[pt] Este trabalho debruça-se sobre as obras de Adelaide Carraro (1925-1992) e Cassandra Rios (1932-2002), comumente referidas como as maiores pornógrafas da literatura brasileira, epíteto que evoca uma glória ambígua: a de serem campeãs de vendagem, sobretudo nas décadas de 1960 e 1970, e também recordistas em títulos censurados durante a última ditadura. Procuraremos mostrar como suas – vastas – bibliografias, identificadas entre si na paixão pelo visível da tradição naturalista e na forte presença de conteúdo sexual, configuram, não obstante, projetos distintos e em boa medida opostos. Projetos estes que mantém considerável coerência interna, ao longo de anos de produção contínua, combinando transgressão e conservadorismo de modo desafiador à interpretação. Para isso, baseando-nos no pressuposto de que a crítica não deve prescindir do objeto, utilizaremos um método até aqui relativamente pouco explorado no que diz respeito a Adelaide e Cassandra: a leitura de numerosos romances de cada uma delas, bem como entrevistas e artigos publicados na imprensa. Desta forma, questionaremos algumas proposições colhidas em sua escassa fortuna crítica, como aquelas segundo as quais seus trabalhos representam conspicuamente causas libertárias, ou consistem em outra coisa que não literatura. Ao mesmo, procuraremos iluminar aspectos pouco ventilados de seu legado literário, como sejam a crueldade, o idealismo, a aspiração à pureza. / [en] This study addresses the works of Adelaide Carraro (1925-1992) and Cassandra Rios (1932-2002), often referred to as the greatest pornographers of Brazilian literature, an epithet of dubious distinction. They were best-selling authors, especially in the 1960s and 1970s, and were also among the most censured during the last dictatorship (1964-1985). Their vast bibliographies are linked by a passion for the visible, which is proper to the naturalist tradition, and by a daring sexual content. This study will show, however, that the two authors had distinct and to a large extent contrary aims. Their literary projects, which maintained a significant level of internal cohesion over a long period of constant activity, combined transgressive and conservative elements in a way that challenges interpretation. Premised on the notion that critics should take full account of their objects of inquiry, this study breaks new ground by exploring a number of novels of each author, as well as interviews and press commentary. This study questions the scant body of previous criticism that easily associates their novels with emancipatory movements or excludes them altogether from the realm of literature. At the same time, this study brings to light oft-ignored features of these works, such as cruelty, idealism, and aspirations to purity.

La presente investigación pretende analizar la manifestación de la heterosexualidad obligatoria en el anime Revolutionary Girl Utena (1997) a través de sus dos personajes protagónicos, Utena y Anthy, a lo largo del relato. Para esto, se utilizaron los mandatos de heterosexualidad obligatoria presentados por Adrianne Rich, y se plantearon tres reacciones a estos: la adhesión, oposición y neutralidad. Como complemento, se identificaron una serie de características que suelen ser asociadas a comportamientos masculinos o femeninos en productos audiovisuales, a partir de investigaciones desarrolladas por Therese Ottosson y Xin Cheng, y por Dawn Elizabeth England, Lara Descartes y Melissa A. Collier-Meek. Estas variables fueron aplicadas a los personajes de Utena y Anthy, escogiendo los ocho episodios que mejor ejemplifican su evolución durante el relato. En función al análisis, se concluye que la heterosexualidad obligatoria es manifestada como la mayor fuerza antagónica para los personajes protagónicos, Utena y Anthy. Además, dichas manifestaciones aparecen dentro del marco de las convenciones y reglas establecidas en tres categorías de anime dedicadas a personajes femeninos y/o relaciones lésbicas (el shojo, yuri y Class-S). Si bien estas existen dentro de lo tradicional, serán re-configuradas y subvertidas en el relato de RGU. A partir de esto, la heterosexualidad obligatoria será representada a través de distintos elementos visuales y narrativos, a los que Utena y Anthy se opondrán gradualmente movilizando una serie de cambios en la representación de género de dichos personajes a lo largo del relato y enfatizando en la posibilidad revolucionaria del amor lésbico. Por lo tanto, no se encontrará una representación de género estandarizada, sino una que se construye personalmente, y es honesta para ambos personajes según sus similitudes y diferencias. / This research aims to analyze the manifestation of compulsory heterosexuality in the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena (1997) through its two main characters, Utena and Anthy. For this, Adrienne Rich’s compulsory heterosexuality mandates were used, proposing three reactions to them: adherence, opposition and neutrality. As support, a series of features usually associated with masculine or feminine behaviors on audiovisual products were