profissionais, segurança no trabalho e satisfação pessoal e profissional dos trabalhadores. Os trabalhadores mostraram-se satisfeitos com os benefícios da QVT promovidos pela empresa, com atenção à saúde através de prática esportiva, segurança e condições físicas de trabalho, porém, registrou-se a insatisfação com a política salarial adotada. Outra contraposição desse estudo refere-se aos benefícios citados pelos trabalhadores como prioridades para QVT tais como: ginástica laboral e lazer nos fins de semana, não considerados pela gerência como as primeiras prioridades descritas.
