Entre o sagrado e o profano: os efeitos de sentido nos testemunhos do blog evang?lico do Bispo Edir Macedo

This is, thus, pushed to say what he saw, heard or touched. In this paper, we verified the effects of senses produced in the blog of Bishop Macedo, founder of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG), from a corpus which consists of nine testimonies of presumed believersselected among 64 statements distributed during the year, 2012. Instead of instantaneous testimonials, on a live presentation, these media narratives are underpinned by attributes such as hyperlinks, visuals, language translators, besides mechanisms of interaction and sharing in other spheres from mediatic slant. The problem of this analysis was born from the observation of regular points in the discursive architecture of these testimonials, when was identified the existing relation force between the sacred and the profane, everyday practices. During six months, analysis of the empirical material, we found some effects of the senses on the testimonials, as the dialectic structure and the need for denuding a precarious past, an engagement to shield the figure of Macedo and the UCKG towards society; a update of a crusade against other religions; and the presence of certain sensuality in self-deprecation of the deponents, and an unequal relation of forces (sacred and profane) in the construction of truth. In order of succeeding in this investigation, we used the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Analysis of French Discourse (AD), denouncing the qualitative nature of the research. As a methodological principle, we still use transdisciplinarity, which validated some of our dialogues, especially with philosophy. The conception of discourse modeled by a media support and transpassed by the subject(s) and story (ies) characterized the perspective of the research / O testemunho ? uma maneira de enuncia??o que demonstra ou admite a exist?ncia de uma realidade com a qual o enunciador entrou em contato. Esse ?, pois, levado a dizer o que viu, ouviu ou tocou. Neste trabalho, buscamos verificar os efeitos de sentido produzidos no blog do Bispo Edir Macedo, fundador da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD), a partir de um corpus que re?ne nove testemunhos de supostos fi?is, selecionados entre 64 depoimentos distribu?dos durante o ano de 2012. Diferente dos depoimentos instant?neos, de uma apresenta??o ao vivo, essas narrativas midi?ticas s?o alicer?adas por atributos como hiperlinks, elementos visuais, tradutores lingu?sticos, al?m dos mecanismos de intera??o e compartilhamento em outras esferas tamb?m de cunho midi?tico. A problem?tica desta an?lise nasceu a partir da observa??o de pontos regulares na arquitetura discursiva desses testemunhos, quando foi identificada a rela??o de for?as existentes entre o sagrado e o profano e as pr?ticas cotidianas. Durante seis meses, tempo de an?lise do material emp?rico, encontramos alguns efeitos de sentido nos testemunhos, como: a estrutura dial?tica e a necessidade de desnudamento de um passado prec?rio; um engajamento para isentar de culpa a figura de Edir Macedo e da IURD perante a sociedade; a atualiza??o de uma cruzada contra outras religi?es; a presen?a de certa sensualidade na autodeprecia??o dos depoentes; e uma rela??o desigual de for?as (sagrado e profano) na constru??o da verdade. Rompendo com no??es est?ticas predominantes do g?nero romanesco de sua ?poca, Sterne apresenta em sua obra uma narrativa fragmentada, com cap?tulos incompletos e fora de ordem, intermin?veis digress?es e um narrador cuja confiabilidade ? constantemente colocada em quest?o. Partindo da complexidade proporcionada pelas inova??es est?ticas de Sterne, investigaremos as diversas formas pelas quais o autor quebra a narrativa em seu romance. Essas quebras possuem como principal objetivo provocar nos seus leitores uma sensa??o constante de estranhamento e frustra??o, de modo que para se compreender Tristram Shandy ? necess?rio por parte do leitor deixar de lado uma leitura passiva e passar a trabalhar em conjunto com o pr?prio narrador do romance, Tristram, para, dessa forma, compreender as inten??es por tr?s da narrativa fragmentada e ca?tica de Sterne, as quais possuem o prop?sito de