Vítězky a poražené. Obrazy žen v románech Theodora Fontana Frau Jenny Treibel a Effi Briest / Winners and Losers. Images of Women in Theodor Fontane's Novels Frau Jenny Treibel and Effi Briest

Jansová, Iva Bernadetta January 2019 (has links)
This Master's thesis deals with female characters of the socially critical novel Frau Jenny Treibel by Theodor Fontane, in order to find out whether the heroines are satisfied in their social roles or whether they try to challenge the social norms, and what role their social background and education play in this matter. Furthermore, we ask what life goals these women pursue and how successful they are in fulfilling them. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter sketches Fontane's biography with the emphasis on the importance of his numerous friendships with women and his ambivalent relationship to female emancipation. Based on literature research, the second chapter introduces poetic realism focusing on Fontane's specific position in it - as a critical realist with elements of modernity. The third, longest chapter, contains the analysis and interpretation of the individual female characters of the novel. We have found, that regardless their social class and education, the heroines live under social conventions, according to which their main goal is an advantageous marriage, functioning at the same time as the measure of their success. The two protagonists, the representative of the intellectual bourgeoisie Corinna, and the more experienced representative of the newly rich...

Vom Narren zum Gralskönig : Die Bedeutung der minne für Parzivals Entwicklung

Casanova, Laura January 2011 (has links)
From an ingenious fool to the Grail King: the significance of courtly love in Wolfram’s Parzival The focus of this thesis lies on the doctrines in courtly behavior, a multifaceted system of chivalric norms and behaviors often referred to as the knightly virtue system based on the literature of the early and high Middle Ages. The aim of this thesis is to study the different aspects, such as religious, military, courtly and romantic, of the knightly virtue system. The romantic aspect of the knightly ideal is given particular attention, as it is the focus of this paper. The word minne is the bearer of the romantic aspect and is central in Wolfram’s von Eschenbach Parzival which is the main source studied. The following issues are discussed in more detail: how the knightly ideal is presented in Wolfram’s epic and to what extent the minne affects the development of Parzival to the Grail king. In the course of this thesis it will also be shown that the romantic aspect is the most influential aspect of the knightly virtue system and that this particular aspect truly defines an ideal knight.

Setkávání lásky a přírody v lyrice Eduarda Mörikeho / The Encounters of Love and Nature in the Lyric Poetry of Eduard Mörike

Dvořáková, Tereza January 2021 (has links)
This diploma thesis explores the lyrical poetry of Eduard Mörike (1804-1875), a German poet. The topic of the thesis is theencountering of nature and love in his works. This poet, less known in the Czech context, wrote various kinds of poems, which deserve attention. The thesis is divided in two parts, theoretical and interpretative. In the first part, the thesis focuses on giving an overall context (I deal with a historical context, literary epochs, during which Eduard Mörike wrote, his personality and general introduction in lyrical poetry). The second part of my thesis aims to interpret selected poems, which are divided bytheir themes: romantic love, the morning, wayfaring, the forest and the so-called "Dinggedichte," or poems focusing on understanding and appreciation of a single item. In each poem, a mood or feeling that characterizes the poem is described, who is the speaker within the poem, and which topics of love and nature can be observed. From the perspective of form, I analyze the rhyme scheme. The analysis of each thematic group also contains a comparation of the poems. The interpretational part aims to connect and evaluate the interweaving of love and nature in the poetic works of Eduard Mörike and touch upon the deeper meaning of the poems. Its aim is also to make the selected works...

Die Figur der Rebellen im Frühwerk Schillers: Die Räuber, Kabale und Liebe, Don Carlos

Heyen, Edward E. 01 January 1972 (has links)
Schiller's career as a dramatist spans more than two decades. Without too much difficulty, one observes that his plays are intimately related with one another. Particularly in the Storm and Stress period, his motives appear to be much the same: Schiller is an advocate of freedom, and the rights of men. I maintain that the youthful rebel is a recurrent theme in Schiller's dramatic works and this can be shown by an analysis of four characters from three plays, followed by a summary of their similarities. The rebellious youths of Schiller are Karl Moor (Die Räuber), Ferdinand (Kabale und Liebe), and Don Carlos and Marquis Posa (Don Carlos). These men seek freedom, and hope to have their dreams realized. They want to experience the world, but only on their own terms, as free and unoppressed individuals. It is shown that they are all egoists, ultimately concerned with the fulfillment of their own needs. At the same time they are moral young men, objecting to the immorality they encounter. However, their methods of rebellion are naive. This leads to their eventual downfall. Only when it is too late do they realize their inherent failing, when they finally bring the world back into focus. This thesis explores Schiller's Storm and Stress rebel, a dramatic figure which seems to lack the ruthlessness of a truly rebellious character: Schiller's "rebels" challenge authority on all social levels, yet, they finally submit to this authority. This is not at all characteristic of the actions of a rebel. It is significant that Schiller alters the direction and force of these young heroes. As Karl Moor turns himself over to the law, the question of motive arises: why does a rebel give himself up? My thesis will outline the reasons for this inconsistency. At the heart of the problem is of course the author. Schiller has decided to reconstruct the "rebel" Why he initiates this alteration is an essential part of the study.

The legalization of intimacy in Mexico

González, Manuel Alberto Castillo 24 November 2015 (has links)
THE LEGALIZATION OF INTIMACY IN MEXICO by Manuel Castillo This dissertation has been submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor iuris (Dr. iur.) at the Faculty of Law, of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Germany. The main scope of the research is the legalization of intimacy, using Mexican law as a case study. Considering that the right to intimacy arises from the right to privacy, this research discusses the fundamental human rights that constitute a framework for the legalization of intimacy. The research provides an approach to the analysis of this subject that includes what has been introduced as the Spheres of Intimacy and the Structures of Intimacy. The issue of gender is discussed in its relationship with the law and intimacy. From a queer perspective, this dissertation questions the equality of marriage and same-sex marriage, arguing that a new form of legalization of intimacy for all is needed. Furthermore, this study provides a comparative review of Mexican legislations within the framework of international law. At the end, this dissertation offers a proposal for the legalization of intimacy in the twenty-first century.

KORRELATION VON FREIKIRCHE UND WELT. EINE MISSIONSTHEOLOGISCH-PHÄNOMENOLOGISCHE REFLEXION ÜBER DAS BEZIEHUNGSVERHÄLTNIS VON FREIKIRCHE UND WELT IM DEUTSCHSPRACHIGEN RAUM / The correlation between Free Church and World. A missiological-phenomelogical study of the relationship between Free Church and World in German-speaking society

Vatter, Stefan 11 1900 (has links)

Wimbauer, Christine, Motakef, Mona 13 April 2018 (has links)
