The dissertation deals with the design of fully differential frequency filters using the signal flow graphs. It presents the procedures for designing frequency filters, focusing on the active elements such as multiple-output current followers (MO-CF) and digitally adjustable current amplifiers (DACA), which work in a current mode. It is theoretically discussed the issue of designing the M-C graphs, which are the graphic analogy of voltage and current incidence matrices. There are also presented three designs of 2nd order frequency filter circuits using the indirect method of design by M-C graphs and one circuit design using the direct method. The results of each simulation and measurement are presented in a module frequency characteristics. Finally, there is a summary of M-C graphs characteristics and applicability.

The instructional leadership role of the high school head in creating a culture of teaching and learning in ZimbabweMasuku, Silvester 08 1900 (has links)
In this study, the researcher aimed to investigate and explore the instructional
leadership role of the high school head in creating a culture of teaching and
learning (COTL), with specific reference to high schools in the Midlands Province of
Zimbabwe. In an attempt to realise that end, a qualitative approach drawing from
ethnographic studies was used to collect data. Therefore, the research instruments
included qualitative observations, individual and focus group interviews and
document analysis. The participants included five high school heads, ten heads of
departments (HODs), ten assistant teachers, and twenty five parents. These were
drawn from the five high schools selected for the study.
The main findings of the study are that a model for effective instructional leadership
aimed at creating a culture of teaching and learning (COTL) consists of long-term
and short-term dimensions. The long-term instructional leadership dimension
comprises: visioning, communication of the school vision, value management,
professional development of staff, and empowerment. The short-term instructional
leadership dimension comprises of characteristics of the instructional leader,
characteristics of the followers and characteristics of the situation. Characteristics of
the instructional leader include his or her perception of stakeholders, task or people
orientation, personality, knowledge and experience, value system and trust in
followers. Characteristics of the followers include their readiness to take
responsibility, motivation to excel, knowledge and experience. Characteristics of the
situation include the school climate and culture, relationships among members of
the school community, structuring of tasks, availability of human and material
resources, and the use of incentives.
The effective application of the instructional leadership model for effective practice
by the high school head as the instructional leader in creating a culture of teaching
and learning (COTL) takes into account both the long-term and short-term dimensions of effective instructional leadership in order to achieve meaningful

À l’aide d’éléments théoriques puisés chez Max Weber et ses successeurs, on tente de faire un bilan, une synthèse des recherches passées et celles en cours, et de proposer notre propre compréhension du pouvoir charismatique et la question de son utilité. En effet, bien que le concept de charisme soit largement utilisé et discuté par les théoriciens du pouvoir et du leadership, il demeure encore une énigme majeure des sciences sociales, politiques et juridiques. Ainsi, persuadé de sa pertinence comme principe de légitimation du pouvoir politique, on tente d’explorer plus en avant certains de ses aspects négligés ou insuffisamment élaborés, afin de proposer une vue d’ensemble sur la question. L’illustration de ses grandes figures historiques les plus marquantes comme Mussolini, Hitler, Khomeiny, de Gaulle, Mao, Houphouët, Nkrumah nous permet d’entrevoir ses vertus et ses vices, mettant également en avant les crises de succession en régime charismatique avec leurs différentes solutions. / The purpose of this thesis deals with the charisma and the succession crisis in charismatic regime. With the help of theoretical elements drawn from Max Weber and his successors, we try to make an assessment, a summary of previous researches and those in progress, and propose our own understanding of charismatic power and the question of its usefulness. Indeed, although the concept of charisma is widely used and discussed by the theorists of power and leadership, it remains a major conundrum of social science, political and legal. So convinced of its relevance as a principle of legitimation of political power, we attempt to further explore some aspects neglected or insufficiently developed to provide an overview of the issue. The illustration of these great historical figures, the most significant, like Mussolini, Hitler, Khomeini, De Gaulle, Mao, Houphouët, and Nkrumah gives a glimpse of its virtues and its vices, thus highlighting the crises of succession in charismatic regime with their different solutions.

Grave rites and grave rights: anthropological study of the removal of farm graves in northern peri-urban JohannesburgHill, Cherry Ann 02 1900 (has links)
Text in English / In a diachronic and multi-sited study that extended from 2004 through
2012/2013 I deconstructed the sociocultural dynamics of relocating farm graves
from the farm Zevenfontein in northern peri-urban Johannesburg. The graves at
the focus of the study were some seventy-six graves removed from a northern
portion of the farm in 2004 for a huge development project that commenced
construction in 2010, and other graves removed in the 1980s from portions of
the farm developed for residential estates in the 1990s.
The study explored the people who dwelt on the farm and created the
graveyards, the religious processes entailed in relocating the mortal remains of
ancestors, the mortuary processes of exhuming and reburying ancestors, the
disputations between and negotiating processes of landowners and grave
owners, and the demands and demonstrations by farm workers and dwellers
seeking redress for past human and cultural rights infringements.
Although the topic of farm graves is well-referenced in land claims and sense of
place discourses and is not in itself a new topic, this study provides original and
in-depth information and insight on the broader picture of ancestral graves and
their relocation, including the structuring of a community and its leaders and
followers, it suggests answers to the question as to whether ancestral
graves/graveyards can successfully and functionally be relocated. Not only are
religious aspects examined in the study, but also the sociopolitical and economic
dimensions of relocating graves are fully scrutinised in the context of farm
workers and dwellers’ political awareness of and astuteness to the social and
