RPA, AI och IPA blir allt mer populära verktyg inom företagande. Detta trots att det till stor del saknas teoretisk förankrad förståelse för vilka förmågor teknologierna besitter och hur de kan understödja företagsledning. Som ett svar på den bristande tillgängligheten av forskning kring ämnet, syftade denna studie till att på ett inkluderande och övergripande plan, samla teknologiernas förmågor och nytta. Varpå dessa kunde kopplas mot verksamhetsstyrning i form av konceptet TQM. Studien genomfördes som en kvalitativ enfallsstudie, där fallet utgjordes av ett internationellt teknikföretag som arbetar med applikationer kopplat till teknologierna. Den empiri som fallet erbjöd samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer, där företagets personal utgjorde studiens respondenter. Empirin jämfördes sedan med och kompletterades av den tidigare spridda teoretiska forskningen kring RPA, AI och IPA:s nyttjande och nytta. Ur sammankopplingen skapades en modell vilken gav en bred bild av teknologiernas nytta i relation till TQM och MBNQA-modellen som nyttjades för att konkretisera TQM. Resultatet antydde att RPA, AI och IPA kan utgöra viktiga verktyg för att stödja verksamhetsstyrning enligt TQM, och bidrog med en bred teoretisk referensram för teknologiernas förmågor i relation till verksamhetsstyrning. Studien belyste även behovet av mer forskning kring teknologiernas snabbt föränderliga förmågor i relation till verksamhetsstyrning och TQM. / RPA, AI, and IPA are becoming increasingly popular tools in the business sector. Despite their growing prevalence, there is a significant lack of theoretically grounded understanding of the capabilities these technologies possess and how they can support corporate management. In response to this research gap, the aim of this study was to comprehensively and inclusively gather the capabilities and benefits of these technologies. Subsequently, these factors were linked to business management through the concept of TQM. The study was conducted as a qualitative single-case study, with the case comprising an international technology company working with applications related to these technologies. The empirical data were collected through semi-structured interviews, with the company's personnel serving as the study's respondents. This empirical data were then compared with and supplemented by existing scattered theoretical research on the utilization and benefits of RPA, AI, and IPA. From this synthesis, a model was developed that provided a broad view of the technologies' benefits in relation to TQM and the MBNQA model, which was used to concretize TQM. The results suggested that RPA, AI, and IPA can serve as important tools to support business management according to TQM, and contributed a broad theoretical framework for the capabilities of these technologies in relation to business management. The study also highlighted the need for further research on the rapidly evolving capabilities of these technologies in relation to business management and TQM.

Presented thesis Programs of the European Union of supporting regional interparliamentary cooperation in the region of Western Balkans as an instrument of regionalisation is focusing on regional parliamentary cooperation in the region of Western Balkans and programs of the European Union which are programmed to support this particular cooperation. The study is framed in the theory of new regionalism and the approach of socialization in international relations, which both offer in the case of European integration explanation of why regionalization takes place. I studien har fyra skolledare verksamma i gymnasieskolan intervjuats. Studien syftar till att utforska skolledares upplevelser och erfarenheter av ledning och samordning av det pedagogiska arbetet genom en interpretativ fenomenologisk analys. I studien framträder tre dimensioner av hur pedagogiskt ledarskap gestaltas i spänningsfältet mellan lärares handlingsutrymme och uppdraget att leda och samordna det pedagogiska arbetet. Dessa dimensioner är förhandling och balansgång mellan att skapa struktur och att ge utrymme till lärarna, att följa en etisk kompass som även verkar förebildande samt dimensionen förändringsarbete. Resurserna som respondenterna använder är den förståelsedrivna undersökande attityden i kombination med värnandet av lärarens handlingsutrymme med förväntan om förändring, reflexivt användande av egna tidigare erfarenheter, tydlighet och uppdragsförankring, struktur och systematiskt kvalitetsarbete. Respondenternas förståelse av uppdraget och hur de gestaltar pedagogiskt ledarskap i de dimensionerna i kombination med de resurser som respondenterna använder tolkas som att det ger professionellt välbefinnande. Det blir en form av vård av skolledar-jaget. / In the study, four secondary principals have been interviewed. The aim of the study is to explore principals’ experiences and perceptions of managing and coordinating educational work through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The study reveals three dimensions of how instructional leadership is manifested within the tension between teachers’ autonomy and the mandate to lead and coordinate educational activities. These dimensions include negotiating and balancing the creation of structure with providing space for teachers, adhering to an ethical compass that also serves as a role model, and the dimension of change management. The resources utilised by the respondents are a comprehension-driven investigative attitude combined with safeguarding the teacher’s autonomy with an expectation of change, reflective use of personal past experiences, clarity and mission alignment, and systematic quality management. The respondents’ understanding of their role and how they embody instructional leadership within these dimensions, along with the resources they use, is interpreted as contributing to their professional well-being. Stakeholder perceptions of service quality improvement in Ethiopian public higher education institutions