identified, using the investigations from Therese Ottosson and Xin Cheng, and from Dawn Elizabeth England, Lara Descartes y Melissa A. Collier-Meek. Then, these variables were applied to the characters of Utena and Anthy, picking the eight episodes that best exemplify their evolution through the story. Based on the analysis, it’s concluded that compulsory heterosexuality manifests as the biggest antagonistic power for the main characters, Utena and Anthy. Furthermore, these manifestations appear in the frame of conventions and rules established in three anime categories dedicated to female characters and/or lesbian relationships (shojo, yuri and Class- S). Even though these three exist within the traditional, they will be re-configured and subverted in RGU’s story. From this, compulsory heterosexuality will be represented through different visual and narrative elements which Utena and Anthy will gradually oppose, mobilizing a series of changes in the gender representation of said characters through the story and emphasizing the revolutionary possibility of lesbian love. Therefore, a standardized gender representation won’t be found but rather one that is constructed personally, and is honest for both characters based on their similarities and differences.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue describir las características de la identidad de género en un grupo de “mujeres masculinas” (mujeres biológicas cuya apariencia y conducta poseen características socioculturalmente entendidas como masculinas), que cumplen condena por delito común, recluidas en un Establecimiento Penitenciario (E.P.). de Lima. A través del enfoque cualitativo, se realizaron entrevistas semi – estructuradas, enfocadas en tres áreas: (a) concepciones de la identidad de género, (b) vivencias en el desarrollo de la identidad de género, e (c) influencia del E.P en la identidad de género. Actualmente no existen investigaciones en el Perú que aborden el tema de identidad de género en un grupo de mujeres como este dentro del ámbito penitenciario. A partir de esto, se buscó entender la particularidad de la performatividad del género y cómo es que la masculinidad en un cuerpo de mujer biológica influye en su relación con los otros, donde prima la restricción y la heteronormatividad. / The aim of this qualitative study was to describe the characteristics of the construction of gender identity in a group of nine “masculine women” convicted for criminal offenses. This data was gathered using a semi-structured interview. Three areas were prioritized: a) the conceptions of gender identity, b) experiences in the development of gender identity, and c) Influence of the prison in gender identity. Currently there are no investigations in Peru about gender identity nor the problems in this group of women within the prison environment. We sought to understand the particularity of gender performativity and how masculinity in a biological woman's body influences her relationships with others, particularly within the prison environment, where restrictiveness and heteronormativity prevail.

Objective: research, considering studies of social psychology and feminist gender studies, as national policy plans for women are enables visualization and including the demands of lesbians; and investigate how articulate themselves women who self-identify as lesbians and feminists, activists of the Brazilian League of Lesbians of Rio Grande do Sul, in actions of social movement in search of inserting their claims and acquisition of rights in public policies women, while Brazilian citizens. Method: in the composition of the thesis, four studies were conducted. The first study aimed to present reflections on issues related to women's studies and the place of lesbian women and their claims, presents in the history of feminism. The second study presents an analysis of documents on the I and II PNPM, aiming to investigate if the discourses present in the shaft of health, sexual and reproductive rights policies are enables visualization the specific demands of lesbians. The third study concerns three reflections on PNPM, aiming to investigate and understand the construction of discourses present in the axis of coping against racism, sexism and lesbophobia are enables visualization the specific demands of lesbians. In studies of documentary analysis of PNPM, Atlas / Ti computer tool was used, which has been an important feature of qualitative research methodology. Finally, the fourth study presents the research conducted by the method of participant observation, which aimed to understand how women who self-identify as lesbian and who actively participate in the LBL-RS are articulating, to achieve visibility and to ensure rights in the sphere of the National Secretariat of Policies for Women. Results: Was possible to identify, from the analyzes of PNPM, which over its three editions, have occurred important changes that promoted the visibility of lesbians demands, though still recognized as insufficient and incipient to the wide range of needs and political actions specificities. It was also