provocar o riso e a reflex?o, al?m de revelar uma vis?o sat?rica e cr?tica da sociedade puritana inglesa do s?culo XVIII. Para a an?lise deste trabalho, observaremos as t?cnicas est?ticas e narrativas utilizadas por Sterne que t?m por finalidade causar o estranhamento e alterar a percep??o do leitor, como a fragmenta??o do romance, as mudan?as de ritmo na narrativa e a parodiza??o. Conclu?mos que as rupturas na narrativa de Sterne possuem o objetivo de criar uma obra capaz de dar aos seus leitores uma experi?ncia ?nica de leitura, revelando por tr?s de sua narrativa fragmentada uma obra de poderosa cr?tica e s?tira social, al?m de um senso de humor extremamente cr?tico e inovador. / The goal of this study is to do a structural analysis of the work of the Irish author Laurence Sterne (1713-1768), The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman, published in 1760 and that was remarkable for representing a true aesthetic revolution in a literary genre that was already renowned on the 18th century in England: the novel. Breaking with the predominant aesthetical notions of the romanesque genre of his time, Sterne shows in his work a shattered narrative, with incomplete, out of order, chapters, endless digressions and a narrator whose trustworthiness is constantly put in question. Starting from the complexity brought by Sterne?s aesthetical innovations, we will investigate various ways by which the author breaks the narrative in his novel. Those breaks have as main goal to provoke in his readers a constant sensation of strangeness and frustration, so that in order to understand Tristram Shandy it is necessary that the reader forgoes a passive reading and starts to work alongside with the author himself, Tristram, so that they may understand the intentions behind Sterne?s shattered and chaotic narrative, which seeks to provoke laughter and reflection, plus revealing a satirical and critic view of the English puritan society of the 18th century. For the analysis of this novel, we will investigate the aesthetical techniques and narratives used by Sterne that seek to cause strangeness and alter the reader?s perception, like the fragmentation of the novel, the changes in the rhythm of the narrative and the process of parody. Furthermore, we will analyse how the laughter is performed through the carnivalization and the erotization, and finally we will discuss a little about the graphical techniques are used by the author to reclaim his authorial property in his work. As our theoretical basis, we will use the studies by Chklovsky (1978), Lotman (1978), Bakhtin (1993), Genette (1995), Reis and Lopes (2000), Arag?o (1980), among others. We conclude that the ruptures of the narrative on Sterne?s work aim to create a work able to give to its readers a unique reading experience, revealing a work of powerful criticism and social satire behind its shattered narrative, as well as an extremely critic and innovating sense of humour.

The dissertation is developed in two chapters. The first chapter, entitled "From pictorial to cinematographic", focuses on cinema and its transformations concerning the ways to represent the "real", emphasizing the French New Wave and Godard?s cinema. In the second chapter, entitled ?Cinema, painting and hybrid language in Jean-Luc Godard?, after defining the concept of hybridism and its applicability, regarding the use of color, to the aspects of symbolic, hybrid and intertextual representation in the cinema, the films Pierrot Le Fou (1965), Passion (1982) e Goodbye to Language (2014) are analyzed in light of Vanoye and Goliot-L?t? (1994), Penafria (2009) and Rose (2003). Throughout the text, the relationship between cinema and painting in Godard's work is carried out with a view to promoting a dialogue between art and communication. Two questions guided the investigation: how does the symbolic construction of Godard's pictorial way take place? Do the pictorial elements present in the filmic narrative really propose to construct meanings and transmit real sensations like those of the Impressionist movement in the paintings? In the understanding achieved by the research, it is affirmed that symbolism and poetics are inherent in cinema and painting in the film production of Jean-Luc Godard.

