Pessoas com deficiências: condições de convivência e possibilidade de atenção domiciliar / Disabled persons: conditions of coexistence and possibility of home care

Ferreira, Taísa Gomes 21 September 2009 (has links)
INTRODUCTION: For the person with physical disabilities, the functional recovery does not always lead to the acquisition of skills that would provide them means to exercise their citizenship. This study aims to understand how physical disability changes the relations among people and tries to present home care as a type of health care that can address the needs resulting from this change. PROCEDURES: It was a qualitative research developed from analysis of the life stories of adults. There were 1 to 3 meetings with the subjects depending on the amount of information available. The subjects were 1 man and 3 women with physical disabilities aged between 30 and 77 years. The choice of this sample sought to represent the universe of people with physical disabilities who attend the Basic Health Care Unit of Jardim Boa Vista and who are not being treated by any occupational therapist. Other characteristics considered on the choice of the sample were age, type of disability and sequelae. Data analysis was based on the theory of significant social network of Sluzki. DISCUSSION: Through the narratives it was detected a decrease in the number of relations of coexistence in social networks composed by family or friends, work relations and social / community activities. This decrease was mainly attributed to the reduction of opportunities for social interaction. There was also a decrease in leisure activities and patterns of transportation, and the emergence of new patterns with the inclusion in health care and rehabilitation services. Due to the reduction of relations of coexistence and the difficulty of ordinary health care and family in promoting the reactivation of social networks, the occupational therapist may use home care as a strategy of action, as it offers the means to get closer to the reality of the person with disabilities. This can help on the elaboration of suggestions for knowing and reactivating the social networks of disabled persons. CONCLUSION: Home care of persons with disability with focus on maintaining and expanding the relations of coexistence can be a way to increase social participation.

Magisterium and later worked professionally in the city of Catalão/GO and region. Taking as a starting point these references, we present this research that sought to answer the following guiding question: How is the history of the Application Group constituted from the life histories of teachers who attended the Magisterium at the Center for the Training of Primary Teachers in Catalão/GO, and practiced teaching between the years 1964 and 1983? The general objective is: to know the history of the Application Group of the Center for the Training of Primary Teachers of Catalão/GO from the teachers' narratives of the teachers who in this institution exercised the Magisterio between 1964 and 1983. The specific objectives are: a) to theoretically revise the narrative biographical method by deepening the studies on the main concepts regarding our research proposal; b) identify the Application Group within the context of the Training Center for Primary Teachers of Catalão and Brazilian Education in the period studied; c) understand the life history of teachers who worked in the Application Group and the aspects related to their insertion in the institution; d) analyze the history of the Application Group of the Center for the Training of Primary Teachers of Catalão from the narratives of the teachers who in this institution exercised the teaching between 1964 and 1983. For this, we resort to the narrative biographical method and try to glimpse through of the narratives of the female teachers an Institutional Biography (BOLÍVAR, 2014). For the production of data we conducted interviews / conversations with the female teachers and also took as narratives the documents and photos of the "Suely da Paixão" - Archive NEPEDUCA. We chose Passeggi et al (2017) to refer to our thematic analysis of narratives. By knowing the biography of these female teachers, it was possible to perceive the interweaving of individual and social aspects, as well as the institutional context of C.F.P.P.C. and the Application Group were determinants for the definition of a profile of professional performance that the teachers carried throughout their lives. In tracing the Institutional Biography of the Catalão CFPP Application Group, we sought to show how the singularities of the female teachers' life histories contain individual and collective dimensions, traits that express the social dimensions of a given space-time. This Institutional Biography is a possible version of the history of this school institution. It is valid because it deals explicitly with a story told in perspective: we thus know what this institution meant in the perspective of the teachers.