The study identifies how different stakeholders perceive service quality improvement initiatives in public higher education institutions in Ethiopia. For this purpose, a mixed research methodology was employed. Furthermore, secondary data were collected from a variety of literature and primary data were collected from academic staff and final year students at public higher education institutions using the SERVQUAL scale and through focus group interviews. The collected data were analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The research findings indicated that all dimensions of the service quality improvement initiatives were perceived by academic staff and studentsto be verypoor. The reasons for these poor or low perceptions were: the high expectationsof the stakeholders, the government’s intention to expand, lack of adequate knowledge regarding the implementation of the BPR process, the lack of motivation by service providers, poor management and the lack of good governance by the universities, inexperienced workers, non-empowered and task specific frontline employees, the low quality of the infrastructure, non-value adding hierarchical structures and approval systems, ethical problems with some service providers, the high staff turnoverand the lack of experienced staff. In addition, at all new universities, construction is underway and as a result,there are problems such as the poor state of the dormitories, classes,bathrooms, recreation areas, lounges, TV rooms, sport fields and internet connectivity, while the libraries are not well stocked with books and periodicals either. This study has recommended that the institutions should have standardised instruments that can be used to measure the status of service quality improvement and deliveryperiodically and to identify the areas that have the highest perceived performance gap scores in order to redeploy some of the resources. It also needs to be pointed out that the service providers lack sufficient knowledge and skillsconcerning the implementation of BPR, thus training is recommended in this regard.It is further recommended that for effective implementation of the BPR process, the importance of the provision of different guiding documents, continuous monitoring of activities and top management support should be kept in mind. / Educational Leadership and Management / D. Teaching Presence and Intellectual Climate in a Structured Online Learning Environment

Teaching presence and its implications for the intellectual climate of an online classroom cannot be fully understood unless explored from the perspective of the instructors who experience it. Framed in the theoretical perspective of the Community of Inquiry (CoI) model, this collective case study investigated the actions, intentions and perceptions of instructors with the intent of developing an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon of teaching presence as it was established in a structured online learning environment. The experiences of selected successful instructors in this specific online context were explored to gain insight on how pedagogical choices influenced the establishment of an intellectual climate appropriate to the courses taught. Using semi-structured interviews as the main source of data, the study utilized the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method as an analytical tool to address concerns of rigor in the qualitative interpretation of experiential data. It was the goal of this study to gain an understanding of how teaching presence is established and the decision processes employed in doing so in order to make a contribution to the body of knowledge from a practical pedagogical perspective. Findings of the study provided insight into the following: Practices in Establishing Teaching Presence. Intentions of Instructors. Influence on Intellectual Climate. Nature of Teaching Presence. Overall, the collective case revealed that an active interest and passion for teaching and an understanding of relevance to the student encouraged student engagement, and inspired intellectual curiosity and a shared responsibility for the learning process. The findings show that the common goal of learning shared by instructor and student had its foundations in the creation of authentic relationships between instructor and students that extend beyond stated learning objectives and expected outcomes. The results of this study contribute to knowledge related to the nature of teaching presence and its role in setting an academic climate, addressing the overarching question of the study about how instructors establish teaching presence and inspire intellectual curiosity within the courses they teach. In addition, the experiences of the selected instructors helped provide a vocabulary with which to describe the shared pedagogies of instructors and served to catalog commonalities in actions and intent associated with setting an intellectual climate that met the requirements of academic rigor appropriate to the courses they taught.