Utopia e Barb?rie, um filme-ensaio narrado em primeira pessoa que promove uma mistura de elementos visuais e sonoros para produzir um documento hist?rico, n?o o bastante faz isso pelo vi?s pessoal do seu realizador, que ? o condutor da hist?ria e atrav?s dela revela detalhes de sua vida pessoal fazendo uso de fotografias pessoais, filmes e pela voz over que o representa. / The film Utopia e Barb?rie (2010) tells the story of the famous generation that marked the second half of the twentieth century called the generation of 1968, by the look of its director Silvio Tendler. Nowadays, it is possible to notice the growth in the number of documentaries that have as story material the story told in the first person. Here we ask ourselves the aesthetic procedures used for this narrative and how it manifests the affectivity and the memories of its filmmakers. In the present work we carried out a case study about the film seeking to understand the subjective and intimate aspects of the director involved in the narrative. For that, we use as theoretical reference the concept of "biographical space" of Leonor Arfuch (2002), collective memory of Maurice Halbwachs (1950) and the concept of fragmented subject Stuart Hall (1996) to guide our analysis. Utopia e Barb?rie, a first person essay film promotes a mixture of visual and sound elements to produce a documentary history, not enough does it for the personal bias of its director, who is the conductor of the story and through it reveals details of his life Personal making use of personal photographs, films and the voice over that represents him.

Nesse trabalho, verificamos se os h?bitos de sono, a sonol?ncia diurna e a cogni??o de adolescentes do turno matutino variam em fun??o do uso de m?dia. Assim, 83 estudantes (60 meninas, 23 meninos) da segunda s?rie do ensino m?dio de escolas privadas de Natal/RN responderam question?rios (A sa?de e o sono, Avalia??o do Cronotipo de Horne-?stberg e Escala de Sonol?ncia de Epworth) e uma bateria de testes cognitivos (avalia??o da aten??o por uma Tarefa de Execu??o Cont?nua; mem?ria operacional, pelo Subteste de d?gitos; e Flexibilidade cognitiva pelo teste de trilhas e de Berg de classifica??o de cartas). Al?m disso, preencheram o di?rio do sono durante 10 dias (incluindo a pergunta ?o que estava fazendo antes de dormir??) e um protocolo di?rio de uso de m?dia por dois dias na semana e dois no final de semana. No geral, o uso de m?dia foi maior no fim de semana em rela??o ? semana, e o dispositivo mais utilizado foi o celular, seguido de televis?o e computador. N?o foram encontradas correla??es entre a estimativa de uso semanal de m?dia e os par?metros relacionados ao sono. Contudo, foram encontradas correla??es fracas entre a estimativa semanal de uso e: a estabilidade geral na aten??o (r=-0,23; p<0,05), os pontos (r=0,22; p<0,05) e escore total (r=0,22; p<0,05) na ordem direta do subteste de d?gitos, e os erros ?nicos (r=-0,26; p<0,01) do teste de Berg. Em rela??o ? frequ?ncia de uso de m?dia antes de dormir, a televis?o aparece como o dispositivo preferido pelo grupo que mais usa m?dia neste hor?rio (G3). De forma geral, os hor?rios de deitar e levantar diferiram entre os dias de semana e fim de semana, mas n?o houve diferen?a na irregularidade nos hor?rios de deitar e levantar em fun??o do uso de m?dia antes de dormir. Foram encontradas diferen?as nos hor?rios de levantar no fim de semana, de modo que o grupo com menor frequ?ncia de uso de m?dia antes de dormir (G1) levantou mais cedo (Anova, p<0,01 -Bonferroni, p<0,05). A maioria dos estudantes apresentou sonol?ncia diurna excessiva, com diferen?as nas propor??es entre os grupos. Por?m, os maiores percentuais foram observados sucessivamente no G1 e G3 (X2, p<0,05). Quanto ao desempenho nos testes cognitivos, o G1 apresentou menor percentual de omiss?es no alerta f?sico (Mann-Whitney, p<0,05), uma tend?ncia a um menor percentual de omiss?es em rela??o ? aten??o sustentada (Kruskal-Wallis, p=0,06), maior n?mero de pontos na vers?o indireta do subteste de d?gitos (Mann-Whitney, p<0,05) e uma tend?ncia a ser mais eficiente na vers?o A do teste de Trilhas (Mann-Whitney, p<0,05). De maneira geral, esses resultados corroboram nossas hip?teses de que o uso de m?dia influencia o sono, a sonol?ncia diurna e a performance cognitiva, principalmente quando a utiliza??o dos dispositivos eletr?nicos ocorre pr?ximo ao hor?rio de deitar. Por?m, estudos adicionais com um maior n?mero de indiv?duos s?o necess?rios para confirmar estas evid?ncias. / The phase delay with respect to schedules of bedtime and wake up time in adolescence added to the growing media use can cause exposure to light at inappropriate times, irregularity of sleep schedules and sleep deprivation, as well as influence the basic cognitive processes, which modulate the performance of the individuals, such as attention, working memory and cognitive flexibility. This context can lead to reduced cognitive performance, impairing learning. In this work, we examine if the sleep habits, daytime sleepiness and cognition in adolescent attending to school at morning shifts vary in function of the media usage. Thus, 83 (60 girls, 23 boys) second grade high school students of private schools in Natal/RN answered questionnaires (Health and Sleep, Horne and ?stberg?s Morningness-Eveningness Questionaire and Epworth Sleepiness Scale) and a battery cognitive tests (evaluation of attention by a continuous performance task, working memory, the subtest of digits, and cognitive flexibility for trail making and Berg?s card sorting test). In addition, they completed the sleep diary for 10 days and daily media use log for two weekdays and two weekend days. Overall, media usage was higher in the weekend compared to the weekdays, and the most widely used device is the mobile phone, followed by television and computer. There were no correlations between the estimated weekly use of media and the parameters related to sleep. However, weak correlations were found between the weekly estimate and use: the overall stability in attention (r = -0.23; p <0.05), points (r = 0.22; p <0.05) and total score (r = 0.22; p <0.05) in the direct order of the digit subtest, and the isolated errors (r = -0.26; p <0.01) on Berg?s test. Concerning frequency of media use before bed, television appears as the preferred device for the group that have the higher frequency media use before bed (G3). The schedules of bedtime, wake up time and time in bed, in general, differ between weekdays and weekend (ANOVA, p<0,05). Overall, the G1 individuals have sleep patterns with more advanced times when compared to adolescents from others groups. G1 differ from others groups in wake up time in the weekend (ANOVA, p<0,05) and from G3 in time in bed on week (ANOVA, p<0,05 ? Bonferroni, p=0,06). Most students had excessive daytime sleepiness, with differences in proportions between groups. However, the highest percentages were observed successively in G1 and G3 (X?, p <0.05). For performance on cognitive tests, the G1 had a lower percentage of omissions in phasic alert (Mann-Whitney test, p <0.05), a tendency to a lower percentage of omissions in relation to the sustained attention (Kruskal-Wallis, p = 0 , 06), most points in the indirect order of the digit subtest (Mann-Whitney test, p <0.05) and greater efficiency in version A of the trail making test (Mann-Whitney test, p <0.05 ). Overall, these results support our hypothesis that the media use affects sleep, daytime sleepiness and cognitive performance, especially when the use of electronic devices occurs near the bedtime schedules. However, further studies with a larger number of individuals is required to confirm this evidence.