recognized that acquired visibility in the political and social scenario, happened because of the important role of the actresses of the social movement of the Brazilian League of Rio Grande do Sul, in claiming their rights for the construction of public policies for all women. Conclusion: However, it was possible to see how psychology has to grow at the time they propose to dialogue with social movements and give voice to the silenced and invisibilized people in our society, and to recognize in social psychology, the insertion of the analysis field of construction of public policies that promote the right to life and citizenship. Para finalizar, o quarto estudo apresenta a investiga??o, realizada atrav?s do m?todo de Observa??o Participante, que teve como objetivo compreender a forma como as mulheres que se autoidentificam como l?sbicas e que participam ativamente da LBL-RS est?o se articulando, para conquistar visibilidade e garantir direitos, na esfera da Secretaria Nacional de Pol?ticas para Mulheres. Resultados: Foi poss?vel identificar, a partir das an?lises dos PNPM, que ao longo das suas tr?s edi??es, ocorreram importantes mudan?as que promoveram a visibilidade das demandas das mulheres l?sbicas, mesmo que ainda reconhecidas como a??es pol?ticas insuficientes e incipientes para o leque amplo das suas necessidades e especificidades. As mudanças sociais das últimas décadas têm gerado profundas alterações na forma de se estabelecer vínculos afetivos, dando origem a múltiplas configurações familiares. Entre estas novas famílias, destacam-se as relações de conjugalidade e de parentalidade entre casais homossexuais, tema central desta pesquisa. Nosso foco de análise foi o modo como estão sendo vivenciadas as conjugalidades e as parentalidades entre mulheres lésbicas. A amostra se constituiu de sete mulheres que mantém uma relação amorosa com outras mulheres e nestas relações, compartilham os cuidados com um ou dois filhos. Procuramos compreender o universo afetivo destas mulheres a partir de suas narrativas. Todas elas residiam, na ocasião da entrevista, na Região Metropolitana do Recife, pertenciam à camada sociocultural média e se encontravam na faixa etária entre 30 e 46 anos. Os indicadores sociais levados em consideração para definir a camada social foram: grau de instrução, profissão, local de convivência e renda mensal. Embora não tenha sido pré-requisito para a nossa investigação, todas elas vivenciaram uma ou duas conjugalidades heterossexuais anteriores. Estas relações lhes possibilitaram o acesso aos filhos. Seis delas são mães biológicas e uma é mãe adotiva. A entrevista teve início com uma questão disparadora, a saber: Como está a sua conjugalidade no momento e como é compartilhar esta relação com o(s) filho(s)?. As narrativas foram submetidas a uma Análise de Conteúdo. Foram identificados três principais núcleos de sentido: a condição homossexual; a conjugalidade entre as mulheres e o exercício da parentalidade neste casal. A condição homossexual mostrou que a homossexualidade destas mulheres nunca foi algo fixo. Ela surgiu com o tempo, a partir de desejos condutores de uma prática sexual calcada na afetividade e na possibilidade de novas descobertas frente ao exercício da sexualidade. A conjugalidade é vivenciada como uma experiência prazerosa, apesar dos desafios enfrentados junto ao processo transitório de um relacionamento heterossexual para um homossexual. Todas as participantes apostam nestas novas relações, pois encontram nos seus acordos relacionais, as possibilidades afetivas de uma conjugalidade igualitária. Assim, a relação de parentalidade surge para complementar uma dinâmica familiar baseada na possibilidade do casal compartilhar junto aos vínculos afetivos, as responsabilidades necessárias à criação dos filhos / Social changes in the last decades have been generating profound alterations in the way how affective relationships are established, originating multiple family configurations. Among these new families, we highlight the conjugality and parenthood relations in homosexual couples, which are the central thematic of this research. We focused our analysis on how lesbian women are living conjugality and parenthood. Our sample was constituted by seven women, who maintain a love relationship with other women and, in these relations, share the caring with one or two children. We aimed to understand the affective universe of these women through their narratives. By the time of the interview, all of them were residents in Recife Metropolitan Region and had middle class social status, with ages varying from 30 to 46 years old. To classify social status the following social indicators were used: formal education level, profession, residence location and monthly income. Although it was not a prerequisite for our investigation, all of them had experienced one or two previous heterosexual conjugalities. Those relationships made possible the access to children. Six of them are biological mothers and one of them is an adoptive one. The interview began with a starter question, which was: how is your conjugality at the