Speech in America: Tracking the Evolution of Speech Pedagogy in Theatre Training

Speech work, as it relates to actor training, has undergone many important changes since its formal introduction to the field over a century ago by Edith Skinner. Unfortunately, there are many who hold on to antiquated, misinformed and often harmful approaches to this kind of training. This thesis questioned the traditional models of speech pedagogy by creating a narrative for its development, questioning its efficacy, and exploring the alternatives that have developed over the years. I looked at the texts and approaches of Edith Skinner, Patricia Fletcher, Louis Coliaini, and Dudley Knight/Phil Thompson. I acknowledge that each practitioner has made a substantial contribution to the field. In this thesis I question what place each has in the future of speech pedagogy in America. I gathered opinions from both critics and proponents of each work in the hopes of creating a more cohesive understanding of how speech pedagogy should be handled in the future according to those who will be teaching it. This thesis includes considerable usage of phonetic symbols found on the International Phonetic Alphabet establish by the International Phonetic Association.

Seu preparo é o maior motivo de objeção pelo consumidor, devido a compostos voláteis que irritam os olhos. O processamento mínimo torna assim, o produto mais atrativo e pronto para consumo, por eliminar as etapas de manipulação. O presente trabalho objetivou avaliar as alterações na composição fitoquímica e microbiológica em formatos de cebola amarela IPA-11 minimamente processadas. Os bulbos foram cultivados de outubro de 2013 a março de 2014, numa área experimental do Centro de Ciências e Tecnologia Agroalimentar da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, Campus de Pombal – PB; colhidos; curados durante seis dias à temperatura ambiente (30±2°C) e minimamente processados: seleção; remoção do catáfilos externos; cortes; sanitização e enxágue; drenagem das cebolas inteiras; centrifugação das rodelas e cubos; embalagem em bandeja de isopor recoberta com filme de PVC em porções de 200 g de cebolas; e, conservação a 4±1ºC, sob 70±5% UR, durante 10 dias. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 3 x 6, correspondente a tipos de cortes (inteira, rodela e cubo) e tempos de conservação (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 e 10 dias), com cinco repetições. Os bulbos obtiveram rendimento maior que 90% no processamento mínimo para todos os cortes. Observou-se durante o período de conservação aumento na perda de massa fresca, na concentração de íons H+, nos teores de açúcares solúveis e redutores e no extravasamento de eletrólitos. Os teores de ácido ascórbico e a relação sólidos solúveis/acidez titulável reduziram com o tempo de conservação. Nos compostos bioquímicos, os flavonóides reduziram em todos os tratamentos. As clorofilas e os carotenóides oscilaram durante a conservação, independente do corte. Verificou-se que os compostos fenólicos e a pungência mantiveram-se praticamente constantes durante a conservação. Obteve-se baixa contagem de aeróbios psicrotróficos, bolores e leveduras. A contagem de coliformes totais e termotolerantes resultou valores de ˂3 NMP/g. O tipo de corte e o tempo de conservação não comprometeram a qualidade final das cebolas amarelas IPA-11 minimamente processadas. / The onion (Allium cepa L.) is a vegetable with great demand in Brazil, mainly in natura. Its preparation is the biggest consumer objection due to volatile compounds that irritate the eyes. The product becomes more attractive and ready to be used by eliminating manipulation steps. This study aimed to evaluate changes in the phytochemical and microbiological composition of yellow onion formats IPA-11 minimally processed. The bulbs were grown from October 2013 to March 2014 on an experimental area of the Center of Agrifood Science and Technology - Federal University of Campina Grande, Campus of Pombal - PB; harvested; cured for six days at room temperature (30 ± 2 ° C) and minimally processed: selection; removal of external cataphylls; cuts; sanitizing and rinsing; draining the whole onions; centrifugation of slices and cubes; packing styrofoam trays covered with PVC film in portions of 200 g of onions; and conservation at 4 ± 1 ° C under 70 ± 5% RH for 10 days. The experimental design was completely randomized in a factorial 3 x 6, corresponding types of cuts (whole, slice and cube) and storage time (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 days), with five replications. The bulbs have gained more than 90% yield in minimum processing for all cuts. It was observed a loss increase of weight during the retention period , the concentration of H + ions in soluble sugars and reducing and electrolyte leakage. The ascorbic acid content and the soluble solids / titratable acidity decreased with storage time. In the biochemicals compounds, flavonoids decreased in all treatments. The chlorophylls and carotenoids varied during storage, regardless the cut. It was found that the phenolic compounds and pungency remained virtually constant during storage. Obtained low aerobic psychrotrophic count, molds and yeasts. The total coliforms and thermotolerant resulted values below 3 MPN / g. The kind of cut and the storage time did not affect the final quality of yellow onions IPA-11 minimally processed.