La migration des silences (Bulgarie-France) : de la mise en récit du non-dit de l’histoire communiste à son impossible transmission familiale / The migration of silences (Bulgaria-France) : storytelling of the unspoken from the communist history to its impossible family transmission

Salabaschew, Sophia 30 November 2017 (has links)
Using the tools and methods of anthropology of speech and discursive analysis of life stories, this research aims to examine the transmission of silences and the unspoken (non-dit) within families in which a member migrated from Communist Bulgaria. Based on several life stories stemming from conversations with members of twelve families in which one parent emigrated to France before 1989, and on three years of participant observation in an undergraduate Bulgarian class at the National institute for oriental languages and civilizations (INALCO), analyses are carried out around three foci: the study of links between socio-political history as it is crossed by particular life stories; those between the transmission and the reception of discourses marked by silence; those between the integration of an oral and silent heritage and the acting out of singular performativity. Besides family history, silences and the unspoken are transmitted by a generation raised under censorship and self-censorship within that particular totalitarian regime. Through these life stories a father or a mother raised in a context of forced silence indeed sends back much more than just words and talk to their children. The first part of this study will be a historical contextualization tracing back a strategy of silence within the Communist ideology as the origin of the difficulty to inscribe individual stories in larger History. The second part demonstrates the impact of the subjective experience of Bulgarian communism on the apprehension of silence by the parents in their discourse/narrations. In the third part, the study focuses on the effects of parental silence on the second generation, who necessarily perceive cracks and concealment in stories reproduced as a mythical family saga. This observation opens to the final part that argues that to answer this silence, some children act through discourse, but also beyond speech, in their daily lives. Some thus try to perform these silences to transform, through art and creation in particular, the weight of an oral but silent heritage into personal resources. This thesis aims to shed light on the way subjectively experienced historical events condition family life stories or even how they determine the way children do things and say things, thereby constituting a second generation that has nothing to lose in talking about this silence, or even to shout it loud and clear.

Rod i profesija u umetnosti: diplomirane izvođačice na gudačkim instrumentima na akademijama umetnosti u Novom Sadu, Banja Luci i Zagrebu (1990–2014) / Gender and profession in Arts: women string player performers graduated at music conservatories in Novi Sad, Banjaluka and Zagreb (1990–2014)

Klem Aksentijević Ana 27 April 2016 (has links)
Na ovo se nadovezuju i podaci do kojih je do&scaron;lo ovo istraživanje, a koji svedoče o tome da je u svetu i u regionu jugoslovenskog prostora značajan broj žena doprinosio i jo&scaron; uvek, možda i vi&scaron;e nego ikada ranije, doprinosi razvoju muzike i muzičke kulture.</p> / <p>Today is almost unknown the fact that on the string department at the academies of arts in our region most of the graduated students are women. The analysis of this process is worth the research attention of education and professional activities of this, relatively significant number of graduated women string instrumentalists. By comparing data from three cultural backgrounds of ex-Yugoslav territory we come to significant conclusions for the history of women&#39;s musical heritage in the region in this area and the methodology of work with future personnel.<br />The aim of the research is the collection, selection and interpretation of data about the life of graduated women performers on stringed instruments in Novi Sad, Banja Luka and Zagreb since the establishment of these academic institutions to present day, in order to draw attention to the issue of constructing identity of women performers during and after the higher music education.<br />Hypothesis 1 is that a significant number of female music performance graduates on string instruments contributes to improving the awareness of the importance of gender identity in the music art in the region.<br />Hypothesis 2 is that the increased number of female music performance graduates on string instruments does not contribute to improving the awareness of the importance of gender identity in the music art in the region.<br />Hypothesis 3 that professional identity of the female music performance graduates on string instruments is superior to all other components of identity, including gender.<br />The corpus includes female music performance graduates on string instruments from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (20), Zagreb (4) and Banja Luka (8).<br />Analysis of the 13 components of identity (childhood, education, nineties of the 20th century, marriage, children, mother tongue, then national, religious, professional identities, health, membership in professional associations and political parties, hobbies).<br />The results show that the first hypothesis is only partly true, and that the third hypothesis is true for the total sample: all the female musicians prefer the professional identity from early childhood. Empirical data do not confirm the stereotype that the profession of a female musician exclude marriage, family and children.<br />The research results are as important as the new drafting history of music and women in this area so much and for gender studies, which are undertaken for the advancement of women in various professions in modern times. In particular, the results would enrich teaching and methodical practice in the field of music education at all levels in our country. Data from this study could (indeed, must) become a part of textbooks. In addition the data that occurred in this research testify to the fact that in the world and in the region Yugoslav territory a significant number of women contributed, and still, perhaps more than ever, contributes to the development of music and musical culture.</p>

