What sparked interest for this research was the record in 2011 as official manifest of Fortaleza held by the Conselho Municipal de Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural (COMPHIC). The questioning arises from the strong presence of Nossa Senhora da Saúde in the construction of religious imagery in Mucuripe neighborhood, represented by her image during the celebration of São Pedro, as patron of the São Pedro dos Pescadores Churchy. We observed the imagetic regimes of the festivities, supported by Durand, realizing the extent to which the images produced in the festivities influence on the record. Thus, we intend to analyze the festive landscapes built during the festivities, highlighting the dynamics of the day and night imagetic regimes, looking at the relationship of these with public policies for the protection of intangible cultural heritage. To carry out this research, we used bibliography references in the geographic field which discuss the cultural manifestations in space and the scenery reproduced in the celebration. The reference from authors of the Psychology and Anthropology fields had a significant importance to this research, as well as the application of a hundred questionnaires in both manifestations observed, using Geography's cultural approach to evidentiate the relationship between the festive scenery reproduced with the process of non registration of the intangible cultural heritage of the city. We can realize the relationship between the festive landscapes and the public politics about cultural heritage. / Este trabalho consiste na investigação de duas manifestações culturais que ocorrem no bairro Mucuripe, na cidade de Fortaleza: a festa de São Pedro e os festejos de Nossa Senhora da Saúde. O que despertou o interesse para esta pesquisa foi o registro da primeira manifestação, no ano de 2011, como bem imaterial de Fortaleza, realizado pelo Conselho Municipal de Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural (COMPHIC). O questionamento surge da forte presença da Santa da Saúde na construção do imaginário religioso no bairro Mucuripe, sendo representada pela sua imagem durante a Festa de São Pedro, enquanto anteriormente padroeira da igrejinha homônima do santo. Para realizar esta investigação utilizamos o subsídio literário de geógrafos que discutem as manifestações culturais no espaço e as paisagens reproduzidas no festejo. Fez-se necessário o apoio de autores da psicologia e antropologia, principalmente. Além disso, foram aplicados cem questionários nas duas manifestações observadas, utilizando a abordagem cultural da Geografia para evidenciar a relação entre as paisagens festivas reproduzidas com o processo de (não) registro do patrimônio cultural imaterial da cidade. Assim, observamos estreitas relações entre a paisagem festiva reconstruída nos festejos e o processo de registro das manifestações enquanto patrimônio cultural imaterial municipal.

WELCOME TO VEREMA: Procés de mercantilització de la tradició i el patrimoni. El cas de la DO Alella

Avui dia creix cada vegada més l'interès social en la recuperació, valorització i promoció del patrimoni i la tradició alimentària com a estratègia per generar un recurs econòmic des del territori (Ascher, 2005:119). L'alimentació a través de la cuina i la gastronomia s'ha convertit en un recurs explorat i explotat per part de diverses institucions (Tresserras, Medina, Matamala 2007:218). Els actius del propi territori es converteixen en l'eina per generar un valor econòmic que faci a la comunitat sostenible. Part del model de desenvolupament territorial vigent es fonamenta en la capacitat d'atracció turística dels llocs on el procés de patrimonialització de l'alimentació és un exemple de com un recurs esdevé un producte de comerç i una eina de desenvolupament del territori. ¿De quina manera es construeix el patrimoni? Quins són els agents que participen i quins resultats s'aconsegueixen? Quins beneficis reals aporten l'ús turístic del patrimoni? Quines són les infraestructures que es generen? Quina percepció té la societat del paisatge o de l'entorn resultant? Aquestes són preguntes que han alimentat l'interès d'aquesta investigació. S'ha emmarcat l'objecte d'estudi a la Denominació d'Origen de vins Alella, tant a través d'algunes parts com del tot que conformen el seu àmbit geogràfic. El discurs del procés de patrimonialització i les estratègies que es duen a terme per part dels agents implicats en particular i de la ciutadania en general que formen part de l'àmbit geogràfic de producció de la DO és el focus en què s'ha posat atenció per descriure i analitzar un cas particular de procés de mercantilització de la tradició i el patrimoni. La investigació pretén mostrar i analitzar un cas particular de procés de patrimonialització d'un producte alimentari amb la dificultat que comporta ser un procés de construcció viu, subjecte a variacions, mutacions i canvis. Tradició, patrimoni, herència, transmissió, realitat, invenció, espectacle, representació, còpia, autèntic i diferenciació són conceptes clau que s'han tingut en compte en aquesta investigació. / Nowadays increasingly growing social interest in recovery, enhancement and promotion of heritage and tradition food as a strategy to generate an economic resource from the territory (Ascher, 2005:119). Feeding through the cooking and gastronomy has become a resource explored and exploited by various institutions (Tresserras, Medina, Matamala 2007:218). The assets of the territory itself become the tool to generate an economic value that makes a sustainable community. Part of the current territorial development model is based on the capacity of tourist attraction places where patrimonial process of feeding is an example of how a resource becomes a trading product and territorial development tool. How is built heritage? What are the actors involved and what results are achieved? What real benefits bring heritage tourism use? What are the infrastructures that are generated? What is your perception of society resulting landscape or environment? These are questions that have fueled the interest of this research. It has been framed in order to study in the Denomination of Origin wines Allela, both through some parts and the whole that make geographical area. The speech patrimonialization process and strategies carried out by particular stakeholders and the general public as part of the geographical scope of the DO production is the focus in which attention has been paid to describe and analyze a particular case of commodification of tradition and heritage. The research aims to display and analyze a particular case patrimonialization processing of a food product with the difficulty involved in being an active construction process, subject to variations, mutations and changes. Tradition, heritage, inheritance, transmission, reality, invention, show, representation, copy, authentic and differentiation are key concepts that have been considered in this research.