This dissertation focuses on the contributions of Phonetics in the teaching and learning processes of languages pronunciation in Singing. For that, it investigates a teaching proposal based on this discipline of Linguistics, the Phonetics, with emphasis on articulation and representation of speech sounds - the Articulatory Phonetics and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) in practice, the phonetic transcription. It is based on the literature on Phonetics and Phonology, in the Linguistics area, on the Teaching of Languages, in the Applied Linguistics, and on the Diction for Singers, in the Arts - specifically, the field of Music, singing. Based on the diagnosis made on the subject of Diction in technical and undergraduate courses of Singing in institutions in the triangle region of Minas Gerais, it reflects and suggests changes on didactic and pedagogical aspects, related to the training of singers and singing teachers. It intends to contribute with theoretical reflections, teaching materials and methodological approaches for the teaching of pronunciation of the major languages in the classical repertoire performed in Brazil. / Esta dissertação centra-se nas contribuições da Fonética no processo ensino e aprendizagem da pronúncia de línguas no Canto. Para isto, investiga uma proposta de ensino elaborada com base nesta disciplina da Linguística, a Fonética, com ênfase na articulação e representação dos sons da fala a Fonética Articulatória e o Alfabeto Fonético Internacional (AFI) em sua prática, a transcrição fonética. Fundamenta-se em literaturas sobre Fonética e Fonologia, da área de Linguística, sobre o Ensino de Línguas, da Linguística Aplicada e, sobre Dicção para Cantores, das Artes especificamente, da subárea Música, o instrumento Canto. Avstängda barn : En tolkande fenomenologisk studie om förskolechefers uppfattningar och erfarenheter om avstängning av barn i förskola

Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på förskolechefers uppfattningar och erfarenheter om barn som stängs av i förskola pga. obetald barnomsorgsavgift. Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med åtta förskolechefer och resultatet har analyserats med IPA, där tre huvudteman har tolkats fram. Dubbla känslor gentemot avstängning beskriver hur informanterna uttrycker sig för och emot bestämmelsen avstängning av barn. Olika roller och åtaganden handlar om hur förskolecheferna uppfattar sin egen roll och vilka olika befogenheter de tillskriver sig. Stigmatisering som följd handlar om att informanterna upplever att avstängning kan ge stigmatiserande effekter för de barn och familjer som drabbas, då de redan lever i socioekonomiska svårigheter. Studiens slutsatser är att informanternas uppfattningar om sin roll som chef och sina befogenheter påverkar hur de agerar vid en avstängning. En annan slutsats är att barnperspektivet i myndighetsutövandet är bristande. Avslutningsvis ges rekommendationer och förslag på metoder, som barnkonsekvensanalys samt individuell prövning om barnets eget behov till förskolan. Detta för att närma ett barnperspektiv i beslut och värna om barnets bästa.