moment and how is it to share this relationship with your kid(s)? The narratives were submitted to Content Analysis. Three units of meaning were identified: the homosexual condition, conjugality between women and parenthood in the couple. The homosexual condition showed that those womens homosexuality was never something permanent. It appeared with time, through the desire of a sexual practice based on affectivity and on the possibility of new findings regarding the exercise of sexuality. Conjugality is lived as a pleasant experience, despite the challenges faced in the transition from a heterosexual to a homosexual relationship. All of the participants trust on these new relations, as they find in their relationship contracts the affective possibilities of a equalitarian parenthood. Therefore, the parenthood relation supplements a family dynamics based on the couples possibility to share affective bonds and the necessary responsibilities of raising the children

It is intended,therefore,to analyze the construction of characters and homoerotic practices in our cinema through the analysis of six Brazilian films . Judith Butler, for example, proposes to analyze sexuality questions in order to destabilizing categories as female or homosexuality.From the six analyzed movies and the other narratives raised, it was intended to discuss Sexual Diversity issues as discrimination, prejudice, oppression, violence, intending after this work completion, offer a comprehensive and critical view about the representation of homoerotic practices in national cinema and, also, about our society. / O presente trabalho propõe o estudo das representações das práticas homoeróticas em alguns filmes do cinema brasileiro através dos vieses pósestruturalistas. Pretende-se, assim, analisar a construção de personagens e práticas homoeróticas em nosso cinema através da análise de seis longasmetragens brasileiras. A proposta de teóricas como Butler, por exemplo, é analisar a sexualidade de forma questionadora, desestabilizando categorias até então essencializadas como o feminino ou a homossexualidade. A partir, portanto, dos seis longas analisados e das demais narrativas levantadas, pretendeu-se discutir questões caras à Diversidade Sexual na atualidade, isto é, discriminação, preconceito, opressão, violências; intencionando, assim, com a conclusão deste trabalho, oferecer um panorama abrangente e crítico da representação das práticas homoeróticas no cinema nacional e, consequentemente, na nossa sociedade.

To better understand this phenomenon a qualitative research was made with a case study and a semi-structured interview. The person whose case was used was a homosexual woman, out of the closet, older than 30 and who had lived more than one important homosexual romantic relationship. The study also discusses matters as the construction of the homosexual identity, the process of coming out, especially for the family of origin, the relationship between the homosexual and his family of origin and the construction of new relationships, specially the ones within the lesbian community. This study demonstrated the difficulties the individual lives when facing its own homosexuality and the distress she has when coming out for her family of origin. The family s reactions leads the participant in a search for a supporting net, found in the lesbian community. Since than, she starts the construction of a new set of relationships, friendships, romantic and ex-lovers relations that together will form her family of choice. At the same time, the relationship with her family of origin passes through several changes until full acceptance of her homosexuality. Finally, these relational net and the family of origin are blended to form her family of choice that reflects the complexity of these relationships / O presente estudo discute a rede de relacionamento lésbico, a presença de uma família escolhida e como se constrói esta rede de relacionamentos. Para chegar a uma possível compreensão deste fenômeno, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa com delineamento de estudo de caso e entrevista semi-estruturada. O caso escolhido para o estudo foi o de uma mulher homossexual assumida, com mais de 30 anos de idade e com a vivência de mais de um relacionamento amoroso homossexual significativo. No estudo, foram abordados elementos vinculados à aceitação da própria homossexualidade, processo do assumir-se, especialmente para a família de origem, a relação com esta e a construção de novos relacionamentos, destacando-se o relacionamento com a comunidade lésbica. A pesquisa evidenciou a dificuldade vivida para se aceitar como homossexual, bem como assumir-se para a família de origem. Diante da reação desta, a participante sai em busca de uma rede que a apóie, e a encontra na comunidade lésbica; Desde então, passa a construir novos relacionamentos, amizades, relacionamentos amorosos e relacionamentos com ex-parceiras, que vão compor sua nova família. Ao mesmo tempo, a relação com sua família de origem passa por diversas mudanças até a aceitação total de sua homossexualidade. Finalmente, rede de relacionamentos e família de origem unem-se para formar uma família escolhida que reflete uma rede complexa de relacionamentos

