Lööv, Madelene, Madelene, Breider, Fredrik, Carlsson January 2014 (has links)

Reducering av ledtid genom en värdeflödesanalys En fallstudie på Lammhults Möbel AB / Reduction of lead time by a value stream analysis a case study at Lammhults Möbel AB

Söderberg, Jannice, Pettersson, Fanny, Albertsson, Jonas January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of activities, flows and waste in a company's production process. By performing a value stream analysis, non-value adding activities are identified in a production process and then the suggested improvements that can reduce lead times will be stated. The value-stream mapping identifies the flow of information and the flow of material in a production process and this provides the basis for the identification of non-value adding activities. We conducted the study at Lammhults Möbel AB in Lammhult Sweden, where the production flow of Spira-21 has been investigated. This to identify any non-value adding activities that affect the flow negative and consumes time and money in a non-value adding way. A reasonable approach for the project was taken by studying the methodologies and theories. We conducted interviews and site surveys at Lammhults Möbel AB where the flow of information and material in the production process were investigated. Then a current state map of the production flow is constructed and we were able to identify non-value adding activities. By studying our value-stream map and compare this with the theoretical background suggestions of improvement for reducing non-value adding activities will be done. These suggestions can answer our main question; How can non-value adding activities in the flow of material and information be reduced in order to reduce the lead-time of a company's production process The proposed improvements that are developed includes, reduce storage. Implementing Lean tools, such as 5S, Kaizen and Kanban, and streamline production management and set demand for delivery of the company's suppliers to get a JIT system. Through implementation of proposals, unnecessary inventory, transportation and movements will decrees. There will be more effective management and production becomes more systematic. To consider this result, we believe the lead-time will be reduced and our purpose is achieved.

Produktivitetsanalys ur ett LEAN-perspektiv : En studie hos OPPC, AstraZeneca

Lindberg, Mikael January 2012 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to map the resources and methods used at the department OPPC, at AstraZeneca, and derived from that give suggestions on possible solutions that will increase their productivity. Mapping of the product flow, as well as gathering of process data, has mainly been done using observations, but consultation with the process technicians has also played a great role. Further have theoretical methods been used, based on literature studies, within the areas of Lean production and statistics. The work has incrementally gone forward since the steps taken has been restricted by the irregularity of production which led to the need of creating a fictive production flow. This has affected the lead-time calculations in the way that they are meant to give an indication, rather than an absolute truth, on how different methods described shall be used. The current state analysis showed multiple areas of improvement when defining capacity as value adding time in relation to total throughput time. Using the "standard scenario" as a basis showed that the actual production flow only constituted 50% of the total project time. Further it showed that the workflow contained more non-value adding activities than value adding activities, which is a result of how the work is distributed within the department as well as in the different projects. The thesis resulted in different methods that together will show great reduction in throughput time. The new workflow is based on One-Piece flow, which implies that products should be processed without any delay between the different processing steps. Non-value adding activities have been restructured so that they will have no negative effect on the total throughput time. Based on this thesis, the personal at OPPC should be able to continue the improvement work by doing further measurements that would act as foundation for more detailed lead-time calculations. Restructuring of this kind would not be costly for OPPC but would set some demands on concerned departments. Finally, a prerequisite for this to work is that the engagement of the personal is in focus, or else they may fall back to old routines.

Mustafa, Lejla January 2017 (has links)

Björkman, Ludvig, Eriksson, Rikard January 2021 (has links)
Volvo Construction Equipment in Hallsberg manufactures tanks and cabs for wheel loaders, dump trucks, rollers and excavators. This work focuses on the processes of press brake and welding in the production flow of tanks. The production today includes 20 different tank models that are made of 100 press braked articles. In the autumn of 2021 the production will increase with 5 new tank models and 25 press braked articles. The inventory before welding is already highly utilized and won’t be expanded, that’s where Volvo CE has noticed a problem. The schedules that the operators of the press brake and welding operates by are taken from a preliminary annual schedule from Volvo CE's system by SAP. The welding schedule is equalized every week and adapted according to the needs of the internal painting. At the same time the press brake works according to the preliminary annual schedule due to the system having a freezing time between press brake and welding. This creates an imbalance and prevents the press brake schedule from levelling. The processes for press braking, internal transport and welding don't have standardizations, which entail that the organization doesn't have control of the flow.  he work presents improvement in three parts. The first one is that the freezing time between press brake and welding should be eliminated, to make the flow balanced. It is proposed that standards should be introduced in every process in the flow. It would ensure the process and make it generate the same output every time regardless of the operator. Standardisation supports sustainability on the social side because co-workers can feel that they can complete things that the organisation wants. New set-up times, cycle times and process efficiency can then be calculated, which is required for the schedule to be levelled and optimized. The balanced and leveled flow in combination with the introduced method standards will lead to a reduced lead time, which entails a reduced storage time. This will favour the economic growth for Volvo CE and reduce the amount of restricted capital.

Gyllsten, Mathilda January 2019 (has links)

Ledtidsreduktion vid ACG Nyström / Lead time reduction at ACG Nyström

Hansson, Mikael, Hansen, Kristoffer January 2008 (has links)
A report has been made at a company in Borås at a company called ACG Nyström. Thecompany is today international and is marketing advanced equipment, systems and furthereducation to the manufacturing industry. A part of ACG Nyström’s production is a machinethey call Unimat. ACG Nyström doesn’t just stand for the actual production of the machine, but also for assembling and installation of the machine at the final customer. The companyalso offers service. The purpose of this task is to create a more flexible production by reducing the lead time ofthe machine Unimat. This flexible production is not a customer demand, but an easier way forACG Nyström to adept to customers’ inability to make up their minds. It’s a problem forACG Nyström when the customer suddenly wants to make some changes in their order in themiddle of the creation of a machine. The report is divided into four phases. The first phase contains the purpose of the work andthe works delimitation. The next phase contains a literature study which is followed by astudy of the situation at the company today, mapping and a company analyze. The last phasecontains improvement proposals and conclusions. To achieve the goals with this examination work, a collecting of literature and studying hasbeen made. The literature study is used as background knowledge for the report’s problemdescription. Discussions about the current situation at the company and improvementproposals are also based on these literature studies. The literature study is general anddiscusses lead time, steering principals and how a faster flow can be reached.iiiThe introduction of Lean production would generate many benefits, for example equalizingthe flow, for the company. Lean production is a modern logistical concept that manycompanies and organisation tries to implement and pursue. One of the factors to the long lead time at the company is the complex internaltransportations, for example the transport between operations in the company. This is a factbecause of the size and weight of the models that have to be transported. Further reasons forthe complex internal transportations are that the operation moments have some distancebetween each other. Not only are the models big and heavy, they also have to be transportedfar. To develop nearness between the operations, a new layout has been created in the currentproduction area. / Uppsatsnivå: C