Conclui-se que o jornalismo local passou por v?rias mudan?as no que diz respeito ?s formas de produ??o, circula??o, gest?o de conte?do, capta??o de receitas e relacionamento com o p?blico e fontes, mas tamb?m foi marcado por perman?ncias, sobretudo, no que se refere a gest?o das pessoas que atuam nas reda??es. Hor?rios foram antecipados em virtude do privil?gio ? informa??o online; plataformas e aplicativos foram introduzidos na produ??o, circula??o e gest?o de conte?do e de tarefas; fun??es foram extintas; novas formas de capta??o e diversifica??o de receita foram testadas; edi??es em papel foram encerradas e uma empresa jornal?stica fechou no per?odo analisado, evidenciando uma reconfigura??o da forma de se praticar jornalismo em Natal (RN). Essas altera??es n?o se reverteram na atualiza??o da gest?o de pessoas, ?rea respons?vel por administrar e manter as mudan?as e garantir que os profissionais estejam treinados e motivados para vivenciar esse momento marcado pela hipercompetitividade e fluidez nos processos. / We plat the changes and continuities in Journalism in Natal (RN), considering the mapping field of the news companies Tribuna do Norte, Novo and O Jornal de Hoje (in Natal, capital city of Rio Grande do Norte - Brazil) and we investigate the changes and continuities in the production routine, from the preparation of the agenda to the production and circulation of content, starting at the association of symbolic cartography (SANTOS, 1998; 2011) up to the methods and techniques such as systematic observation, questionnaires and interviews in depth. We conclude that local journalism has undergone several changes regarding the forms of production, circulation, content management, revenue captation and relationship with the audience and sources, but was also marked by continuities, especially regarding the management of people who work in editorial rooms. Deadlines were anticipated due to the privilege to online information; platforms and applications were introduced in production, circulation and content and task management; functions were extinguished; new forms of funding and revenue diversification were tested; printed editions were eliminated and a news company closed during the period analyzed, making evident a reconfiguration of the way of practicing journalism in Natal (RN). These changes did not turn into updating the people management area responsible for managing and maintaining the changes and ensure that professionals are trained and motivated to experience this moment marked by hypercompetitiveness and fluidity in the processes.

Esses filmes fizeram um grande sucesso frente ao p?blico brasileiro, mas sempre eram ridicularizados pela cr?tica que os julgava como cinema mal realizado. Nesse contexto, parte dessa produ??o cinematogr?fica pode ser classificada como par?dia. Considerando isso, este trabalho, cujo tema ? linguagem e cinema, tem como objeto de investiga??o a constru??o do discurso par?dico e a cosmovis?o carnavalesca na pornochanchada e se insere na ?rea da Lingu?stica Aplicada de perspectiva s?cio-hist?rica. Para realizamos a an?lise, detemo-nos na investiga??o dos elementos verbo-visuais presentes na forma composicional de tr?s com?dias er?ticas produzidas na d?cada de 70 como tamb?m analisamos o projeto de dizer constituidor/constituinte da forma arquitet?nica. Como fundamento te?rico-metodol?gico priorit?rio, baseamo-nos nas formula??es sobre linguagem advindas do C?rculo de Bakhtin (2006, 2010), tais como a concep??o dial?gica de linguagem e as reflex?es atinentes ? analise dial?gica do discurso. A principal refer?ncia ? a obra de Bakhtin (2010b, 2010d) sobre a cosmovis?o carnavalesca, a par?dia, a estiliza??o e o riso carnavalesco. / In Brazil, in the 197 there was an effervescence in film production. In this period, erotic comedies were made and labeled pornochanchadas. These films made a big hit facing to the Brazilian public, but were always ridiculed by critics who judged them as evil done cinema. In this context, part of that film production can be classified as parody. So, this work whose subject is language and film has the object of investigation the construction of parodic discourse and carnival worldview in pornochanchada and is inserted in the area of Applied Linguistics in a socio-historical perspective. In order to carry out the analysis, we are reflecting on the investigation of verbal-visual elements present in the compositional form of three erotic comedies produced in the 1970s, as well as analyze the project of constitutor/constituent saying from architectural form. We take as a priority theoretical and methodological foundation of the formulations about language arising from Bakhtin Circle (2006, 2010), such as the dialogical approach of language and reflections relating to the dialogical discourse analysis. The main reference is the work by Bakhtin (2010b, 2010d) on the carnival worldview, the parody, the styling and the carnival laughter.