A produção acadêmica motivada pela epidemia de HIV e Aids impulsionou as pesquisas relativas à sexualidade configurando novos campos de investigação, em especial sobre os gays. No entanto, não é significativa no Brasil a produção acadêmica que aborde a vulnerabilidade às DSTs a partir da identidade lésbica. A saúde sexual das mulheres presumidamente heterossexuais tendeu a permanecer subsumida à exclusiva preocupação com a reprodução ao longo da trajetória das políticas de atenção à saúde das mulheres, mesmo frente à Aids. De forma ainda mais acentuada que a sexualidade feminina heterossexual, a homossexualidade feminina tendeu à invisibilidade na sociedade brasileira e frente ao discurso médico-ginecológico. O advento da epidemia contribuiu para a manutenção desta invisibilidade por força da crença de que o corpo lésbico seria o único infenso à infecção pela via sexual. Nesta tese busca-se compreender a transformação discursiva do corpo lésbico dos primeiros tempos da epidemia até hoje. Mais especificamente, como um corpo imune à epidemia está calcada na idéia de que a vulnerabilidade das lésbicas é o passaporte para a afirmação/inclusão de um dado marco identitário na agenda de políticas públicas. Nesse sentido, o campo em que se desenha a disputa do corpo lésbico face às DST/Aids é marcado pela tensão entre prática sexual e identidade sexual. / The academical production motivated by HIV and Aids epidemic has impelled researches related to the sexuality configurating new investigations fields, mainly about gays. However, in Brazil, its not significant the academical production which addresses to the STD vulnerability taking into an account the lesbian identity. The sexual health of women, expected to be heterosexual, was be connected to the unique preoccupation about the reproduction. Along the course of policies in terms of the attention to the womens health, even facing AIDS. In a more increasing way, considering the heterosexual female sexuality, the female homo sexual has tended, on the Brazilian society, to the invisibility toward the medical / gynaecologic speech. The epidemic contributed to this invisibility maintenance by strong beliefs in which the lesbian body would be the unique immune to the infection through the sexual via. This thesis objectives is based on the study about the change regarding the speech construction of the lesbian body since the first stages of the epidemic. More specifically, how a body that is immune to the epidemic is transformed into a vulnerable body. The hypothesis that guides this paper is centered on the idea in which the lesbian vulnerability is the passport to the affirmation / inclusion of a certain marl of identity in public policies. This way, the field in which the lesbian body dispute is drawn regarding STDs/AIDS is marked by tension between sexual practice and sexual identity.

The hypothesis that guides this paper is centered on the idea in which the lesbian vulnerability is the passport to the affirmation / inclusion of a certain marl of identity in public policies. This way, the field in which the lesbian body dispute is drawn regarding STDs/AIDS is marked by tension between sexual practice and sexual identity.

No contexto dessa experiência, elas assumiram novas maneiras de relacionarem-se consigo mesmas e com o meio social no qual estavam inseridas. Considerado perversão, doença, associado à criminalidade, assim o homoerotismo feminino foi nomeado pelos discursos médico-legais. Neste trabalho, resgato a discussão sobre essas práticas, sublinhando a importância da sua desconstrução, por entender que esse pensamento conservador discriminou as mulheres envolvidas nessas relações. Ademais, aproximo-me dos estudos que tornaram visíveis a diversidade das experiências femininas, atentando para a divisão binária da sociedade sob a qual o sexo tornou-se uma evidência inquestionável apagando as múltiplas formas de manifestação do humano. / Abstract: This thesis reflects upon the subjective conditions regarding Lota Macedo Soares and Elizabeth Bishop?s love relationship, understanding that they were able to create affective and sexual ties outside institutionalized spaces such as family and maternity. Within this experience, they assumed new ways to relate with themselves as well as with the social environment in which they were inserted. Considered perversion, sickness, associated to criminality, so was the female homoerotism referred to by the legal-medical discourses. In this work, I rescue a discussion on these practices, underlining the importance of deconstruction, understanding that this conservative thinking discriminated women involved in this kind of relationship. Furthermore, I approach the studies that rescued the diversity of the female experience, noticing the social binary division under which sex became unquestionable evidence that erased the multiple forms of human manifestations. / Doutorado / Historia Cultural / Doutor em História