Between the modern and the traditional : Life stories from Namibian students

Jornefelt, Stina January 2008 (has links)
<p>This study is based on six narrative interviews which I conducted with students at the University of Namibia in Windhoek, Namibia. My aim is to find out how these students are creating their identity in the environment of the university, how they look at their family structure and how Namibia´s independence in 1990 has created new opportunities for young people in contemporary Namibia. I have been using postcolonial theory and identity theories to analyse the interviews. Five of the six respondents are from the northern parts of Namibia, Ovamboland, and this area is seen as a rural area. The students have made an emotional journey from the rural areas in the north to the urban area of Windhoek and they feel that they have many new opportunities and they are willing to change Namibia into a more developed country.</p>

Fjällfolk : livsformer och kulturprocesser i Tärna socken under 1800- och 1900-talen / People in the mountains : life forms and cultural processes in the Swedish parish of Tärna in the 19th and 20th centuries

Moritz, Per January 1990 (has links)
The aim of this study is to investigate life forms and the dynamics of cultural processes in the parish of Tärna, Västerbotten. The material is an investigation of the life stories of two families, which have been investigated from an overall scientific aspect. The aim has been to examine the exploitation of resources by individuals and cognitive structures within the framework of ecological adaption. These aspects have been illuminated by the use of comprehensive source materials. Estate inventories have revealed different object categories which were associated with the exploitation of natural resources. Church registers, judgement books, tape recordings from folklore archives and the author's own interview material described life stories in a Saami mountain family and a settler family. It turned out that people in the mountains had supported themselves on a combination of stock-raising, hunting and fishing. Comprehensive socialized knowledge of the environment and its resources was a decisive factor for ecological adaption and survival.  The settler family had a solid knowledge of various handicrafts. The Saami in Tärna have settled down at an early stage and abandoned their former nomadism. The Saamish family investigated had a strong sense of family identity and their living story-telling tradition strengthened their identity and became a uniting factor. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century innovations began to emerge in the mountain parish, which often came to revolutionize the whole life pattern. The process of cultural change in Tärna in the 20th century has been dramatic. It has included the development of technology, modernization and changing exploitation of resources. Through the investigation of the life stories of the two families a clear picture has emerged of the exploitation of resources and of values, i.e. the total life pattern. / digitalisering@umu

Between Experience and Expectation : Meanings of Becoming an Adult in Young People's Life-stories

Kåks, Helena January 2007 (has links)
This thesis investigates how a group of 21 young people narrate and reflect on their lives within the framework of long interviews. The participants were interviewed at the ages of 15, 17, 22 and 25 years. The interviews are analysed as life-stories, a theoretical and methodological perspective which illuminates the interviewees ways of interpreting and constructing meaning in their lives. The study has two aims: firstly it is a contemporary study with the goal of investi-gating what the conditions for entering adulthood are, and how young people relate to becoming an adult. Secondly it is a study of method which places great importance on how life-stories are constructed situationally and culturally. These two perspectives are linked by the strong connections that exist between the young people’s way of understanding themselves and the life-stories they construct. The work is concentrated to three main questions: how experience and expectation interplay in the participants stories, how their stories relate to dominant cultural narratives, and how meanings of becoming an adult are constructed and change over time in their life-stories. The process of becoming an adult mainly involves the search for identity, autonomy and place in society. The study demonstrates how this can be understood as a process where experiences from the past interplay with expectations for the future. It highlights the complexity and diversity of the transition from youth to adulthood, and the fact that meanings of adulthood are neither self-evident nor definite. Life-stories as told by the participants arise to a large degree in negotiation with narrative life-scripts. These scripts structure the stories and provide a basis for evaluation of their own lives. The study also points out that young people´s life stories are part of a double hermeneutic process where a “Grand Narrative” about the individualised society is interpreted and reproduced.