Com esse aporte te?rico, a an?lise em espec?fico do filme foi direcionada por tr?s chaves de leitura selecionadas, sendo elas o c?u, o sert?o e a mulher. Tais chaves potencializaram as reflex?es sobre a paisagem referenciadas por pontos de adensamento simb?lico e marcadores espaciais, sendo examinadas as fun??es e peculiaridades que a paisagem assume nessa narrativa, tendo funcionalidades al?m da mera descri??o espacial, apontando fortes evid?ncias de que ela pode impulsionar a narrativa, refletir estados subjetivos dos personagens, ou at? funcionar como antagonista em certos momentos. Em ?O C?u de Suely? a paisagem constitui exemplo das novas tend?ncias no cinema nordestino, as quais trazem para o foco as transforma??es, a diversidade e atualiza??es que ocorrem nessas espacialidades, e permitem assim, a incorpora??o de elementos urbanos, globalizados, transculturais a essas constru??es espaciais. / The following research intends to propose an analysis of Northeastern landscape built in the movie ?Suely in the Sky?, directed by Karin Ainouz in 2006. Considering that a landscape is built by the human eye directing of a certain spatial region and that that look organizes and selects subjective previews and the imaginary of each viewer, it was explored a landscape representation in the movie via a film analysis penned by Jacques Aumont (in 2004), expanded by a plethora of methodological lines which adds landscapes concepts linked to several fields of humanities such as Arts, Geography, History and Literature. Firstly, the construction of the northeastern landscape was examed in its correlation to other movies from Contemporary Cinema and previous periods of National Cinema. Secondly, different aspects of the referred movie were investigated, since it was chose as the research empirical object, such as its production, screenplay, crew, budget and locations; it was also examined how the director?s style originated from those spatialities, elaborating a research through his career and biography ? that enabled a full understanding of his preliminary references. With this theoretical input, the movie?s specific analysis was driven by three selected themes: the sky, the sert?o and the woman. These themes boosted the discussions about landscape, deepened by its symbolism and spatial markers, thus, examined its functions and peculiarities which are elaborated towards landscape in this piece of work. An analysis supported beyond mere spatial description, leading to strong evidence for the narrative?s appeal, communicating the character?s personal states or even functioning as an antagonist in certain moments. In ?Suely in the Sky?, the landscape itself constitutes an example for the new tendencies of Northeastern Cinema, linked to its transformation, diversity e actualization characteristics that occurs in such spacialities, also enabling the embodiment of urban, global and transculturals elements to those spatial constructs.

This paper seeks to insert in the culture participatory context in order of better understand the fans culture phenomenon and contribute to the studies that are related to it. Therefore, I use Batman vs Superman ? Down of Justice film to demonstrate how the fans organize themselves and which are their practices in a virtual community. The used method is the netnography with the observation of online practices and the elaboration of quizzes for the community members. The theoretical basis is composed of authors like Henry Jenkins (1992; 2006; 2009; 2015), Matt Hills (2002), Clay Shirky (2011), Paul Booth (2010), Mark Duffett (2013), and others that try to understand the participation as the key factor of the fans culture.

A influ?ncia do consumo e do aumento das qualifica??es profissionais e dos rendimentos, fez com que houvesse um crescimento na composi??o das classes sociais m?dias da forma que o comportamento reprodutivo das fam?lias sofresse com tais influ?ncias. / Discussions about the so-called middle class have had wide attention in Brazil in recent years, recognizing their economic and population importance, it is observed how the new patterns of consumption adopted by this class, labor and per capita income, influence the lower number of children by Woman by several factors. The present study analyzes the relation of the number of children in the households according to their social classes and their respective patterns of consumption. For the methodological source of the discussion about the relations of social classes, the research was based on Goldthorpe's (1987) scheme of operation, in order to observe the relational effect of the number of children on their expenditures. Family Budgets (POF) of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE, referring to the 2008-2009 version. Three elements were considered central and fundamental to the database for the observation (Income, Households and Expenses), and information about social classes, number of children per household was extracted, and expenses with vehicles per household as an element of consumption. The decline in the number of children is basically explained by the great changes in the socioeconomic structure of the population. Factors such as urbanization, economic dynamism, greater access to credit and forms of consumption, and income transfer programs for the poorest population are clear for behavioral interference on child rearing by household. The influence of the consumption and the increase of the professional qualifications and of the incomes, made that there was a growth in the composition of the average social classes of the form that the reproductive behavior of the families suffered with such influences.