A história e a cultura festiva do brasileiro nas narrativas de Sílvio Romero (1883-1888) / The history and the festive culture of the brazilian in the narratives of Sílvio Romero (1883-1888)

The present research aims to define how the discourses, written and published in the second half of the 19th century, and present in Sílvio Romero's work were in dialogue to define a "place" for the national popular culture, in a confluence of manifestations that went from the field to the city, through its historical, ethnographic and literary narratives, in the collection and transmission of songs (folk songs), folk tales, customs, traditions, profans and religious festivals, devotions, cults, prayers, tracing a picture of the social constitution of the wonderful and fascinating popular universe erected by the discursive sign of Brazilian people's miscegenation, searching, in these entangled nodes, to find the fossilized roots of the past imaginary, in ourselves and in others, immersed in the fringe of the various stories told and refold by the simple people, and materialized in time and in the blotter of some intellectuals. Then we use some of the author's works, such as: Popular Songs of Brazil (1883), Popular Tales of Brazil (1885), Studies on Popular Poetry in Brazil (1888), The History of Brazilian Literature (1808), which present themselves as documentary contributions for the understanding of an era and its sociocultural mentality, besides being also constituted is the first written records on the national oral history literature. / A presente pesquisa se propõe a definir como os discursos, escritos e publicados na segunda metade do século XIX, e presentes na obra de Sílvio Romero dialogavam no sentido de definir um “lugar” para a cultura popular nacional, numa confluência de manifestações que iam do campo à cidade, através de suas narrativas históricas, etnográficas e literárias, na recolha e transmissão de cantos (cantigas), contos (causos populares), costumes, tradições, festas profanas e religiosas, devoções, cultos, orações, parlendas, tipos populares e folguedos, traçando um quadro do tecido social do mágico e fascinante universo popular erigido que foi pelo signo do mote discursivo da mestiçagem do povo brasileiro, buscando nesses nós enredados, encontrar as raízes fossilizadas do imaginário pretérito, em nós e nos outros, imerso na franja das várias estórias contadas e recontadas pelo povo simples, e materializadas no tempo e no mata-borrão de intelectuais da causa. Nesse sentido, nos servimos de algumas das obras do autor, tais como: Cantos Populares do Brasil (1883), Contos Populares do Brasil (1885), Estudos sobre a Poesia Popular no Brasil (1888), História da Literatura Brasileira (1888), os quais se nos apresentam como aportes documentais para a compreensão de uma época e de sua mentalidade sociocultural, para além de constituírem-se, também, nos primeiros registros escritos da literatura histórica oral da nação.

Seven Movements from "Missa Festiva" (1817) of Marcos Portugal (1762–1830): A Vocal Score with Critical Commentary

Marcos António da Fonseca Portugal (1762–1830) is considered by several Luso-Brazilian musicologists to be the most prolific and influential Portuguese composer in history, having impacted the Portuguese and Brazilian music scene significantly during his lifetime. Marcos Portugal achieved international fame for his large-scale works, which include sacred compositions, Italian opera seria, as well as farsas and opera buffa in Portuguese. Despite the reputation he achieved during his lifetime, today his works are understudied and underperformed, even in Lusophone countries. Such an oversight is noticeable particularly as regards his sacred music corpus. For this reason, I have chosen Missa Festiva (1817) as the subject of this dissertation. Creating a vocal score of the solo, duo and trio movements of Missa Festiva will be helpful not only for performers, but also for scholars and conductors who wish study this work. A vocal score makes accessible the performance of individual movements when only piano, organ, or another keyboard instrument is available. By facilitating the performance and analysis of Missa Festiva, this document will contribute to the work's dissemination and to a better understanding of the value of early nineteenth-century Luso-Brazilian virtuosic vocal sacred music. The manuscript used for the transcription and orchestral reduction into a vocal score of movements III-IX is BR-Rcm MS CRI-SM59 from the Acervo Musical do Cabido Metropolitano do Rio de Janeiro, from 1818 (images included in the dissertation).
